Catamaran Maxicat

Tenerife water activities offer is wide, with options both for adventure seekers and families who want to have a relaxing time. One of the most interesting options is Maxicat , an ecological catamaran placed in Puerto Colon , an exclusive harbour located in Tenerife’s South Coast, that goes across the border of South Tenerife and includes sightings of whales, dolphins and turtles .

The catamaran is an ecological ship that can accommodate up to 108 people. with different zones and a hammocks’ area , suspended between the sea and the catamaran with thick cords, the perfect place to take a sunbath and completely relax. There’re also zones with sun light and shadow, where you can alternate or stay due to your preference. One of the best moments is when, in the cetaceans’ site, the Capitan turn off the engines and the whales approach the boat , and you feel that you could almost touch them with your hand.

It also has a buffet and a beverages’ open bar included in the excursion fee, and also guides that explain you everything throughout the trip. The route comprises several stages, first the sightseeing’s site, then a lunch break, later a quick stop in Diego Hernández – La Caleta bay where you can swim for about forty minutes and finally the return.

Even though it’s not guaranteed, it’s practically sure that you’d see whales , dolphins and turtles , because even though these are nomad species, they have permanent colonies in these areas. It’s very funny to watch the tourist jump from the boat and land in the Atlantic Ocean . A very nice experience to break the routine or to enjoy something different while you are on holidays in Tenerife .

Maxicat offers you:

• A 3-hour morning trip from 10 AM to 1 PM (on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays), which includes a sandwich and some fruits. The afternoon trip is from 1h15 to 4h15 PM (on Thursdays and Saturdays) and includes a paella and some fruits. There is a late afternoon trip on Sundays from 4h30 PM to 7H30 PM.

The child rate is valid for 6 to 11 years. Free for children under 6 years.

• Should you not show up for any reason, and you have not contacted us regarding this (at least 5 hours before departure time). Then you will lose the deposit paid and get a fine of 600€. This is because the crew and prepared food for you is already arranged and waiting for you.
• If you get sick or want to end the trip earlier, you won’t get refunded.
• Should you be late on the day of your boat trip, it will be deducted from your hired time. Should the boat leave late (which is not your fault), the lost time will be added to your trip.
• Should you come with less or more persons than indicated. Contact us up to 12 hours before the departure time. You will then either get a refund of the extra amount paid or we will send you a payment link to settle the deposit for the extra people.

3h whale watching excursion in costa adeje.

This great excursion leaves every day from Puerto Colón, in Costa Adeje (Tenerife). The 3-hour Catamaran boat leaves daily and sails, looking for whales and dolphins in the coastal area of Costa Adeje. On this Dolphin and Whale watching Tour, the catamaran crew will inform you about the characteristics of the cetacean species in their natural environment. You’ll learn about their species, food migrations etc. Once you have had the chance to appreciate the cetaceans you can relax and sunbathe or just get a swim in the warm Atlantic Ocean. Finally return to Puerto Colon.

You’ll almost certainly get to see pilot whales on your boat trip. They inhabit the warm waters around the boat, maximizing the likelihood that you’ll spot them. You may even get lucky and spot some bigger whales, dolphins, or turtles too.

Please note sun beds are extra and are on a first come first served basis!
