Sail Performance

Description

The C-Cat 37 was born to offer to an owner “evolved in sailing” a perfect boat for the ocean cruise, with high performance without sacrificing space and comfort that only a catamaran can offer. The C-Cat 37 is the first work of a range that includes 3 other larger models designed by Marc Lombard, is a concentrate of innovations that, in the ambition of the shipyard, it will be “the point of reference” to the market in its category. Performance At the base of the hull design, lines innovative, thin and with little wetted surface, promise benefits as long as you respect the displacements and to be able to withstand a powerful sail plan in comfort and safety; for this has been chosen sandwich construction and the infusion technique with the use of epoxy-vinyl resin and fabrics quadraxial. The weight/sail area is by far the best in its class. To concentrate the weight, it was decided to group the plants, and move the engines, while encouraging performance in the maneuver under sail, bound always catamarans, the rudders were located more aft as possible. Even the life raft ‘was housed in a forward position under the seat aft of the cockpit locker accessible from a dual opening always accessible. The sail plan, such as the anchor immediately forward of the deckhouse contributes to the weight concentration and provides a set back of the mast without stifling the size of the mainsail, the real engine of the C-Cat37. The hulls are thin and high on the water, to reduce the wetted surface and a cockpit at 65-70 cm from the waterline to prevent the annoying impact of the waves on the bottom of the boat in rough seas. Safety The boat has been designed to be unsinkable with 4 watertight compartments, 2 forward and 2 aft bearing bulkhead pass-through for the passage of pipes and cables in order to ensure absolute waterproofness. The crash box in the bow, consists of a sacrificial part of the hull that in the event of a collision at high speed, breaking, absorbs the impact avoiding structural damage. The life raft is in a convenient and safe location inside the cockpit and it can stow it through a trap door outside. The presence of walkways free of hatches, promote a shift in the bow, and the ventilation of the interior is left to the fixed skylights at the top of the side windows. All lines are led back to the cockpit, including reefing lines, which can be directly controlled from the wheelhouse, without being obliged to leave the cockpit to steer or reduce the canvas. Even the jib sheet, the rail and the mainsheet are within reach of the helmsman. It is also provided a security system already in use on ocean-going catamarans racing, through software, reads any critical structures of the catamaran and automatically loose the sails. The sacrificial drifts, glued with a mastic structural aeroderivative, in case of impact break without damaging the lamination, thus avoiding any water way. In case of breaking the drifts are easily replaceable. For discerning boaters have the option to install the transmission shaft, which ensures low maintenance and operations less complex, can be performed anywhere in the world. Comfort Utmost care was given to the comfort on board. The hulls thin in water are characterized by a strong redan that out of the flotation significantly broadens the interior space without penalizing performance. In accordance with the shipyard, the interior can be customized. The double helm aft makes the cockpit free of clutter and it is the largest in its class, thanks to the sliding doors, the feeling is that of a typical open space in continuity with the saloon, giving the feeling of a large volume. The cockpit is equipped with a hard top provides a full closure which effectively creates a single well-dinette leaving a corridor of 70 inches between the wheelhouses. Aft will be a small bridge to be free from the side, to facilitate the entry on board even in the moorings at side. The kitchen is located between the cockpit and the saloon and is accessible from both areas, the absence of steps between these two environments facilitates the passage, a step aft ensures a dry and sheltered from the sea. Through careful study of the interiors we have created a layout that has nothing to envy to 40 feet. The unusual position of the second bathroom on the inside of the hull in two cabins, it dramatically increases the brightness and interior space. The interior layout provides a real cabin, served by a bathroom with separate shower. In the 3 cabin version, it is possible to have in cabin bunk beds staggered, and in the other hull to set up a small crew cabin forward of the owner’s bathroom. Is possible to set up an internal location served by a joystick maneuvering and engine controls. Design The shipyard has always paid attention to the design and details. The proportion between the hull and deck despite the small size is optimal. The interiors designed by the internal study C-Catamarans are made with great care and high standards.

2023 C-Catamarans C-CAT 37

With her powerful sail plane, and elegant Italian finishes the C-Catamaran 37 is the perfect blend of form and function. Each C-Catamaran is built to order by the legendary Comar Shipyard in Fiumicino, Italy. Comar was the first Italian Shipyard to embrace modern construction methods and materials back in the 1960’s.

The C-Catmaran 37 is the legendary brand’s first foray into multihulls space, and an instant success. Each boat is hand built to the client’s exacting specification. The harmonious blend of old world craftsmanship and the latest technology in shipbuilding has created a boat that is not only fast and fun to sail, but also a safe, secure, and comfortable platform for cruising.

Performance:

The hulls were designed by legendary naval architect, Marc Lombard, to have very narrow entries into the water, reduced wetted surfaces, and weight saving measures through the use of infusion of epoxy resins, quadraxial fiberglass, and high tech foam coring. Every effort was made on the C-Catamaran 37 to keep the weight central on the boat to create sailing and more comfortable catamaran. This was accomplished by placing heavy equipment, such as the engines, as close to the center of the vessel as possible.

The C-Catamaran 37 has been designed to be unsinkable with 4 watertight compartments, two forward and two aft. The decks onboard the boat are kept neat and tidy, reducing any tripping hazards, and all of the running rigging is run back to the cockpit.

The downfall to almost all catamarans under 40ft is their livability. C-Catamarans succeed in creating an extremely comfortable and accommodating exterior and interior layout onboard the boat. There is a natural flow from the cockpit to the salon, and sleeping quarters. The kitchen and cold storage is more than adequate for the weekend getaway, or longer trips to the Bahamas and Caribbean. She is a truly a pocket cruising catamaran. Another huge differentiator of the C-Catamaran 37 is the ability to have a 2 cabin, 3 cabin, or 4 cabin layout. Making her the ideal boat for a couple, a family, or a sailing school/charter operator.

Le Catamaran pour tous vos programmes

Un multicoque confortable, moderne et efficace de 37 pieds

Le chantier italien Comar, réputé pour la finition et la ligne de ses Comet, a fait appel à l’architecte  Marc Lombard  (Neel 47, Ofcet 32, Open 46, Imoca 4myPlanet ou encore l’ensemble de la gamme RM…) pour son premier catamaran C-Cat de 37 pieds. Avec le C-Cat 37 celui-ci signe, comme à son habitude, un multicoque racé, efficace et confortable permettant tous les programmes.

C-Cat 37 : Plus léger et plus rapide

Avec un déplacement lège de 5,5 tonnes pour une surface au près de 79 m² le catamaran C-Cat 37 jouit d’un coefficient de rapidité dans  le haut de la fourchette des catamarans de croisière .

Bien que  compact  avec ses 11 mètres de long pour 5,80 mètres de large, l’aménagement du ce nouveau catamaran de 37 pieds , est confortable avec des couchettes doubles en 1m60 à l’arrière de chaque flotteur et 1 couchette superposée futée à l’avant bâbord. La table du carré peut à son tour être transformée en lit deux places pour proposer 8 couchages.

Le multicoque pour le plaisir de la Croisière

A bord du C-Cat 37,  un vaste espace, très « open »  vous permet de profiter de toute la surface du large cockpit et du carré. A l’ancre, l’accès direct à la baignade promet des mouillages inoubliables et conviviaux. Arrivé au port, les tauds latéraux sous le hard top peuvent fermer le cockpit, et le rendent très chaleureux, intime, et toujours de plain-pied avec le carré. Les amoureux de la voile apprécieront la glisse des carènes signées Marc Lombard.  Un devis de poids soigné, une construction à l’unité  sont d’autres atouts visant la performance. Enfin, un plan de voiture généreux et très équilibré garantit  des vitesses que bien peu de concurrents pourront atteindre . Même par petit temps, l’agréement à la barre est surprenant. Les coffres arrières et les grandes bailles en pied de mat offrent de  généreux volumes de rangement , pour grandes croisières… ou grandes familles !

Le confort du catamaran, l’aménagement à la carte

Dans le C-CAT-37,  la lumière est partout , tant dans le carré que dans les coques, grâce à  de larges ouvertures pour une vue mer imprenable . A l’intérieur du multicoque , l’équipage trouvera tous les équipets et rangements nécessaires. L’aménagement peut proposer 2, 3 ou 4 cabines. Douche séparée, grandes penderies, coin sofa seront l’apanage de la version propriétaire.

• Construction

La  robuste construction fait appel à des tissus multiaxiaux et unidirectionnels, une ame de  sandwich en mousse Corecell , l’ensemble étant construit par infusion de résines époxyvinylester.

Habitué à choyer ses clients, le chantier reste à l’écoute des demandes de personnalisation, qui peuvent aller bien au-delà des choix de tissus, couleurs et équipement.

Lors de sa construction en composite de verre infusé (époxyvinylester et drapage multi-axiaux et unidirectionnels sur une âme en Corecell),  l’ensemble de la coque est cuite d’une seule pièce (en “one shot”) , ce qui apporte au catamaran une rigidité de structure, pour un en faire  un catamaran réactif  et apte à affronter les traversées les plus longues ou les plus agitées.

愛媛県内のインフルエンザ患者数が急増 新型コロナは横ばいで推移

愛媛県内の感染症の患者報告数、新型コロナは横ばいで推移していますが、インフルエンザは急増しています。 まずはインフルエンザです。 県によりますと、今月11日から17日までの患者報告数は1定点医療機関あたり21.28人と、前の週の14.23人から1.5倍に急増しました。 保健所別でみると、特に東予地域で報告数が多く、四国中央は前の週より15.40人増えた36.80人となり、西条と合わせて警報レベルに達したほか、今治でもおよそ2.4倍に増えた26.00人となりました。 変わって新型コロナは、前の週から0.18人減って1定点医療機関あたり5.25人となりました。 県内全体では、2月中旬以降、6週連続で減少しています 卒業や進学転勤などのシーズンを迎えて人が集まる機会が増え、感染が拡大しやすくなることから、県では感染対策の徹底を呼び掛けています。

The league made the announcement Thursday, saying it was shutting down the Henderson, Nevada-based Ignite because of “the changing basketball landscape, including the NCAA’s Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) policy and the advent of collectives and the transfer portal” as its primary reasons.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver suggested this could happen last month at the All-Star Game, saying then that the league was “reassessing” the Ignite program. It was started by the NBA to give players who aren’t yet eligible for the draft — but who didn’t want to go to college — a chance to essentially play professional basketball and prepare for the draft as part of a developmental but still competitive program.

“Four years ago, we started Ignite to fill a void in the basketball landscape, and I’m proud of the contributions we were able to make to that ecosystem,” G League President Shareef Abdur-Rahim said. “With the changing environment across youth and collegiate basketball, now is the right time to take this step.”

The changes in college basketball, particularly those allowing athletes to cash in through NIL deals, made the college experience more attractive to the types of players that the Ignite originally targeted.

“Some of those same players that didn’t want to be one-and-done players because they felt it was unfair and they wanted the ability to not just earn a living playing basketball but to do commercial deals that weren’t available to them in college … now all those same abilities have become available to them,” Silver said last month.

This season’s Ignite roster has projected top NBA Draft picks Matas Buzelis and Ron Holland. There are nine Ignite veterans currently on NBA rosters, including Scoot Henderson, Jalen Green, Dyson Daniels and Jonathan Kuminga.

The Ignite will play its final game on March 28 against the Ontario Clippers.

Trump’s social media company approved to go public, potentially netting former president billions

NEW YORK (AP) — Donald Trump is returning to the stock market.

Shareholders of Digital World Acquisition Corp., a publicly traded shell company, approved a deal to merge with the former president’s media business in a Friday vote. That means Trump Media & Technology Group, whose flagship product is social networking site Truth Social, will soon begin trading on the Nasdaq stock market.

Trump could receive a sizeable payout in the process. He would own most of the combined company — or nearly 79 million shares. Multiply that by Digital World’s closing stock price Thursday of $42.81, and the total value of Trump’s stake could surpass $3 billion. The shares did fall 6% after the merger approval was disclosed.

The deal receives a greenlight at a time the presumptive Republican presidential nominee is facing his most costly legal battle to date: a $454 million judgment in a fraud lawsuit.

But Trump won’t be able to cash out the deal’s windfall immediately, unless some things change, due to a “lock-up” provision that prevents company insiders from selling newly issued shares for six months.

Trump’s presidential campaign did not immediately respond to request for comment.

Trump’s earlier foray into the stock market didn’t end well. Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts went public in 1995 under the symbol DJT — the same symbol Trump Media will trade under. By 2004, Trump’s casino company had filed for bankruptcy protection and was delisted from the New York Stock Exchange.

Ahead of the merger’s approval, Digital World’s regulatory filings listed many of the risks its investors face, as well as those of the Truth Social owner once Trump Media also goes public.

One risk, the company said, is that Trump would be entitled to vote in his own interest as a controlling stockholder — which may not always be in the interests of all shareholders. Digital World also cited the high rate of failure for new social media platforms, as well as Trump Media’s expectation that it would lose money on its operations “for the foreseeable future.”

Trump Media lost $49 million in the first nine months of last year, when it brought in just $3.4 million in revenue and had to pay $37.7 million in interest expenses.

Trump Media and Digital World first announced their merger plans in October 2021. In addition to a federal probe , the deal has faced a series of lawsuits leading up to Friday’s vote.

Truth Social launched in February 2022 , one year after Trump was banned from major social platforms including Facebook and Twitter, the platform now known as X, following the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. He’s since been reinstated to both but has stuck with Truth Social as a megaphone for his message.

Trump promoted Truth Social in a post on the social media network Thursday evening, saying: “TRUTH SOCIAL IS MY VOICE, AND THE REAL VOICE OF AMERICA!!! MAGA2024!!!”

Trump Media hasn’t so far disclosed Truth Social’s user numbers. But research firm Similarweb estimates that it had roughly 5 million active mobile and web users in February. That’s far below TikTok’s more than 2 billion and Facebook’s 3 billion — but still higher than rivals like Parler, which has been offline for nearly a year but is planning a comeback, or Gettr, which had less than 2 million visitors in February.
