Glittz : Alright, this scenario is going to be a little different.

Aizawa : Different how?

Glittz : This next reaction isn't an AU...

Asui : Then what is it?

Glittz : It's another universe entirely. It's about a teenage boy who has superpowers which make him half ghost and half human. He and his two friends fight ghost together.

Kota : G-ghosts?!

Glittz : Yes, real ghosts. But no need to worry. The only ones you should really worry about are Skulker, Ember, the Ghost King, Technus, the Fright Knight, and Vlad Plasmius. Oh and Bakugo should watch out for Poindexter.

Midoriya : That's a lot to worry about!

Glittz : Oh I guess it is. Too bad.

Glittz snapped her fingers and a portal opened up beneath 1A and 1B, but their seats stood in place.

Glittz : Think of this as a field trip.

Kaminari : Woah woah woah! Is that a portal to that ghost world?!

Glittz : This might hurt but trust me you'll be fine.

She snapped again and the seats disappeared.

The classes fell through, with half of them screaming.

The portal closed, leaving only the villains, Aizawa, All Might, Present Mic, and Glittz.

Dabi : ...well shit.

All Might : Why did you do that?

Glittz : They couldn't just sit here and expect a calm vacation from school.

Present Mic: Well she is right...

Aizawa : You can't just teleport my students away and expect them to be fine!

Glittz : Don't worry, if anything gets too out of hand, I'll step in. But I doubt anything horrible will happen.

(Takes place after Phantom Planet, so spoilers ahead!)

The two classes fell through the sky and landed on the road, which was softer than normal, courtesy of Glittz.

"When I see that Glitter-bitch again I'm going to kill her!" Bakugo yelled.

"Oh wow and I guess our speech format changed too." Asui said.

"What?" A few students asked.

"What? Kero..." Asui responded.

"Well first things first. We need to find this 'ghost boy' maybe he can help us." Iida said.

"Alright..." Midoriya said.

The sky was currently dark here, which definitely wasn't normal.

"Hey...do you hear that?" Uraraka asked.

"Hear what?" Jiro asked, plugging her earphone Jack into a nearby wall, "...there's a fight going on over there."

The class walked towards the direction of the fight.

They turned the corner to see an interesting sight.

There were a few ghosts flying around a boy around their age.

The strange boy flew into the air and started to blast the ghosts out of the sky.

"That's a sight you don't see every day." Midoriya said.

1A and 1B watched as the Ghost boy shot ecto-rays at the specters.

"We should help!" Kendo said.

"Alright, let's go!" Midoriya exclaimed, a few students shouting out with him, catching the attention of a few ghosts.

Danny noticed a few of the ghosts flying towards a group of people he's never seen before.

"Oh no you dont!" Danny yelled, flying towards the group.

But to his surprise, a few in the group managed to attack the ghosts.

A boy with spikey blonde hair unleashed violent explosions from his hands, which blasted half of the ghosts away from them.

A girl with brown hair and pink cheeks jumped up into the air, and when she touched a ghost It began to float up into the air, unable to control it's flying.

Another girl with what looked like earphone jacks hanging from her ears plugged them into her boots and powerful soundwaves blasted a few ghosts away from her.

Danny was astounded by the abilities of these people he had never seen before.

Danny knew if he interfered then he might get hit by one of their strange powers.

He landed next to his best friend and girlfriend, Tucker Foley and Sam Manson.

"Hey, who are those people? They look so cool!" Tucker smiled he held up his PDA and scanned the new group, "Their power levels are off the charts!"

"Tucker, this is serious. They could be here to cause trouble." Sam frowned.

"Sam's right, Tucker. I'm pretty sure some of them are more powerful than me." Danny said.

"Is someone jealous?" Sam asked, with a small smile forming.

"I'm not! I'm just naturally cautious around people I don't know. Especially people who can whip ghosts around like it's nothing." Danny said.

"Good point." Tucker said.

"Look!" Sam said, pointing towards the group.

The three teens looked towards the battle scene. All of the ghosts had fled, and it looked as if a few of the teenagers were trying to hold back the spikey haired boy from earlier.

Danny quickly flew up to them and froze their feet to the ground.

"Hey!" Ashido frowned.

"What's the big idea?" Kirishima said.

"Sorry. But I can't risk anything until I know who you are." Danny said.

"Apologies. We did not mean to worry you. We just wished to help out." Todoroki said.

"We saw you fighting all of those...ghosts, and we just wanted to help you." Iida said.

"We mean no harm. We swear." Kendo said.

"Alright..." Danny unfroze the ice, although a few students beat him to it.

"Ok, who are all of you? And how did you get those cool powers?" Sam asked, walking up to the group alongside Danny and Tucker.

"We're classes 1A and 1B. And we didn't get these powers, I guess we were born with them." Uraraka said.

"Born with them? So you guys are like...mutants?" Tucker asked.

"I find that term very offensive." Shiozaki said.

"We're not mutants, dude. We're just heroes in training." Kaminari said.

"We're from Japan. We were brought here by a...friend of ours." Midoriya smiled.

"Ok then...what are your names?" Danny asked.

The 40 students told the three teenagers their names, and they were left with a lot to process.

"You're going to have to forgive us, we may have trouble pronouncing a few of those." Sam sighed.

"Now that's out of the way...what are all of you doing here?" Danny asked.

Danny runs afoul of a man-obsessed ghost who turns him into a 24-year-old.

• 0% Approval Rating : Nobody likes Helena in the Ghost Zone or human world. Men fear her because she turns violent when they either reject her or fail to meet her ludicrously high standards. Women hate her for trying to steal their boyfriends and they just find her desperation annoying. The Ghost Zone residents only bother to learn where her domain is so they can make sure to AVOID it.
• She also becomes this even to adult Danny as Helena doesn't mind that he's still mentally a teenager since she finds his adult form really handsome and is perfectly fine with forcing him to marry her.
• Helena doesn't waste any time becoming this to Vlad as well when he de-ages himself back to his college years. He finds her even more repulsive now that she has aged into an old lady.
• Ms. Testlaff is one of "Dante's" admirers, much to Danny's horror.
• Accidental Misnaming : Cassandra Evergreen just can't get her assistant Lionel Lutz's name right despite having him work for her for three years, even Danny can remember his name even though they only met once. Granted she made it clear she doesn't care about Lionel's name.
• Action Girl : Ember responds to Skulker's attempts to harass her into getting back together with him by beating the snot out of him and trashing his suit.
• Adaptational Sexuality : Andy's sexuality was never revealed in the show, but here he's bisexual as he's attracted to women and finds adult Danny handsome.
• Alliterative Name : Ch et Ch amberson.
• All Amazons Want Hercules : Ember is very much attracted to adult Danny's newfound power.
• All Women Are Lustful : Practically every woman (human and ghost) who sees Danny falls instantly for him and tries to flirt and win him over.
• And This Is for... : Trying to appease Helena, Danny tries to convince her to go after Vlad but she recognizes him as Plasmius' human form and blasts Danny, saying it's for wasting her time.
• Helena's entire purpose in the afterlife. She just wants to be Happily Married ! Obviously, harassing men and marrying them by force is the only way to make that beautiful dream happen! Just ask adult Danny.
• Vlad plans to do this to Maddie by using Helena's pocket watch to turn Jack into dust, then return himself and Maddie back to their ages in college because he thinks she'll have no choice but to be with him.
• Aroused by Their Voice : Danny's older self also includes a smooth, deep voice. It's another thing that makes women attracted to him. Him singing even resulted in some admirers fainting.
• Bad Boss : Cassandra Evergreen is not a nice person to work for as she's very loud and demanding to her assistant Lionel Lutz, plus she can never get his name right despite knowing him for three years.
• Bad Date : Ms. Tetslaff apparently is always in a bad mood when this happens, and takes her frustration out on her students.

• Hunk : Danny becomes this when he's turned into a 24-year-old.
• Hypocrite : Johnny gets mad at Kitty for drooling over adult Danny even though, as she points out, he always hits on every attractive girl he sees.
• I Didn't Mean to Turn You On : Danny unknowingly does this to a lot of women with his good looks. Even Sam can't resist drooling over his muscles.
• Imaginary Love Triangle : Danny's female admirers fight with each other for his attention while not understanding that he has no interest in any of them.

Her last few fics are a little harder to read, but her intricacies, attention to detail, vivid storytelling, and creativity makes her work a pleasure to read.

• Comments: Do you think you could write better than the third season material? Well, Blue did and put the money where their mouth is-Livin' Large, with the aims of generally doing it better-increasing and deepening exchanges between main cast, changing the moral from "riches make Fentons jerks" to "money can't make them any happier than they already are" and to improve continuity. She succeeded, after a three year hiatus it is finished.

He toys with Danny's mind, goes even further to get his We Can Rule Together speech in, and goes as far as to break Danny to get what he wants and make it easier to toy with Danny's mind. Several Not So Different moments occur. And in the end, Danny reluctantly leaves his home and heads off for Vlad's mansion.
• User:Anthiens : The story is long, arc based with much Contemplate Our Navels and side stories that may or may not be liked. It gets better as it goes along and again, is very, very long . The characterization is spot on.
• User:Canto Candidus : Sometimes it's pretty Wangst , and one of the worst cases of Boring Failure Hero I've ever seen for Danny, also Vlad can be seen wearing some very stylish leather pants , the author herself is a pretty 'intense' Vlad fangirl so it's expected, also tried to read past chapter 40 but the three tropes mentioned before became too much for my Willing Suspension of Disbelief , it's a pretty 'love it, hate it' fic in my point of view. At least the writting is clean.
• User:J Blaze : Tentative disagree here. I got about 40K words in and lost interest. Part of the reason the fic is so long is because it delves frequently into navel contemplation and aimless sideplots that are really quite dull and lack tension.
• The Blood Sharpie: Also disagreeing a bit with the quality of the actual writing. Not the plot; it is cleverly done and well-thought-out - but I got about five chapter in a couldn't read it anymore. I may have been spoiled by people with betas, and it's ignorable, but it's still jarring to catch a small but important grammatical or spelling mistake every five or so sentences and be yanked out of the story. Good plot, but it could stand some revising.
• Hedgi: It seems that Pearl's gone back and edited quite a bit. I'm rather enjoying the ride. A few parts do tend to be slow, and it is very, very long, but it's quite good.

Even more notable is the other three works that accompany it, which include Valerie's story, a story that focuses on the psychological implications that make up Dan and Dan being returned to his own time. • Dellanotte: I'll have to contest that "in character" comment. Danny's acting far too chipper for someone who practically lost his whole world in one fell swoop, and Bruce stops being a loner fairly quickly. For that matter, most of the League is far too quick to jump in and start treating him like a long-lost son. Overall, the character development moves far too quickly, but beyond that it's not a bad read.

Also contains gratuitous Fan Service , revealed by how all the female characters he writes are hot and useless or hot and evil, and described purely in terms of physical traits. The author really shows his stripes when he turns the show into a Harem Series with Sam, Spectra, Ember, Valerie, and Paulina , at one point or another, vying for Danny's attention.

Also, the Stu/OC, Noel, tends to be reigned in a lot more in the purely Teen Titans fics, apparently he got a little out of control here...

Life goes on for Danny, and everyone else, and his life takes a detour that is certainly interesting. A shame it was never continued , but what is there is stunning.

Five years later, swearing never to use his powers again and reforging himself with the new identity of Alex Maphton, Danny/Alex's new world as a loner college sophmore is turned upside down when Sam arrives as a new student, alive and well. Not only that, but the two form a fast friendship, even though she doesn't recognize him. This slowly leads him into a chain of events that slowly force Danny back out of the shadows he's tried so hard to hide in.
• Comments: I can honestly say that this is THE best piece of fanfiction I can ever remember reading yet. Thought-provoking and incredibly well-written, "Take a Look in the Mirror" is an incredible depiction of a darker version of the Danny Phantom world, as well as some of the more serious sides of being a hero. But what stands out by far in this fic is the emotional impact. The conversation between Jazz and Alex in Chapter 8: Unexpected Turmoil Where they talked indirectly about Danny and about why he ran away and why he wasn't revealing himself, both perfectly aware that the person they were talking about was him, had me in tears before I realized I was crying, as did Danny's conversation with Sam in the next chapter . Very sadly, it is long dead , although for where it ends, it's not too bad. No Cliffhangers that leave you screaming or anything. Very strong recommend.

Danny's family and friends are divided in more ways than one, and it's taking its toll on everyone. Bit by bit, this story reveals pieces of the puzzle that answer one simple question: "What happened?" Then it drives forward to it's conclusion to answer a second: "What will happen?"
• Comments: Another one of the best pieces I've ever read. Myaibou, more than any author I've yet seen in the fandom, writes an intriguing scenario for what happens after Phantom Planet, and possibly one of the most accurate ones if Danny Phantom were real - with a country as likely to persecute a savior of the planet as thank him, all because he's different. The reality with which she writes the struggles and challenges of trying to mount a political campaign in the face of adversity (as well as several other problems that Danny's disappearance causes) is incredible, and when Myaibou added an original character to the mix, he integrated himself into the fold very nicely. This Troper found herself watery-eyed one moment, covering her mouth with laughter the next, then moments later gasping with shock at an unexpected revelation. And the epilogue is cute for its own sake. There's something about a floating drool-covered green teething ring that just makes you want to say "d'aww." Major recommendations, along with Myaibou's other Danny Phantom stories.

• Seconded. The author treats Dark Phantom more as a version of Danny that got badly corrupted than as a completely different being, but this troper still found herself enjoying the story very much, especially after Chapter 24 or so.

When he's eventually claimed by a strange family called the Fentons, who tell him that he is the only survivor of a camping trip with Tucker Foley and Sam Manson gone awry, Danny struggles with guilt, alcohol addiction, and his own mental darkness.
• Gracie Geek : So, SO seconded! This author knows how to write some truly great psychological nightmare fuel - Danny's breakdown is written very realistically, and some parts are so heartbreakingly hard to read, but I can't put it down. The best DP fanfic I've read, period.

• Comments : A very interesting look at the sort of person Danny would be if he didn't have Sam and Tucker to back him up throughout his early ghost adventures, and what would happen if he met them only after establishing himself as a hero. There are a few spelling and grammatical mistakes, but not enough to detract from the story. Also, it brings in the argument of "is ghost hunting ethical" now and then.

The later chapters are brimming with action and excitement and keeps you constantly on the edge of your seat. The action scenes could be comparable to Danny's Inferno , which is very nice, and plus, it feeds your inner sadist!

• Comments : This is by far the best OC fanfic I have read. Despite the fact that Danny's missing, you find yourself wanting to read on and on. Plus, the very fact that Danny is not seen for a third of the story makes it even better when he actually does. All of the characters are very sweet, even Dash's son. One thing I didn't like as much as the rest of the story was the one super long flashback scene interrupts the action scene at its very peak . Kind of annoying and unnecessary, in my opinion.

Pulls the feat off with cynicism and the frustrations of social inequality instead of heaping on the gore and angst, with just enough hope and sarcasm to not make it a complete downer to read. This type of stuff isn't my forte, but I need to give credit where credit is due — this is an amazing fic, and it made me cry, it got me to vibrate in my chair in exitement, and it made me desperate for more all the way 'till the end. It is worth reading alone for the author's extremely well-written take on Clockwork, and his and Danny's developing friendship. There is also a fourth fic, however it has not been updated in almost 4 years - comments have basically devolved into pleas for the author to come back.

• User:J Blaze : Seconded, although I don't know if I should put my name next to this rec . Reading this was a total Bile Fascination , I admit. The author managed to do 90% of things I hate to see in romance fics, and I still read the entire thing, plus all the sequels and spin-offs. The author is great at keeping interest and tension, even if the plot is made of pure unadulterated Squick nine times out of ten.

Narcissim by WTF Wonder

• Synopsis : "Huh, I guess this makes me a sadist, a sociopath AND a narcissist." Not work safe !
• Comments : Quite probably a Stealth Parody of Shipping fics, this is an extremely well written, utterly in-character story about possibly the most disturbing ship. The thing to watch for here is the bits going on in the backround-Clockwork's gambit to eventually rescue Danny being interesting and the coolest origin of Spectra ever. It's extremely disturbing... but if you want to see the most horrific deconstruction of a pairing ever, this is your stop. It is not mutual, it is extremely horrifying to even A Clockwork Orange levels and yet, it's really, really good. Even the Dog Is Ashamed by this fic.

How Feelings Change by Dirty Thoughts of Bliss.

• Synopsis : Danny and Sam finally get together after they graduate from high school and are planning on attending the same college. Then Danny finds a mysterious pendant while cleaning his room which kicks off a series of events.
• Comments : It's very well written albeit a bit long compared to most fanfics, but well worth a read if you're a Danny/Sam fan. Warning though, some chapters are NSFW.

Time Tampering by Kimurasato

• Pairings : Danny/Vlad, Maddie/Jack
• Synopsis : Danny accidentally gets thrown into the 80's and gets to know Vlad before the accident. Unfortunately, he's stuck there and ends up... well... Exactly What It Says on the Tin .
• Comments : Somewhat known and written some time before, it contains cross dressing due to a bet. It's well written and finished, which some good old fics tend not to be. There's some cameos from two ghosts I was not expecting and it actually dodges some of the pitfalls of time travel fic.

• Synopsis : Crossover with Teen Titans . Raven thinks that her curse of immortality completely isolates her from humanity, until she meets a boy who has exactly the same problem.
• Comments : The fairy-tale-esque, distanced but emotional language BJA Fan uses to word this is beautiful and packs a huge impact.

• Comments : It's well written, the chapters can get pretty long, and its full of suspense and romance between Danny and Sam.

Adversus Adverto by Nimrod the Writer

• Pairing: Danny/Vlad (so, yes, it is slash. Very much so.)
• Synopsis: "Vlad is not an irrational man. He makes plans and he follows those plans. Unless, of course, Danny Fenton is involved."
• Comments: The story is brilliantly thought out and executed, with everyone delightfully in-character and, of course, going to increasing lengths to keep this whole thing a secret under the adults' very noses. It picks up in the middle of the series, during the Wake Up, Go to School, Save the World episodes - you know, they kind where it doesn't matter if you watch them in order. Updates are slow, but it's not Dead Fic , and be forewarned: this fic very much deserves the M rating it has on FF.net.

• Comments: This is a character-driven fic that balances some comedy with fluff with a dose of angst, and is Better Than It Sounds . Whilst ultimately, the focus will be Danny/Val, the author has so far given five minutes in the spotlight (uh, literally) to Paulina, Dash and Kwan and actually treated them like human beings (shallow / slight jerky human beings, but nonetheless). Her last few fics are a little harder to read, but her intricacies, attention to detail, vivid storytelling, and creativity makes her work a pleasure to read.

Well, Blue did and put the money where their mouth is-Livin' Large, with the aims of generally doing it better-increasing and deepening exchanges between main cast, changing the moral from "riches make Fentons jerks" to "money can't make them any happier than they already are" and to improve continuity. She succeeded, after a three year hiatus it is finished.

• Synopsis : Danny died when his son was four years old. Many years later, his (non-powered) son and twin granddaughters are sell-outs, and no ghosts have been seen for many years. His grandson Alan, an ex-boxer, doesn't buy it at all until he becomes a halfa himself by accident. Now, ghosts mistake him for Danny, and a still-living Vlad is digging around.
• Comments : Much love for boxing and detective work. This work is a far cry from the usual "next generation" stories and has dry wit to match its originality. Highly recommended. Most unfortunately a Dead Fic .

• Synopsis : Danny's family died. Now, years later, Danny isn't a pure ghost, but Vlad's adopted son, and he isn't all that pure anymore. He then gets transported to a reality where Clockwork saved his family, and he finds out that he was sent there for a reason.
• Comments : The writer does an excellent job in writing a more than slightly cracked up Danny-who-isn't-quite-Danny and getting it to make sense, which is really hard.

• Synopsis : The story of The Ultimate Enemy from the mouth of the monster himself.
• Comments : Connecting a number of missing pieces and unwritten history, this is first of a quartology , no joke. Most notably, it touches on why Dan has such an interest in killing Valerie and his misadventures in the Ghost Zone and attacks on Amity Park. Even more notable is the other three works that accompany it, which include Valerie's story, a story that focuses on the psychological implications that make up Dan and Dan being returned to his own time. Has influenced Fanon as well.

All's Well that Ends Well by Esme Phantom (AU)

• Synopsis : When a field trip goes horribly wrong, Lancer becomes a halfa .
• Comments : This fic has single-handedly inspired Fanon for many fans, and it's entertaining as hell to read. Lancer gets a rare, positive spotlight and is better for it.

• Comments : How long would it take for villains to get bored, anyway? Absolutely hilarious.

After a concussion, Danny's having problems remembering the oddest things... only that's not what is wrong. His powers are going weird the more he uses them... and so, a visit to Vlad finds something far worse than a concussion going on.
• Comments : Paranoia Fuel . Who's to say that you aren't you, but somebody else? It also has a real world scientific explanation for Dani being a girl.

• Comments : A plot used rather often, Darth Frodo takes it and turns it into a truly great fic. The first time through I read it all in one night, very excellent. Currently ongoing, takes place instead of Reality Trip.

Plasmius: The Orgins of Vlad! by wafische

• Synopsis : The full story of Vlad, from the accident that gave him his powers to his first contact with Danny.
• Comments : Very well written, with little contradiction. Written before season three, so none of the Character Derailment Vlad from that season. Complete.

• Synopsis : After an explosive disaster, Danny finds himself alone. Old dreams mingle with new obsessions, drawing him inexplicably skyward.
• Comments : The way Danny finds himself coping after Sam and Tucker have died is the most realistic reaction I have ever seen in fanfiction. Life goes on for Danny, and everyone else, and his life takes a detour that is certainly interesting. A shame it was never continued , but what is there is stunning.

Take a Look in the Mirror by Halacanno (AU)

Five years later, swearing never to use his powers again and reforging himself with the new identity of Alex Maphton, Danny/Alex's new world as a loner college sophmore is turned upside down when Sam arrives as a new student, alive and well. Not only that, but the two form a fast friendship, even though she doesn't recognize him. This slowly leads him into a chain of events that slowly force Danny back out of the shadows he's tried so hard to hide in.

• Comments : A hilarious fic that involves almost every DP villain, all bursting in at inopportune times to bestow Danny with ghostly presents. It has its serious moments, too, but is mostly just a fun read.

Laughing Gas by Catalyst Of The Soul

• Synopsis : Danny's feeling a bit nervous about his upcoming trip to the dentist. Scared? He should be.
• Comments : Chilling and ironic, with quite a bit of suspense. As you read about the seemingly normal dentist visit, you get the eerie sense that something isn't quite right...

Catalyst by Dan Phantom Crush (AU)

• Synopsis : Who is Clockwork? A friend to Danny, or a master manipulator? Sam makes a drastic sacrifice to preserve Danny's world but ultimately only puts off the inevitable. And no one escapes unchanged; her family, Danny's family, even Vlad.
• Comments : Sam leaves Amity Park, convinced that it's for Danny's own good during Spring Break. The story does a good job with a number of plot elements, the best is how Vlad's character is handled. Though part of the story is a bit implausible Phantom not being a Magnificent Bastard ? Really? but the writer just utterly sells it.

Lost by Nylah

• Synopsis : Danny wakes up in an abandoned cabin with no memory of how he got there, or anything at all for that matter. He finds his emotions constantly in turmoil as he struggles to survive in the slums of Amity Park. When he's eventually claimed by a strange family called the Fentons, who tell him that he is the only survivor of a camping trip with Tucker Foley and Sam Manson gone awry, Danny struggles with guilt, alcohol addiction, and his own mental darkness.

Teh Soopr Gost Gurl by Lady-Valiant and Smexy Phantom

• Synopsis : Danny Phantom and friends are about to face their greatest challenge so far...a Mary Sue fanfic written by the insufferable Smexy Phantom !
• Comments : The Mary Sue fic is horrible and contrasts well with the author's good sense of humor and spot-on characterization. It's absolutely hilarious, and the author makes it a very interactive experience by letting fans send flames to ' Smexy Phantom '. Highly recommended. The author's updates are a bit slow, but it's well worth the wait.

Intangible Trust by DP-shrine-in-closet-girl

• Synopsis : AU "You may not be afraid of me, but I am." Danny has just moved to Amity Park a year after gaining his powers. He's had to deal with his secret alone all this time. Can he let Sam and Tucker into his life? What happens when they find out the truth?
• Comments : A very interesting look at the sort of person Danny would be if he didn't have Sam and Tucker to back him up throughout his early ghost adventures, and what would happen if he met them only after establishing himself as a hero. There are a few spelling and grammatical mistakes, but not enough to detract from the story. Also, it brings in the argument of "is ghost hunting ethical" now and then.

• Commments: It's all about Paulina, her selfishness, and some growth, too. Or Paulina in Sam's life for a week, at least. It's great at showing her growth, though, when she's forced to be nice to "losers" Danny and Tucker, to find out information about Danny Phantom, though she may not need to pretend forever....

• Comments : An ongoing fic that updates regularly and it takes everything to a Darker and Edgier feel. The action can only be described in one word: Epic. It takes the typical field trip fic and cranks everything up to keep you on the edge of the seat. Overall, it's a great read and keeps going!

The Little Ghost Boy by Extant

• Comments : A wonderful fanfiction that fuses The Little Mermaid and DP. Don't take it the wrong way. It takes TLM to a political and theological level. The philosophy is seemlessly woven into the story and gives it a coming-of-age feel to it. A Dark Fic which the author wants and the lines from the movie just fits. I highly recommend it.

• Comments : It's very well written albeit a bit long compared to most fanfics, but well worth a read if you're a Danny/Sam fan. Warning though, some chapters are NSFW.

Time Tampering by Kimurasato

• Pairings : Danny/Vlad, Maddie/Jack
• Synopsis : Danny accidentally gets thrown into the 80's and gets to know Vlad before the accident. Unfortunately, he's stuck there and ends up... well... Exactly What It Says on the Tin .
• Comments : Somewhat known and written some time before, it contains cross dressing due to a bet. It's well written and finished, which some good old fics tend not to be. There's some cameos from two ghosts I was not expecting and it actually dodges some of the pitfalls of time travel fic.

Impasse by BJA Fan

• Pairings : Raven/Danny
• Synopsis : Crossover with Teen Titans . Raven thinks that her curse of immortality completely isolates her from humanity, until she meets a boy who has exactly the same problem.
• Comments : The fairy-tale-esque, distanced but emotional language BJA Fan uses to word this is beautiful and packs a huge impact.

Lilacs by Blue Myst 19 (AU)

• Pairings : Danny/Sam, small Tucker/Jazz
• Synopsis : 'It seemed like the classic tale of love, intrigue, and murder most foul. Prince Daniel was a rebellious prince with a secret he hid from the world. Princess Samantha was to be the love of his life, but her own secret could tear them apart.'
• Comments : It's well written, the chapters can get pretty long, and its full of suspense and romance between Danny and Sam.

Adversus Adverto by Nimrod the Writer

• Pairing: Danny/Vlad (so, yes, it is slash. Very much so.)
• Synopsis: "Vlad is not an irrational man. He makes plans and he follows those plans. Unless, of course, Danny Fenton is involved."
• Comments: The story is brilliantly thought out and executed, with everyone delightfully in-character and, of course, going to increasing lengths to keep this whole thing a secret under the adults' very noses. It picks up in the middle of the series, during the Wake Up, Go to School, Save the World episodes - you know, they kind where it doesn't matter if you watch them in order. Updates are slow, but it's not Dead Fic , and be forewarned: this fic very much deserves the M rating it has on FF.net.

Symphony of Tears by Griff Valdez

• Synopsis: The ghosts haven't been acting up lately, so Danny is bored. Looking for trouble, he finds Ember in tears with her guitar in the trash.
• Comments: Unfortunately, only the first chapter is really worth reading.

I Loved You Too Much by The-Other-Ghostwriter

• Pairing: Clockwork/Danny (so slash warning)
• Synopsis: Set after Phantom Planet. Clockwork muses on Danny and his feelings for the ghost child, and suffers the consequences because of it.
• Comments: Just... wow. This author has taken an extremely implausible pairing and has made it work beautifully . Warning: it ends in Character Death

Just Five Minutes by Elle Aitch

• Pairing: Danny/Val, hints of Danny/Sam.
• Synopsis: In an attempt to make money, Tucker and Danny decide to charge twenty bucks for a date with Danny Phantom. The last thing they expected, however, was for Valerie to take them up on their offer, or for her start falling for him. Slight AU. (Still in-progress.)
• Comments: This is a character-driven fic that balances some comedy with fluff with a dose of angst, and is Better Than It Sounds . Whilst ultimately, the focus will be Danny/Val, the author has so far given five minutes in the spotlight (uh, literally) to Paulina, Dash and Kwan and actually treated them like human beings (shallow / slight jerky human beings, but nonetheless). It also addressed the Danny/Sam tension without playing Sam off as the jerk.
