How to farm Flowers fast - Ghost of Tsushima

Learn the quickest way to find and farm Flowers in Ghost of Tsushima.

Josh Hawkins

Flowers are one of many useful resources that players can acquire throughout their time in Ghost of Tsushima. Unlike other materials – which are used to upgrade your gear – Flowers are used as a currency for purchasing a variety of customization options like Sword Kits, Armor Dyes, and more. In this guide, we’ll discuss the best ways to farm Flowers, which you can then use to change up Jin’s look.

How to farm Flowers fast

Farming Flowers is actually a lot simpler than you might think, however it does take some time. Like many of the crafting materials you need together to upgrade your weapons and gear, Flowers can be found throughout the world in random places. We’re not sure if they respawn after you’ve picked them, as they always appear to spawn back in random spots when exploring the world.

Whether or not they respawn isn’t important, though. Much like many of the other items that play a vital part in Ghost of Tsushima, players can eventually use the Guiding Wind to find Flowers. You can select this option from the map in the pause menu, which will then cause the Guiding Wind to lead you to any nearby Flowers that you haven’t picked. This is a great way to take a break from the main story, explore the world that Sucker Punch has created, and collect yourself some bargaining chips.

how to farm flowers in Ghost of Tsushima

We’ve managed to farm quite a few Flowers using this method and you can pretty much do it at any time. There are other things you can use the Guiding Wind to find as well. If you’re not a fan of using the Guiding Wind, then some notable places to look for large amounts of Flowers include the areas around Shrines, as well as around the outskirts of the various towns and village areas that you explore throughout the story. These often have plenty of Flowers just waiting to be picked.

Now that you know how to farm for Flowers, be sure to head back over to our Ghost of Tsushima guide for even more helpful information and content.

Ghost of Tsushima protagonist Jin Sakai stares at a flower on a rock

While you can buy various items in Ghost of Tsushima , you won’t be doing any of that with gold that may be jingling around in your pocket. In fact, one of the main currencies for cosmetics is flowers — not cold, hard cash.

You won’t earn flowers for good deeds. Instead, you have to find flowers scattered across the verdant island.

Thankfully, just like the various bamboo trees, flowers conveniently flash and glow alerting you of their presence when they’re in your field of view. Of course, you still need to find them first to easily spot them.

So how do you find flowers in Ghost of Tsushima? In this guide, we’ll guide will show you the simple steps to lining your pockets with precious flowers, which you can use to pay for certain cosmetics across the island.

How to find flowers

One of the first pieces of armor you get early in the game is the Traveler’s Attire .

An info screen about the Traveler’s Attire in Ghost of Tsushima

This special piece of armor offers very little defense, but it gives players three unique benefits. The one benefit paramount to finding flowers is the clothing’s ability to track Artifacts with the Guiding Wind . This allows you to track items like records, Singing Crickets, and most importantly, Undiscovered Flowers .

With this armor equipped, you can now go to your map screen, press right on the d-pad, and choose Undiscovered Flowers as an item to track. Once tracked, the Guiding Wind will point you in the direction of the closest flower. However, if you look at your map screen once tracked, you’ll see that you only get a slight hint at the general direction of the nearest flower, instead of its precise location, as you do when you tracking most other things with the Guiding Wind.

Once you’ve begun tracking flowers, you must rely solely on the direction of the Guiding Wind to lead you to the closest bud. You can keep the wind blowing as much as you like by swiping up on the controller’s touch pad if you’re unsure where to go. Just be on the lookout for the glow of any flowers hidden among trees, in the grass, on rock formations, or along the road.

After finding the closest tracked flower, Guiding Wind will automatically lead you to the next one without any additional input.

Normal Flowers [ ]

Flowers are used as currency with the Merchant, who sells cosmetic items for armour (headgear and body armour) and weapons. [1] It does not matter what color flower you pick in the wild, nor how many of each flower you collect, they all have the same value and serve no other function.

Ghost Flowers [ ]

Ghost Flowers are a new type of currency, available only in New Game+ , accepted by Baku the Voiceless . He will trade new dyes, armors and charms for Ghost flowers. They are rewarded to the player for completing tasks in New Game+ that have already been completed.

Ghost of Tsushima: Dye Flowers Guide and How to Change the Color of your Armor Pieces

While the Mongolian hordes ravage the island and kill the inhabitants, Jin Sakai can collect flowers to unlock new items and skins for his weapons and armor. Here's a guide on where to find flowers and special black and white dyes.

Ghost of Tsushima: Dye Flowers Guide and How to Change the Color of your Armor Pieces

In Ghost of Tsushima many collectibles will allow you to customize the appearance of your armor and weapon. For that, you'll need a specific resource: the Dye Flowers. As with supplies, silk, iron and steel, don't hesitate to take small detours to collect them. Note that flowers are available in very limited quantities and don't grow back.

Ghost of Tsushima

Ghost of Tsushima: Where to find flowers

One advantage of flowers is that they are highly visible. You can find them everywhere in the game, but here are a few particularly worthy locations:

  • Shinto Shrines are by far the best places for harvesting, but it will often require you to take detours and have to climb extra obstacles. But since they are unique, it's best to pick them up directly.
  • The large flowered plains and fields often have flowers to pick. It is easy to differentiate them from the "decorative", since they are taller and wider. However, they tend to be the same colour.
  • Flower pots may occasionally be seen outside of houses.
  • The huge rice fields and marshes in Act 2 are perfect for harvesting many flowers. The area is flat and empty, so it's very easy to spot lotuses growing on the surface of the water.
  • There is almost only one type of flower in act 3, orange buds. Their small size is compensated by their vibrant color thath makes them relatively easy to spot in the snow, and by the fact that the vegetation is much less dense.
  • Unfortunately, the Charm of Inari doesn't work on flowers.

Ghost of Tsushima

Ghost of Tsushima: Where to use the flowers

Unsurprisingly, spending is easier than harvesting. All the basic merchants in the game allow you to buy cosmetic items in exchange for flowers. Note that they have a common inventory, but that their stock expands at the end of each act, so remember to go back and see them from time to time.

Merchants can be found in refugee camps, as well as in many towns and villages.

Ghost of Tsushima

There are also two special merchants for monochrome dyes. The white dyes merchant can be found in Act 1, at the foot of a watchtower in the mountains, near a training bamboo. The The black dyes merchant is in Act 2, in a cave. Here are maps with their exact location.

White dye merchant location - Ghost of Tsushima

Flowers are the only resources you will still lack after completing the story and finishing all quests. We can't stress that enough: you should conscientiously collect all the flowers you see.

Ghost of Tsushima: Where to Find Flowers

Players must search the map to find points of interest, guides, and resources in the HUD-less world of Ghost of Tsushima, including flowers.

In  Ghost of Tsushima , players have to scour the landscape for resources and places of interest without the help of a traditional HUD. There is plenty of wildlife that players should keep an eye out for, including foxes, golden birds , and even plants. One of the most important of these resources are flowers that Jin can find growing all over the map.

Uses for Flowers

Flowers are used to purchase items and cosmetics in  Ghost of Tsushima . If players are looking to change their armor with colors like the  black or white dyes from merchants , they'll need to first get their hands on several flowers. And the only place to find these flowers is out and about in the wild.

RELATED:  Ghost of Tsushima: How to Use Photo Mode

Flowers grow in just about every corner of the three regions and 40 biomes in  Ghost of Tsushima .  So players should be constantly on the lookout to collect the most of these precious flowers.

How to Find Flowers

Flowers are scattered and hidden all over the world of  Ghost of Tsushima , but thankfully there are some fool-proof ways to find them for players that are paying attention. While the flowers do glow and can be found with the naked eye, it's significantly easier to find them with the Traveler’s Attire.

The Traveler's Attire is a ratty-looking bit of armor that players can buy from any dye merchant very early in the game. It has some of the worst armor stats in the game, and isn't even good-looking, unlike the Gosaku armor set , so it might not look like a good buy for players early on. But its true value isn't in the stats; it's in the abilities the armor grants Jin.

The Traveler's Attire allows players to track the locations of records, Singing Crickets, and undiscovered Flowers across the map. Players can choose which of these three they want to track. Press right on the d-pad, select "undiscovered flowers," and get some hints where the closest flowers are. Then players can use Guiding Wind to point them in the right direction. Keep an eye out for the glow of unpicked flowers. Once the closest flower has been picked, Guiding Wind will guide the player to the next location without any prompting.

While looking for flowers, make sure to keep an eye out for Golden Birds, foxes and fox dens , and the other natural compasses that will lead Jin to other important points of interest.

Ghost of Tsushima is available for PlayStation 4.

Ghost of Tsushima: How to Get Flowers (Money) Fast

ghost of tsushima flowers farm

Despite the fact that Ghost of Tsushima offers players a plethora of options to customize Jin’s appearance, there isn’t actually all that much to purchase. In fact, there isn’t really even a proper currency in the game. Still, for those who want to change outfit color or purchase headwear, the merchant is the man for the task, and he’ll want a special floral currency for the trouble. Here’s how to get flowers fast in Ghost of Tsushima.

How to Get Flowers Fast in Ghost of Tsushima

ghost of tsushima flowers farm

Jin starts Ghost of Tsushima without a bean to his name –well, flower to his name, to be precise. Thankfully, colorful flora grows literally everywhere across Tsushima Island and there’s really no limit to how much you can find and when you can find it.

To get flowers quickly, it really is just a case of searching for them. There’s nowhere, in particular, you need to go. Just explore.

ghost of tsushima flowers farm

But there is one feature that is going to be speed up the process in a big way, and that’s the Guiding Wind. With the Traveller’s Attire equipped, the first new armor you’ll receive in the game, the Guiding Wind can be set to locate Undiscovered Flowers.

With that active, every gust of wind will direct you to the nearest flower. Simply upswipe to keep the wind gusting you towards a flower.

What Flowers are Used For

As we mentioned above, there isn’t actually all that much to purchase in Ghost of Tsushima. Most armor and weapon upgrades are acquired by offering various vendors different resources, rather than paying them.

Merchants, however, are very keen on flowers! You can see in the above image what they sell.

That should be everything you need to know about how to get flowers fast in Ghost of Tsushima . For more useful tips and information on the game, check out Twinfinite’s extensive guide wiki .

Predator hides, flowers and supplies are Ghost of Tsushima satchel items. They are required for nearly all upgrades and also for buying stuff from merchants. Flowers and predator hides are numerous, but if you don’t collect them regularly, gathering them when you do need them ends up being a chore. Supplies are the most used resource in the game. This guide will show you predator hides, flowers and supplies locations in Ghost of Tsushima .

Predator Hides Flowers Supplies Locations Ghost of Tsushima

  • Predator hide locations
  • Where to find flowers
  • How to get supplies

How to get Predator Hides

Predator hides are one of the most difficult resources to manage. You need a lot of them, and they’re not that common in the open world. To get predator hides, you need to find and hunt down predators – boars, bears and Mongol dogs. A Mongol dog drops one predator hide, boars drop two, and bears five each. You’ll need five, ten or twenty for ranged and quickfire upgrades at the trapper’s.

Ghost of Tsushima Predator Hides Location

To make predator hunting, we’ve prepared some guidelines. For starters, try to get the Charm of Inari from the Arrow Peak Shinto shrine – it will increase the number of hides you get. You can hear predators when they are close. Shortly afterwards, a bear’s paw icon will show up at the edge of your screen, pointing towards the animal. Most of the time you’ll encounter them as you travel by horse. So give yourself a bit of space and hunt them down, or you won’t be able to get all the upgrades that require their hides.

Boars and bears are usually found on the edges of forests and close to cliffs. Boars come in groups of three, while bears are solo. At the start of the game, farming predator hides from bears is a bit difficult, considering that a bear can defeat you with one hit. The boars are a different story. You can chase them down and collect their hides without dismounting. As you start hunting one the others will run away, but they don’t leave the initial location, just circling it instead.

The safest and most boring way to get predator hides is from the random fights between animals and mongol soldiers. These encounters happen outside of forests most of the time, in open fields. If you come close to them you’ll hear a specific sound coming from the soldiers, indicating they are in danger. If you let them solve their dispute, you’ll usually have to deal with only one of them with low health.

How to get Flowers

You can find flowers all around the map. They come in different colors, depending on the part of map you are in. If you want to buy all of the merchant items, you’ll need a lot of flowers, somewhere around 300. You’ll have to go around and pick them by hand, there is no other way around it. They don’t respawn, either, so don’t bother checking back after you’ve picked them.

There are areas with clusters of flowers. You’ll find a bunch of them in the swampy areas of Toyotama. Flowers are scattered around the small ponds here, and can be spotted from afar. Not having a lot of trees here helps spot them. Be sure to use the flowers guiding wind – once you open the map, press right on your D-pad, and choose the flowers option.

How to get Supplies

Supplies are the satchel item that is required in the largest quantities. The main source of supplies are defeated enemies. Although it takes around a second to loot a defeated enemy, most of them drop four to six supplies. They can also be found in the world. This is the most commonly found item in the game, usually placed on the ground. With the Charm of Inari equipped you can get around sixteen supplies per pick-up. You can get a lot of them from the gift altar at the Golden Temple, around 100 per pick-up. This altar fills up with presents when you complete quests.

The final way of obtaining supplies is from the trapper. This person will buy other satchel goods from you. We’ve earned around 1000 supplies just from selling excess bamboo.

When you talk to the Merchant, you will know that you can buy a few things from him in exchange for Flowers. These Flowers are located all over the island but you don’t have to worry too much because they will glow when you are near . When you spot some, you can go to them and collect them pretty quickly and easily.

But before that, you need to equip the Traveler’s Attire armor. This armor will give you the special power to track Flowers using the Guiding Wind . Apart from Flowers, you can also track Records and Singing Crickets.

To initiate the search for Flowers, simply open up your map > press right on the d-pad of your controller > select Undiscovered Flowers . By doing this, the Guiding Wind will track them for you but note that it won’t directly point you to it. You will only get an idea of the region where these flowers can be found. Your job is to actually find them. Keep using the Guiding Wind by swiping up on the touch pad to locate glowing Flowers hidden everywhere around you. Continue this process this until you collect more and more Flowers – the Guiding Wind will guide the way. It is all about exploration of your island.

This is essentially a nice tactic you can use to get your hands on the number of flowers you need to buy items from the Merchant. We hope you use this to your advantage and find lots of Flowers in Ghost of Tsushima. Be sure to check out more such helpful tips in our Ghost of Tsushima guides on GamerTweak.

Where do you get them from? Flowers in Ghost of Tsushima ? Is there a trick to do this? Farm flowers quickly can? In the new Ghost of Tsushima you need various materials to upgrade weapons and armor but also to be able to go shopping at a dealer. In addition to supplies, you also need flowers. In this article we have created a short guide on what to buy with flowers from dealers and how to get them.

Unlike rare materials such as gold, silk or privet wood, flowers can be found comparatively easily and frequently in the game world of Ghost of Tsushima. The flowers can actually be found everywhere in forests, in meadows or directly on the paths. If you want, you can farm the flowers relatively easily, especially in forests, and collect a lot of flowers within a short period of time. At the beginning you can farm some flowers in the Hidden Springs Forest, Kashine Forest and all other forests.

When farming flowers, you should use a trick and that is to put on the “Traveler’s Costume” armor and set the “Guiding Wind Target” to “Flowers” in the menu under the “Map” tab. To do this, simply press the Options button, open the “Map” tab and press the control pad to the right. For the “Guiding Wind” target, select the “Flowers”. You can use the guiding wind to navigate to the next flower by repeatedly swiping the touchpad forward to activate the guiding wind.

5 famous ghosts that you might meet on the streets of Moscow

The headless boyar, 12th  century.

ghost of tsushima flowers farm

The first scary legend concerns Prince Yuri Dolgoruky, Moscow’s founder. It’s said that in 1158 Prince Dolgoruky was traveling through the Moscow lands with a Greek sage and came upon a strange three-headed, piebald animal that looked at him and then ran into the forest. Prince Dolgoruky was frightened, but the sage said not to worry: this was a good sign, and that one day a majestic city would be built on this spot and that many nations would gather here.

Prince Dolgoruky emerged from the forest to find a hill on which stood a town belonging to the wealthy boyar, Stephan Kuchki. But the proud boyar did not meet the prince according to tradition, and therefore, Dolgoruky ordered the boyar to be seized and executed. His head fell to the ground, sprinkling blood everywhere. Meanwhile, Dolgoruky went on to rule over Moscow.

Ever since then, the area of modern-day Sretenka is home to the ghost of the proud boyar, who appears and frightens local residents. Therefore, superstitious Moscow residents say the city, “stands on blood.”

An Italian architect killed in the Kremlin, 15th  century

ghost of tsushima flowers farm

Soon after marrying Sophia Paleologue , niece of the last Byzantine emperor, Russia’s Tsar Ivan III decreed construction of a magnificent cathedral in the Kremlin. But no matter how hard the Russian architects tried, the walls of the Dormition Cathedral always crumbled. Metropolitan Philip, who had been against the Tsar marrying Sophia, believed it was God’s curse for the marriage.

Sophia advised her husband to invite a foreign architect, but finding a suitable candidate proved very difficult because no one wanted to go to distant and mysterious Russia. Finally, in 1475, Italian architect Aristotle Fioravanti agreed to come and build a great cathedral for the tsar.

Construction was successful, and according to legend Fioravanti built many secret hiding places and underground tunnels in the cathedral. To keep enemies from learning the secrets of the Dormition Cathedral, Ivan III refused to let Fioravanti return home.

The architect even participated in some of the Tsar’s military campaigns before attempting to escape to Italy. He was seized at the border and imprisoned in the Kremlin’s Tainitskaya Tower, which is when historical chronicles ceased mentioning him. Most likely he died – walled up in the Tainitskaya Tower. Legend has it that since then Russian leaders see Fioravanti’s ghost just before terrible events are to take place. It vexed Vladimir Lenin, and later Joseph Stalin before the beginning of the Great Patriotic War.

A condemned murderer on Gorky Highway, 18th  century

ghost of tsushima flowers farm

The Gorky Highway was once called the Vladimir Road, along which people convicted to Siberian penal colonies were led out of Moscow. One day, a dangerous murderer was marching in a penal convoy. He didn't survive the trip, however, and since there wasn't time to bury him, they left his body at the side of the road. This is why his soul can't find peace and still terrorizes the living.

Drivers say that late at night a strange man sometimes appears on the roadside: bearded, poorly dressed and resembling a homeless man. He waves to cars as if he wants them to stop, but his gait is strange, as if his feet are shackled.

If you see him be careful: he’s the ghost of the tormented murderer. If you stop, the ghost comes over to the window and says, “Forgive me.” Then you should say, “God will forgive you,” and quickly drive away without looking back. Otherwise, the convict’s restless soul will take you with it to the afterlife.

The miserly old man from Myasnitskaya Street, 19th century

ghost of tsushima flowers farm

This legend dates to the second half of the 19th century, in the home of the Kusovnikov family. Between 1843 and 1870 a childless couple lived on 17 Myasnitskaya Street. These merchants were known for their eccentric behavior and solitary lifestyle. The house is decorated with Masonic symbols, and legend says the husband and wife found a masonic cache in one of the rooms and decided not to have kids and not to employ unnecessary servants.

The couple was so afraid of losing their money that they almost never left home. Once, they had to leave for a short time and hid all their riches in the fireplace. Only one caretaker remained to look after the house.

When the couple returned, however, they saw that everything had been burned in the fireplace: the caretaker had been very cold and so decided to warm himself with a fire. Old woman Kusovnikova died on the spot, while her husband went mad and died shortly after.

Today, Muscovites say that late in the evening you can sometimes see a gray-haired old man in a shabby coat approaching passersby and asking them, “Where is my money?” This encounter does not promise anything good because anyone approached by the miserly old man soon loses large amounts of money and goes bankrupt.

A vindictive female spirit in the Moscow metro, 20th   century

ghost of tsushima flowers farm

There are many scary stories about the Moscow metro. For example, it’s dangerous to ride in the ordinary train cars of the orange line after midnight on one particular day of the year. It first happened on Sept. 9, 1999, when five young ladies riding at night in car 26498 late suddenly lost consciousness.

One of the passengers was able to film the face of a young woman outside the train with his mobile phone. What had happened? A year earlier on Sept. 9, 1998, at the VDNKh station, a young lady had lost consciousness and fell under an approaching train.

Ever since then, she appears on the day of her death and causes passengers to lose consciousness.
