Opening Island Castle Doors With the Chain?

- I'm on the Island in the river. I get to what appear to be doors leading inside the castle but they close as I approach. Ray says that it looks like the doors are operated by "that chain". When you look up, there is a chain going into the wall above the door which is strung across several towers and down to a wooden device that looks like you're supposed to turn it, pulling the chain and opening the door. I can't find a way to interact with the wooden thing. I've tried slime tethering it, but there doesn't seem to be a place to stand and get a good shot at it. There's a spot on the walkway where the side wall is lower, but I can't jump up onto it. Any thoughts? TandyBomb - 14 years ago - report
- Your English is much better then my... Whatever it is you speak as your first language... :D Stairs down to the hedge maze... I somehow missed the stairs down to the hedge maze. I turned the game back on and saw Egon go down them while we were standing by the door and I felt so very silly. Once informed about the advanced technology of STAIRS I was able to burn down the maze and make the crank turn with the slime tether. It works better if you attach the other end to the ground rather then a wall for some reason, and it took more then one tether. TandyBomb - 14 years ago - report

- After you go down the stairs to the maze ( where you will get hedgebuster achievment) You need to shoot the crank that is connected with the chain with a proton stream.. it will rotating every time you shoot at it.. just shoot it until the door open.. slime tether won't help you at all..
