Captain – Jesse Clinton, USA Captain Jesse hails from Savannah, GA where he spent his formative years living aboard his family’s traditionally rigged Class A Barquentine sailboat. It was this hands-on experience that made Jesse fall in love with the sea and both the challenges and rewards it renders . Growing up in and around shipyards, Jesse was well accustomed to super yachts from a very young age. He recalls admiring a newly launched Feadship on the riverfront at the age of 12. It was at that moment he knew he would one day be in command of a vessel of similar stature . His career has included a tenure in the tall-ship circuit, teaching traditional sailing, Marlinspike Seamanship, and crewing on many high-end private and chartered vessels. Jesse has competed in both near coastal and off-shore regattas in multiple classes. He is an avid waterman and enjoys spearfishing, free diving, and surfing in his spare time . Through his combination of delivering superior-level service, his knowledge of local ports of call and his dedication to safety, he consistently ensures that all guests have a memorable vacation while onboard. Jesse has spent the last decade cruising the Caribbean, Central America, the Bahamas, and the entire eastern seaboard. He took over command of Avalon in the Fall of 2019. First Officer- Richard Bamforth, TBC BIO coming soon! Chef - Mark Cervo, USA Mark joins Avalon from an extensive career in the culinary world. Originally from San Jose, California, Mark spent over 15 years working in the Caribbean, specifically the Virgin Islands. It was here, after working as the Executive Chef in the Ritz Carlton, that he opened 3 restaurants and a catering business. Looking for a new challenge, Mark sold all of his ventures and discovered the world of Super Yachting. Classically French trained at the Four Season's Hotel, Mark has since had over three decades of experience and is well versed in all cuisines. He brings a wealth of culinary knowledge to Avalon and is excited to share his creativity with our guests. In his personal time Mark enjoys golf, tennis and walking his dog Anis. Chief Stewardess – Sarah Burton, USA Sarah grew up on the water in Michigan on Lake St. Claire. Having gone through her yacht clubs junior sailing program she developed a love and passion for the water. The need for warm weather and sailing year round, she found herself on the west coast where she finished university and eventually ended up in Newport Beach, CA surrounded by sailors and yachites alike. She continued to sail while working in the medical field but always knew that working on boats was her ultimate career goal. Having made they leap of faith of changing her career she started working full time on boats in 2017. Her passion to serve others, eye for detail and laid back attitude makes her a perfect addition to Avalon. During her free time she loves sailing, reading, exploring new places, and relaxing on the beach. 2nd Stewardess- Kellie Kastner, USA Kellie was born and raised in Minnesota —the Land of Ten Thousand Lakes. Spending every second of summer outdoors, her love for sunshine and the water developed early. Throughout school she was a dedicated athlete and studied biomedical science at Minnesota State University and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. A unique study abroad program called Semester at Sea sparked her love for travel and the ocean after allowing her to live and study on board a small cruise ship. Shortly after graduation she moved to the west coast of Florida and followed her interest in health & wellness to become a 200hr Registered Yoga Instructor. She has a passion for people, travel, yoga and adventure and found yachting a perfect way to share them all! When she’s not at sea, her favorite hobbies include exploring the great outdoors, rock climbing, water-sports, and hanging out in a hammock with a good book in hand. 3rd Stewardess – Saragh Virtue, USA Saragh grew up in Lake of the Woods on both the Canadian and American sides. After going to university in Utah, Saragh decided to move to Minneapolis and work as a bartender while going on extensive backpacking trips across the world. She knew yachting was the right path to pursue with her love for warm weather, being on the water, and traveling. During her free time she loves to go on hikes, hammock with a good book, or jump on a paddle board. Bosun – Drew Smith, USA Drew’s passion for the water started at an early age. Growing up in Nashville Drew developed a keen ear for music, and eventually went to college for music production in Florida. While in Florida Drew found the ocean again and started his career in the yachting industry and was able to travel the world. For the last 2 years Drew has lived in Hawaii surfing the big waves of the North Shore while finding time to still get out on boats. When drew is not trying to catch the next big wave you can find him flying his drone for pro surfers, free diving and hiking the wildness of whatever island he is on. Deckhand – Zoe Degas, New Zealand Zoe is a sunny adventurous soul from the cold south of New Zealand. Growing up surrounded by the great outdoors Zoe's passion for diving, sailing, skiing and mountain biking was sparked. Beginning her yachting career at an early age, Zoe has traveled across Europe, the Pacific and America. She enjoys exploring off the beaten track and is always excited to go diving and discover local underwater gems. Zoe speaks fluent French and English. She continued to sail while working in the medical field but always knew that working on boats was her ultimate career goal. Having made they leap of faith of changing her career she started working full time on boats in 2017. Her passion to serve others, eye for detail and laid back attitude makes her a perfect addition to Avalon. Throughout school she was a dedicated athlete and studied biomedical science at Minnesota State University and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. <br /> A unique study abroad program called Semester at Sea sparked her love for travel and the ocean after allowing her to live and study on board a small cruise ship. Shortly after graduation she moved to the west coast of Florida and followed her interest in health & wellness to become a 200hr Registered Yoga Instructor. <br /> She has a passion for people, travel, yoga and adventure and found yachting a perfect way to share them all! When she’s not at sea, her favorite hobbies include exploring the great outdoors, rock climbing, water-sports, and hanging out in a hammock with a good book in hand. <br /> <br /> <br /> 3rd Stewardess – Saragh Virtue, USA<br /> Saragh grew up in Lake of the Woods on both the Canadian and American sides. Growing up in Nashville Drew developed a keen ear for music, and eventually went to college for music production in Florida. While in Florida Drew found the ocean again and started his career in the yachting industry and was able to travel the world. For the last 2 years Drew has lived in Hawaii surfing the big waves of the North Shore while finding time to still get out on boats.<br /> When drew is not trying to catch the next big wave you can find him flying his drone for pro surfers, free diving and hiking the wildness of whatever island he is on.<br /> <br /> Deckhand – Zoe Degas, New Zealand<br /> Zoe is a sunny adventurous soul from the cold south of New Zealand. Growing up surrounded by the great outdoors Zoe's passion for diving, sailing, skiing and mountain biking was sparked. The Luxury Adventure Yacht

      A sleek and graceful presence on the water, the 151-foot full-displacement motor yacht Avalon is stylish and sophisticated while utilizing the best in composite technology. Styled by the in-house Delta Design Group—also responsible for the entire engineering package, her striking exterior is dominated by a long, raised sheer-line with a gentle slope. Her curves and sculpted lines are accentuated by a rich, warm shade of white, raised-teak cap rail and red boot stripe.

       Avalons' owners wanted to create an interior that is elegant yet comfortable—spaces suitable for a family at home on the seas. Working in collaboration with their designer Jean-Claude Canestrelli and the Delta Design Group, they chose dark figured Khaya veneers, Cinamora burls and crotch mahogany as the featured woods. The main salon is surrounded by breathtaking views through large windows and curved glass entry doors flanked by a mirrored set of handsome bar cabinets. The full-beam master, located forward on the main deck, features large hull-side windows perfect for taking in the morning sunshine or enjoying a moonlit starry sky. Below deck are four ample guest cabins.

      One of the feature elements of Avalon is her stonework. In the guest heads a wide spectrum of onyx was used, including green, white, and a rare pink. The yacht’s stone-floored foyer and central staircase, with a unique brushed stainless balustrade and sweeping Khaya handrail, act as a focal point of fine craftsmanship and dramatic curves.

In addition to the lounge area on the main deck aft, the upper deck is also configured with a generous outdoor dining area for ten. Just inside is the open concept sky lounge appointed with a bar, a game table, and great views of the outdoors.

      All outdoor areas feature handsome teak decks, including the sun deck. This spacious area is equipped for outdoor enjoyment, with a central bar, a hot tub, day beds for sun-soaking, and a convenient day head, as well as stowaway workout equipment for exercise al fresco. Avalon is powered by a pair of Caterpillar 3508 - B engines and has zero-speed stabilizers with an integrated central hydraulic system. Her full-displacement hull design allows for large tank storage. Carrying just over 20,000 US gallons of fuel, she has a range of over 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. Beautiful as she is powerful, Avalon is a grand hostess for exotic adventures .

Delta Marine Motor Yacht Avalon For Sale

Sold in July 2017, the 46 metre motor yacht Katya is back on the market. It has been renamed Avalon and listed for sale by Thom Conboy and Chris Collins at Ocean Independence.

Built in GRP by US yard Delta Marine to Lloyds class and MCA compliant, Avalon was launched in 2009 and went on to become a finalist at the 2010 World Superyacht Awards.

Her interior resonates with richness and warmth. The woods chosen - dark khaya veneers and cinamora burls accented by maple, amboyna burls and mahogany - provide an elegant contrast to her light furnishings in marble, leather and rich fabrics.

Avalon can comfortably accommodate 12 guests in five cabins. The full-beam master suite is located forward on the main deck and there are a further four double cabins below. All cabins on this yacht for sale have flatscreen television sets and full en suite bathroom facilities.

The main saloon offers panoramic views through large windows and curved glass entry doors flanked with a mirrored set of bar cabinets. Further forward is the formal dining area with a custom mahogany dining table and matching buffet units port and starboard.

Outdoor entertaining and dining is well catered for on the spacious sun deck, equipped with a spa pool, plenty of sunbathing areas, a day head and stow away gym equipment. Avalon also has a full wet bar with a grill, great for al fresco cocktails and meals while enjoying the marvellous views.

Twin Caterpillar 3508-B engines deliver a transoceanic range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Avalon is a custom motor yacht launched in 2009 by Delta Marine in Seattle, United States and most recently refitted in 2014.

Located in Seattle, Washington, Delta Marine is a custom builder of yachts up to 100 meters in length. Delta specializes in composite construction, and works in both steel and aluminum as well. With an in-house design group, Delta is able to offer its customers complete naval architecture and design services. Current deliveries include a 55 meter motor yacht with aluminum hull and composite superstructure, and the 46 meter full displacement motor yacht, Katya.

Sail catamaran AVALON represents one of the latest achievements in charter catamaran design from Lagoon. The Lagoon 620 catamaran AVALON features 5 spacious queen-berth guest suites, all with ensuite bathrooms. She’s a great looking cat, especially from the inside.

The open and airy saloon of Lagoon 620 catamaran AVALON offers a nearly 360-degree view. The roomy saloon and the wide flybridge all come together to create floating elegance, style, and utility. Combine these excellent Van Peteghem-Lauriot Prévost nautical design factors with an outstanding and experienced crew and you find this sailing yacht delivers a little bit of heaven to crewed catamaran charters.

The most amazing feature is the massive amount of space on the boat both inside and out. Outside, the flybridge is huge and offers an unobstructed view of the sea. You can relax on the flybridge, on the trampoline, in between the transoms, in the cockpit, or on the huge sofa in the salon – there are lots of places for privacy.

The interior design is by the famous multi-awarded designer studio Couedel-Hugon yacht design.  Her interior is clean and uncluttered.  To illustrate, lots of light comes inside. This is through the large French sliding window and the huge portholes. A powerful Bose music system pumps sounds throughout the yacht.

With every view overlooking the water, our exquisite location along the bay makes the Avalon Yacht Club an ideal location to host your wedding. Philadelphia Magazine rated the Avalon Yacht Club best of the shore for wedding sunsets. Weddings are hosted during the spring and fall seasons, but unfortunately not during the summer months of July and August, when the club is in season. At the Avalon Yacht Club a well seasoned staff caters to your every need, whether you have a large, extravagant wedding or a small, intimate reception. When you have your wedding at the Avalon Yacht Club a year membership is included in the wedding package so you will be able to enjoy the atmosphere for more than just your special day. Wedding ceremonies can take place in front of a magnificent view on the north deck, weather permitting. Otherwise, the ceremony can be held on an indoor balcony.

Jarrod Sykes, the onsite event manager, will gladly coordinate all planning and details for your wedding. Jarrod has been a part of the Avalon Yacht Club team for the past 19 years. He will assist you in getting the perfect floral arrangements, entertainment, wedding cake and every intricate detail to make your wedding day everything you ever dreamed. Jarrod will also help plan your reception around the exact time of sunset, to ensure beautiful wedding pictures with the best background nature can provide. Peter Mark, the executive chef of the Avalon Yacht Club for over 25 years, will provide the cuisine for your special day. From a one entrée dinner, to a choice of three, Chef Peter will work with you one on one to figure out which foods will best cater to you and your guests.
