The Hamilton Island Yacht Club event spaces include a state of the art conference centre that overlooks the turquoise blue waters of Dent Passage. There is also an inspiring central atrium space, which can be used for a range of corporate events. The Auditorium features ascending theatre style seating, perfect for presentations for up to 66 guests and the Flag Deck can be used for cocktail parties, receptions or product launches for up to 400.

As a gateway to the Great Barrier Reef's unique beauty, the club and luxury villas adjoining the marina will offer owners an enclave of world-class facilities and services on the most beautiful island of the Great Barrier Reef.

The unique Walter Barda design and setting of the Hamilton Island Yacht Club will inevitably lead to it being recognised as one of the world’s most outstanding yachting establishments. The amazing roof, which has a shape inspired by the soaring silhouette of full sail, is said to have a visual impact along similar lines to the iconic Sydney Opera House.

The imposing structure, which presents a dramatic nautical influence from every angle, is the centrepiece of an exclusive precinct comprising 35 elegant stand-alone villas, enchanting tropical gardens, and an impressive waterfront lagoon swimming pool. Sailing & Yachting Events

Hamilton Island has a long and rich sailing history and is the home of internationally renowned AUDI Hamilton Island Race Week – Australia’s largest offshore sailing regatta held at the end of August each year.

Many cruising yachtsmen and super yacht owners base themselves at Hamilton Island Marina while they explore the 74 islands of Whitsundays. The marina itself caters for every type and size of vessel. There are 205 berths, all well protected in the case of bad weather and all have access to first-class marina facilities.

Conference Facilities

The Ketch & Cutter rooms feature high ceilings, natural light and a stunning backdrop across Dent Passage to Hamilton Island Golf Club. These rooms are ideal for premium conferences, product launches, tradeshows and gala dinners.

The Yacht Club Auditorium features fixed, ascending theatre style seating, perfect for meetings and presentations of up to 70 guests.

Welcome to the absolutely breathtaking Yacht Club Villa 13. 

All the Yacht Club Villas are stunning , but this one is extra special. One of only two front row Yacht Club Villas that have the additional rumpus room under the main lounge. This means that this absolutely stunning villa can sleep up to 10 people; and the second large lounge complete with billiard table is the perfect spot to keep the kids entertained while the parents can use the main lounge upstairs. 

Completely refurbished in June 2019 - all furniture was replaced and the whole villa repainted, new carpet and soft furnishings; you won’t find a villa in a better condition.   

This front row villa has absolutely breath-taking views to dent passage and a private grass area that provides maximum privacy.  

This gated community right on Hamilton Island Marina is renowned now as the prestige complex for accommodation on Hamilton Island- the location is second to none- within walkable distance to the marina and only a few minutes drive in your complimentary golf buggy to Hamilton Island’s main beach, Catseye Beach. The complex pool is one of the best in the country with manicured gardens and breath taking views.  

This Villa is truly as good as it gets on Hamilton Island. Be one of our first guests to enjoy it and you’ll be telling your friends about it.

The Hamilton Island Yacht Club project posed a formidable challenge with its location amidst the Whitsunday Islands, facing 5-meter tidal fluctuations twice daily. Additionally, the building’s soaring copper roofs and curved facing presented unique scaffolding challenges.

Our Solution

Source Scaffolding tackled the challenge by engineering a bespoke scaffolding solution tailored to the demanding conditions of the project. With specialised materials and innovative design, our team created a scaffolding system capable of withstanding tidal submersion while providing a stable platform for construction activities.

Despite the daunting environmental and architectural obstacles, our scaffolding solution proved its resilience. It facilitated uninterrupted construction progress, ensuring the timely completion of the Hamilton Island Yacht Club.
