The moderate flex of the board keeps you from getting tired too quickly, which makes it the perfect board for beach cruising and general commuting. It’s also equipped with premium components like grizzly bear trucks, hawgs, mini monster wheels, and bear spaceball bearings.

This board is an ultra-low riding longboard that provides ultimate stability which makes it ideal for downhill carving. It has a maple laminate deck with reverse kingpin longboard trucks and 245-millimeter (mm) axles. The ease of pushing decreases the wear and tear and makes commuting a breeze.

The cost ranges from $90 to $100 on  Amazon , and it comes with a limited one-year manufacturer’s warranty. Amazon customers rated it 4.5 out of 5 stars. However, there were some dissatisfied customers. One  user stated that the bushings began to fall apart after using the board only a few times.

Yocaher Professional Speed Drop Down Stained Complete Longboard

3.8 out o f 5 stars

The Yocaher brand is pretty affordable, and it’s ideal for professional longboard riders. It has 9-ply maple and a 33-inch wheelbase. The drop-down deck provides passengers with a lower center of gravity, which increases the maneuverability. Since it has no flex, the drop down can perform at high speeds, and it’s great for downhill riding. The trucks on this board are top-mounted and have cutouts around the nose and tail to reduce the risk of wheel bite.

You can purchase this longboard for approximately $65 to $80 on  Amazon , and the customers on the site have given it 3.8 out of 5 stars. Unfortunately, one  reviewer said his board broke after just three months of use.

Minority Donwhill Maple Longboard 40-inch

4.2 out o f 5 stars

This longboard is another model that’s good for someone who wants a nice board without paying a hefty price. The deck has 100 percent maple wood, and it’s designed with a classic downhill drop. Plus, its low gravity construction works wells for any speed. The cold pressed 8-ply maple with 37-inch wheelbase helps to give riders stability on a downhill platform. The seven-inch reversible kingpin trucks are adjustable so that you can get maximum maneuverability.

The price range for this board is $50 to $60, and  Amazon  customers rated it 4.2 out of 5 stars. However, one  reviewer noted that it bent in the middle and scraped the pavement.

Playshion 39-inch Drop Freestyle Longboard

4.7 out o f 5 stars

Playshion is an excellent start longboard for kids and adults. Its eight-ply hardwood maple deck comes equipped with a flat and symmetrical design that provides versatility. The wheels are polyurethane which makes them both soft and durable for easy commuting. This is the ideal board for freeride cruising, sliding, and curving but it’s not a good board to use for tricks.

The price ranges between $60 and $85 on  Amazon , and the customers on the site rated it 4.7 out of 5 stars. However, one  user stated the grip tape on the board began to bubble less than a week of having it.

Here’s What We Think

Each board highlighted in this article is awesome in its own way, so choosing the best one was difficult. Plus, all of these brands have great ratings, which made our decision much harder. With that said, we couldn’t pick one specific model, but we do think that the Landyachtz longboards have the best quality. After researching the company and looking over all of their boards, we couldn’t ignore how high-quality their products are. And it also helps that people who absolutely love boarding comprise the company itself.

On the other hand, we do feel that their boards might be too pricey for some people. If that’s the case, other brands make great boards with a more affordable price tag. We believe that a less expensive product doesn’t necessarily mean it is low quality. Our decision was tough, but we know everyone has specific things they look for in their longboards.
