Our base in the marina "De Spaanjerd" in Kinrooi is just a stone's throw away from the Linssen yard in Maasbracht. All Linssen Yachts models in our fleet are available for hire. That way you can "experience" the boat of your dreams with us and go on an extensive river trial. This is why we are unique ! Our team will be happy to advise you on all aspects of owning, maintaining and cruising a motor yacht. Welcome on board!

Linssen Yachts builds steel motor yachts from 9-16 meters (30 - 50 feet) in its 45.000 square metre shipyard in Maasbracht, Holland. From the first sketch, development, prototyping and complete production. Everything is done in-house.

In a unique series production , Linssen Yachts builds four yacht series: the versatile Grand Sturdy series, the sporting SL series, the unique Variotop® series and finally the Variodeck series. The Linssen Grand Sturdy series and the Linssen SL series are in various lengths available and you can choose between AC (with aft cabin) or Sedan (with Open Cockpit). The Variotop® series is a very unique high end series. It is the only yacht that has the Linssen Variotop®. Hinckley launched its first Picnic Boat in 1994, introducing seafarers to an elegant yet sturdy dayboat capable of cruising Maine’s often-rocky coast in style. Over the past 30 years, the yard has launched more than 1,000 examples and continues to refine every square inch of the iconic design.

“At Hinckley, we have a meticulous approach to design, obsessing over the details, combining the best DNA of past models with the needs and desires of Hinckley customers today,” added Bryant. “The overall design language of the Picnic Boat 39 demonstrates our continued commitment to building beautiful, timeless, and highly innovative yachts .”

The new Picnic Boat 39 features three separate but adjoined entertaining areas: the aft deck, the cockpit, and the new foredeck. The open aft showcases two plush sofas, while the covered cockpit features more comfy seating, a galley, and the helm. A smart sliding window mechanism provides access to the spacious foredeck, ensuring a smooth transition between free of any cumbersome folding doors or sharp edges. The forward area is outfitted with a large, U-shaped sofa. Below deck, seafarers will find a head and a cabin for overnight stays.

Hinckley didn’t provide any performance figures for the Picnic Boat 39, but the two other models in the lineup dart around at nearly 40 knots. The Picnic Boat 40 has a cruising speed of 35 knots and a top speed of 38 knots, while the Picnic Boat 37 has a cruising speed of 35 knots and a top speed of 37 knots. You can expect the 39 to be equally as fast.

The Picnic Boat 39 is now available for pre-order , with the price available upon request.

Boats capsized, people rescued at Lake Pleasant during monsoon

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Sunday’s heavy rain and wind caused big waves and trouble for boaters at Lake Pleasant.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, 12 boats were beached or sunk around the lake. During the storm, 30 people needed to be rescued from either boats or the water.

No injuries were reported, and no other details about the damage have been released.

Sunday’s monsoon affected thousands of others as rain and wind moved across the Valley.

Arizona’s Family will continue to cover the monsoon this week . During this workweek, we will likely have at least one or two storm days in the desert.

Spiny lobster mini-season begins with capsized boats, diver being struck by boat.

KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. – Florida’s spiny lobster sport mini-season began at midnight Wednesday, and there’s already been multiple emergencies on the water in South Florida, from capsized boats to one diver being struck by a vessel.

Local 10 News reporter Trent Kelly was at Crandon Park Marina in Key Biscayne early Wednesday morning as boat after boat was lined up, waiting to get out on the water before sunrise.

As the hours passed, things calmed down considerably, but that is not expected to last for long, with this year’s mini lobster season continuing through Thursday.

Emergencies on the water began early, with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials confirming that a diver was located after his boat capsized near Fisher Island.

Thankfully, that diver was picked up by another boat.

Sky 10 was above the scene as his boat was overturned in the water.

Sky 10 also captured a second boat Wednesday morning that not only overturned, but also appeared to be sinking pretty quickly.

“This wave came from behind and then it started sinking,” said Mike Sessa, who lives nearby. “We tried to get something buckets to get the water out.”

That incident occurred not far from Crandon Park Marina.

Late into the night, multiple people including children were brought to Crandon Park Marina after being pulled from the water by Miami Fire Rescue and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission after officials said their vessel flipped over.

FWC officials confirmed that 14 people were onboard the 26′ Chaparral. No injuries were reported.

And in Monroe County, authorities confirmed that a snorkeler was struck by a boat -- a 19′ Stratos -- before being taken to the Key Haven boat ramp in the Lower Keys.

The victim was airlifted to Jackson South Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

He has since been identified as 20-year-old Sean Steven Bender.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Capt. Dave Dipre said it’s unclear who was at fault, but investigators have been speaking with the boat operator.

According to the FWC, the boat was passing under the Boca Chica Bridge when it struck the snorkeler.

Officers in the Keys noted that they observed many dive flag violations Wednesday.

The incidents are another reminder that with so many people out on the water these next couple of days, it’s very important to stay safe and be aware of your surroundings.

“A higher amount of boaters on the water requires more people to be more aware,” said Florida Fish and WildlifeConservation Commission officer George Reynaud.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, a person diving for lobster approximately one mile offshore of Tavernier on the oceanside found a package of suspected cocaine just after 2 p.m. Wednesday.

As for lobster mini-season, however, it was a pretty successful morning for some.

After leaving before sunrise, Kelly caught several boaters coming back in to Crandon Park Marina and showing off what they caught.

“We got the limit – 12 per person,” Alejandro Pire said. “We’re happy.”

“That hunt – you know, catching it, measuring it, putting it in the bag, looking at it. You know, if it has eggs, you gotta let ‘em go. Too short – let ‘em go. But yes, it’s fun,” Javier Negrin said.

The mini season is a two-day event that opens up for recreational lobster harvesting, before the much longer regular season gets underway next month, from Aug. 6 to March 31, 2025.

An undisclosed buyer has finally stepped up to the helm of the Alfa Nero superyacht, ending a two-year-long saga, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday.

That buyer agreed last week to pay $40 million, a huge discount to the $67.6 million that former Google CEO Eric Schmidt bid last year, a deal he eventually abandoned.

The Antigua and Barbuda government sold the superyacht, which houses an infinity pool that converts to a helipad or dancefloor.

The massively discounted price can be attributed to authorities' need "to get the boat sold," Richard Higgins, a broker who represented the buyer, told Bloomberg.

Higgins said the European buyer, whose identify was kept secret, intends to put the superyacht on the charter market.

The person "is not included in the sanctions list of any country or institution," Ronald Sanders, Antigua and Barbuda's ambassador to the US, told Bloomberg.

The 267-foot-vessel was seized by Antigua and Barbuda authorities after it was linked to Russian oligarch Andrey Guryev, who was accused by the US Treasury Department of having close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Guryev is the founder of Phosagro, Europe's largest producer of phosphate fertilizers, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index .

The Alfa Nero was among dozens of superyachts seized following global sanctions against Putin's closest associates, which led to billions of dollars in frozen assets.

The Alfa Nero's maiden owner was Guryev, who purchased the vessel for $120 million, according to the US Treasury and the Antigua and Barbuda government . The Russian billionaire had adamantly denied ownership.

After the vessel was seized in 2022, it remained docked in Antigua's Falmouth Harbour, which cost residents of the Caribbean nation $28,000 in weekly tax dollars for maintenance, which took as many as 44 crew members . The superyacht was then valued at $81 million.

In 2023, the Antigua and Barbuda government put the Alfa Nero up for auction, citing hazards due to a lack of maintenance.Eric Schmidt initially won the bidding, for $67.6 million , but eventually backed out after Guryev's daughter claimed ownership of the superyacht.

The most recent acquisition of the Alfa Nero finally ends its ownership limbo, during which it racked up millions of dollars in port fees under the custody of the Antigua and Barbuda authorities, Darwin Telemaque, the Alfa Nero's port manager, told Bloomberg.

Last year, the Wall Street Journal reported that Antigua and Barbuda taxpayers were footing a $28,000-a-week bill to maintain the Alfa Nero, including the salary of an Italian captain and $2,000-a-day in diesel to keep its air conditioning running. That's because if the AC is turned off, it could let mold spread throughout the vessel and ruin the hardwood interior or a Joan Miró painting onboard, per the WSJ.
