VETERAN TEAM OF WILLEM AND YVONNE ARE JOINED BY 4 ADDITIONAL CREW TO PROVIDE GREAT SAFETY AND SERVICE ABOARD! Captain WILLEM STRAUSS grew up in a very small town in the semi-desert of the Western Cape of South Africa. At a young age the family moved to Namibia and at age 7 Willem started diving for lobsters off the Natal Coast every holiday. Thus began his love of the water. As a young man he participated in rugby, tennis, cricket and the national karate team! In 1996 he bought his first ocean going sailing cata-maran, and for the next 6 years he owned and operated a charter business in Madagascar and Mozambique. To this day Madagascar’s remote and uncommercialized waters are one of his favorite yachting destinations. With a degree in engineering, it was only a matter of time before Willem combined his technical skills with his water-based skills, becoming doubly qualified as both yacht captain and engineer in 2013. As a true professional, Willem is comfortable with either an interactive or a more discreet silver service style charter. He particularly likes sharing sea skills and stories with his guests. His friends and crew describe him as strict, but also friendly and helpful. A caring person, one of his favorite boating related jobs was, when working as a dive instructor, he would train children that were afraid of the water to scuba dive. He runs an excellent ship, his motto is “Finish what you can today, tomorrow has its own challenges”. When not aboard Lone Star, Captain Strauss can be found enjoying golf, sailing and even building boats! Chef YVONNE SWART grew up on the Free State on a South African farm with her 2 brothers and 2 sisters. She played tennis and loved art and poetry. After graduating high school courses, she studied at Kulunya Culinary as well as Somatology Beautiko in her native South Africa. She used her skills well, working on a Game Farm and owning a Day Spa, where she did the personalized catering for guests. Yvonne has now been working on yachts as a chef for 7 years with her partner Captain Willem. Besides her great cuisine, everyone remarks on her beautiful smile, which she shares often! She is a friendly, giving person who is comfortable to provide the guests with either an interactive charter or a discreet silver service as required. She has a passion for cooking and seeing that her guests enjoy their time aboard. Guests rave about the food. Some favorites are her Grilled Lobster with Mango Salsa and her Grilled Fish with Leeks and White Wine Sauce. Like dessert? Try her Flourless Chocolate and Pear Cake with a side of Vanilla Ice Cream, or the Homemade Tiramisu. Mediterranean style and seafood are specialties, but a personal favorite that Yvonne loves doing is a lively Beach Barbeque! Chef Yvonne’s goal is to “Better herself every day”. A fitness buff, she loves the gym and workout time, and is an avid researcher of health and diet. Mate MAGNUS VAN DER BERG Marthinus grew up in a small farming town in the Eastern Freestate of South Africa. Growing up, the closest beach was about 300 miles away, so it was always a treat to go to the beach. His family usually went to the local dam to go swimming and fishing. Marthinus was very active in sports in Primary and High school. He played golf, cricket, squash, rugby, tennis and did gymnastics and track and field. He played for provincial teams in squash and rugby and made it to national championships in gymnastics. Marthinus obtained his bachelor’s degree at North West University South Africa in Sports and Recreation Management. After completing his university degree in SA, he went to Dallas to be an AuPair. I looked after two kids, Jack and Rachel. When he returned to SA, a friend asked if he wanted to join her in Korea, so he went and taught English for three years in South Korea and Vietnam. He pursued yachting when he realized that teaching is not something I want to do as a career. A friend from his hometown that joined yachting and became a captain told him to try it and see if I liked it. Now he is very he did. Marthinus favorite activity on board is taking the guests on tender rides. Whether it be a sunset booze cruise, taking them to an island to explore, going fishing or taking them snorkeling somewhere. Tender rides are always fun! Marthinus favorite destinations, including The Bahamas as he thinks it is the most beautiful, but also enjoyed Savanna as it was a lot of fun! Marthinus hobbies include hunting and fishing. He also dabbled in skateboarding and BMX biking. He like taking pictures and videos using my camera, action camera and drone. He like playing sports much more than watching them and some of my favorites are golf, rugby, and squash. Engineer JUAN JOSE DI MATTEO FIORANI Juan Jose grew up Mexico City with his parents and older sister. When he was 15 years old, he left Mexico for Virginia to attend high school at a Military Academy. After graduating high school, he continued his education and obtained a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Approximately 22 years ago is when Juan Jose started his career at sea. He first became a scuba instructor and started working on liveaboards with Aggressor Adventures. Since he had a mechanical background, he started working as a dive instructor/engineer on the liveaboards. As he continues to progress with scuba diving, he received his Technical Dive Instructor certificates with both PADI, SSI & TDI and he is also an EFR Instructor. He has completed over 800 scuba diving certifications and has performed over 18,000 dives. Juan Jose currently holds his 500-ton Captain′s license. He is well trained to the highest level and is proficient at providing 5-star service. He is very hard working induvial that can’t wait to show you are your guests an amazing time! Juan Jose hobbies include soccer, playing the guitar, singing, skydiving, riding dirt bikes, hiking, CrossFit, skating, bicycle, scuba diving and of course traveling! His favorite destination is the Sea of Cortez, Mexico, “you see everything in there, most beautiful place on earth.” + 2 more crew, details coming soon!

"A Hatteras Yacht does not aspire to offer a luxury. That is simply where we begin. It is beyond that point – and within the experience each voyage offers – that you begin to understand the true Hatteras difference. That difference, for over half a century, has allowed Hatteras to stand as the benchmark of quality and innovation to which all others aspire." - Hatteras Yachts

Captain: Willem Strauss

Juan Jose currently holds his 500-ton Captain´s license.

Mate MAGNUS VAN DER BERG

Marthinus grew up in a small farming town in the Eastern Freestate of South Africa.

Engineer JUAN JOSE DI MATTEO FIORANI

Juan Jose grew up Mexico City with his parents and older sister.

Juan Jose currently holds his 500-ton Captain´s license.

His favorite destination is the Sea of Cortez, Mexico, “you see everything in there, most beautiful place on earth.”

+ 2 more crew, details coming soon!

";s:14:"yachtCrewPhoto";s:81:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtlg/yacht7697/7697brochure44.jpg";s:13:"yachtCrew1Pic";s:76:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtlg/yacht7697/7697crew1.jpg";s:13:"yachtCrew2Pic";s:76:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtlg/yacht7697/7697crew2.jpg";s:13:"yachtCrew3Pic";s:76:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtlg/yacht7697/7697crew3.jpg";s:13:"yachtCrew4Pic";s:0:"";s:13:"yachtCrew5Pic";s:0:"";s:13:"yachtCrew6Pic";s:0:"";s:13:"yachtCrew7Pic";s:0:"";s:13:"yachtCrew8Pic";s:0:"";s:13:"yachtCrew9Pic";s:0:"";s:14:"yachtCrew10Pic";s:0:"";s:14:"yachtCrew1Name";s:17:"Yvonne and Willem";s:14:"yachtCrew2Name";s:6:"Magnus";s:14:"yachtCrew3Name";s:9:"Juan Jose";s:14:"yachtCrew4Name";s:0:"";s:14:"yachtCrew5Name";s:0:"";s:14:"yachtCrew6Name";s:0:"";s:14:"yachtCrew7Name";s:0:"";s:14:"yachtCrew8Name";s:0:"";s:14:"yachtCrew9Name";s:0:"";s:15:"yachtCrew10Name";s:0:"";s:15:"yachtCrew1Title";s:16:"Captain and Chef";s:15:"yachtCrew2Title";s:4:"Mate";s:15:"yachtCrew3Title";s:8:"Engineer";s:15:"yachtCrew4Title";s:0:"";s:15:"yachtCrew5Title";s:0:"";s:15:"yachtCrew6Title";s:0:"";s:15:"yachtCrew7Title";s:0:"";s:15:"yachtCrew8Title";s:0:"";s:15:"yachtCrew9Title";s:0:"";s:16:"yachtCrew10Title";s:0:"";s:9:"yachtFlag";s:7:"Jamaica";s:13:"yachtHomePort";s:15:"Nassau, Bahamas";s:14:"yachtWBasePort";s:15:"Nassau, Bahamas";s:8:"yachtRig";s:0:"";s:14:"yachtGrossTons";s:0:"";s:12:"yachtAcNight";s:3:"Yes";s:16:"yachtAcSurCharge";s:2:"No";s:9:"yachtTubs";s:1:"0";s:20:"yachtLocationDetails";s:0:"";s:10:"yachtTerms";s:5:"+ ALL";s:13:"yachtCaptOnly";s:0:"";s:15:"yachtSpecialCon";s:0:"";s:14:"yachtContracts";s:0:"";s:21:"yachtConsumptionUnits";s:10:"US Gall/Hr";s:10:"yachtRange";s:0:"";s:11:"yachtPermit";s:1:"2";s:12:"yachtLicense";s:1:"2";s:8:"yachtMca";s:1:"1";s:16:"yachtDeepSeaFish";s:3:"Yes";s:10:"yachtSatTv";s:3:"Yes";s:9:"yachtIpod";s:3:"Yes";s:10:"yachtVideo";s:0:"";s:17:"yachtSailInstruct";s:2:"No";s:13:"yachtInternet";s:12:"Onboard WIFI";s:16:"yachtCaptainOnly";s:0:"";s:16:"yachtBrokerNotes";s:280:"NEED DETAILS FOR 2022 REFIT!
- New flybridge bar
- New staircase to flybridge
- New softgoods throughout
- New furniture in skylounge
- New 17’ AB 115 HP Yamaha
- Inflatable floating dock
- Inflatable floating island
";s:15:"yachtInsCompany";s:0:"";s:11:"yachtPolicy";s:0:"";s:14:"yachtLiability";s:0:"";s:18:"yachtEffectiveDate";s:0:"";s:17:"yachtContractName";s:4:"MYBA";s:20:"yachtContractAddress";s:0:"";s:18:"yachtCoverageAreas";s:0:"";s:12:"yachtInsFlag";s:7:"Jamaica";s:16:"yachtInsHomeport";s:11:"Montego Bay";s:11:"yachtRegNum";s:0:"";s:14:"yachtConPhone1";s:15:"+1 954-368-7212";s:14:"yachtConPhone2";s:15:"+1 954-551-1329";s:14:"yachtConPhone3";s:0:"";s:11:"yachtConFax";s:0:"";s:17:"yachtWaveConEmail";s:24:" [email protected] ";s:13:"yachtConOther";s:0:"";s:12:"yachtManager";s:32:"Superyacht Sales and Charter LLC";s:16:"yachtManagerName";s:12:"Jeff Shaffer";s:17:"yachtManagerPhone";s:15:"+1 954 368 7212";s:16:"yachtManagerToll";s:0:"";s:17:"yachtManagerEmail";s:23:" [email protected] ";}

Mate MAGNUS VAN DER BERG

Marthinus grew up in a small farming town in the Eastern Freestate of South Africa.

Engineer JUAN JOSE DI MATTEO FIORANI

Juan Jose grew up Mexico City with his parents and older sister.

Juan Jose currently holds his 500-ton Captain´s license.

His favorite destination is the Sea of Cortez, Mexico, “you see everything in there, most beautiful place on earth.”

+ 2 more crew, details coming soon!

Most expenses are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), a fund that is added on top of the charter price. The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption). You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled). The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.">Price Terms: Plus Expenses

Willem Strauss

VETERAN TEAM OF WILLEM AND YVONNE ARE JOINED BY 4 ADDITIONAL CREW TO PROVIDE GREAT SAFETY AND SERVICE ABOARD! Captain WILLEM STRAUSS grew up in a very small town in the semi-desert of the Western Cape of South Africa. At a young age the family moved to Namibia and at age 7 Willem started diving for lobsters off the Natal Coast every holiday. Thus began his love of the water. As a young man he participated in rugby, tennis, cricket, and the national karate team! In 1996 he bought his first ocean going sailing catamaran, and for the next 6 years he owned and operated a charter business in Madagascar and Mozambique. When not aboard Lone Star, Captain Strauss can be found enjoying golf, sailing, and even building boats!

Yvonne Swart

Magnus Van Der Berg

Marthinus grew up in a small farming town in the Eastern Freestate of South Africa. Marthinus hobbies include hunting and fishing. He also dabbled in skateboarding and BMX biking. He like taking pictures and videos using my camera, action camera and drone. He like playing sports much more than watching them and some of my favorites are golf, rugby, and squash.

Juan Jose Di Matteo Fiorani

Juan Jose grew up Mexico City with his parents and older sister. Juan Jose currently holds his 500-ton Captain´s license. ‘9-1-1’ Star Oliver Stark on Buck’s Sexuality and That Life-Changing Yet ‘Earned’ Story in the 100th Episode

9-1-1 - “Buck Bothered and Bewildered” - Upon her return to shore, Athena’s son, Harry, finds himself in trouble with the law. Meanwhile, Buck grows envious as Eddie forms a close bond with someone else, and the 118 rescue a woman who’s stuck on receiving a rose at an iconic mansion. THURSDAY, APRIL 4 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EDT) on ABC. (Disney/Chris Willard) OLIVER STARK

SPOILER ALERT: This interview contains spoilers from “Buck Bothered and Bewildered,” the fourth episode of “ 9-1-1 ” Season 7 on ABC.

Apart from a sticky synergy stunt at the Bachelor mansion, the 100th episode of “9-1-1” didn’t feature any emergencies that rival the most off-the-wall disasters the show has experienced during its seven-season run. But it did conclude with potentially the most shocking moment the Ryan Murphy-produced first-responder show has ever seen: a kiss between the ostensibly straight Evan “Buck” Buckley ( Oliver Stark ) and another male character.

Those audience members might take comfort in knowing that Stark himself didn’t know that this kiss between Buck and Tommy — and the promise of a date to come — would be occurring, he tells Variety , until “9-1-1” had already begun shooting Season 7.

“I wasn’t so much told, as asked,” Stark said, recalling the pitch call he received from series co-creator Tim Minear around Episode 3 of this season. “He had already been in contact with Lou, who plays Tommy — he wanted to know that he was on board before bringing it to me. So not with too much notice he said, ‘I think this is the most truthful way to continue Buck’s storyline.’ And I said, ‘I 100% agree.'”

Stark says this queer love storyline for Buck “is going to be great” as it continues through coming episodes. “I think it’s deserved and I think it’s earned — and I am excited to to get the chance to tell it,” he said.

Read more from Variety ‘s interview with Stark about “9-1-1’s” 100th episode in the Q&A below.

The way you describe going through the episode and having some uncertainty — “Where is this headed?” — I think is quite intentional. And that’s Buck’s journey throughout the episode. I don’t think at any point he is conscious of what he might be feeling. We’ve kind of build it as this jealousy, and I don’t think he’s necessarily jealous of anyone — he just has these new feelings, and doesn’t quite know what word to use or how to comprehend what he’s actually feeling. And then the payoff at the end is lovely. And when I watch it, it makes me feel really emotional. It’s such a release for Buck and this, quote unquote, “Oh!” moment. And it is this moment of not just release, but relief.

As to what the fans are going to think of it, I don’t know. But I mean that in a great way: Like, it’s almost none of my business. As the actor, if you get too caught up in what the reaction is going to be, you’re probably going to get yourself into dangerous territory. The most efficient way, or the most sensible way to deal with it, is to just focus on the moment and find something that feels truthful while we’re making the show. And then if people love it, that’s fantastic. And if they take issue with it, you know — that’s also fine. That’s the point in making these things.

Obviously, I hope they like it, but if they don’t, I still feel like we told a truthful story for Buck in these episodes.

What was shooting “The Bachelor” crossover emergency at the actual Bachelor mansion with Jesse Palmer and Joey Graziadei like? That’s definitely not something you could have done before “9-1-1” switched from Fox to ABC.

I loved it. I didn’t realize until maybe the day before that we were shooting at the actual Bachelor mansion. So I think I said probably three times that day, “Wait, we’re really going to the Bachelor mansion?” And not because it’s a show that I’ve watched every season of, but I’ve seen episodes and I think it’s a cool format. And it’s obviously an iconic show. So that we got to go there and get to be a part of it and incorporate it into ours was an honor, really.

One of the most fun aspects for me is that we had two film crews. So we had our crew, which shot post-emergency. But all the stuff before we come in, the “Bachelor” crew actually shot so that it would feel 100% like an episode of “The Bachelor.” I thought Joey Graziadei and Jesse Palmer did a great job. I really enjoy watching them in the episode. Obviously, Jesse, as a host is slightly more used to being on camera in a formal situation. But I thought Joey did a really great job, too.

It makes me question the moments in “The Bachelor” — are you guys just acting, because you were really good at that?

The focus was on it being important, but also not wanting it to feel like the bravest episode in television. We just wanted to tell a lighthearted love story that happens to be a queer love story. It’s an element, but it’s not everything.

He’ll obviously have some questions for himself, and for others — and you’re right, he will absolutely go to Maddie and talk these things out and other people within the 118, and he’ll get different reactions. Some will be surprised, and some will not be so surprised. But it’s very true to the world of “9-1-1” that he will lean on those around him, and will receive the support that he needs.

You said you were “asked” rather than told about the new storyline for Buck. So do you think Tim Minear would have changed plans if you didn’t think it was the right move for Buck?

Tim has always been a fantastic collaborator, and he wants to involve us and is aware that the show is at its best when everybody’s on the same page and when he’s excited about what he’s writing and when the actors are excited about what they’re playing. So maybe I’m naive in thinking this, but I do believe he was actually asking me, and not secretly telling. It was then really nice to continue to collaborate on the story with him throughout the episode, and then throughout Episode 5 and him call me saying “All right, I’ve got this idea now.” And to have scenes come day by day instead of waiting for a whole script and feel his excitement, like, “I have just finished the scene, read this one.” It was really nice as the actor to feel like he was really invested in telling the story the right way. But also just invested in the excitement of telling it.

How early on in production did you shoot the kiss scene from the final moments of the episode? And what was that experience like for you and Lou?

Pretty early, because the way the episodes tend to work is anything that we shoot on the sound stages get shot first, because we don’t have to secure locations. So it was probably the second or third day of the episode. And I don’t really know Lou, and our characters had never met before the previous episode. I’ve met him very, very briefly a couple of years ago when he was on Season 2. So that was pretty early on into knowing him we shot this.

We had a phone call the day before and discussed how we thought the scene might go, and in actual fact it didn’t really play out the way I thought it might. The way that I felt shooting it wasn’t necessarily the way I had felt like Buck was going to react. It became far more emotional than I expected it to. But that’s one of the joys of this job, and of being an actor, is finding those moments as they happen and having the freedom to explore them and go with them.

With “9-1-1” and spinoff “Lone Star” now on different networks, what are your hopes for how the two might still support each other or collaborate? Honestly, I don’t really know how that will work. On a personal level, I know plenty of their cast, some better than others, I’m excited to watch them come back on and do amazingly well. I haven’t watched every episode of the show, but I’ve watched a good amount and especially this year. In fact, Tim would send me specific episodes. For example, Chad Lowe directed Episode 4 of “9-1-1,” and he’s done a number of “Lone Star” episodes so he would send me some of those episodes, just episodes that he was really proud of. So I’ve watched a lot more of it this year and I think it’s a really great show and I’m excited for them to come back. I don’t know in what capacity we could ever be involved in that but I wish them nothing but total success.
