The area of the Central and South American nation of Panama is 75,517 square kilometers (29,208 square miles). The Pacific and Caribbean oceans, which are separated by barely 50 miles at their narrowest point, flank it. The 2.7 million Panamanians speak Spanish as their mother tongue, but English is also widely spoken. Since 1904, the U.S. dollar has been accepted as legal tender in Panama, which is also a stable, democratic, and independent Republic. All major credit cards are accepted at the numerous ATMs located around the country. Panama is home to the fifth-largest international banking hub in the world. You need a current passport, and your airline may be able to give you a 90-day tourist card.

Major North and South American cities have direct flights to Panama’s Tocumen International Airport. The travel time to Miami is two hours. His hurricane-free country has a tropical climate with two distinct seasons, and European aircraft fly across it. From the middle of December through May, the frigid trade winds blow. Weak winds and infrequent precipitation characterize the remaining months of the year. The steady temperature fluctuates between 80 and 90 °F (25 to 30 °C).

After arriving in Panama, fly to Porvenier quickly on a small aircraft. Your crew will welcome you and take you back to your charter yacht on the tender. Onboard, savor a relaxing lunch before exploring the charming Nalunega. A quick excursion to the Chichime Cays gives plenty of time to observe the sunset over Panama’s highlands.

Spend the morning snorkeling in the pristine seas before grudgingly making your way back to the boat for lunch. Your captain will maneuver the boat to the following anchorage, Holandes Cays, while you enjoy an outdoor meal on the covered deck. The thought of diving back into the sea or taking a stroll down the white sand beach while unwinding under a coconut palm is almost too tempting to resist.

Enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee while you watch the sun rise over a picture-perfect tropical island. Leave for the Coco Bandero Cays after breakfast. A beach BBQ will serve as lunch, and afterwards you can take a sleep in a hammock hung between two palm palms. Afterward, you may go swimming or kayaking before sunset cocktails.

As you move toward Alitupu, which is close to the mainland, you can hear the calm hum of the engine. Discover the neighboring river while taking in the dense canopy of the rainforest and the countless bird species that call it home.

Leave Nurdupu’s tranquil perfection for the busier island of Rio Diablo. Lunch in town to sample regional food and take advantage of the welcoming Kuna Indians’ hospitality. With its expansive stands of bamboo and mango trees, the Rio Nasadi will be gently explored in the afternoon.

An early start for Ustupu, where the largest community in San Blas, with 8,000 residents, is located! However, there is still time to make one final quick stop to enjoy a swim in the gin-clear waters before bathing and making the short trek to the airport to catch your flight back to civilisation. You are aware that you must go back because there are still hundreds of islands to discover. The journey will continue.

Both short term and long term visitors are welcome.  Management and staff have the know-how to make your arrival and stay in Bocas del Toro smooth and comfortable. A great advantage to you, the yacht owner, is that you can leave your vessel in Panamá indefinitely with NO taxes to pay!  The only requirement is that you maintain a current cruising permit which is, as of December, 2020, currently less than $200 a year.

The 60.15m/197'4" 'Iron Blonde' motor yacht built by the American shipyard Trinity Yachts is available for charter for up to 12 guests in 7 cabins. This yacht features interior styling by Patrick Knowles.

Built in 2012, Iron Blonde boasts a multitude of decks ideal for relaxation and entertainment indoors or outdoors, ensuring guests will live la dolce vita on the open waters. She has sensational features such as wheelchair accessibility, elevator, beach club and gym.

Guest Accommodation

Iron Blonde is great for families thanks to her child-friendly setup. She offers guest accommodation for up to 12 guests with a layout comprising a master suite, one VIP cabin, three double cabins and one twin cabin. The supremely spacious full beam master suite features extensive storage space provided by the dressing room benefits from a his and her bathroom. There are 9 beds in total, including 4 king, 2 queen, 1 double, 1 single and 1 pullman. She is also capable of carrying up to 15 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.

You and your guests can enjoy a variety of experiences on Iron Blonde such as a dedicated library, where you can unwind in seclusion. The steam room is great for your skin and a perfect place to unwind plus visit the sauna and disconnect in peace and quiet. Make your day truly exceptional at the beach club or a gym with all the latest equipment is available for a good work out. Retreat to the deck jacuzzi and soak up the scenery.

Iron Blonde benefits from some excellent features to improve your charter such as wheelchair-friendly access, making this vessel suitable for all guests. Travelling from deck to deck is quick, easy and accessible with the on-board elevator plus stay connected to the outside world on long voyages with satellite communications. Guests will experience complete comfort while chartering thanks to air conditioning.

Performance & Range

Built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, she benefits from a semi-displacement hull to provide exceptional seakeeping and impressive speeds. Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, she comfortably cruises at 16 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 18 knots with a range of up to 4,350 nautical miles from her 108,190 litre fuel tanks at 12 knots. An advanced stabilisation system on board reduces the side-to-side roll of the yacht and promises guests exceptional comfort levels at anchor or when underway.

Onboard Iron Blonde has a large selection of toys and accessories to keep you and your guests entertained on the water throughout your stay. Principle among these are Flyboards, experience flying in and out of the water with the latest in high adrenaline watersport. Another excellent feature are waterslides for guests of all ages to enjoy. Take to the sea on a Jet Ski offering you power and control on the water. If that isn't enough Iron Blonde also features towable toys, waterskis, a seabob, wakeboards, fishing equipment and much more. Iron Blonde features two tenders, but leading the pack is a 12.2m/40' Yellowfin Tender to transport you in style.

MIA RAMA is a sister ship to the lovely O’NEIRO.
