Resort View Room Tour at Disney’s Yacht Club (Is an Upgraded View Worth It?)

This article provides a tour of a resort view room at Disney’s Yacht Club. We were assigned room #4216 on the fourth floor of Disney’s Yacht Club. We’ll also discuss where and when an upgraded view is worth your consideration.

Disney’s Yacht Club is one of our favorite resorts at Walt Disney World . So, when it came time to pick a resort for a personal trip, Yacht Club was at the top of our list.

You may remember we stayed at Disney’s Yacht Club earlier this year. Therefore, I won’t write another review of the Yacht Club for this trip. But I wanted to provide a tour of our room and discuss room view categories.

You may be aware that Disney recently changed the description of their room views. Formerly, Yacht Club rooms offered the following views: standard, garden or woods, or a water view. Now, those categories (at the Yacht Club) are standard, resort, or water views.

disney yacht club room tour

A standard view is of a rooftop or parking area. A resort view is a view of a garden, rooftop, or parking area. Lastly, a water view is considered a view of Crescent Lake or the quiet pool.

Disney’s Yacht Club is one of the few resorts I would consider splurging on a water view. However, we went with the resort view for this trip because it was within a reasonable price range that fit our budget.

We spent the greater portion of each day at Stormalong Bay , so I didn’t necessarily miss having the water view. But I did catch myself thinking–next time, we’ll do a water view.

If we had booked this upgrade and our water view had been of the quiet pool, I would not have been happy. If and when I upgrade to a water view, I want to see Crescent Lake. To me, a view of the quiet pool versus a view of Crescent Lake isn’t comparable. So you’ll want to consider this when booking a room upgrade.

Also the same goes for a standard view. If you get a rooftop view or have a large HVAC unit sitting outside your room, it will likely put a damper on things. So make sure you consider these things when planning a trip.

However, if standard view pricing allows you to stay at the Yacht Club within your budget, the view probably won’t matter. But don’t go into the trip with expectations of waking up each morning to a stunning view–because you probably won’t have one!

Here is our room.

disney yacht club room tour

Standard rooms at Disney’s Yacht Club feature two queen beds with a sofa that converts to a single sleeper. This room sleeps up to five guests. We were a party of two adults and one child. So we each had a bed. This sleeper is comfortable and comparable to the single sleeper in the Incredible rooms at Disney’s Contemporary .

disney yacht club room tour

Here is a close-up of the futon-style bed.

disney yacht club room tour

When the bed is not in use, it makes for a nice sitting area. Since we used the bed, we left it converted the entire trip. Housekeeping made up the bed each day. I also wanted to mention that we had excellent service during our stay. We came home to towel creations and a well-attended room each evening.

disney yacht club room tour

Our room had a dresser with plenty of storage.

disney yacht club room tour

On top of the dresser, there was counter space, plus several outlets and USB ports.

disney yacht club room tour

An extra pillow and blanket were tucked away inside. If you need more, call housekeeping or leave a note. They will leave what you need in your room.

disney yacht club room tour

One of the things I like about the rooms at Disney’s Yacht Club is the built-in closet area.

disney yacht club room tour

This area provides multiple spaces to hang clothes or store items. When traveling with others, having a place to organize your personal belongings is helpful. Not only does it simplify things, it also provides the ability to get ready more efficiently.

disney yacht club room tour

An in-room safe, steam iron, and ironing board are available.

disney yacht club room tour

At the front of the foyer, a separate built-in provides shelving and a few other in-room amenities.

disney yacht club room tour

An individual Keurig coffee maker with accompaniments was available.

disney yacht club room tour

Underneath, a door opens to provide a beverage cooler. A separate drawer above the fridge provides extra storage space. It had a few paper cups and lids for coffee cups.

However, it’s disappointing that Disney has not replaced paper products in the rooms with glassware. I don’t know how you feel, but paper products are cheap. They are also not environmentally friendly.

disney yacht club room tour

Here is a look at the layout of the guest bathroom.

disney yacht club room tour

Rooms have a single vanity with two sinks and plenty of toiletries.

disney yacht club room tour

A ledge is available underneath the mirror, which allows plenty of space to store personal items. Additionally, a make-up mirror, hairdryer, and a plethora of towels were available.

disney yacht club room tour

Our room had a stand-alone (walk-in) shower.

disney yacht club room tour

It had a primary showerhead and a detachable one.

disney yacht club room tour

Disney’s Yacht Club offers individual toiletries, including body wash, bar soap, facial soap, shampoo, and conditioner.

disney yacht club room tour

We had a desk with a chair in the far corner of our room. A roll-out table is tucked underneath the desk. It can be moved anywhere in the room.

disney yacht club room tour

Curtains at Disney’s Yacht Club are designed to look like constellations. Each cluster of stars connects to form a Disney character.

disney yacht club room tour

We ended up with a large balcony and a pleasant resort view.

disney yacht club room tour

Here is a photo. This view faces the front of the resort, and that’s the Yacht Club’s convention center in the distance. If I leaned out and looked to the left, I could see the port cochere at the Yacht Club’s main entrance.

Final Thoughts

Overall, we were satisfied with our resort view room. If you or someone in your party plans to spend a decent amount of time in the room, a resort or water view upgrade is worth consideration.

However, if you’ll spend a ton of time at the pool or park-hopping between neighboring Epcot and Hollywood Studios–you might prefer to save the money and book a standard view.

Those are decisions you’ll have to make. But, ultimately, it’s hard to go wrong with Disney’s Yacht Club. We love this hotel and are always excited to stay here.

Disney used to have a service where you were able to purchase items in the parks and then have them delivered to your resort’s gift shop. However, that service has been unavailable for several years now.

Although parking at Disney World resort hotels used to cost a nightly fee for resort guests, Disney has changed their policy so that parking is now  free  for all on-site resort guests. This change was implemented on January 10, 2023.

Valet parking is also available for $33 per night.

Complimentary standard self-parking is available for non-resort guests exploring dining, shopping, entertainment, and other experiences during the day.

We also have a complete  Walt Disney World parking  guide you can browse.

Important: Valet parking might not always be available.

Disney World Room Tour: Disney’s Yacht Club

Disney World Room Tour: Disney's Yacht Club

Today we’re taking you through one of the beautiful refurbished rooms at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort .

About Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

The Yacht Club and it’s sister resort, The Beach Club, embody a New England seaside vibe along Crescent Lake, adjacent to World Showcase in EPCOT.  This Deluxe Resort offers plenty of dining and entertainment for guests staying on property.  Nautical touches throughout the resort, along with amenities like Stormalong Bay , a sandy beach, and easy access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, make this resort a personal favorite of mine.

Stormalong Bay pool area featuring a windmill and an island accessible by 2 white bridges

Yacht Club Rooms

Yacht Club Room

All of the rooms at the Yacht Club were refurbished in late 2017 to bring the decor up to date, and add a light, modern feel.  Now, hues of navy blue and beige created a muted nautical vibe with accents like riveting and textile add to the subtle theming. Almost all the standard rooms at Yacht Club can sleep five guests, with 2 queen-sized beds, and one twin pull-down sofa bed.

Yacht Club Room

The dark woods in the floors and furniture give the whole space a sophisticated feel, and the details on the furniture give it a steamer trunk look and feel.  There is a large chest of drawers below the mounted flat screen TV that provides tons of space for storage of clothes.

During the latest renovations of most rooms at Disney, they are opting for a laminate floor over rugs, to make the rooms easier to clean, and more allergy/dust friendly.  They’ve also eliminated the platforms under the beds, which leaves a huge open space to store luggage during your stay.

Yacht Club Room

A small enclosed nook houses the small mini-fridge, and there’s a cute little coffee station above it.  You’ll find a 1-cup Keurig coffee maker, along with a selection of Joffery’s K-cups.  Additional glasses and mugs are stored on the shelves above.

Yacht Club Room

A huge wardrobe stands in place of the traditional sliding closet, which has tons of room in it.  The smaller door to the right hides the room safe, as well as a fold out ironing board and iron storage.

Yacht Club Room

Directly across from the closet space is a divided bath.  The sink area is now closed off to the rest of the room with a large sliding barn door.  You’ll find double sinks and a huge lighted mirror.  There’s also tons of storage space below the sinks, as well as a lighted rotating make-up mirror.

Yacht Club Room

The toilet and tub/shower are in their own sperate place, closed off by a pocket door, to save space.  Sliding glass doors replace the older shower curtains.  In the shower, there is a fixed showerhead, as well as a smaller handheld sprayer.  Perfect for rising those sandy feet after a day in Stormalong Bay .

Yacht Club Room

Every room includes either a full balcony or a balconette.  If you’ve reserved a water view room, you can expect fantastic views of Crescent Lake and the Boardwalk Resort just across the water.  From this room we had an amazing view across the water, and we were able to see the fireworks from IllumiNations at night.

Yacht Club Room

Skyliner Transportation – Coming Soon!

In addition to the amazing resort amenities and location, the Yacht Club is also one of the resorts that will be served by the new Skyliner transportation system .  Beginning this Fall, the Skyliner will take guests from the International Gateway entrance (a quick walk from the resorts main entrance) to Hollywood Studios, as well as other resorts, including the new Rivera Resort, opening late this year!

Photo tour of a refurbed room at disney’s yacht club resort.

disney yacht club room tour

(For the first page of this review of Disney’s Yacht Club Resort,  see this .)

In late 2017, Disney’s Yacht Club resort completed a much-needed room refurb, and I had the chance to stay in a refurbed room in early November.

A complete photo tour follows, but for those familiar with the former rooms here, here’s the key points:

  • The rooms are much more livable than before
  • Yacht Club rooms were never very interesting, and have gotten even less so
  • A gulf has emerged between Beach Club rooms and Yacht Club rooms.  In the past they were largely identical other than balconies, color schemes and decorations. Now, after each of their recent refurbs, while they continue to have the same basic characteristics in terms of size, capacity, bath layout and such, the Yacht Club rooms are better on almost every other dimension

STANDARD ROOMS AT DISNEY’S YACHT CLUB RESORT

Standard rooms at the Yacht Club sleep either four or five–four on two queens, and the fifth on a fold-down sofa bed, if present.

disney yacht club room tour

At the entry, the bath area is on one side…

disney yacht club room tour

…and the coffee area, mini-fridge, and closet on the other.

disney yacht club room tour

The coffee maker is a Keurig–unusual in Disney World rooms–and underneath it is a good-sized drawer.

disney yacht club room tour

Below both, and behind a door, is the same sort of glass-fronted mini-fridge that’s been common in recently refurbed Disney World rooms.

disney yacht club room tour

Beyond these is the re-done closet. Note the nice paneling and the shelves above and below on the right side.

disney yacht club room tour

Inside the doors you’ll find more structured storage. Older Disney rooms have just a long blank closet with a long clothes rod and a shelf above.  This is much more helpful.

disney yacht club room tour

The safe is quite large– my book is 6×9 inches, and you could fit a more than a dozen.  In fact, you probably should.

disney yacht club room tour

The other side of the room contains the divided bath. The sink area, which used to be open to the room, now has a sliding barn door that can limit the effect of light and noise in here on the rest of the room.

disney yacht club room tour

Inside you’ll find double sinks and, new with this refurb, a make-up mirror.

disney yacht club room tour

The hair dryer.

disney yacht club room tour

Storage underneath the sinks.

disney yacht club room tour

The tub and toilet are in their own separate space, now closed off by a pocket door rather than a swinging door. I’m not a fan of the new sliding shower doors which replace the old curtain. They make it too hard to bathe kids.

disney yacht club room tour

The two heads of the rainfall shower make it much more usable.

disney yacht club room tour

The toiletries.

disney yacht club room tour

Back in the room, on one side you’ll find two queen beds.

disney yacht club room tour

The bed side from the back. In four person rooms, you’ll find an easy chair where the desk is, and the desk is moved to the TV side of the room, where the couch is in five person rooms.

disney yacht club room tour

A closer view of one of the queens. Note that, consistent with recent trends in hotels–especially higher end hotels–these beds are high off the floor. At about 30 inches they may be as much as six inches taller than you are used to, and are about three inches higher than the beds in the Beach Club. Shorter folk and those with any number of disabilities may have difficulty getting into them.

disney yacht club room tour

New in this refurb is a set of (?halogen) pencil reading lights. There are four in total, one on each side of each queen. They come on when you pull them out of their slot in the headboard, and you can aim them.

disney yacht club room tour

The additional bulb-style reading lights on the walls are each controlled by a single switch per bed, so both of a bed’s wall-mounted lights will light up when that switch is thrown.  The pencil lights provide more control and more light.

disney yacht club room tour

There’s a small bedside shelf with a power point for four devices (two plug, two USB) between the near bed and the bath wall.

disney yacht club room tour

In addition between the two beds is a more traditional bedside table. I believe the design of this table is meant to recall the steamer trunks that used to be taken on transatlantic cruises.  We’ll see other gestures towards this design concept in the dresser. Also, if you scan up above, you’ll see a similar theming to the mini-fridge enclosure.

disney yacht club room tour

The table has another 4 device power point and three small storage drawers, with one big enough for your most important books.

disney yacht club room tour

The undersides of the bed are now open…

disney yacht club room tour

…creating a handy place to shove your luggage.

disney yacht club room tour

The desk includes 8 power points…

disney yacht club room tour

…and underneath is is a rolling table, handy for eating or playing games.

disney yacht club room tour

The TV side of the room has the connecting door (if present), dresser, TV, and a couch in five person rooms. In four person rooms, the desk is moved to this side.

disney yacht club room tour

The TV side from the back.

disney yacht club room tour

The TV is 54 inches–much bigger than that in the Beach Club rooms.

disney yacht club room tour

The dresser includes nine drawers and a cabinet.  There’s plenty of storage in these rooms, even for five people. There’s a four-device power point at either end of the dresser.

disney yacht club room tour

The couch…

disney yacht club room tour

…folds down into a bed, which I measured as 33″ by 75.”  The high sides at the ends make it sleep a little shorter than this.  The cushion is firm but thin, and so the bed  is best suited to kids, the uncomplaining, or those whose complaints are safely ignored.

disney yacht club room tour

Above the couch is this art. The Mickey head and reference to Disney World’s 1971 opening is one of three subtle gestures in the room to Disney theming.

disney yacht club room tour

The second is in this art on the wall between the beds and the bath…

disney yacht club room tour

…and the third is in this curtain that separates the balcony from the room.

disney yacht club room tour

Look closely at what at first seems a map of the constellations of the night sky, and you will see some constellations hitherto unknown to mankind.

disney yacht club room tour

Almost all Yacht Club rooms have full-width balconies, unlike the Beach Club, which combines regular balconies, small balconies and uselessly tiny ones.

This balcony difference was traditionally the largest difference between Yacht Club and Beach Club rooms. But after the 2015 Beach Club room refurb and 2017 Yacht Club room refurb, more differences have emerged, as the Yacht Club rooms now have…

  • Keurig coffee makers
  • Wooden floors
  • More structured closet storage
  • Larger safe
  • Barn-door closure to the sink area
  • A make-up mirror
  • Pocket door access to the bath
  • Dual shower heads
  • Sliding shower doors
  • Under-bed storage
  • Halogen individual reading lights

…most of which most people would consider improvements in livability over the Beach Club rooms.

My co-author Josh has a review of this same room here , with better photos.

Thanks Dave! No grandparents for the upcoming trip, so that’s where the stroller shall go:-) Although, we are actually booked at BC (splitting the trip, half Pop, half BC). I was curious to see if YC was the same price and if we should switch. The main reason we’d switch is the guaranteed balcony. I need to check your BC review about the best way to request a (larger) balcony room!

' src=

Eric, I have to say that after both refurbs, I do prefer the YC rooms, even beyond the balcony issue.

Hey Dave. Was the entire YC refurbed, or are there still sections yet-to-be updated? Also, your suitcase looked like a carry-on; for families rocking large piece luggage, do you think they’d also fit under the beds? When adding a double-stroller & crib to the mix, it was actually a little tight in our Poly room. Thankfully we parked our stroller in grandma & grandpa’s king bedroom next door 🙂

Hey Eric! The entire YC was refurbed, and the refurb is complete.

The bag you see, packed the way I packed it, is about 11 inches. Looks to me like there’s four or five more inches of clearance. So I guess it depends on the depth of your bags. Some bags will fit on the closet, in either of the two hanging areas.

These rooms are smaller than the Poly rooms, so you may be challenged, especially if you need to use the connecting door on this trip–as in front of it is the best place for strollers.

Thanks so much for the awesome update. We’ve stayed at the Beach Club before it’s most recent renovation and found the resort to be underwhelming but loved the location.

We are staying in the Yacht Club in February and are looking forward to it!

Have fun, Anthony, and let me know what you think!

Interview with Adele conducted in the summer of 1984 for the Indians in Moscow fan club

THERE COMES A CLATTERING OF DISHES from the kitchen as I sit back on the sofa in Adele's living room. Only half an hour late, I look around the room, wondering why there is a giant map of Vietnam on the table.

Adele comes in with the tea, puts it on the coffee table and kneels down. My first impression seems to confirm the image of weird schizophrenia put out unavoidably by the release of two totally different singles, namely Naughty Miranda and I Wish I Had . An almost perfectly inscrutable smile plays across Adele's features, causing me to wonder just what is going on in the brain two inches behind those piecing green eyes, what dreams, what nightmares, what scenarios of exquisite strangeness are being acted out, are there majestically sweeping landscapes, whose horizons can be - ( Get on with it -Ed. )

How did Adele come to be involved in such a business that seems to fit her like a pair of favourite trousers?

"Well, it happened when I was doing radio journalism for Radio Humberside. I did an interview with a band called The Vets , and Neil from The Vets (who happens to be our guitarist now) said to me 'Right, If we can do a gig at your school, you can do some backing vocals when we play the Hornsea Floral Hall'. I thought, 'Brilliant'. They invited us to the studio, I organised a gig at the school, 5Op a ticket, everybody came, and it made a profit, and its been a going concern ever since. Then I did some backing vocals with my friend Rachel England at the Hornsea Floral Hall."

Where did the Indians in Moscow come into all this?

"Pete Riches was forming a band a few months later, and wanted a girl singer. It was either going to be me or my friend. He contacted through mutual friends, and I gave him a ring when I got the message, and it went on from there."

"The original band was completely different, actually Indians in Moscow started about a year later after we'd just been mucking about for a while. That was in my last year I at school; at that time we had a drum-machine operator, Richard (Hornby) joined when we signed up to Kennick last February, and Neil..." Adele pauses, and chuckles to herself at the thought of Neil, "Neil, joined just before we went on tour, and it was all due to Neil that I was in the band in the first place, and now he's joined our band, its really funny."

What was being at a convent like?

"It was great really. It had its highs. I didn't like doing 'A' levels so much but I liked the school and everything. It was out in the wilds of Yorkshire; Stella Barker of the Bellestars used to go there. Some of the nuns were real bitches, but others were really nice.

"It didn't make me religious, it kind of gave me an interest in religion. It was confusing really, because I found an awful lot of hypocrisy amongst the nuns, or what appeared to be hypocrisy. It seemed to me as if they were nuns because they were escaping from the world, and they wouldn't admit it to themselves.

"It didn't make me religious, no, it gave me a spiritual bent ,if you like, I've always been interested in that sort of thing, but not necessarily Catholicism.

"The thing that really pisses me off is Night Thoughts , have you ever seen that?"

"Its on Yorkshire television, the very last thing that comes on, and there's this vicar sitting there talking in a very solemn voice about the problems of the world, and they're just full of shit, because all they're doing is trying to carve a career, or some sort of name for themselves, on the back of what they say is a belief, and its just a habit most of the time.

"I'm not saying that it's always the case, but I think that there's an awful lot of shit about, and that shit gets directed mainly into religion, politics, and the music business."

Well, what do you think of what you and the band have achieved so far?

"I- Shit, that's the milkman, excuse me!"

And Adele leaps up, and rushes out of the front door, to reappear moments later clutching a solitary milk bottle, Instead of taking it to the fridge She puts it upon the table, and we continue the interview.

"I think Jack Pelter's brilliant, I think its easily the best thing we've done, I think Nigel Gray has done a superb production on that, he's a brilliant producer.

"I think we've made some progress, but it's got to become a lot faster, and that's up to all of us really. The tour taught us a lot about what we were doing wrong and what we were doing right, the most important thing is, not that you play brilliantly, or sing brilliantly, or dance about brilliantly, the thing is to put energy into it. If you put everything you've got into it, but bugger it up, people won't notice, because they'll be getting off on the energy of it.

"I should think that when Jack Pelter breaks, then maybe we'll start playing the Venue and the Lyceum. I hope so, I'm shit scared of doing it, but I'd like to."

What would the band's reaction to success be?

"Neil will probably buy lots of fast cars and loose women - or loose cars and fast women, or whatever they are. I would imagine that Richard would have one of those big round marble baths, and spend his whole time in it with a bevy of beauties and lots of Matey in the bath. I think that Stuart will become a serious artist and go away and write a book. I would imagine that Pete would have a tantalizing affair with Alcoholics Anonymous, he'll probably also buy his De Thomason Panthera car, and have a yacht on the Mediterranean. I would imagine that..." Adele suddenly stops joking and becomes serious, " I think that I'd probably... success... I don't know... its difficult... what's success... I don't know... I don't know, because success is what you make it. I'd love to have lots of money, but if I wasn't satisfied with what I was doing then all the money in the world wouldn't help. I'd like to move on to all sorts of different things. Originally when I was at School 1 was either going to Leeds and become a fabric designer, or I was going to go into drama. I went to Drama College for a little while and I really liked that, it's something I'd like to get into a bit more, but I don't know if I'm good enough yet. Its something I'm putting off to a certain extent because I'm frightened of it."

How will the band react to success, musically ?

"What do you mean?" Adele looks confused.

Selling out?

"There's no such thing as selling out!" states Adele assertively, "I think this is completely wrong what I'm going to say now, but 1 believe that a lot of the time young bands have a lot of product, a lot of energy, then they get signed up to a record company, release a couple of singles, and then they aren't given the chance to progress naturally and they start thinking 'Oh Shit, what shall we do?' and they start thinking about what they're doing, and once they start thinking about it and analysing it they find that they can't do it any more. They bring any old crap out, like, who can I cite as examples...?" Adele stares at the ceiling for inspiration. "I don't think it's happened to Simple Minds as yet, I don't know, maybe it has..."

Is it partly this thing of having to release a single every couple of months?

"I don't know. That can be good in one way, if they think, 'Great! We've got to release a single!', but a lot of the time they think, 'Oh shit, we've got to release a single', whereas previously they were probably writing a single every day, but didn't know it. I think the thing is to keep your priorities in check, and if it means not releasing your single every two months then don't.

"I quite respect New Order, because they seem to have tried to do things their own way. Whether it's all a hype or not, like this 'We must go live on Top of the Pops' I don't know, but they seem to me as if they have anyway. Robert Smith I admire an awful lot, because he's been consistently good in whatever he's done, he's the sort of person that'll be still coming up with great stuff in ten years time.

"The Banshees, the Glove, the Cure, I think he's great. The thing is, about talent is I don't know... once you realize that you can't actually do anything, and stop trying to do it, the only thing left after talent is genius, that sounds arrogant, but I find that the times when I think that I can't do anything at all, are the times when I can do it best."

I must have looked slightly confused.

"You don't understand that, but if I... like in Dingwalls on Thursday night ( 7 June 1984 )! There was one song, Howards at Lunch , that I found myself really emotionally involved with for the first time since I wrote it, and I thought, 'Shit'. At that point, everyone seemed to be drawn towards me, and I looked around, and I heard somebody say, 'God, she's crying'. I thought, 'God, this must look really good,' and as soon as I thought that, the whole gig went downhill. Do you understand a little bit what I mean?"

As soon as you were consciously trying to act...

"That's it, yes. It wasn't acting at first, but as soon as I thought about it, it transformed into something else and I was acting it." Adele glances at the milk bottle. "I prefer those milk bottles with the adverts on actually," she says, and laughs.

What has it been like suddenly seeing yourself on television, and your name in the music papers?

Adele picks up a blue felt-tip pen and starts drawing on the milk bottle. "The first time we ever had any press, was in The Hot Press , ages ago, when we first started, and I was so thrilled that I ran down to the newsagents and bought six copies. I then ran to my mother where she was working in the family shop, and said 'Look, look, look, look at this!'. It was, like, a tiny little photo, and it said 'This is a photo of Indians in Moscow' or some such shit, and I was really thrilled with it. My mother said 'Oh, is that all?', and I was really knocked for six about that because I thought she'd be really pleased, but she wasn't.

"I've learnt that it's nice to see as little bit of you in the press, but the more it happens the more you can see it as just being anybody else, really. Do you know what I mean? I like it happening a lot, but until we have really massive features or anything like that, its very much neither here nor there because it's in there, but is it good? I don't know.

"The thing about journalists is that they all give their own opinions. I know its really interesting to see people slagging things off, but there should be an alternative music paper, in which the journalists should be anonymous, because then they could be objective, instead of which they're stating so-and-so's little clevernesses, and so-and-so's little quirks, because at the moment they're full of self-promotional shit, and a lot of them are failed musicians. I know, because I used to do radio journalism, and it was for the same reason. It was because I wanted to be in a band really, well... I didn't think about being in a band when I was there, but it was something like that vaguely nagging at the back of my mind, that's why I got interested in bands, because it just seemed to all come together. It's not about being a musician or anything really, it really isn't, that's the least important thing of all."

As I wind up the interview, Adele again looks at the milk bottle.

"That's much better" she says.

There, written in large friendly letters is the inscription 'Happy'.
