Recently sold my motor yacht using the team at Lymington Ancasta Brokerage. I’ve had an excellent experience from start to finish. Given the distance I live from Lymington, the team (James, Charles & Tracey), took great care to help with the presentation of the boat for photography and viewings. Ancasta facilitated a smooth selling process with great communication throughout and helped co-ordinate with Ropewalk (Volvo dealer) a few repairs which the survey highlighted needed doing. I wanted to give a huge thank you to the whole Ancasta Lymington team and in particular Tracey and Charles for their help and guidance during the purchase of our Beneteau Oceanis 373. Right from the start Tracey was so willing to accommodate us with timings and generously gave up so much time to answer all our questions and help with the start of the boat purchase, Tracey's knowledge shown through with aplomb. At all times I felt in friendly and helpful hands. During the negotiations Charles was incredibly helpful and professional in dealing with all parties involved and all of the intricacies involved. I was incredibly impressed by the Ancasta team during this time. Post our purchase of the yacht the Ancasta team yet again showed how very helpful they could be by assisting with contact details of all the required people and services required to move the boat to its new home. During this time we had to make some last minute changes and again the team showed how accommodating they could be in light of us being rather awkward. All in all the Ancasta team have demonstrated to me what truly brilliant customer service and focus looks like. They have set a new high bar for their professionalism and ability to help. I'm so very impressed with Charles, Tracey and the whole Ancasta team. I wanted to write to thank you for facilitating the sale of Loon A C on our behalf. I wanted to put on record that you and the team did a great job that exceeded our expectations. I found the process as seamless as possible when dealing with multiple parties, which made for a stress free environment, which surprised me! What I liked the most was that you did what you said you would do and when you said you said you would do it and importantly communicated with me every step of the way. I was not surprised with hidden or unexpected costs and the way you handled the negotiations and the associated style of the purchasers negotiations alongside my principles in regards to transactions were well considered and excellent. You kept the ship steady so to speak! Just a note to thank the team for their help in the purchase Jazz. This was not straight forward since although we had plenty of sailing experience we had little with powerboats. Additionally, the owner was in Birmingham and not able to assist with handover. Your team were excellent in sorting out the issues that we had with the boat and its controls. Broker Remarks

'Crystal' is a fast, successful 27ft racing yacht built by David Thomas, the designer of several iconic racing boats, including the Impala, Hunter 707, Sonata and the Sigma range. Her hull went on to be used in the very popular and successful Parker 27.

Crystal has had a substantial refit by her present owner. She comes with a full set of racing sails all in excellent condition. Her running rigging has all be replaced with Dynema sheets and halyards. Her Tacktick wind and depth instruments were new in 2021. Her Safety rails were replaced in 2021 to RORC standard. She had a new carbon rudder in 2021 along with a new Bowsprit in 2022.

She is powered by a Lombardini 13hp engine which has been regularly serviced. Crystal is fitted out with quality Harken deck gear throughout.

Crystal has a great track record winning the Royal Lymington Yacht club Late series twice and Early series once,but never being out of the top three in all of these events. She consistently finishes in the top 10% of the Round the Island race.

Accommodation

Crystal is in very much race mode and has a simple uncluttered interior. She has a heads with sea toilet and built in  stainless steel galley sink.

Built in 2015, Spirit R46 ‘Whisper of Lymington’ has been cruised and raced by her current owners for the last four years. A much-loved, family yacht, she has been well cared for and as a result is in excellent condition. Complete with racing sails, covers, safety equipment, and cruising essentials, this is a sail-away yacht.

At just over 14m long with a sleek underwater profile, she is the ideal yacht for fast-paced racing or coastal day-cruising. The most popular Spirit design to date, the Spirit R46 is a development of several years’ sailing and racing. With a displacement of only 4.3 tonnes, she is lightweight and easy to handle. She is a favoured choice for owners looking for a competitive racing yacht, a simply laid-out coastal cruiser, or elements of both.

WHISPER OF LYMINGTON AT A GLANCE

There is currently an active community of Spirit R46 racing yachts in the UK and in the Mediterranean, offering a ready made racing scene. The dimensions and displacement allow her to be easily and economically transported by road or by sea, which opens up cruising or regatta possibilities anywhere in the world.

Built to EURCD category A for winds in excess of F8 and wave height in excess of 4m.

As you go down the companionway steps, you will find a navigation station on the starboard side, opposite is the galley to port. Leading forward to the saloon area are bench sofas port and starboard long enough to be occasional berths. There is a central opening table between the sofas and storage lockers and shelves outboard.

Forward of the mast is the en-suite heads compartment with toilet to port and sink to starboard, leading to the V-berth in the bow. Aft of the navigation station is a large single berth.
