Baltimore Yacht Club Wedding | Tracy & Ryne

You might remember Tracy and Ryne from their engagement session this past spring, but I remember Tracy from going to high school with my little sister. So, naturally, I was THRILLED when Tracy and Ryne asked me to photograph their wedding, at the Baltimore Yacht Club, this fall. Tracy has an infectious smile and a super-sweet disposition and Ryne is about as welcoming and warm as they come. These two are truly a match made in heaven and it was such an honor to photograph their big day!

Laura and I started off at Tracy and Ryne’s home, where Tracy got ready with her girls, upstairs, and Ryne and his guys got all extra handsome, downstairs.

Once everyone was ready, we headed over to the Baltimore Yacht Club for a very sweet first look. These are always some of my favorite images

Hello, Gorgeous!

I just love these two images that Laura took of Tracy. Stunning.

Tracy and her girls finally had a moment all together! Ryne and his groomsmen were able to spend a little more time together before-hand, with Laura.

And then, it was time to get married!! The Baltimore Yacht Club has the perfect backdrop for a wedding.

Finally, Mr. & Mrs!!!

As it turns out, Ryne and Tracy own a boat! I was so excited when Tracy told me that they wanted some pictures on the boat… the light was perfect and these two are just too sweet!

Then, we headed down the pier for a few sweet photos of the newly-weds

The sun was getting pretty low, but we had just enough time for one more set up at the ceremony site before introductions. I’m so glad we were able to get these in!

Once inside, I was excited to see that Tracy and Ryne decided to have a “message in a bottle” where guests were able to leave little notes to the bride and groom to open on their anniversaries. Such a sweet idea!

The room was absolutely beautiful and all of Tracy and Ryne’s details came together perfectly.

Their first dance was too sweet!

After parent dances and cake cutting, it was time to party! And, Party they did!

Chelsea + Pete | Baltimore Yacht Club Wedding

This Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Chelsea and Pete’s beautiful wedding day. These two high school sweethearts were wed at Saint Ursula’s church and partied it up at the gorgeous Baltimore Yacht Club. From the perfect nautical palette of aqua and navy to all of the gorgeous nautical details at the reception, this one sure is a beauty. There are also so many beautiful moments that I can’t wait to take you through. Chelsea lost her mother a few years ago, but she was with them all day long. There were so many touching tributes from the butterfly release, to even the smallest details to keep her momma close at heart.

I started my day off with Chelsea and the girls at her dad’s house – when I got there the girls’ dresses were already hung up expertly on the back doorway! I love the bridesmaids’ dress color (who’s surprised?)

Chelsea and Pete are the second couple I know to wear new scents on their wedding day. It’s said that scent is the most powerful sense with its tie to memories. So wearing a new scent on your wedding day will attach that scent to the day! Every time you wear it from then on it should remind you of your wedding day. I love this idea, and I hope more couples pick it up!

Chelsea wore her mother’s anchor necklace on her wedding day, it was her mom’s Mother’s day gift her last Mother’s day. Chelsea always called her mom her anchor, and so the anchor theme carried on throughout the day in her honor. Pete even wore matching Anchor cufflinks, which you can see above.

Chelsea also had a locket with a photo of her and her mom that we attached to her bouquet to carry down the aisle.

Chelsea was so happy and calm all morning!

All of the moments with Chelsea and her daddy got me teary. This was no exception.

Meanwhile, at Pete’s house, Jen was there capturing the guys as they got ready.

And before heading to the church, I grabbed some shots of the beautiful ladies outside.

The ceremony at Saint Ursula was beautiful, and even more special as Pete’s Uncle Frank officiated their ceremony.

Woohoo! Just married!

This was such an energetic bridal party! I love it when they truly commit to the fun photos!

Thanks to the delightfully overcast day, we had pretty much free reign of the docks and had gorgeous light no matter where we turned. We could shoot anywhere and everywhere! And we did! There’s a bit of a portrait overload in this post, but #sorrynotsorry, they’re too gorgeous not to share!

She seriously made the most stunning bride.

How cute are these two? Love this!

Prior to entering the reception, Chelsea and Pete released butterflies in memory of Chelsea’s mom.

Inside the reception there were so many pretty details! It looked amazing.

Party time!

I just love this shot of Chelsea and her grandmother.

Chelsea and Pete shared a very sweet first dance.

The daddy-daughter dance made me cry. They started off with about 45 seconds of Daddy’s Little Girl, and then moved into an upbeat dance to “Say Hey” by Michael Franti. One of my favorite songs anyway, but this sweet dance had so many of us in tears. Her relationship with her dad is so special.

Pete and his mom danced to Blackbird by the Beatles.

They went all in for the cake cutting. And I mean ALL in.

And the bouquet/garter toss… well…

They blindfolded Mike, the best man, who happened to get the garter. What happened next was… a first for me. The lovely Ashley who caught the bouquet (AND got engaged the very next day, congratulations, lady!!!) was taken away and replaced by this… beautiful woman? man? WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!?

Chelsea and Pete, you guys had such a beautiful and FUN wedding day and I loved being a part of it and being able to capture all of these memories for you! I hope you’re having an amazing time in Mexico! Have a Margarita for me!

Erica & Ryan were married on a gorgeous day at the Baltimore Yacht Club in Baltimore, Maryland. Their wedding ceremony was on top of a huge hill that overlooked the Chesapeake Bay. Absolutely stunning! Before the ceremony, we did a first look and finished up all of the portraits. Erica’s Dad even docked his yacht for us so we could take some photos on it. Love! The reception was under a white tent and the sun set as the band Spectrum got the party started. And of course with such a beautiful sunset, I had to sneak Erica & Ryan away from the party for more photos on the yacht. These two were so easy going on their wedding day and I wish them a very happy and healthy future together!

HAVE A LOOK AROUND...

[Wedding] Fran & Joe – Baltimore Yacht Club

One of the coolest things about this wedding was that bridal prep took place right down the street from my parents’ place in Baltimore. This meant an extra 30 minutes of much needed sleep for yours truly (that’s having criss-crossed up and down the East coast for the better part of a month WITH a newborn in the house!). But aside from that, we loved all the details that went into Fran and Joe ‘s wedding: ring designs, bagpipes, flowers, stationery, pink socks…yes, I said pink socks (more on that later). And because I’ve known Joe for the better part of two decades, this wedding was especially touching to capture. It was amazing to watch this rambunctious trouble-maker grow up to become a well-groomed gentleman who was going to share a very much grown-up life with an equally beautiful young woman. Because our families had been so intertwined throughout the years, it wasn’t like photographing our usual clients’ weddings: it was more like coming over for a very fancy Thanksgiving dinner with family, and I just happened to have my fancy cameras with me :).

It takes a truly manly-man to carry off pink…and that’s why they’re all wearing ’em :).

I nearly devoured this entire candy table. Goodness gracious.

Maybe it’s the lack of sleep, or hormones, but I was practically bawling my eyes out during speeches!

We took a brief pause this weekend from our regular posting schedule due to the events that took place in CT. Aside from the fact that our eyes were glued to all the news surrounding the events, our hearts simply weren’t all there to post up all these happy moments. Our sincere thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims, their families and friends. It’s a brief reminder that we shouldn’t just celebrate our love for one another on special dates such as weddings, birthdays and holidays – but we should be celebrating our love with our closest friends and family, every single day of our lives.

On that note, we look forward to sharing much more love with you guys this week :).

The Eastern Yacht Club, established in 1956, is located at the mouth of Middle River just off the Chesapeake Bay in Baltimore County, Maryland.   There are 20 spacious acres at our club with plenty of parking and slips to accommodate 72 boats. ​

Our club house facilities can host parties,weddings and events for up to 200 guests.

Our members and their guests enjoy exclusive use of the “Tiki Bar” as well as a private beach which is complete with tables and umbrellas.

Parking for slip holders is located adjacent to the piers and beach area.   We have a Gazebo near the water’s edge where we hold wedding ceremonies. EYC partners with multiple caterer available to help plan the menu for weddings and other affairs at EYC.
