Best Assault Rifles in Ghost Recon Breakpoint
I’m going to show you a list of 5 best assault rifles in Ghost Recon Breakpoint. And most importantly, how to get them. But it’s very important to point out what makes an assault rifle a good choice. Assault rifles in Ghost Recon Breakpoint are supposed to be the middle ground between SMGs and Sniper rifles. This means it needs to have more damage than SMGs, but less range than Sniper rifles.
But how can I speak for everyone saying which ARs are best? That’s not up to me to decide, right? With that in mind, I decided to pick an all-rounder AR and use it as a reference. And my choice was the 416. I could've chosen the 516 as well, but I think the 416 is a better pick for comparisons.
1- 805 Bren
805 Bren - The new all-rounder
The 805 Bren would sit next to the 416 in terms of what it’s good for. It can do well in every situation. It’s good for long-range and short-range. Has very good accuracy as well as good damage. But It has something that makes it better than the 416. Its handling. Even though the stats say it’s not very accurate, It’s one of the best in accuracy, plus it’s easy to control. These two characteristics make this AR a great companion in the battle.

ARX200 - A DMR in disguise
This one has a combo of good accuracy and range. And if you take a look at its stats, you’ll see that it has great damage. 36 damage compared to just 27 of the 416. This makes the ARX200 a substitute for a DMR. You can use it for those long, but not too long, ranges with the single-shot mode, then change it to automatic when you get closer to your enemies .

G2 Assault Rifle - Shoots faster than you blink
The G2 could easily be the weapon with the highest DPS (damage per second), if it wasn’t for its reload time of 3.50 seconds. But it still has the highest rate of fire in the class. 980 bullets per minute. That’s insane for an AR. This kind of BPM is only seen in SMGs. The graphics suggest that the G2 is better in range, recoil and accuracy than the 416. But out of the paper, it doesn’t seem like it. Still, this AR is for sure between the best in the game.

4- MK.17 Assault
Mk.17 Assault Variant - What was good got even better
Take a look at the stats of this gun down below. You’re not seeing things, it has 42 damage. That’s the highest damage in the assault rifle class. The damage combined with its long-range capability makes this assault rifle a Full Auto DMR. It can take on those far distances the 416 cannot. You know those tough enemies that, after they detect you, take more bullets to be killed? This weapon is perfect against those soldiers. The MK17 Assault, or Scar as I like to call it, has a low rate of fire. But I don’t see it as a problem as many people do. The low bullets per minute help me shoot for longer periods, which is good for readjusting my aim. If I miss some shots, the next ones can easily be addressed to the head.

I know you’re probably broke right now, but to get this one you’ll have to buy it at Maria's shop.
Tavor Assault Rifle - You won't miss the toilet seat
I know 20 damage for an AR is pretty low. But if you multiply 20 by 30, which is the number of bullets in the magazine, it’s pretty high, isn’t it? With this assault rifle, you will make every shot count. I haven’t put my hands on a gun more accurate than this one. And it’s not just the accuracy, its recoil is practically non-existent. Bullets will spread eventually, but the spread area is small. Just keep your aim to the center of your enemy body and hold the trigger.
Don’t try to spray your opponent from too far though, as the enemy soldier will be smaller than your spread area. If it wasn't for the lack of range effectiveness, the Tavor would be the jack of all trades in Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

Bonus- 416 Assault Special
The king of Burst-Fire. I don’t see people using burst-fire in Ghost Recon Breakpoint very often. The truth is, burst-fire mode sucks. But recently I’ve tried the 416 Assault Special variant, which is only available on burst or single-mode. Looks cool. And it’s pretty accurate. It also has more damage than the standard 416. Its burst of 3 bullets will land at the same spot, different from every other burst-fire weapon I've tried.

However, I still think the best ASR in the game is the standard M4A1. Accurate, low recoil, good range, sounds great even suppressed, one of the few assault rifles that can use both the 100-round mag and under-barrel grenade launcher. No contest.
I love the G2, it's like a laser. Get it with +Accuracy/Range and max ASR Mastery. In your charts, the G2 is better or equal in every category over the 416. The other weapons are mostly worse.

What guns are in Ghost Recon Breakpoint? As you'd expect from Ghost Recon, there are a lot of 'em. Ghost Recon games have always been about crafting tactical loadouts, cobbling together your best kit, and swapping out weapons to handle a variety of military operations. That's still true in Breakpoint.
This invariably leads to a bumper backpack full of guns, and a lot of time spent deciding what to take into combat. How Ghost Recon: Breakpoint weapon customization works
As well as a number of weapons to use, each will be customizable per part via the gunsmith system in Breakpoint, which allows you to swap out muzzles, rails, under barrels, and more.
You can also paint your guns in different colors to truly make your loadout unique with the per-part aesthetic customization system in the game. Players have two slots for regular two-handed weapons and a sidearm slot to fill.
Now here's each gun type, and the four Ghost Recon Breakpoint classes they suit best.
The bread and butter of Breakpoint, assault rifles are a popular choice across all classes. But naturally, they lend themselves to the aptly-named Assault class. Assault players receive recoil reduction and gain proficiency with ARs, so it’s a no-brainer to pick out a good one with which to mow through the Wolves.

If you’re looking for some heavy weapons in Breakpoint, you can’t go wrong with an LMG. High power, tremendous recoil and limited mobility are the perks here. Consider spreading their use across other tank-focused classes like Assault and Field Medic.

Nimble and powerful, submachine guns should be the weapon of choice for those who love to spray and pray. They still require tactical thinking though: SMGs suit the Panther class well, the stealthy member of the team who boasts a cloaking ability. Crucially they can disable the reduced damage hit of suppressors on handguns and submachine guns. This way you can skulk in the darkness with an SMG and pick Wolves off with ease.

Handguns should be used across all classes and are quite useful when you’ve run out of your ammo for your primary weapon. Choose wisely as to whether you want a semi-automatic quick-firing pistol or something devastating but slow like the Desert Eagle.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint's best guns are pretty varied, and with a lot of guns to choose from, it's worth knowing your pea-shooters from your power-beams. Not to mention that all the looter-shooter mechanics can make things a little more confusing on top of that - so how to tell the best Ghost Recon Breakpoint guns from each other? It's not easy because of how many guns there are in the game, so we're here to fill you in on what you need to know. From working out which gun is most suitable for you to some of our best Ghost Recon Breakpoint guns, we've got it all covered in our guide below.
How to choose the best Ghost Recon Breakpoint guns
It's easy to build a comparable loadout with almost anything you can find while looting, so don't worry if you're using a less-than-ideal weapon. Cater your weapons to your playstyle. If you prefer to lay down cover fire to help your squad escape? Grab that light machine gun. Looking for the ultimate close quarters combat setup? Pick up a couple of submachine guns.
I prefer to have a diversified set of cannons, including one assault rifle or submachine gun alongside a sniper rifle that can handle long distances. Grenades help me with any tricky situations the first two don't cover.
Finding guns in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is simple; you'll come across them in chests and on the bodies of slain enemies. You can craft weapons once you find their specific blueprint, either from side missions or intel you find from strangers and electronics scattered across the map. Bear in mind that you can hold two primary weapons at a time alongside one pistol.
The TAC50 is a great rifle to use while scouting around an enemy base, marking enemies and locations of interest before heading into a battle. It's powerful enough to level an enemy soldier with a single shot, even when suppressed, and it's got incredible range. It's perfect for solo playthroughs too as you can clear part of a base without even stepping inside. Make sure to have something suitable for close range if you go with this one, though.
The SC-20K is perfect for a fast moving commando who prefers to methodically infiltrate a compound room by room. You can hug corners quickly and take out anyone you find instantaneously. It has a bit of recoil but nothing you can't handle, and the spray is deadly. It also has a healthy cartridge size when you first pick it up but like every other weapon, I use a suppressor with it. Stealth is crucial.
The TAVOR is all about stability, close-to-medium range shots with a steady hand. It has little-to-no recoil, works perfect with a laser sight, and has great firepower. This is the gun that has felt the best with the Breakpoint camera changes that have you go from third to first person whenever you look down your sights. It's gotten me out of most of my close shave gunfights.
The G28 is a great mid range weapon, perfect for surrounding an outlet of enemies with your squad, marking your target, and taking them out from a safe distance. It can hold its own at distance, but is perfect for hunkering down inside a two story office building as waves of enemies approach your position.
The AK47 is well-known for a reason and it's just as reliable in Breakpoint as you'll find in other game. You can find the AK47 blueprint in the Behemoth Defense Area and from random points of intel you may find during missions.
All guns in Breakpoint are viable in both multiplayer and singleplayer. If some element of a weapon is lacking, like the recoil or mobility, then you can work to improve that with the gunsmith. Apply stat boosts, add better equipment, and increase the overall level of your weapon. You'll also find different versions of the same weapon with better stats, so be sure to upgrade when you can.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint: The Best Guns

Finding the best partner to take with you in Ghost Recon Breakpoint is going to vary. You’re going to want someone to complement how sneaky you are, or you’re going to want a good friend to join you in the madness you can engage in with the AI and crazy mechanics. However, no matter if you’re playing by yourself or with friends, you’re going to want a good weapon. There are a variety of weapons available to you and your teammates. Here are some of the best guns in each category.
The Best Guns in Ghost Recon Breakpoint
What an excellent weapon. You’re going to be hard-pressed to find a suitable main gun in the game. Overall, you’re going to find the demonstration and balance between damage and range pretty great. While you’re firing it, your character is going to handle it pretty well, and you’re going to remain stable on the sights of your enemy. You certainly want to this in your back pocket to fight your enemies when they start getting close.
Do you want to keep your distance? The AUG is going to be your optimal choice, though you’re going to find reloading it slightly troublesome. If you can use a perk or a passive to make up for it, you shouldn’t find it too much of an issue. You’re going to place a suppressor on the weapon and ensure no enemy hears you taking them out from afar in a small number of hits.
Now, with a DMR, you want to do some decent damage. However, the big goal of it is to make sure you can follow up on your initial shot with something equally powerful, especially if you don’t land the headshot. To make sure your second shot takes them down, the G28 is going to be your ideal back-up. You’re going to make sure you have this on you back and taking out anyone still standing from your first.
For those who want to get a little closer to their enemies rather than be halfway across the map, the MK14 is your ideal option. You’re not going to have the best distance compared to the other choices, but you’re going to have plenty of power available to you. Plus, if you’re on your last shot, you’re not going to spend too much reloading your weapon.
If you’re wandering around the middle of a base, not knowing when the next enemy is about to pop-up around the corner, you need a reliable sidearm. You don’t want to risk too much noise, and you want to make sure the first shot you make is going to stick. The F40 is your best friend. You can do plenty of damage if your other weapons need to go away and need reloading, and you can clear foes walking in front of you a short distance, no problem.
For those who know they’re only going to use this weapon exclusive in close-range situations, you want the P45T. Unfortunately, you can’t rely on it for its distance. You’re going to want to use it when you know where the enemy is around the corner. However, it’s going to deal plenty of damage, and you can control the bullet’s trajectory exceptionally well.
Light Machine Guns
If you can reliably keep your LMG in its sight, you want to use this weapon. However, if you doubt you can control how well you can keep it under control, you may want to choose another option. The CTMMG is going to have a superb amount of damage, and you’re going to find it extremely easy to travel with when you’re moving, but you might not like the weapon’s sway.
Do you have about four enemies coming after you in a warehouse? Pulling out the MK48 and mowing them down is going to serve you wonders as you eliminate them again and again. Not every player is going to like using it, though, the weapon’s spread is pretty wide and unreliable.
Shotguns are tricky beasts. You don’t know if you want to remain quiet or cause every bit of destruction as you can before you leave an enemy’s sight. If you’re interested in staying in close to make sure your enemies remember your name, the M4 is your reliable choice. You won’t move as quickly to other shotguns with it, but the power you’re about to deal is going to make up for every step you take.
Do you like to avoid the pump-action designs? Having a semi-automatic shotgun is where it’s at in the world where you have to take out five enemies running at you one after another. Don’t leave home without this weapon if you’re going to dive headfirst into the enemy.
Hti | survival.
Want to make your enemies wonder where you’re at and keep them guessing? Keep your distance with the HTI | Survival model, and make sure they keep asking questions. However, even if you miss the headshot, you’re going to tear through their armor and destroy whatever they have protecting them. Again, you’re going to spend a hot second reloading this weapon, so make sure they don’t know where you are on the map.
So, you’re good with headshots? You want to remain mobile and chance positions at a steady pace? The L115A3 is going to make sure you can reload quick enough to take out someone before they tell their allies your position, and you’re going to remain mobile enough to continue causing problems. You might not have the best stopping power in the world, but you can keep your enemies guessing.
Keep close to your enemy and make sure they’re full of bullets. The P90 cannot give you a better experience of a submachine gun, but you’re going to want to make sure you stay close to your foes. They’re going to remain agile as always, and if you miss with this weapon, you’re going to regret it. Keep your aim on point because it’s quite easy to miss.
You’re not going to penetrate the armor of the heavy tanks, vehicles, and otherwise heavily-armored foes, but you’re going to destroy those you hit on-point. The UMP is a reliable submachine. You can always lean back on if you want a standard choice to support your primary option.

For players making their way through the battlefields of the wild in Ghost Recon: Wildlands , a trusted weapon should be the first thing you're trying to obtain. If you hold a weapon that you're not comfortable with it becomes little more than a walking giveaway for the enemy. With plenty of weapons to choose from, players will get to customize their playstyle around the weapon of choice.
Assault Rifles belong to the middle ground with some wiggle room in between. Sporting the widest variety of attachments, Assault rifles become the most adaptable weapon in the game. Being the in-between is always beneficial as you can fall into surrounding roles with little adjustment. For that, players require only the best the game has to offer.
The AUG assault rifle lends it's all-around high stats to any situation players may find themselves in. Good damage will mount up and with the consistent aim you receive throughout a burst, it won't be hard to nail down an enemy once the scope is on the target.
Used mostly as a mid-range weapon, it has range capabilities that can give you reliable performance at the back of the squad. Luckily, the search for this versatile weapon doesn't take you down a rabbit hole. In fact, you can get it with relative ease, in the Barvechos province you'll find it hidden in a weapons case along the border.
As far as magazines go, the 556xi supports an impressive range all leading up to the 50 round drum that can be purchased in La Cruz. Good luck to any enemy that has to wait out the relentless onslaught that can be delivered at a steady pace.

Combined with the great damage at range and you can spray bullets so far away the enemy has a hard time returning fire. Los Hombres Jaguares is where you'll find it, right in the middle of a human hunting camp. It's not always easy pickings when it comes to high powered weapons.
8 ACR Assault Rifle
The hint is in the name, adaptable. Sometimes the best thing about a gun is it's lack of negatives, meaning you can trust it at every point combat. Even the picky player will struggle to find a flaw in the weapon, as it can attach almost every accessory available and can be tampered with to no end.
Once the player has it, it's common to stick with the gun until the end. Although getting your hands on it is the hard part, as it's protected by an enemy outpost that the weapon happens to be right beside. That means you'll have to take out the whole squad before claiming the prize.
Acting as a 2 for 1 drop, the location of the MK17 is an armory with another highly coveted weapon. If that isn't enough to entice you, the MK17 deals a massive amount of damage per hit. That balances the scales considering its fire rate is quite low.

Now considering the combo deal you get if you plan on entering the armory, it comes as no shock that players can't just stroll on by. A well-guarded area that comes with its fair few risks, it might be a wise move to scout the defense before you jump into battle.
For the renegades among us who like to be dead center in the middle of the action, The Tar 21 provides a rate of fire that put most other guns to shame. reactions are key to getting the most out of its capabilities as you will hit first and fast.
The stability also plays a big part in its accuracy at close range. The recoil of the rapid-fire shots barely moves the crossfire, leaving you to hold down the trigger. At long range, things tend to get a little blurry so if you like hanging out in the background, it's not for you.
Though the G2 isn't an underpowered weapon by any means, the speed at which it fires bullets it wouldn't matter anyway. As long as you have a steady hand and keep the end of your gun pointed at the target, it's pretty hard to not put the enemy down.
Close range is where players will likely have the most success, before the enemy has a chance to react, the trigger has been pulled. This also gives players a high level of confidence jumping into a firefight situation, preventing the usual jumpy gameplay when entering tight spaces.
One of the weaker damage dealers of the bunch, the P416 is mainly a stealth weapon that can be used even in the most delicate situations. Its high noise suppression makes it barely detectable, especially amongst environmental noise or other gunfire.
Night missions are where you'll really notice the difference. Unsuspecting enemies will aid the underpowered rifle by giving up vulnerable positions and handing players a great shot. Make sure to pick the shot carefully, even the quietest gun will be detected on a miss.
The real test of a gun is how consistent it can pull off its job in great fashion. While the G36c doesn't look like a superstar on paper, you'll find it catches out a lot of impressive weapons with its ability to outperform in the weak spots.

This is only accentuated by the range of attachments that can take the gun to the next level. Burst shots are always going to be an advantage, especially when you're dealing with an especially tricky enemy that only gives you a small opening to get the job done.
Rate of fire is an overlooked aspect when players consider a weapon, it's all about damage output and accuracy. Both those things are obviously critical, but if you aren't a hawkeye and occasionally have to reply on a few shots to take an enemy down then the rate of fire moves into the top spots.
Even being a team player has a major impact because if you have to suppress fire from a group, a speedy reload is a near requirement. Not that the SR3M slacks in other aspects because it has a good all-around stat list but as far as speed goes, this gun reigns supreme.
The ultimate symbol of stealth has been a sniper for many years, though the soldiers who get in at close range often need silence as well. The R5 RGP offers you the highest damage rate when you throw a suppressor on it. This means you're not only dealing big damage but getting caught also becomes less likely.
When you're tucked into a tight urban situation, giving away position by firing can cause a slow road ahead as you constantly maneuver the enemy. The stealth protection is great, but the fewer shots the better and with high damage, it won't take many.
