First Look Inside Palumbo's First Extra Alloy 130 L.A.U.L

Palumbo has released first-look images of the first Extra 130 Alloy motor yacht  L.A.U.L. , after the yacht made its debut at the  Monaco Yacht Show  last month.

It follows the launch of the yacht, which took place on September 4 at the yard's Savona shipyard in Italy.

Designed inside and out by  Francesco Guida ,  L.A.U.L  features naval architecture by  Studio Rogantin  in collaboration with Palumbo Superyachts.

The yacht's profile contrasts white fibreglass and aluminium surfaces with dark windows, while her interiors are designed to optimise space and better connect guests to the sea.

An al fresco dining area can be found on the upper deck, complete with TV, bar, a sofa and chaise-lounge as well as a large sunbathing zone.

The main deck forward is equipped with a swimming pool and sunbathing area as well as a relaxation zone with a c-shaped sofa. Inside, her main saloon features floor-to-ceiling windows offering sea views.

She can accommodate up to ten guests in five en suite cabins, comprising a full-beam master cabin on the main deck, two doubles a VIP and a twin. The crew area can sleep up to six staff in four cabins.

Moving aft, a hydraulic retractable mechanism allows the transom to open, revealing the large garage housing a 5.36 metre tender and a Jet Ski.

Power comes from two 1800hp CAT engines offering a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 15.5 knots. When trimmed back to 12 knots she has a range of over 3000 nautical miles.

L.A.U.L.  is the third Extra to hit the water this year after the Extra 86 Fast  Mini K  and the Extra 93  Ohanna .

Also under construction at Extra Yachts are two new Extra 86 superyachts, both of which are for sale and scheduled for delivery in 2020.

Key features onboard include a flybridge model which I feel is a must with a private sundeck area, tender garage that houses a substantial tender + full size jet ski and additional room for storage of water sports toys, bow lounge area complete with sitting area and jacuzzi. The main deck has a traditional layout with salon area, formal dining, galley and day head. But the upper deck is where it gets really creative with not just your sky lounge arrangement possible but we have seen one owner create a full second galley upstairs. There is a service pantry area that can be customized as the buyer sees fit with a drop down partition which can open up to a lounge area or dining space or combination of both. A pretty unique area especially when you open up the sliding doors to combine the exterior & interior spaces into one.

Designed by Francesco Guida in collaboration with Rogantin Studio for the Naval Architecture, Extra X130 TRIPLEX is the flagship of Extra Yachts' creative range.

A hydraulic mechanism enables the opening of a portion of the stern for launching/hauling the 5.36 meter tender and the jet ski stored in the garage. Extra X130 TRIPLEX provides also the option of installing an efficient photovoltaic system to make profitable use of free solar energy. At the bow, the versatile C-shaped sofa can also transform into a large sun pad suitably provided with two up/down tables and a hot tub for maximum comfort and privacy.

Outdoor, the upper deck boasts a dining area with TV, bar, large sofa and chaise-lounge as well as a large sunbathing area and several seating facilities.

Indoor, the upper salon houses a comfortable living room dominated by a giant screen. Stepping on the main deck, a large C-shaped sofa furnishes the sheltered area before the glass door leading to the large salon fit ted with a bar, a leather sofa with chaise-lounge, armchair and small tables. An extendable round table seating up to 12 people together with a designer chandelier put the final touch to the living area.

The great indoor areas ware designed to provide just as much roomy and comfortable space to facilitate guest entertainment of to share a breathtaking ocean view from the large panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows of the main salon. At bow, the full-beam master stateroom takes center-stage. To ensure maximum privacy, the bedroom entrance is preceded by an anteroom conveniently arranged as a study with a sofa, a desk with armchair and a floor lap. The sizable walk-in closet is equipped with a vanity set with seat. The floors are made of laminated glass with Nya Nordiska decorative fabric interlayer. The bathroom, appropriately equipped with a double sink and a large shower in the center, is cladded with white-grey marble. 

The lower deck comprises four cabins including one VIP, one twin and two double guest rooms, all with private bathrooms. On the lower deck, adequate sound insulation has been provided between the four crew cabins and the guest cabins in order to guarantee maximum privacy and comfort. A noteworthy feature is the internal staircase cladded with 'silver shine' slate stone. 

The highly technological helm station equipped with all the latest navigational instruments, gives excellent visibility and total control. Extra X130 TRIPLEX has aluminum hull and superstructure and is equipped with two 1800 hp CAT engines reaching a top speed of 17 knots, a cruising speed of 15.5 knots and a range of over 3,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.

The new EXTRA 130’ Alloy motor yacht renamed “L.A.U.L.” was launched today at the Palumbo Superyachts shipyard in Savona.

Measuring 40 metres in length and built in just 15 months from signing the contract with a European ship owner, L.A.U.L. is the flagship of the EXTRA Yachts line and is the third to take to the water this year after the EXTRA 86’ Fast “Mini K” and the EXTRA 93’ “Ohanna”.

The EXTRA line was developed in 2018 with its first 76-foot model immediately meeting great success at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2018 where it was unveiled. Today, the EXTRA range comprises the following models: 76, 86, 86 Fast, 93, 120 Alloy and 130 Alloy.

EXTRA owners are always looking for strong emotions to live in full contact with the sea, both during navigation and at anchor. Obviously, the maximum comfort is guaranteed by the very large internal and external volumes stemming from the creative talent of Francesco Guida.

The naval architecture of L.A.U.L. is by Studio Rogantin in collaboration with the technical department of Palumbo Superyachts.

“2019 has been an extremely significant year for the EXTRA range, with the delivery of three new models and the consolidation of the brand on the market” states Giuseppe Palumbo, Managing Director of Palumbo Superyachts. “The launch of EXTRA 130 Alloy L.A.U.L. in Savona fills me with pride because, in less than a year from the acquisition of the yard, we’ve managed to build a new-generation 40-metre boat and implement a robust activity related to the refit and maintenance of dozens of superyachts from 24 to 60 metres with a great economic impact on the local economy. We have integrated the workers, we have respected every single condition for winning the tender and our long-term strategy involves further investments on the site.”.

EXTRA Yachts has also under construction and for sale two new EXTRA 86 with scheduled delivery in 2020.

The new EXTRA models will be presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival (EX 86 Fast and EX 93), the Monaco Yacht Show (EX 130 Alloy) and the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (EX 86 Fast).

EXTRA 130 Alloy is a superyacht that does not go unnoticed also thanks to its 40 metre length and 8.4 metre width enclosing an interior volume of 390 GT. The great indoor areas ware designed to provide just as much roomy and comfortable space to facilitate guest entertainment of to share a breathtaking ocean view from the large panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows of the main salon. At bow, the full-beam master stateroom takes center-stage. To ensure maximum privacy, the bedroom entrance is preceded by an anteroom conveniently arranged as a study with a sofa, a desk with armchair and a floor lap. The sizable walk-in closet is equipped with a vanity set with seat. The floors are made of laminated glass with Nya Nordiska decorative fabric interlayer. The bathroom, appropriately equipped with a double sink and a large shower in the center, is cladded with white-grey marble. 

The lower deck comprises four cabins including one VIP, one twin and two double guest rooms, all with private bathrooms. On the lower deck, adequate sound insulation has been provided between the four crew cabins and the guest cabins in order to guarantee maximum privacy and comfort. A noteworthy feature is the internal staircase cladded with 'silver shine' slate stone. 

The highly technological helm station equipped with all the latest navigational instruments, gives excellent visibility and total control. Extra X130 TRIPLEX has aluminum hull and superstructure and is equipped with two 1800 hp CAT engines reaching a top speed of 17 knots, a cruising speed of 15.5 knots and a range of over 3,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.

The Extra 130 is a full-aluminum yacht designed by Francesco Guida. One unit has been sold (at time of this publication) and will be presented at the Monaco Yacht Show at the end of September 2019.

The upper deck offers an outdoor dining area with TV, bar, a large sofa, and chaise-lounge as well as a large sunbathing area and several seats.

The Extra 130 offers overnight space for up to twelve people in five cabins. Moreover, crew accommodation for up to seven people. The master suite is located on the main deck at the forward section. Three double cabins and one twin bed cabin are on the lower deck. The crew area contains four cabins and a mess.

The spacious main deck is home to an on-deck master suite located forward with his-and-hers bathrooms adjoined by a shower. This space features a king-size bed, a walk-in closet, a hanging locker and a space for a sofa or settee as well as two dressers. Aft of the master suite on the main deck is a dayhead and the galley. Further aft is the indoor formal dining room and finally the comfortable and spacious main deck salon. This entire deck is flanked by windows that allow in natural light and provide exceptional views. Moving outdoors on the main deck, guests can enjoy alfresco dining with a large table for 10. This space also is outfitted by a full bar. Here a staircase leads up to the bridge deck aft and two additional staircases lead down to the yacht’s swim platform, which is an excellent place for seaside sunbathing or launching water toys.

Bridge Deck

The bridge deck aft is the ideal space for carrying tenders and toys. Further forward is a covered lounge. Moving inside the yacht, guests can enjoy the skylounge, which features comfortable seating, a full bar, an electric fireplace and a dayhead. The bridge is located forward inside. Outside forward is a space perfect for lounging on sunloungers. The sundeck of the Westport 130 yacht for sale is outfitted with a large alfresco dining table, a full wet bar, sunloungers, and a Jacuzzi flanked by sunpads.
