OUR CLIENTS SAY IT BEST

We had a birthday party onboard the Regency tonight. The entire crew were amazing. Francini was our director and made sure everything was set up and all of our needs were met. She was very kind, made sure everyone had a good time. She made herself available to all of our guests through the entire cruise.
What can I say except that this company provides excellence in everything that they do! I rarely find such genuine care and comfort from the beginning of the process to the end – I felt very taken care of and valued. In addition, the party was better than I expected! The service was amazing, the food was outstanding – I am still getting comments even months after – my guests are still telling me what a great time they had and asking when are we going to do it again! All of my guests (and me too) loved cruising into the sunset with cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres on the sky deck, dining at dusk with the great cafe lighting that Asdruval Party Rentals provided and then dancing the night away to awesome music by Brad at Rhythm City!
My cousins rented a Yacht for my Aunt’s 70th birthday party. We launched from Marina Del Ray and the boat did a loop around the marina for 5 hours. It goes by pretty fast especially since you’ll be enjoying dinner, entertainment, and when available, the open bar. The staff were amazing and the bartender kept up with all the orders with no hiccup. Years ago, my other cousin had a reception on another type of Yacht for their wedding reception. Maybe one day I’ll throw something on a Yacht and invite my closest friends. I think this is a better way to throw a special party than the usual land locked location.
I had my 50th birthday party on October 27th 2017. Erin was my party planner she made sure everything ran smoothly I had no worries. The decorations were beautiful I had a gatsby-themed party. I wish I could name everyone who helped on the yacht. I had 130 guess on the DANDEANA yacht all my guests were attended to no problems. The food was delicious the drinks were great the service was fabulous. This is my second yacht charter with this company and they never seem to fail me. Thank you everyone who helped for me to have a grand 50th birthday even the ones behind the scenes, I appreciate you all I’ll see you at my next event thank you everyone. Captain was great; thank you Jeffrey for greeting everyone. The casino on board was perfect, my band was great, my DJ was great. Thanks again I will never forget this day.
We held my Mom’s 70th birthday here on 1028 and we had an amazing time. The boat was gorgeous, very clean, modern and elegant. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful. Our planner, Erin, was very helpful. She was flexible and accommodated all of my needs, and gave great advice given her experience. I would absolutely recommend this boat for any of your parties.
Fantasea hosted my mother’s ash scattering at sea earlier today and I could not have been happier with the results. The food and service were excellent! Kudos to Jasmine, Erin, Capt Luis, Capt Carlos, Mariano, Julio, Wilson and Francini for their wonderful team work! I highly recommend Fantasea!

FantaSea is the premier provider of yacht charters and rentals in Southern California. We’re ideal for weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, yacht parties, and all celebrations!

Browse our range of power boats, yachts, sail boats and more, all available online—with the ability to book a personal showing just one simple click away. We look forward to working with you.

Santa Barbara, with its wonderful climate and beautiful mountain vistas, is often called the Mediterranean of the California coast. The city wharf to the northeast and Leadbetter beach to the west borders the harbor. There are over 1100 slips that range in size from 20-110’. There is still an active fishing fleet in the harbor with over 75 commercially licensed vessels plying the waters of the Santa Barbara Channel.

Santa Barbara marina

Speaking of the channel, Santa Barbara is just a short trip from the famous Channel Islands National Park, which consists of Anacapa, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa and San Miguel Islands. If you like free diving, kayaking and just plain old “gunkholing” then these island coves are a perfect place to explore. For the more adventurous, Catalina Island is 90 miles away to the Southeast. 50 miles to the west and north is Point Conception, listed as one of the seven most formidable capes in the world.

Closer to home, The Santa Barbara Yacht Club holds “Wet Wednesday” races 9 months out of the year as well as several club cruises to the Channel Islands and Catalina. There is a youth sailing program and of course, there is terrific surfing right off the breakwater and Leadbetter beach.

The harbor is located just a short walk from State Street, the main shopping district of beautiful downtown Santa Barbara. If you want to sightsee, you can catch a bus right in the harbor that will take you up State Street to the famous Santa Barbara Mission. There are plenty of stops along the way so you can explore the town as well.

Just like you, we appreciate Santa Barbara for its wonderful climate and beautiful mountain vistas. Bordered by the City Wharf to the East and Leadbetter Beach to the West, the harbor has over one thousand slips that range in size from 20-110 feet. It is an exciting and rewarding place to be a boater, and that’s why we are honored to be the biggest and best boat broker for Santa Barbara.

For over two decades, Seacoast Yachts has helped connect buyers and sellers, including thousands of boaters in Santa Barbara. If you see it out on the water, whether it’s near the famous Channel Islands National Park, beautiful Catalina Island, or the formidable Point Conception, there’s a good chance that we helped get it there. In fact, we are the only brokerage that maintains local representation in all of the major Southern California harbors, including Los Angeles and San Diego. We look forward to making you our next success story!

Our crew, which includes retired Coast Guard captains, ex-Marines, and experienced competitive fishermen, each have over twenty years of experience helping broker the sales of almost every type of watercraft. If it floats, we know all about it, and that unrivaled depth and breadth of experience and knowledge are ready to be put to service for you. If you’re looking for a Santa Barbara Boat Broker, count on us to help you complete your sale as quickly and easily as possible. More than brokers, we are master marketers, and we’ll videotape, photograph, and help you list your boat so that it attracts the most eligible buyers. In fact, we’ve even used video drones to help our sellers showcase their boats in the best possible manner. What’s more, our exclusive pricing database can help you determine the listing price for your boat that will attract the most buyers. Thanks for visiting Seacoast Yachts, the #1 Santa Barbara boat broker.

Let’s get off the shore—and on the water!

Area Overview

Santa Barbara Harbor is one of the most picturesque boating locations in Southern California. Built in 1929, this 1139-slip harbor has become a popular destination for recreational boaters, fishermen and tourists alike. Here you will find world-class yachts, commercial fishing boats and pleasure craft side-by-side. The harbor, Stearns Wharf and nearby State Street provide visitors with a wide variety of services and recreational activities including fine restaurants, wine tasting, gift shops, whale watching, cruises and marine supplies, just to name a few.

Be sure to walk along Santa Barbara’s scenic waterfront to Stearns Wharf, a short distance from the harbor. Built in 1872, it is California’s oldest working wooden wharf and offers spectacular views of the famous “Santa Barbara Riviera.” Extending inland from the wharf is State Street. Within easy walking distance, this area is renowned for its shopping and nightlife, and is also home to several historic sites.

Bruce Kessler Obituary

Bruce Kessler, an international racing driver, Hollywood film and television director, innovative boat designer and global circumnavigator, died April 4 at his home in Marina del Rey, California, after a brief illness. He was 88.Beginning in 1953, when he was 17, with the help of a fake ID, he earned the nickname “Little Lead Foot” racing illegally as an amateur, soon advancing to the top ranks of drivers in a variety of sports and formula cars in California before turning professional and drivingand often winning or setting track recordsat major road-racing venues across the United States. At 21, in 1957, he began working in Europe as test driver before co-driving for Ferrari the following year with fellow American Dan Gurney in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where, in the dark of night, in the rain, he crashed into the wreckage of another car, escaping death by bailing out of his before it burst into flames. After surviving two more crashes in the following years, he retired from racing at 26 in 1962. That year he directed his first film, “The Sound of Speed,” a 19-minute short subject that earned its place as the United States entry in its category at the Cannes International Film Festival. Without dialogue, with only the sound of the engine, and with the camera mounted on the car for many shots to show the driver’s point of viewa technique he invented that was later adopted by countless other directors”The Sound of Speed” portrayed the intense drama of the testing of a Formula 1 racecar, the Scarab, on the track at Riverside Raceway. In the film the car is driven by his friend Lance Reventlow, collaborator with Kessler and a team of designers, engineers and mechanics to build and race it. This pathbreaking short film led to his being hired as a technical adviser on racing and chase sequences for Hollywood action movies, then as a script supervisor, and soon enough as a second-unit director for Howard Hawks on the stock-car racing film “Red Line 7000.” Hawks became his mentor and opened doors that led to his long career as a director of movies for television and hundreds of episodes of dozens of series including “The Rockford Files,” “McCloud,” “Marcus Welby, M.D.,” “Mission: Impossible,” “The A-Team,” “The Flying Nun,” “CHiPs,” “Baretta,” “The Fall Guy,” “To Catch a Thief,” “The Monkees,” “The Commish” and many others. His reliability in bringing projects in on time and on budget brought him continuous employment for four decades as a hardworking director in an industry known for its relentless deadlines and unforgiving production pressures.A lifelong sport fisherman, while still directing, Kessler began his third career, as a boat concept innovator, using the hull of a fishing vessel to build a yacht, the Zopilote, on which passengers and crew could live comfortably and fish for marlin from a custom deck at the stern. He and his wife, the actress Joan Freeman Kessler, spent many years cruising and fishing in various waters all around North America and beyond. They circumnavigated the globe from 1990 to 1993, making port in 34 countries as one of the first trawler power yachts to complete such a round-the-world voyage. In their travels they clocked a total of some 100,000 nautical miles. In Kessler’s later years he was something of a legend in the boating community as his innovative hybrid concept of a yacht built on the hull of a commercial fishing trawler revolutionized the industry. Delta Marine, the fishing-boat builder that had to be cajoled into building the original Zopilote, is now a major producer of such yachts. He received many awards and gave frequent talks on the subject, which he once described as not unlike the modifications he and his friends made on their hot rods as teenagers in the early 1950s, changes that he called simply “logical” for improved performance. Bruce Michael Kessler was born March 23, 1936, in Seattle to parents Jack Kessler, a sportswear salesman, and Nina (Ifland) Kessler, who managed the household. In 1946 his parents, Bruce and his two younger siblings, Ricky and Mimi, moved to Los Angeles where the Kesslers founded a ladies’ swimwear company in partnership with the fashion designer Rose Marie Reid. Rose Marie Reid Swimsuits was so successful in the postwar economic boom years that in 1950 the Kesslers moved to Beverly Hills, where Bruce had the privilege to embark on his racing career amid a circle of close friends including such Hollywood legends as James Dean and Steve McQueen. He had no way of knowing at the time that he would have a longer and more prolific presence in that world than either of them, or that his innovations in boat design would make that arguably the most consequential of his three careers. He is survived by his wife, Joan, partner and first mate for 54 years; his brothers Rick and Stephen; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Miriam Kessler Warshow. Despite his many accomplishments and his renown in all three of his unusual pursuits, Kessler was without any pretense of his importance or elevated sense of his own celebrity. He was always just doing his own thing in his own way, learning from and collaborating with partners of complementary skills and expertise, and following instincts that seemed to him completely natural. Not long after a social event where he was asked for his autograph by an admirer, he said to his brother Rick, “Why would anyone want my autograph?” A scale model of his pioneering trawler yacht, the Zopilote, is displayed in a glass case in the lobby of the Del Rey Yacht Club in Marina del Rey.
