Our History

Atlas Ocean Voyages was established in September 2019 and is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We are the US subsidiary of Mystic Invest Holding, a leader in the travel and tourism sector that is based in Portugal, making Atlas the first ocean cruise line to sail under the Portuguese flag. Mystic Invest Holding has more than 25 years of experience in hospitality and travel, including river cruises, tours and attractions.

We debuted our first yacht, World Navigator ®, in August 2021 and since then have been leaders in luxury expedition cruising as the first to embark on year-round expeditions.

Intimate Yachting Expeditions™

With year-round expeditions for every season, we offer an adventure for every kind of explorer. Our Cultural Expeditions by Atlas ™ take guests on journeys through vibrant history, art, architecture, folklore and local communities of Northern Europe, Iceland, South America and the Caribbean, as well as aboard Transoceanic expeditions. Polar Expeditions by Atlas ™ are made for intrepid spirits who love a challenge, exploring the furthest reaches of the Earth in Antarctica, Patagonia and the Falklands, the High Arctic of Svalbard, Norway and Greenland. Aboard Epicurean Expeditions by Atlas ™, culinary and wine connoisseurs will dive deep into the cuisine cultures of Italy, Spain, France, the Greek Isles and hidden gems amid the Mediterranean. It all happens together in good company aboard intimate yachts.

Our Intimate Yachts

Our yachts are Polar Category C- and Ice Class 1B-certified, made to explore both the icy waters of Antarctica and warm seas of the Mediterranean. Their small size allows us to traverse hidden gems and remote destinations that the large cruise ships cannot, as well as navigate narrow waterways like the Corinth Canal in Greece and Guadalquivir River in Spain. Purpose-built with a hydro-jet propulsion system that allows us to cruise virtually silently, we can follow the migrations of marine life while keeping the sensitive ecosystem in mind. Realizing the possibilities of environmental stewardship with the latest hybrid power management and maximizing fuel efficiency, we reduce our impact on the environment so that we can all enjoy the natural marvels of our world.

With fewer than 200 guests on board and an ambiance of relaxed luxury, like-minded spirits are encouraged to bond and create a special camaraderie with their fellow explorers. A nearly 1:1 guest-to-staff ratio of officers, staff and crew who are just as passionate about travel as our explorers makes for highly attentive service that comes from a place of genuine connection. With a growing fleet of intimate yachts, which can be seen below, we are inviting modern travelers to embark on unforgettable journeys with a like-minded community of Atlas Explorers as we continue to make a history of firsts.

And it’s all made possible by a genuinely warm and attentive crew, officers, staff, and the entire Atlas team.

Purchased: 51m yacht ATLAS

Published 01 March 2019

On behalf of the buyer, Burgess has purchased ATLAS, a 51m (167.3ft) four-decked superyacht delivered in 2011 by the Italian yard Codecasa. We are now looking forward to helping her new owner to bring ATLAS to the charter market in South East Asia.

Her exterior was designed in-house and her interiors are the collaborative work of Anna Marie Designs and Della Rolle Design. Only ever used privately, ATLAS has large picture windows on main and upper decks filling her interiors with light. A large sun deck, Portuguese bridge and generous outside spaces lend themselves to a variety of al fresco activities and an elevator serves all decks.

She accommodates 12 guests in six cabins, the pick of which is the full-beam owner's suite on the main deck with its private lounge and office, private balcony, his and hers bathroom and walk-in wardrobe.

Once again it was the ability of Burgess' team in Asia to apply global knowledge and local expertise that successfully secured this purchase. It also serves as another reminder of why Burgess won the award for Best International Asia-based Brokerage Company two years' running.

Meet the Burgess team in Asia and please contact our Hong Kong , Singapore , Phuket or Tokyo offices to find out more about our superyacht services.

To find out more about Burgess’ yachts for sale and yachts for charter , please contact a Burgess broker . Alternatively, get in touch with one of our offices directly: London , Monaco , New York , Miami , Singapore or all other locations .

CURATED. ELEVATED. BOUTIQUE.

Everyone at Charter Caribe knows what it takes to make a successful charter boat as well as a happy owner. The brand already has a strong foothold in Florida. “With existing and successful offices in St. Augustine, FL and Puerto Rico, as well as, SailTime bases in St. Augustine, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami , it was a natural choice,” says Nick Harvey, President of Jeanneau America. “With over 20 years of experience in new yacht sales, yacht management, charter management, and boat membership programs, Atlas Yacht’s expertise has added value for our current and future owners that we could not pass up,” Harvey added.

“Staying in step with the preferences of today’s sailors and sailing enthusiasts, while offering top-level service along with the top sailboat brand in the world is our mission and something that at Atlas we are all passionate about,” said Jim Veiga.

ABOUT ATLAS YACHT SALES

Atlas began in Fajardo Puerto Rico in 1995 as a sailboat brokerage also offering sail training and charters.  The area of Fajardo PR and Marina Puerto Del Rey, known as the “Gateway to the Caribbean” with close proximity to the island municipalities of Culebra and Vieques, the Spanish Virgin Islands, was and remains the perfect place for Atlas to grow a successful dealership offering new Jeanneau’s for private owners as well as for those placing vessels into our Charter Management Program, SailCaribe Yacht Charters. Atlas opened a sales office in St Augustine FL in 2012 to serve the North East Florida market. The relationship between the Florida market and the Caribbean market has existed for centuries and now Atlas is honored to offer Jeanneau Sailboats to those seeking to experience the best that the lifestyle and sport of sailing can offer in some of the most sought out locations on the planet.

ATLAS Summary

31.08 meters / 102 ft

CANTIERE DELLE MARCHE

United States

Asking price: $11,750,000 USD

M/Y ATLAS is a 102 ft steel and aluminum Explorer vessel, the third of the fortunate Darwin Class series to hit the water. Built in compliance with LY3 regulations, she boasts a series of interesting customizations, both withregards to function and design. The already ample spaces were specifically designed and reproportioned in height, exceedingthe already excellent standards of all the Darwin Class Explorer yachts. The technical standards that have made CdM a benchmark in its sector have been maintained: 12mm steel hull, cupronickel piping, independent rudders, automatic generator parallel (3 generators), electric fins stabilizers, as well as wastewater treatment systems for black, gray, and bilge waters that have been adapted from the world of work ships and designed to be used 24/365. In order to let the owners live an active life while enjoying the oceans and their sailing destinations, careful attention was dedicated to the layout of the garage, designed to hold numerous toys and transportation vehicles, as well as a complete diving center. The sundeck was custom designed for both a lounge area - with a big sofa with up/down tables, a bar in the center full optional equipped for cooking and cocktails - and for the wellness: a fully-equipped open-air fitness area with a pool so to keep up with their daily workout routines, even when the owners are at sea and far away from their regular gym. M/Y ATLAS's interior design style is warm and welcoming. The walnut wood tones find their perfect complement in the Poltrona Frau leather that covers 90% of the walls in all the yacht. The theme is pairing classical style and modern touches, especially in accessories and free standing pieces of furniture, like Minotti and Baxter pieces, that offer a tremendous visual impact in terms of aesthetics. The briefing for the kitchen was to emphasise the light from the large windows, so the choice has been the use of white with stainless steel for all accessories and appliances, included a blast-chiller freezer, a water dispenser and a double wash area. The yacht hosts a total of four cabins for the guests (Master, one VIP, and two guest cabins) plus two crew cabins and one Captain's double cabin adjacent to the cockpit. For an higher level of service to Owners and guests, the laundry cabin in the crew area could be easily refitted into a third crew cabin. This exceptional explorer vessels offer unparalleled level of comfort, luxury, and performances encompassed into a robust steel cocoon. Our commitment to providing the utmost in accommodations has led us to optimize and expand various aspects of the Darwin Class concept to ensure extraordinary and safe voyages to the most remote areas of the world. All Darwin 102 boast state-of-the-art amenities and each one is designed and built to cater to the diverse interests and needs of their Owners.

The owner of a $3.4 million Lamborghini yacht screamed 'I will kill you' and threw $100 bills into the water when told he couldn't use a private dock

  • The owner of a Lamborghini yacht threatened a private dock employee, per CBS8.
  • The employee said Ajay Thakore mooned and threw cash at him after being told he couldn't use the dock.
  • Thakore, the CEO of Doctor Multimedia, issued an apology through his public relations team.

Insider Today

The owner of a $3.4 million Lamborghini yacht threatened a private dock employee after being told he couldn't be there, the San Diego-based broadcaster CBS8 reported on March 11.

Joseph Holt, a 21-year-old employee at Marriot Marina in San Diego, told CBS8 that he spotted the yacht sailing into the private dock. The owner, whom CBS8 identified as Ajay Thakore, tried to pick another person up at the dock, Holt said.

"I told him respectfully that he couldn't be there, and I honestly was hoping to have a conversation with him about his cool boat," Holt told CBS8.

In a YouTube video posted by @SM-wc9eq on March 10, a dark blue Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 is seen sailing out of a dock. A man in a gray T-shirt, a pair of jeans, and a cap was shown standing on the yacht. The man appeared to be Thakore, per CBS8.

Thakore was shown shouting at Holt. "I will kill you, you know I will kill you!" he can be heard saying multiple times in the video

Thakore was later shown pounding his fist on his palm and pointing his thumb down before telling Holt: "To your face!" Holt was shown responding by pointing his middle finger at Thakore.

"I really was trying to restrain myself from getting fired from my job or stepping out of line. The only thing I did was give him the bird," Holt told CBS8.

Related stories

Holt said Thakore then took $100 bills from his wallet and threw them at him. He added that Thakore mooned him. This exchange was not shown in the video.

"He was saying I'm nobody, I'm nothing, I work a silly job. He said that he knows people, he has connections, he can change my life and ruin it," Holt said. Holt did not immediately respond to Business Insider's request for comment.

The San Diego Harbor Police arrived at the marina 10 minutes after Thakore's yacht exited the dock, per CBS8.

The Harbor Police told Business Insider that Holt decided to press charges against Thakore and that they are investigating the incident.

According to Thakore's LinkedIn page , he's the CEO of Doctor Multimedia. The company's website shows that it's a healthcare marketing firm based in San Diego. Thakore appears to go by the name Ace Rogers on Instagram and TikTok, where he's noted as being a professional gambler.

Thakore, through his public relations team, told CBS8 in a statement that his altercation with Holt was "regrettable."

"What started as a minor misunderstanding escalated into an argument, and I apologize for my actions and to those who witnessed the unfortunate exchange," the statement said. Thakore did not immediately respond to a request for comment from BI.

Thakore isn't the only CEO who's been called out for threatening another person. In November 2021, an Activision spokesperson told BI that its ex-CEO Bobby Kotick had previously apologized for telling his assistant he would have her killed. The spokesperson added that Kotick's threat was "obviously hyperbolic and inappropriate" and that "he deeply regrets the exaggeration and tone."

In June 2020, Lisa Alexander, the CEO of LaFace Skincare, a cosmetics company, apologized in a statement to the media after she had threatened to call the police on her neighbor for writing "Black Lives Matter" on his property. Alexander said in the apology that she was "disrespectful" and "should have minded my own business."
