Motor Yacht

Luxury motor yacht Braveheart was built in 1989 by Swedish shipyard Oskarshamns Varv (Swedeship). With a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she features naval architecture and exterior design by Pieter Beeldsnijder. This twin waterjet propulsion motor yacht measures 49.8 metres and can accommodate up to 10 guests.

Motor yacht Braveheart was previously known by the name Jefferson Beach. She underwent a refit in 1997 and another in 2004 worth US$2 million, ensuring the classic super yacht remains just so but also up to date with all the latest in nautical advancements. She has long, lean traditional lines

Her interior is light and spacious with areas that switch between formal and casual. European ivory lacquers create a feeling of luxury amongst the cosy and comfortable sitting areas including the library-like alcove in the main salon. The dining room can easily sit eight guests and the nearby bar serves both the dining room and the salon.

The main deck and skylounge sport a line of large windows that provide unfaltering views of the sea outside. The shaded aft deck has considerable space for alfresco dining along with the upper-deck and plush, cushioned sundeck.

Amongst her six cabins are an indulgent master suite and five guest staterooms. Each guest accommodation features a Queen-size bed, while the master suite on the main deck features a large and lavish bathroom. Also on the main deck is a formal dining room which complements the outdoor lounge where alfresco dining is a more laid-back affair.

Luxury yacht Braveheart is powered by two MTU 1,630 horsepower engines that allow her to reach a maximum speed of 14 knots. She can achieve a range of 3,800 nautical miles while cruising at a speed of 12 knots.

Featuring a dedicated crew, Braveheart is an excellent charter yacht for luxury vacations. The yacht cruises comfortably at 12 knots while her crew of 10 ensure the needs of every guest are met.

The luxury motor yacht is equipped with an armada of water toys to provide endless entertainment during any yacht charter. Onboard water toys include tenders, Waverunners, waterskis, tows, windsurfers, and a range of diving, snorkelling and fishing equipment.

Braveheart cruises the Mediterranean during the summer charter season and the Caribbean in the winter season.

A General Description of Motor Yacht BRAVEHEART

From the Oskarshamns Varv Ab shipyard in Sweden the BRAVEHEART is 49 metre 162 (ft) in length. Ready for launch in 1989 the comparatively traditional interior decoration demonstrates the established conceptualisation of the design work of Pieter Beeldsnijder Design / Susanne Skaf (Refit). Superyacht BRAVEHEART can accommodate up to 10 guests with 10 crew members. The former names or project names are Jefferson Beach; Barbara Anne; Jefferson Beach. She will reach a maximum speed of 16 knots.

Although Oskarshamns Varv Ab shipyard in Sweden started the build of BRAVEHEART it was in fact Hakvoort shipyard that finished the yacht.

Building & Naval Architecture relating to Luxury Yacht BRAVEHEART

Pieter Beeldsnijder Design was the naval architect firm involved in the formal superyacht design work for BRAVEHEART. Also the company Pieter Beeldsnijder Design skillfully worked on this undertaking. Interior designer Pieter Beeldsnijder Design / Susanne Skaf (Refit) was responsible for the overall internal styling. Sweden is the country that Oskarshamns Varv Ab built their new build motor yacht in. After formal launch in 1989 in Oskarshamn the boat was then passed over to the owner after sea trials and testing. The main hull was built out of steel. The motor yacht superstructure component is made mostly from aluminium. With a beam of 8.63 metres / 28.3 feet BRAVEHEART has spacious size. A reasonably shallow draught of 2.8m (9.2ft) selects the list of certain ports she can enter into, contingent on their particular characteristics. She had refit maintenance and alteration work undertaken in 2008.

Engines & Speeds On M/Y BRAVEHEART:

The 12V 396 TB93 engine installed in the motor yacht is produced by MTU. Connected to her MTU engine(s) are twin water jets (kamewa). The main engine of the yacht gives 1630 horse power (or 1215 kilowatts). She is equiped with 2 engines. The total thrust for the yacht is thus 3260 HP / 2430 KW. As far as stabalisers are concerned she utilises Naiad. The bow thrusters are Dahne.

Providing room for a limit of 10 yacht guests overnighting, the BRAVEHEART accommodates them luxuriously. The boat has room for around 10 able qualified crew to operate.

Swedeship motor yacht Braveheart sold

The 49.8 metre motor yacht Braveheart has been sold with Miles Clark at Seanergy in Hong Kong acting for the buyer and seller.

Built in steel and aluminium by Swedish yard Swedeship to an exterior and interior design by Pieter Beeldsnijder , Braveheart was delivered in 1989 with several upgrades and refits since. Accommodation is for 10 guests in five cabins along with 11 crew in four cabins. Guest accommodation consists of a master suite forward on the main deck while below there are four queen bedded double cabins, all with satellite television screens and en suite bathroom facilities.

The light and airy main saloon has an L-shaped seating area to port with additional seating aft to starboard while there is also a bar with a fridge for wine and champagne. The entertainment centre is located between the lounge and dining area and includes a large Sharp flat screen television, Denon sound system and a karaoke machine. Forward, the dining area has seating for 10 guests.

The aft deck has a five-place built in bench settee together with an oval teak table and chairs, comfortably seating eight guests in a. Stairwells on both the port and starboard sides of the aft deck lead down to the large integral swim platform, giving easy access to the water. A well equipped gym was previously located on the lower deck but is now used mainly for storage. It could easily be reconfigured as a gym.

Twin 1,960hp MTU engines linked to KaMeWa water jets give her a cruising speed of 11.5 knots.

Located in South East Asia, Braveheart was asking $6 million.

Built for an experienced sailor, the first Truly Classic 75, Braveheart of Sark, is fitted with an exquisite mahogany interior with a wealth of fine detailing, and has performed superbly on the racing circuit. Boat International described Braveheart of Sark as “a remarkable feat {that is} supremely comfortable to live aboard and looks superb at anchor.”

Above reflected by the fact that she received the most beautiful yacht award. The Most Beautiful Yacht is a notable award in that it is voted on by other ARC participants. That year there was a very clear winner, the beautifully maintained Truly Classic 75, Braveheart of Sark. A fitting award as the owner was one of four skippers from the first ARC in 1986 back sailing in the 30th Edition.
