Hello, I am (hopefully) close to coming into the possession of a K20+, in tatty but seaworthy condition. I have tried to contact the owners association with no luck and wondered if they were active on here? No criticism implied as I know fielding random emails is a chore! If anyone has experience of the K20+ and can offer some information re: known weaknesses or things to watch out for when looking over one, that would be great. Seems to me the only weaknesses are leaky windows, scratched gelcoat and crackly interior paint but I'm sure I could be missing something. This is my first boat so any advice appreciated really... I am operating on the sail now, fix later principle, but queuing up jobs for winter in my head. Thanks.

My first boat was a Kingfisher 20+! My husband and I bought her many years ago as our first, at a time I knew nothing about sailing or boats. And I mean nothing. What we wanted was a study, safe, comfortable and affordable bilge keeler to potter around in and get up creeks and that sort of thing. The K20+ was basically perfect for this. It is small yet perfectly formed: proper cabins, with doors, even for the head (I don't know why, if a 20' boat can have a proper head, other much larger boats can't manage it, but that's for another thread). It's just really thoughtfully and well layed out inside. It's not going to be the fastest or best pointing boat ever, but I really loved my Kingfisher. I always felt safe, and if you bang into a harbour wall with one, the harbour wall is going to come off worse. True fact. They are pretty bomb-proof. With your 70cm draft you will be able to virtually crawl up onto land - one of my favourite things to do was to ram Santa Teresa up onto East Head beach. All the things you mention about scratched gelcoat etc. can be true, but I don't think it's specific to Kingfishers. And one has even sailed to the North Pole. The association used to be (this was about 10 years ago) very active, andI know for a fact the rally is going ahead this year to Cowes, as it always did. Think it's mid-August, up to The Folly. Thanks so much! that is pretty much my situation- I am looking for something that will bounce off objects, sail stably and safely and I won't die of regret should I bump into something solid! The loo is amazing- it is part of the reason I am so keen as it means my G/F will be happier to spend time on board. It is a very well designed cabin. I'm in Liverpool so there are a few beaches I can ram around here & North Wales which is great, although I think I probably wont get her down to Cowes this year! 5 Most-Common Problems With Kingfisher Boats
Kingfisher boats have been around for over 60 years.
They currently have 29 models to choose from and over 40 authorized dealers to buy them from. These dealers range in location from up north in Alaska to the northern and central areas of California.
This company makes fantastic boats, but that doesn’t mean they are completely free from problems.
In this post, we’ll explore some of the most common problems with Kingfisher boats:-

1. Low Sides:
Many boat owners believe that Kingfisher boats have low sides.
After taking a look at their top-selling models, I’d have to agree with this assessment.
The problem with low sides on a boat is that this can lead to a boat becoming swamped easier. When a boat is swamped, it runs the risk of sinking. Needless to say, this should be a big concern for any boat owner.
Fortunately, Kingfisher has a self-bailing deck. This means that even though more water may get into your Kingfisher boat when compared to other boats, this water will drain out all on its own.
As a result, you shouldn’t have to worry about issues like swamping.
On top of this, the self-bailing feature is great for keeping your boat clean. Fishing can be messy, and it can leave a boat full of blood and guts.
With a self-bailing boat, you won’t really have this problem, and the water that comes in over the sides may even reduce the amount of cleaning you have to do, as well as the fact that you are closer to the water for fishing!
2. High Purchase Prices:
Kingfisher boats aren’t cheap.
These boats are made from heavy-gauge aluminum, and skilled craftsmen weld them together.
They’re also carefully designed to not only be tough, rugged, and durable but also to perform well in rough water.
Heavy-gauge aluminum, experienced welders, and expert designers cost money, and the cost shows within the purchase prices of Kingfisher boats.
As a result, some people feel that Kingfisher boats cost too much.
Good Build Quality:
This being said, a boat can’t be built with high-cost materials and expensive laborers and still be a cheap boat.
Compare Kingfisher boats with other boats of similar build quality, and you’ll find that the prices are quite reasonable.
For instance, Duckworth makes welded aluminum boats in similar sizes to that of Kingfisher.
When I did a price search on their boats, they were priced similarly to Kingfisher boats.
The same can be said for other welded aluminum boat manufacturers like Hewescraft and Thunder Jet.
These boats may all seem a bit pricey on the surface, but when you look at the quality of the materials used, and the quality of the craftsmanship put into each model, you’ll find that they really don’t cost any more than any other boat brand.
3. Pacific Northwestern Build-Style:
From Canada and Alaska’s great wilderness to the seas of California, the Pacific Northwest is known for its high seas and large lakes and rivers.
Kingfisher boats are built right in the center of these Pacific Northwest regions on Canada’s Swan Lake, and the boat models that Kingfisher builds represent these areas perfectly.
However, if you’re not from one of these areas, you might not need your boat to be built so ruggedly.
For example, a person fishing for largemouth bass on a lake in New Jersey could just as easily fish from a riveted aluminum boat without any trouble.
For this angler, paying the extra money for a heavy-gauge welded aluminum boat wouldn’t make much sense.
On the other hand, an angler fishing from a riveted aluminum boat off the coast of Alaska could end up getting themselves killed, so there are certainly times when quality matters.
Kingfisher boats are constructed using aluminum.
As we said earlier, this aluminum is welded together, and this results in a strong boat.
The downside to this is that the boat can be noisier than a fiberglass boat.
This probably won’t even be noticeable while ocean cruising, but it could be cruising through quiet backwaters or while trying to sleep in one of the larger Kingfisher models.
One way to get around this is to make sure you choose a model that includes an appropriate amount of insulation in it.
If the boat you’ve purchased doesn’t sound silent enough to you, add some insulating materials yourself.
This will dampen any sounds that come through your boat.
5. Availability:
As we said earlier, Kingfisher boats are built in the Pacific Northwest.
Because of this, people in the south and on the east coast of the United States might have trouble finding a Kingfisher dealer to buy from.
If you’re from South Carolina and you want to buy a Kingfisher boat, you may end up having to drive a thousand miles before you find one to look at.
This isn’t a deal-breaker, but it can make buying a Kingfisher boat more difficult for some people.
Also, you may want to consider the availability of service providers in your area. If there aren’t any dealers to sell you the boat in your area, there may not be dealers to service your boat either.
A warranty that can’t be used without a 1,500-mile trip might not be worthwhile for you.
On top of this, the regional nature of Kingfisher boats may make it harder for someone from a state in the south to resell this boat.
Many people down south will have never heard of Kingfisher boats, and they might be reluctant to buy a boat they don’t know much about.
General Pros and Cons of Kingfisher Boats
Every boat maker has pros and cons associated with it.
Let’s take a look at the pros and cons of Kingfisher boats:
While there are some cons to owning a Kingfisher boat, there are also many pros.
Here are some of the benefits of owning a Kingfisher boat:
Kingfisher boats are welded.
Kingfisher provides premium finishes.
There are many different Kingfisher models you can choose from.
Because Kingfisher boats are made of a welded aluminum construction, they tend to be more durable than their riveted aluminum competitors.
On top of this, the aluminum that Kingfisher uses is thicker than many of its competitors, so they are more durable.
Kingfisher also makes many models in a wide variety of finishes.
This means that Kingfisher fans can continue to buy from the brand regardless of what size they decide to go with.
Also, Kingfisher customers will be able to choose how luxurious they decide to go with their finishes.
As we stated earlier, there are 5 main cons to owning a Kingfisher boat:
The sides of Kingfisher boats are often lower than most boats.
Kingfisher boats are built for the rugged Pacific Northwest.
A Kingfisher boat may cost more than other boats in its class.

When a yachting website praises a fishing boat’s ride quality, you know they’re doing something right.
What’s the Resale Value On Kingfisher Boats?
A brand new Kingfisher 1925 Flex Sport will cost you about $50,000.00.
This would include a brand new 200 horsepower engine.
To buy the same boat with the same size engine in a 2018 model (2 years old) will cost you about $40,000.00. Do the same thing with an 8-year-old 1925 Flex, and you’ll end up paying about $24,000.00.
This means you could end up losing 20% of the boat’s value within 2 years and about half the boat’s value in 8 years.
Most vehicles tend to depreciate at faster rates within the first few years and then slow down as the boat gets older, so this isn’t much of a surprise.
I’d say Kingfisher boats have resale values that are in line with most other boat makers in their class.
Final Thoughts:
I really had a hard time finding any major problems with Kingfisher boats.
They really are great boats, and they’ll be around for years to come.
This being said, I wouldn’t say that Kingfisher boats are for everyone.
Carefully consider your needs before buying a boat and then decide whether Kingfisher is the best brand you can buy to meet those needs.

Kingfisher 20, 20+ and 22.

Quite interesting but not 100% accurate as I own a Kingfisher K20+ that was originally fitted with an inboard. The engine was allegedly a Brit Imp 5HP petrol and it was a failure. The original owner who had the boat built for himself removed the engine and disposed of it. Unfortunately the propeller was hack-sawed off to reduce drag so there is now no propeller or P bracket. Fitting a diesel engine is going to be quite a mission as the access hatch for the Brit Imp is rather small and I am rather loth to start cutting the boat about. It might be possible to fit a Kubota Z482 engine or a Yanmar IGM10 engine underneath the sink. The Kubota is favourite if it can be made to fit. Some cutting will be needed but the area would be out of sight. The original hatch could then be used for access to the stern gland.

There are aspects of the Kingfisher that make me wonder why it does not look more like the nomad. The side decks for example are tiny, and effectively useless. Other than (maybe) aesthetics, the Nomand full width cabin makes more sense. There is just something fun about having a pair of boats, which also ends up making everything a race. We hope to sail this one in May or June on the great lakes. But in the meantime we have refit work to do, and plenty of planning for routes, especially where to put in the water.

You are right in what you say. I looked ad dozens of boats before happening upon the Nomads. In small boats, many builders sacrificed functionality for convention and ascetics. I looked at a 19 foot bilge keel boat that had side decks so narrow I couldn't place my foot sideways without it riding on the toe rail. In a small boat concessions need to be made. One thing I want to mention is that bilge keel boats get a bad rap for being slow, but my experience is that a majority of them were built in England for North Sea conditions which are much more extreme than the East coast USA where I sail. The sails are heavily built. If you want to maximize performance, get the largest light air (ie. light fabric weight) sails she will carry and you will be amazed at the difference. One of the greatest advantages of the Nomad is that she has external cast iron keels. No need to worry if you bump anything in skinny waters or roughly settle on rock when drying out. Fiberglass is much more prone to damage so be careful there. Fair winds
I looked at this same Akron twin keeler. What did you do about the rusty keel nuts? I've seen people drill fresh holes into iron keels tap n thread for fresh bolts between the old bolts

Kingfisher 20 is a 20 ′ 6 ″ / 6.3 m monohull sailboat designed by R.A.G. Nierop and built by Westfield Engineering Co. (Marine) Ltd. starting in 1962.

The theoretical maximum speed that a displacement hull can move efficiently through the water is determined by it's waterline length and displacement. It may be unable to reach this speed if the boat is underpowered or heavily loaded, though it may exceed this speed given enough power. Read more.

Sail Area / Displacement Ratio
A measure of the power of the sails relative to the weight of the boat. The higher the number, the higher the performance, but the harder the boat will be to handle. This ratio is a "non-dimensional" value that facilitates comparisons between boats of different types and sizes. Read more.

SA : Sail area in square feet, derived by adding the mainsail area to 100% of the foretriangle area (the lateral area above the deck between the mast and the forestay).

Ballast / Displacement Ratio
A measure of the stability of a boat's hull that suggests how well a monohull will stand up to its sails. The ballast displacement ratio indicates how much of the weight of a boat is placed for maximum stability against capsizing and is an indicator of stiffness and resistance to capsize.

A measure of the weight of the boat relative to it's length at the waterline. The higher a boat’s D/L ratio, the more easily it will carry a load and the more comfortable its motion will be. KINGFISHER 20 (Mk1) 1959 to 1959. Sail Numbers 1 to c.6 Keels moulded out of fibreglass as part of the hull. Transom hung rudder, large transom locker, engine well with removable seat sited at aft end of cockpit, fore hatch on the fore deck
KINGFISHER 20 (Mk2) 1959 to 1967. Sail Numbers c.6 to 267 Cast Iron keels. Later versions housed the engine in the transom locker using a pivot method similar to the 20+. Otherwise as per the K20 (Mk1).
KINGFISHER 20 Fin Keel. Year and Sail Number unknown One produced and exported to Scandinavia.
KINGFISHER 20+ 1967 to 1978. Sail Numbers 268 to 464 Rudder shaft inboard through the transom, engine on swivel mechanism within the transom locker, hinged fore hatch located on fore cabin roof. There is also a long cockpit version primarily designed for the American market. Extra 70lbs of weight.
KINGFISHER 20+JR 1975 to 1978. Sail Numbers as K20+ but with JR at the end of the number. Sail number. 414JR is the oldest member number, 412JR being the earliest I’‘m currently aware of. As 20+ but junk rigged. Fore hatch back on fore deck because mast stepped though the fore cabin roof. Came with either standard windows or portholes.
KINGFISHER 22 1978 to 1981. Sail Numbers 465 to x This is identical to the K20+ except for a change in appearance when marketed by Kingfisher Yachts. The renaming to K22 was directly related to the boat length of 21’‘7” . This model was listed in the P.B.O. guide to yachts in 1978 as the Hasler KINGFISHER 22.

Coastal boats range from 29 to 24 feet long and feature slightly shallower vee hulls than their offshore counterparts. Their bottoms are heavy-gauge aluminum, although slightly thinner than those used in the Offshore series. However, since Kingfisher is a custom boat maker, you can spec out your 2625 in nearly any way you want, including a thicker bottom.
The interior of the Coastal Series is designed to keep you dry and warm during the toughest months of the year, but its accommodations are limited to keep it functional as a dayboat. The bow area is storage, and the only berth available is the two rear benches that convert with filler cushions.
There’s no galley, and the toilet is under a bench in the cabin, with only a privacy curtain.
The boat’s strength is its large working cockpit, which can be outfitted for any fishing mission.

The 2025 Escape and Escape HT are identical hulls with similar features, the only difference being that the HT is an enclosed hard top. But with the factory canvas enclosure option, the regular Escape will likely fit most boaters’ needs if they generally avoid windy and cold days anyway. This allows the best of both worlds— glorious open-air boating in the summer and warm and cozy protection in the winter.
The boat has a true 20-foot hull with an outboard bracket. The bracket is spacious, with a stowable swim ladder. There’s also space for a small kicker next to your main outboard, which is between 150 and 225 horsepower. Access to the cockpit is made through a clever folding step that makes entry and exit easier while not giving up any of your freeboard.
As a trailerable day boat on lakes, it’s hard to beat the rugged build of the Kingfisher 2025 Escape. Still, we’d like to see an upgraded family boat model with more seating. An optional bow seating area would help increase the functionality and appeal of this boat.

The 1975 Freshwater X9R is the latest version of Kingfisher’s popular jet-powered family boating platform. It takes the same great hull of other Kingfisher sports boats and couples it with a river jet boat. The boat has an ultra-beefy quarter-inch hull and has further reinforcement panels on the keel and chines.
The X9R’s Indmar engine produces 310 horsepower and 350 foot-pounds of torque at mid-range speeds. This incredible engine has closed-circuit cooling and is gasoline turbocharged direct injection (GTDI). The swim platform has a built-in service port to clean the jet, and an optional stainless steel impeller is available.

Like a curved bridge is stronger than a flat one, the hulls then have no tendency to ‘oil can’ or deform over time. They are extremely rugged and long-lasting , with hull thickness up to a quarter of an inch.
Likewise, all joints are welded—there are no rivets anywhere . Huge rub rails protect the boat from docks, and optional double rub rails are available on the larger models. The cleats are oversized, and even the cabin door is beefy and secure.
Kingfisher takes pride in its craftsmanship , and even the small details stand out. The electrical components are neat and organized, and every piece of stainless is isolated from the aluminum hull.
The brand sells boats in five categories depending on how you want to use your boat: offshore, coastal boating, multi-species fishing boats, lake sports boats, and river jet boating.
Offshore Series Boats
The Offshore Series features big pilothouse powerboats built to take on big-water marine adventure. They have deep vee hulls, up to 18 degrees, for cutting through chop and providing a smooth ride at low speeds.
Offshore boats come in three trim levels: GFX, Destination, and Weekender.
GFX stands for “Great Fishing and Adventure.” They’re loaded with the brand’s best premium features and found on the biggest three models of the Offshore line, the 3025, 3225, and 3425. They are four inches deeper than the other trim levels and feature stand-out amenities.
Examples include the sliding door entry into the cabin, upgraded interior upholstery and woodwork, enormous in-floor storage areas, and an extended roof over the cockpit helm.
Destination and Weekender Offshore boats are similar but lack some of the high-end features. The Destination trim is available on the 2825 and 3025, and the Weekender is only on the 2525 and 2725. In many cases, it’s possible to upgrade Destination and Weekender boats with some options included in the GFX package.
Coastal Series Boats
The Coastal Series is aimed at anglers and families who don’t need as much space or seakeeping abilities as the Offshore boats provide. They’re smaller, ranging from the 2225 Escape HT to the 2825 Coastal Express. Compared to their Offshore sisterships, the Coastal Series have slightly thinner sides, bottoms, and shallower vee hulls.
But, they are nonetheless very robust and capable aluminum boats.
Multi-Species Boats
Aimed at anglers of all stripes, the multi-species boats are fishing machines made to hit any freshwater fishing spot . They’re small enough for your typical lake or river but beefy enough for coastal areas in good weather.
The 1825 Warrior comes with tiller or remote steering. The 1925 and 2125 Arrow Sports are slightly larger versions with more room to fish. In these boats, seating is all pedestal seats that can be removed and moved around. Bow and aft feature large casting platforms.
Sport Series
These are lake boats aimed at families looking for a one-size solution to their marine adventure. These boats are solidly built and capable of doing almost anything, from fishing to watersports or just lounging around.
Sport boats come in two trims, the Falcon and the Escape. The 1825 and 2025 Falcons feature an open design with a welded windshield panel. The 2025 Escape comes in softtop or hardtop (HT) versions. All boats have a similar seating layout—basic bucket seats at the helm and two 36-inch bench seats facing inboard.
River Jet Series
The River Jet Series is a special set of Sport Series boats upgraded with Indmar inboard engines coupled with water jets. The result is a fast and sports boat with much more power and speed than their outboard-powered sisters.
The River Jet series includes the 1975 Fastwater and the 2175 Extreme Shallow, which can navigate in as little as four inches of water .
Target Audience for Kingfisher Boats
It’s easy to look at the lineup of Kingfisher Boats and write the company off as a niche builder focused on high-latitude fishermen. Divers search sunken yacht as entrepreneur, five others, remain missing off cost of Sicily
The deep-sea search for six passengers missing after a luxury yacht sank during a ferocious storm, including a prominent British tech entrepreneur and his daughter, continued Tuesday, with divers attempting to search the yacht as it lay on the ocean floor off the northern coast of Sicily.
But Italian officials acknowledged that, as time went on, the chance of finding the missing alive was getting slimmer.
“We have no memory of situations in which, with sunken vessels, people remain alive after 36, now [almost] 48 hours,” said Vincenzo Zagarola, a Porticello Coast Guard official. It was “difficult to imagine” people could still be alive inside the yacht’s hull underwater, Zagarola said.
So far, only one crew member has been confirmed dead in Monday’s disaster. The body of the yacht’s chef, identified as Canadian-Antiguan Recaldo Thomas, was found during initial recovery efforts. Fifteen people have been rescued.
Still missing are British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch and his teenage daughter, Hannah; Morgan Stanley International Chairman Jonathan Bloomer and his wife, Judy; and attorney Chris Morvillo , a partner at Clifford Chance in New York who represented Lynch in a recently concluded legal battle, and his wife, Neda.
Lynch, charged in the United States with fraud associated with his 2011 sale of Autonomy to Hewlett-Packard, was acquitted on all counts in June. The voyage on the 183-foot Bayesian, owned by a company controlled by Lynch’s wife, Angela Bacares, was intended to be a celebration of his legal victory, Britain’s Telegraph reported.
Divers resumed work around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday but have struggled to enter the narrow passages of the cluttered wreck, fire rescue service spokesman said.
Tables and chairs were blocking entrances, and cables and wires were forming a “sort of mesh,” spokesman Luca Cari told the Washington Post. “At the moment we are working on land to plan for an intervention and above all to create new openings.” The divers were searching the yacht’s stern.
Divers have found “no indication” that any of the missing people are on the ship, he said, but one “operational hypothesis” is that individuals may still be inside their cabins, based on the early-morning time of the sinking.
Violent weather appears to have caught many by surprise. Zagarola, the Coast Guard official, said that they had only expected “strong gusts” on the day of the sinking and that no weather warnings had been issued.
One passenger, Charlotte Golunski, told Italian media of holding on to her 1-year-old daughter, Sophie, amid the storm.
“For two seconds I lost my baby in the sea,” she told Giornale di Sicilia. “Then I immediately hugged her again amid the fury of the waves.”
The 184-f00t-long British-flagged Bayesian was carrying 12 passengers and 10 crew members roughly half a mile from the Sicilian fishing village of Porticello when it encountered rough weather at about 5 a.m. Monday. Lightning flashed, thunder boomed, and waves thrashed the vessel.
A fisherman described the scene to the Italian news agency ANSA. “It was floating, still, then suddenly vanished,” Pietro Asciutto said. “I saw it sink with my own eyes.”
Golunski and her partner, identified by Italian media as James Emslie, had been invited onto the ship as Lynch’s guests. She told Italy’s La Repubblica newspaper that she held her daughter “afloat with all my strength, my arms stretched upward to keep her from drowning.”
“It was all dark,” she said. “In the water I couldn’t keep my eyes open. I screamed for help, but all I could hear around me was the screams of the others.” Eventually, Golunski, Sophie, Emslie and eight others were able to get onto an inflatable lifeboat.
The Sir Robert, a Dutch-flagged sailing vessel anchored nearby, responded immediately to help survivors before the Italian coast guard arrived.
Britain was expected to deploy a team of four inspectors to conduct a preliminary assessment into the disaster.
“We are providing consular support to a number of British nationals and their families following an incident in Sicily, and are in contact with the local authorities,” a foreign ministry spokesman said Tuesday.
Carl Sputh, a former yacht captain who now works as a broker for Northrop and Johnson, a yacht brokerage firm based out of Fort Lauderdale, said that sudden weather changes at sea were not uncommon.
“I was a captain for 27 years, and I can tell you that I’ve been in waterspouts and microbursts that are similar to what happened out there that night with them,” Sputh said in an interview. “You go from like zero wind and a beautiful night into 80 to 100 mile an hour winds out of nowhere. And it happens extremely fast, and they’re extremely violent, and then they’re over.”
Yachts like the Bayesian would have a retractable keel that helps balance the yacht when sailing and improves stability, Sputh added. Italian Bayesian was anchored offshore. If the ship was planning to move closer to shore soon, Sputh said, it would have been normal for the keel to be retracted, to allow for navigation in more shallow waters.
Bacares, Lynch’s wife, was among the 15 survivors, according to a person familiar with the situation, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the delicacy of the situation. The Bayesian is owned by Revtom, a firm controlled by Bacares and registered on the Isle of Man, records show.
Ayla Ronald, a senior associate with Clifford Chance in London, also survived.
“We are in shock and deeply saddened by this tragic incident,” the firm said in a statement Tuesday. “Our thoughts are with our Partner, Christopher Morvillo, and his wife, Neda, who are among the missing.”
“Our utmost priority is providing support to the family as well as our colleague Ayla Ronald, who together with her partner, thankfully survived the incident.”
Bloomer, in addition to chairing Morgan Stanley International, joined the insurance group Hiscox last year as nonexecutive chair.
“We are deeply shocked and saddened by this tragic event,” Aki Hussain, the group’s chief executive, said in a statement. “Our thoughts are with all those affected, in particular our Chair, Jonathan Bloomer, and his wife Judy, who are among the missing, and with their family as they await further news from this terrible situation.”
Judy Bloomer worked with the British women’s health charity the Eve Appeal.
“Judy is a brilliant champion for women’s health and medical research, and has been an incredible supporter, committee member and trustee of our charity for over 20 years,” CEO Athena Lamnisos said in a statement Tuesday. “We are deeply shocked to hear the news that our very dear friend and her husband, Jonathan, are among those missing.”
The Bayesian was built in 2008 by Italian ship maker Perini Navi, according to the SuperYacht Times.
Three teams of divers, two from Italy’s coast guard and one from the fire brigade, are involved in the search-and-rescue operation, the coast guard said.
The yacht sank to a depth of more than 160 feet. The first attempt by fire brigade cave divers to search inside the yacht was unsuccessful, rescue authorities said.
On Tuesday evening, Zagarola said that despite the low odds, it would be “beautiful” to find the other passengers. “We are [still] looking for missing people.”

Rescue efforts continue Tuesday after a luxury yacht sank in Italy off the cost of Palermo, the capital of Sicily. One person died and six people were missing after the ship sank unexpectedly following strong storms. Among those missing are British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch and his daughter. Jonathan Bloomer, chairman of Morgan Stanley International, and Chris Morvillo, a lawyer at Clifford Chance who represented Lynch in a U.S. trial, as well as the men's wives, were also among the missing. I am absolutely in love with the 1875 jet (will be my next boat). The 2175 is underpowered in my opinion with the 200 sport jet (same motor is in the 1875). As far as the rides.
