Lamima is the first yacht built in Indonesia with a RINA classification conforming to international maritime regulations. Conceived in 2012 by esteemed yacht designer Marcelo Penna of Barcelona, Lamima encapsulates the elegance of traditional vessels while discreetly integrating enhancements to fortify her innate strength and stability. Encompassing a vast 400 sqm of open deck within a total of 900 sqm of functional space, Marcelo has equipped her with an impressive array of sails to harness the archipelago's every breeze, transforming her into a premier sailing vessel that exudes the opulence of a super-yacht.
The construction of Lamima was entrusted to the adept traditional boat builders of Ara, Sulawesi. They masterfully combined the authenticity and allure of Indonesia's historic two-masted trading ships (known as Phinisi) with the latest innovations in yacht design and technology, culminating in an extraordinary vessel boasting a rich heritage.
Lamima stands as the sole world-class charter yacht registered under the Indonesian flag, a prerequisite for navigating Indonesian waters with clients. This distinction further accentuates her exclusivity and underscores her mission to freely explore the azure waters of the archipelago she proudly calls home.

Sometimes we just want to chill. You’re on holiday, so just relax. Enjoy a massage, practice yoga, enjoy fine dining, or watch the stunning views along your journey. Last but not least, don’t forget about the good company!
Diving is very often on top of the list. And of course for those curious about the under water world, snorkeling or free diving is a fantastic way to get glimpse. Destinations, such as Indonesia or Maldives , are perfect for those eager to explore by the underwater world. On Board Facilities & Accommodation
Lamima's interior, warmly inviting with an understated contemporary Asian influence, has been specifically designed to accommodate 14 guests in absolute comfort. Each of the 7 spacious and elegant air conditioned cabins, furnished around a central theme of relaxed luxury with an undertone of Indonesian tradition, has a luxurious ensuite bathroom, comfortable seating, and ample storage for guests' personal belongings.
Lighting is subtly integrated into the design and plays an important role in the ambience while portholes provide natural light and an enticing view of the exotic world outside. Internet service is available in every cabin as well as HD TV, IPod docking stations, and an extensive DVD library for those guests who seek time-out to luxuriate in their own private domain.
Lamima’s saloon, a haven of tranquility and comfort, is situated mid-ship on the main deck. This spacious indoor area is furnished with a bar and lounge as well as a dining alcove designed to comfortably seat fourteen.
Forward of the saloon, shaded by a fabric bimini, a large area is furnished for al fresco dining and lounging. This open deck area is custom-made for leisure and meal times. Whether under sail or at anchor under the stars, it serves as the centre for communal life aboard and a place to share the day’s activities or to make plans for the next adventure ashore.
The stern section of this same deck has been designated as Lamima’s ‘relaxation quarter’. Here, in total privacy, the expert hands of a qualified pijit masseuse will soothe your body after a day spent enjoying water sports or on-board activities. Just as massage appointments are available at all hours during the day, so too are guests able to participate in yoga sessions and spa treatments.
And, should solitude be sought, there is a small specially designed zone of comfort and intimacy far forward on the main deck at the base of the bowsprit.
The upper deck extending forward of the pilot-house is furnished with six sun lounges and dedicated to inactivity. Here guests will delight in the sheer pleasure of doing nothing other than turn the pages of a book, sleep, chat, or contemplate the joys of living the dream.

Why we love it
“What really struck me was the history behind this extraordinary Phinisi yacht. LAMIMA was built over a period of 9 months using traditional Indonesian techniques that was launched with a ceremony and involved transporting the boat to water over a 2-month period on wooden rollers. It is remarkable to have the opportunity to stay onboard a modern-day yacht that was created with such incredible technique, rich in culture and history.”

Lamima in Komodo
Just a short flight from Bali, Komodo National Park is a place of diverse natural beauty and incredible wildlife. Offering some of the world’s best diving, iconic viewpoints and pristine beaches, it is a charter destination that will not disappoint. Especially when exploring it on Lamima . The exceptional vessel is the epitome of luxury from topsail to keel and provides an unparalleled charter experience in terms of service, comfort, and activities.
Those seeking new horizons will be delighted to discover the wonder of Lamima. The largest sailing yacht in Indonesia is a masterpiece designed in 2012 by renowned yacht designer Marcelo Penna of Barcelona. While honoring the timeless traditions of boat building in Indonesia, Penna infused Lamima with subtle refinements to amplify her inherent strength and stability. Her 7 luxurious cabins can accommodate up to 14 guests in style and comfort.
Teeming with sea life, Komodo National Park’s coral reefs are considered to be some of the best in all of Indonesia. Dolphins and manta rays are a common sight and countless other fish species await in the crystal clear waters. The grassy sloped islands that make up the park offer visitors gentle trekking trails and beautiful beaches to relax on, as well as the opportunity to see the famous Komodo dragons, the largest living lizards on the planet.
Luxury Charter
A yacht charter in Komodo aboard Lamima exceeds the extraordinary. From fine dining over onboard spa treatments to utmost privacy, the cruising experience on Lamima is defined by a philosophy that cherishes quality over quantity. Equipped with jet skis, water skis, paddleboards, kayaks, water toys and diving gear, a cruise on Lamima in Komodo guarantees fun for everyone.
Gili Lawa Darat | Day 1
After arriving in Labuan Bajo you will be transferred by private vehicle to the tender and welcomed aboard Lamima. From here, the yacht set sails for Gili Lawa Darat, a beautifully sheltered bay and the perfect introduction to Komodo. Enjoy some of the watersports available onboard or simply relax until the early evening when you hike to a spectacular viewpoint to enjoy the panoramic sunset over the islands of the National Park.
Sangeang | Day 2
Today you sail to Sangeang Island, taking in fantastic views of Mount Sangeang, an active volcano which last erupted in 2014. Thanks to the rich volcanic activity and debris, Sangeang boasts stunning black sand beaches and vivid bright coral reef which you can explore either by diving or snorkeling. Diving at Sangeang is considered to be some of the best macro diving in Indonesia. There will also be the opportunity to visit a local village to observe traditional boat building techniques.
Gili Banta | Day 3
Today’s calling point is the perfect spot for a relaxed day of walks on the long white sand beach or perhaps some watersports in a sheltered bay surrounded by beautiful scenery, as jet skiing is allowed in this area. With its hard coral gardens, Banta is a great place for shallow and drift diving, with the possibility of swimming or snorkeling with Manta Rays. In the afternoon, the crew will head to the beach to set up a private barbecue for the evening. The perfect opportunity to pause, breathe, and immerse yourself in the journey.
Gili Lawa Laut | Day 4
In the morning, Lamima sails to the northernmost part of Komodo National Park. Here you will swim or snorkel with schools of fish, including trevallys, groupers, sweetlips, barracudas and white-tip reef sharks. Then, after a nourishing rest and a massage at the Spa, you can hike to a spectacular viewpoint from where we can see the yacht anchored in the bay below. Don’t forget your camera or drone!
Karang Makassar & Padar Island | Day 5
After a short morning navigation, you arrive in Karang Makassar, one of the best locations in the park to snorkel with manta rays. Observe these fascinating creatures, while gently drifting through the crystal-clear waters. During lunch, Lamima sets sail for Padar. A beautiful island with spectacular scenery and the iconic viewpoint of Komodo. In addition, it is a great place to see the pink sand that’s unique to this area. Later that day, another hiking opportunity awaits. Hike up to a breathtaking viewpoint to watch the sun set over Komodo National park.
South Rinca | Day 6
In the morning, you sail to South Rinca, one of the region’s best dive sites. Here, you will get to experience the best of what Komodo National Park has to offer. Swim with nudibranchs, turtles, sea snakes and frogfish among some of the most colorful coral gardens in Indonesia. After lunch, the crew will take you by tender to the shore where you will be able to see the world’s largest living lizard, the legendary Komodo dragon.
Sabolan Island | Day 7
Enjoy a relaxed morning and nourishing breakfast as the vessel heads for Sabolan Island. Famous for its stunning white beach and equally stunning reef, Sabolan is the perfect playground for water activities. Enjoy a dive to see barracuda, octopus, scorpion fish and pygmy seahorses. Alternatively, why not enjoy some watersports such as kayaking or paddleboarding. In the evening, the crew will set up another private beach barbecue for a memorable last night dinner under the star-lit skies of the National Park.
Labuan Bajo | Day 8
Day 8 marks the last day of your breathtaking journey aboard Lamima in Komodo. For your final morning, take one last swim or a quick snorkeling session before the crew transfers you back to the port of Labuan Bajo by tender. From here, a private car will take you to the airport for your onward journey or your resort.
