Ode to the favorite cruiser

The renewed Mulder Favorite was developed to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Mulder Shipyard and as a tribute to the many Favorite cruisers built by Dirk Mulder Sr. since 1955. The Favorite 1500 was designed and built for private use of the Mulder family. The aim was to create a beautiful yacht with recognizable lines that the whole family could enjoy. The virtually straight bow and sloping transom stern are the epitome of a ‘modern classic’ look. Spacious cabins, a luxurious open cockpit, lots of outdoor feeling and a large storage for a tender make for a genuine all-rounder.

Special features

Electric operated sliding roof

Large open roof which can be electrically opened. It gives the luxurious open cockpit, literally an outdoor feeling.

Underfloor heating

All bathroom floors are equipped with underfloor heating. Optional we can install underfloor heating throughout the complete interior.

Well equipped galley

The galley is located in the heart of the interior. It includes a 4 flames induction cooking plate, extractor, refrigerator and combined microwave/oven. Also available with a washer / dryer combo.

Tender storage, with electric opening hatch, for a 3.00 M tender or foldable bikes. 

State-of-the-art cockpit

Dashboard from the Favorite includes all features you wish like a GPS and instrument panel.

Ideal family yacht

The Mulder Favorite series is perfect to enjoy with the family. It’s equipped with a spacious guest cabin and a large saloon table.

Spacious aft deck

The aft on the Favorite 1500 is spacious for its kind. It is as standard provided with three large couches. As an option you can exchange one couch for an outdoor bar.

The chic bathroom onboard the Favorite 1500 is efficiently laid out . It is equipped with a generous walk-in shower, toilet, large counter with sink and sufficient storage space.

Mulder Yachts launches updated Favorite 1500

Dutch yard Mulder Yachts has revealed the latest version of its Favorite 1500, which features an improved aft deck layout. Popular among superyacht owners as a day cruiser, the Mulder Favourite 1500 features the yard’s distinctive round-bilge hull, which was developed in collaboration with Guido de Groot Design .

New features on this updated 15.6 metre launch include a larger garage in the transom, which can swallow up a three metre tender. Mulder Yachts has also added new insulation materials and under floor heating for year-round comfort, while the aluminium construction is now 10% lighter than before, for a total displacement of 18 tonnes.

The layout comprises a main deck saloon that is divided from the cockpit by a sliding glass door, while accommodation on the lower deck is split between two en-suite guest cabins.

In a statement, the yard explained: “The renewed Favorite 1500 will have a more elegant, a more genuine look combined with much improved new aft deck layout to ensure the highest levels of luxury and comfort on board at all times.”

Power comes from a pair of Volvo Penta D6 engines for a top speed of 25 knots and the completed launch has been classed as RCD Category A for offshore cruising. The first new Favorite 1500, which has been built as a yard demonstrator and named Summer , will be showcased at several boat shows during the 2016 season.

Upcoming projects currently under development at Mulder Yachts’ Zoeterwoude-Rijndijk facility include the  BN 105 , a 36 metre superyacht that is due to launch in 2017.

The development of the new model was driven by the steady increase in demand for Mulder Favorite 1500, as the closest to the perfect family-size yacht model there is. Built to the highest standards in its length, Mulder Favorite 1500 serves as a perfect day-cruiser yacht, but is also very suitable for longer voyages.

Increasingly Mulder Favorite 1500 has been gaining attention from the international clients, who have been appreciative of encapsulated luxury and comfort which is complemented by modern characteristics, with the potential to personalize this all-rounder to the little detail.

Characteristic features of the modern classic include the nearly straight bow and the sloping transom stern. The semi-custom built yacht has a beautiful round-bilged hull and will reach a maximum speed of 25 knots with twin Volvo Penta D6 435 hp each.

The Favorite 1500 is a distinctive yacht model with recognizable retro lines. She has a functional layout with spacious cabins, a light saloon and a large open cockpit. The glass sliding door and electrically operating sliding window provide access to the spacious aft deck, where three comfortable couches and a folding table allow to enjoy many memorable adventures with family and friends.

The new model of Mulder Favorite provides many more improved features and comfort, such as latest insulation technologies, floor heating and a storage in the stern for a 3 meter tender, to name a few.

The latest Mulder Favorite 1500, M/Y Summer, is built as a yard demonstrator and will be showcased at several boat shows this season.

the History of this shipyard originated in 1938, when its founder, Dirk Mulder began to build steel boats with a wooden superstructure called Favorite . Since the water came down more than 400 copies, which are now fully in aluminum. br> Mulder Shipyard — a very traditional and conservative Dutch company, still fully owned by the family Mulder . In 2011, the shipyard has invested €7 million in the construction of new slipways, which allowed us to build vessels up to 45 metres and to increase the number of boats to work up to 20 units, including rarity. br> in Addition to the existing semi-custom lines Favorite , Flybridge , Convertible and Wheelhouse the company implements unique projects in cooperation with leading Dutch designers, including Frank Laupman , Guido de Groot and Yaron of Hinton . br> Mulder Shipyard does not seek to increase production volumes, constituting 3-4 corps per year, but it has significant flexibility in terms of castrametati and services. The main task of the shipyard is building a quality yacht at a reasonable, not exorbitant cost, although the customer the Dutch from Zoeterwoude you can implement any requirements.

Victor M. Mukhin was born in 1946 in the town of Orsk, Russia. In 1970 he graduated the Technological Institute in Leningrad. Victor M. Mukhin was directed to work to the scientific-industrial organization "Neorganika" (Elektrostal, Moscow region) where he is working during 47 years, at present as the head of the laboratory of carbon sorbents.     Victor M. Mukhin defended a Ph. D. thesis and a doctoral thesis at the Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia (in 1979 and 1997 accordingly). Professor of Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia. Scientific interests: production, investigation and application of active carbons, technological and ecological carbon-adsorptive processes, environmental protection, production of ecologically clean food.
