Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club Restaurants Guide

This article discusses the restaurants at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club. We’ll preview a list of restaurants for both resorts and then provide an individual overview of each one.

Some dining options might not be so obvious when you stay at either Disney’s Beach or Yacht Club. While the resorts have adequate table-service restaurants and lounges, the quick-service locations are insufficient.

We recently spent an entire week at the Yacht Club and used a few loopholes to do well with dining. However, I overheard multiple guests complaining about the lack of restaurants during our stay.

Most mornings, I woke up early and jogged or walked around Crescent Lake. Twice, I ran into guests asking cast members where they could eat breakfast. One of those guests, an older gentleman, exclaimed, “You mean this restaurant is the only place I can get breakfast at this hotel,” referring to Ale and Compass.

In both situations, the guests were frustrated. You pay a premium price to stay at a hotel, and the quick service options are stuck inside a hotel gift shop–most of them premade–and room service hasn’t been available in years!

We go on and on about the Disney Beach and Yacht Club. It’s our favorite place to stay in all of Walt Disney World! So, I felt it was important to update our dining guide for the resorts and share these frustrations. You are not alone.

But I sincerely believe you can do well for breakfast and most other meals without always needing a dining reservation at a table service restaurant. So, let me share what’s available with a few tips to enhance your vacation instead of leaving you frustrated!

Beach Club Marketplace is the primary quick-service restaurant on the Beach Club side of the resort. It’s located off the resort’s lobby.

Part of the Beach Club Marketplace is the Beach Club’s gift shop . The other half offers grab-and-go items, regular menu items, and a beverage station.

Beach Club Marketplace serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is usually open from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. You can preview the Beach Club Marketplace Menu on Disney’s site.

You can get a few decent items for breakfast, like breakfast sandwiches, a Bounty Platter (bacon, scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, and a biscuit), and Mickey waffles.

However, lunch and dinner items are pretty limited. Those items include a pulled pork sandwich, a foot-long all-beef hot dog, baked macaroni and cheese, a roasted half-chicken dinner, and a garden salad.

Kids’ meals include a turkey sandwich, PB&J Uncrustable, baked mac and cheese, and a hot dog. If you want chicken nuggets, you’ll need to pick them up at Hurricane Hanna’s.

In addition to menu items, Beach Club Marketplace has a good deal of premade grab-and-go items. Here are a few photos from a recent visit.

If you are a chocolate lover, you’ll want to try the plant-based chocolate brownie with icing. A cast member shared that it was a guest favorite, so I tried it on a previous visit. It was delicious!

Unfortunately, this location does not have a formal indoor seating area. However, you can enjoy your meal in the nearby Solarium. Additionally, a separate covered outdoor patio with tables and chairs is available across the walkway.

For more specifics about this location, we have an entire review of Disney’s Beach Club Marketplace . It includes photos of everything you can expect at this quick service.

The Market at Ale and Compass is almost identical to Beach Club Marketplace. The Market is down a hall, only a few steps from the Yacht Club’s lobby.

This location offers mainly grab-and-go style sandwiches, salads, and pastries. However, a few made-to-order selections are available.

The Market area at Ale and Compass

Hours of operation are daily between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. The Market serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Limited seating is available inside.

For breakfast, items include breakfast sandwiches, a breakfast bowl (scrambled eggs, a Mickey waffle, potato barrels, bacon, and a biscuit), Mickey waffles, and oatmeal.

Lunch and dinner items include premade cold sandwiches, premade salads, a grilled chicken panini, a Cuban sandwich, and a ham and cheese sandwich. Kids’ meals include a ham sandwich, turkey sandwich, mac and cheese, or grilled cheese.

Additionally, The Market has a relatively extensive list of specialty coffee drinks. So, this is an excellent stop to pick up a caffeinated beverage.

Rapid Fill Mugs

We didn’t dine at The Market at Ale and Compass or Beach Club Marketplace during our stay. However, two in our group purchased a Rapid Fill mug from The Market at Ale and Compass.

At the time of this update, mugs are $21.99 and can be used at any resort quick service with a refillable beverage station for the length of your stay. So, for these resorts, you can refill them at either quick service or Hurricane Hanna’s by the pool.

Tip: If you visit any other resort’s quick service, you can use the mugs there. For instance, if you take the Skyliner to Primo Piatto at the Riviera for breakfast, take your mug with you.

Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill

Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill is a quick-service dining location at Stormalong Bay . For those unfamiliar, Stormalong Bay is the pool area shared between the resorts. It’s so large that it has its own name.

Hurricane Hanna’s is usually open daily from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. They serve standard items like burgers, chicken nuggets, and salads. Here is a preview of their menu. (Those frozen grapes make for an excellent treat at the pool.)

Yacht Club Restaurant Menu

They have a separate cocktail menu.

Seating at Hurricane Hanna’s is available outside of the pool area. However, if you’re at the pool, a server is usually available to take your order during the busier portions of the day.

Seating area at Hurricane Hanna's

On a past visit, we rented a cabana at Stormalong Bay and ordered lunch from the poolside quick service. I got the grilled chicken sandwich.

Over the years, we’ve ordered food from Hurricane Hanna’s and taken it back to our room. This spot has always been our go-to location for allergy-friendly chicken nuggets when staying at the resort.

You’ll find three lounges between Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club. I use the word lounge loosely because they are all excellent locations to enjoy dinner without a dining reservation.

We’ve had dinner at all three locations and consider each a bit of a hidden gem. First, we’ll discuss Ale and Compass Lounge, the primary lounge off the Yacht Club’s lobby.

This location is open daily from 4:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. Several items from Ale and Compass Restaurant are available on the lounge menu.

Those items include hearth-oven flatbreads, Parker House rolls with spreads, roasted Buffalo-style cauliflower, blue crab bisque, roasted garlic shrimp, and the bacon and Vermont cheddar burger.

Crew’s Cup Lounge

You’ll find Crew’s Cup Lounge next to Yachtsman Steakhouse. Crew’s Cup appears to be a bit of a hole in the wall. But once you spend a few moments inside, you’ll be glad you decided to stop. It’s one of the friendliest places on the property.

Disney's Yacht Club Restaurants

Crew’s Cup has a menu with a few offerings from Yachtsman Steakhouse. A menu is posted outside the entrance.

On this stay, we were allowed to order steaks from Yachtsman along with their delicious bread service. Since we had a younger member in our party, they also provided us with a kids’ menu.

Unfortunately, it was so dark I didn’t get great pictures. We had the ribeye and roasted prime rib. Other menu options included lobster corn chowder, Caesar salad, jumbo shrimp cocktail, and a charcuterie board.

You may remember we tried the charcuterie board on a previous visit. It was a tasty option that was more than enough to make a meal.

Related: Crew’s Cup Lounge at Disney’s Yacht Club

Lastly, Martha’s Vineyard is a lounge located on the Beach Club side of the resort. This location offers a tasty New England Clam Chowder.

I often stop here for a bowl on cooler evenings. The chowder is delicious and comes with a side of cornbread. (This chowder is supreme over the one at Beach Club Marketplace.) You can also order items like loaded potato barrels, Buffalo-glazed wings, mussels, and more.

Seafood Chowder from Martha's Vineyard at the Beach Club

If you’re looking for a cocktail or a meal, I wouldn’t hesitate to try any of the lounges. They are much more appealing than either of the resort’s counter services.

Ale and Compass is a restaurant that we frequent year-round. This trip was no exception. If you were to look at our receipts from our stay, you’d see one line item after another that said, “Ale & Compass.”

This is also our loophole location for dining at the resorts. Yes, it’s a table service restaurant. But they offer mobile ordering.

Ale and Compass serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They are open most of the day. But they close around 2:00 p.m. and reopen at 5:00 p.m. for dinner service.

We enjoy having breakfast inside the restaurant from time to time. This location has a popular breakfast buffet that includes an entree for a reasonable price.

Those chocolate waffles are one of the entrees, and they are every bit as delicious as they look. They come topped with mascarpone, cherries, and chocolate shavings.

chocolate waffles with bacon from Ale and Compass

We have also enjoyed many other menu items for lunch and dinner at Ale and Compass. But our favorite thing to do when staying at the hotel is to order takeout and enjoy it at the pool.

Since the feature pool opens at 10:00 a.m., we ordered breakfast at 9:30 a.m. each day of our stay. It was usually ready by 9:50 a.m. So I would pick up our order and get in line to rope drop the pool. (It’s a very popular pool.)

Each day of our stay, we enjoyed breakfast at the Stormalong Bay Pool. Honestly, it was our favorite part of the trip!

breakfast at Disney's Yacht Club

A few mornings, I had blueberry pancakes. Oh, and the best part? This item below is a kids’ meal other than the coffee. For a reasonable price, you receive two pancakes and two sides. I chose roasted sweet potatoes and sausage.

pancake with sausage from a Disney Yacht Club Restaurant

The first evening before everyone arrived, I enjoyed a cheeseburger with fries and broccolini at the pool. This was another mobile order kids’ meal from Ale and Compass.

cheeseburger from Disney's Yacht Club

I cannot stress enough how much we love this location for table-service dining and to-go orders. It is so simple to order your food and pick it up.

If you don’t want to dine at the pool, you can find a seat in the neighboring lounge or return to your room. And if you don’t want to pay a table service price, mobile order a kids’ meal. It will be a better quality than what’s available at the quick service. (However, note that kids’ meals are not an option for adults when dining inside the restaurant.)

Parker House Rolls at Disney's Yacht Club

Most everyone planning a stay at either Disney’s Beach or Yacht Club will want to secure a reservation for Beaches and Cream Soda Shop. This diner-style restaurant is located directly behind Stormalong Bay.

Beaches and Cream serves burgers, fries, grilled cheese, and onion rings. They also have an array of popular sundaes, milkshakes, and banana splits for dessert.

Beaches and Cream Soda Shop takes walk-ups based on availability. However, to ensure a table, you will want to make reservations. Due to the restaurant’s popularity, reservations are sometimes difficult to obtain.

However, if you’re only going for ice cream or would like a treat to enjoy by the pool, you’re in luck! Beaches and Cream has a walk-up window that serves ice cream only.

You can get pretty much everything except the kitchen sink! Well, actually, you can get the kitchen sink. Just make sure you have someone(s) to help you.

Here is the menu description: Scoops of Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Cookies ‘n Cream, and Mint Chocolate Chip topped with Hot Fudge, Peanut Butter, SNICKERS¼ pieces, Fresh-baked Brownie, and smothered in every additional topping we have. Also available are Chocolate Lovers or Neapolitan. (Serves Four)

Beaches and Cream To-Go Window

Cape May Cafe is located on the Beach Club side of the resort. This restaurant offers two unique dining experiences. First, they have a daily breakfast buffet from 7:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

This meal is considered character dining and referred to as Minnie’s Beachside Bash. Characters at this meal include Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, Donald Duck, and Goofy.

Breakfast items include salted caramel beach buns, oatmeal, grits, cheddar biscuits and gravy, omelets, carving stations, fruits, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and more.

Cape May Cafe Restaurant at Disney's Beach Club

For dinner, Cape May Cafe is open from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. This meal is a seafood-and-more dinner buffet.

Cape May’s seafood buffet includes clams, shrimp, mussels, pasta, soups, salads, roasted beef, desserts, and more. However, it’s important to note that this meal is not character dining. Characters only appear at breakfast.

Unfortunately, snow crab legs are no longer part of the all-you-can-eat buffet. At the time of this article, an order of extra crab legs cost $29.00 per pound.

Yachtsman Steakhouse is a signature dining establishment on the Yacht Club side of the resort. It’s so good that it’s included in our list of the best signature dining options at Disney World . They are open nightly from 5:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.

Like its name, the steakhouse serves a variety of quality aged in-house meats. The restaurant’s signature steak is the New York Strip.

So far, we’ve tried the filet mignon, ribeye, and prime rib. All were delicious, but the ribeye with blue cheese butter was more than memorable.

Restaurants near Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club

Lastly, we’ll discuss a few dining options near the Beach and Yacht Club. As you probably know, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot are within walking distance of the resorts. So you’ll want to plan some meals when you visit those parks.

Disney’s Boardwalk and the Swan and Dolphin Hotels are also within walking distance. This means you’ll find plenty of table-service dining options within the area. However, quick-service locations are lacking in the entire Epcot Resorts Area .

Dining options at Disney’s Boardwalk include Trattoria al Forno and Flying Fish. You might also get a sandwich or treat at the Boardwalk Deli . (Unfortunately, Big River Grille permanently closed.)

best restaurants at yacht club disney

Disney’s Swan and Dolphin has multiple signature dining options: Il Mulino, Todd English’s Blue Zoo, and Shula’s Steakhouse. Shula’s is one of the best meals we’ve had!

If you’re looking for something more casual, try The Fountain, located on the Dolphin’s first floor. This restaurant is similar to Beaches and Cream and offers diner-style menu items.

And if you prefer to eat outside, the Cabana Bar and Beach Club Grill is by the pool. This location takes walk-ups, and they have several tasty menu options. Additionally, Rosa Mexicano is the resort’s newest restaurant.

Final Thoughts on Dining at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club

When it comes to restaurants, you’ll find plenty of options between Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club. As for a quick meal, remember that mobile ordering from Ale and Compass is your friend.

As far as staying at the resorts, they are pretty hard to beat. While I often complain about the lack of places to enjoy a casual meal in this area, it’s usually our only issue. So, I don’t necessarily mean to put a damper on things by complaining. But it’s something you’ll want to be aware of going into your stay.

Hi, I'm Amber the owner of Resorts Gal . We have stayed at every single Disney Resort Hotel. Our philosophy? We believe you can have an incredible time at the resorts without ever setting foot in a theme park. We live near the parks and visit weekly and would love for you to follow along.

Great review! We’ve been to many of the restaurants mentioned and it’s funny because it was the Hurricane Hanna’s that surprised us the most. My sister and I ate there on a whim and I remember talking about it even days later because I couldn’t believe how good it was for a pool bar…lol

Thank you! We love Hurricane Hanna’s, it’s the saving grace for counter service at the resort.

Disney Yacht Club from across the water

Dining at the Disney Yacht Club is the ideal blend of upscale and convenient, with plenty of options. Fitting with the feel of the resort, the dining locations have that county club vibe, even the quick service spots. All the while, the food is high quality and delicious!

The Disney Yacht Club also shares a few of our favorite dining locations with its sister, the Disney Beach Club . Get the best of both worlds with dining at this resort, Yacht Club providing class and Beach Club providing fun.

The galley is always open – disney resorts room service.

Enjoy a meal in the quiet and privacy of your own room with the Disney Resorts Room Service, excellent food options delivered right to your door. Just press “Dining Options” on your in-room phone, place an order, and the food comes to you.

At the Yacht Club, you’ll find typical Disney food options along with some nautical favorites, fitting with the theme of the resort. A delicious lobster and corn chowder or yummy local baked fish are perfect for seafood-lovers, or splurge on a fabulous Maine lobster roll. If you prefer landlubber cuisine, a brick lemon-herb chicken or a bacon cheeseburger will match your tastes. Buffalo wings and fries are always a good choice too if you need something quick and simple. Kids have plenty of their favorite options as well, like chicken nuggets and cheeseburgers.

There are also some awesome dessert options on the menu! If you missed the chance to hit Beaches & Cream, you can order ice cream up to your room. You can even get an entire cake to share, which is nice for a special occasion.

An 18% gratuity, $5.00 delivery charge and 6.5% sales tax will apply to all delivery orders.

The Market at Ale & Compass

Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, The Market at Ale & Compass is the main quick service dining option at the Disney Yacht Club. Simply referred to as The Market , you can get a fast and filling meal any time of the day, and take a few minutes to peruse the souvenirs in the adjoining shop.

Especially if you’re in a hurry, The Market is a great place to take advantage of Mobile Order . This awesome service allows you to use the My Disney Experience app to order ahead at quick service locations. That means your food will be ready when you arrive! Pick up your food as you walk in, and head right back out, or stay and enjoy your meal. Either way, it will save you the time of waiting for the food to be prepared.

The Market at Ale & Compass

One of our go-to items at any quick service location is the Breakfast Bowl, with scrambled eggs, a Mickey waffle, bacon, and potato barrels (tater tots). I like to get these sorts of combo meals because they are easy to split, and definitely filling. A top tip is to avoid overeating, especially at breakfast, so splitting this meal is ideal. Also available, try different breakfast sandwiches and a healthier egg-white wrap if you want something of your own. Plain Mickey waffles are always a delicious option!

Snacks are well stocked at The Market, so pick up fruit, yogurt, or milk and cereal if you like to breakfast light. Plenty of yummy treats await you at the bakery as well, the chocolate-hazelnut croissant being one of my breakfast favorites.

Don’t forget to fill your mug with coffee, juice, tea, or milk!

Lunch and Dinner

For these times, a variety of hot or cold sandwiches and salads make for nice, light meals. The Cuban sandwich is one of the most popular hot items, with ham, slow-roasted pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, mayonnaise, and mustard all on a hoagie roll served with house-made chips. You can also grab a foot-long chili-cheese hotdog, similar to the gourmet hotdogs served at the Beach Club Marketplace.

Cold sandwiches are great to grab in the morning to take to the parks, or to bring out to eat by the pool. You could even pick one up before you leave, giving you a portable lunch if you’re driving home. Among these are the roast beef sandwich, slices of roast beef topped with horseradish cream, caramelized onions, and arugula all on multigrain bread. Vegetarians will love the roasted vegetable sandwich with roasted Portobello mushrooms, zucchini, red bell peppers, and cauliflower dressed with roasted red pepper hummus, topped with slices of fresh tomatoes and grilled onion served on herb Focaccia bread. Both sandwiches come with house-made chips.

Other Options

Kids have the additional options of grilled cheese, macaroni and cheese, a ham sandwich, and an Uncrustable. The children’s meals come with a choice of sides and beverage, making these items a great deal.

The bakery is open all day, so don’t forget to snag something sweet! Sticky buns, chocolate twists, and brownies are all amazing. The bakery also has seasonal cupcakes , each with their own amazing flavor profile and fun decoration!

In the evening, stop by The Market for a variety of beer and wines, which you can enjoy there or take back to your room. If you want something to go, I suggest getting a bottle of wine rather than wine by the glass. You’ll have it for your whole trip, and get more value for your dollar.

There are two main lounges at the Disney Yacht Club – the Ale & Compass Lounge and the Crew’s Cup Lounge. Both are excellent places to relax in the evening, and enjoy a delicious beverage. These are both full bars, so only overage guests are permitted.

The Ale & Compass Lounge

Grab a drink while you wait for your Ale & Compass reservation, or simply lounge in the relaxed atmosphere. The Ale & Compass Lounge is ideal for a relaxing evening or quick bite, all while enjoying a refreshing drink. Opening at 4:00pm and staying open until 10:00pm, this lounge is a great place for an evening hangout.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Monica Glenn (@ftjtravelbymonica)

Healthy-sized appetizers comprise the food options, giving you filling snacks or lighter meals, depending on your plans. Items like the Parker House rolls with assorted spreads – bacon jam, pub cheese, and citrus butter – are great if you just want something to nibble while you drink. Flatbreads and a bacon cheeseburger are perfect for dinner in the lounge, both options are full sized meals.

In addition to the full-bar offerings, the Ale & Compass Lounge has several original cocktails. A twist on a class, the Maple Old Fashioned will give you that New England feeling. Made with Jim Beam Black Extra-aged Bourbon, maple syrup, orange juice, and angostura bitters, this is a great way to change up your regular. For those in a spicy mood, try the Spicy Pomegranate Margarita. Mix Tequila, Ancho Reyes Chile liqueur, pomegranate juice, and simple syrup together to create a zesty and delicious cocktail! A squirt of fresh lime juice on the top adds a bit of tang and cuts the heat.

Enjoy nonalcoholic mixers as well, like a grapefruit spritzer and the No-Kick Mule, just with ginger beer and lime.

Crew’s Cup Lounge

Outside the Yachtsman Steakhouse, the Crew’s Cup Lounge is a nice alternative if you can’t get a reservation at the steakhouse. The Crew’s Cup is also a good place for one of those appetizer as dinner nights, when you’re up to your ears in delicious (but rich!) Disney food.

On the appetizer menu, share a savory and delightful charcuterie and cheese board, coming with different accompaniments depending on the season. For something a little more substantial, the prime rib sliders are perfect, topped with horseradish cream and served on house-made onion rolls. Jumbo shrimp cocktail are always a great option as well, a light snack with just enough protein to get you to your next meal. Have the shrimp with the Yachtsman signature bread to round out a meal.

Crew’s Cup also offers full entrees, so you can add this to your dinner spot list. After 5:00pm, you can get an amazing ten-ounce prime rib, served with mashed potatoes and horseradish cream. For something a little different, try the Twice-fried Green Circle Chicken. Smoked Feta spoon bread and chicken croquettes come with pickled rhubarb and fiddlehead ferns, an interesting take on fried chicken.

You’ll come for the food, but stay for the drinks! Along with an extensive beer, wine, and bourbon selection, Crew’s Cup offers a large variety of signature cocktails. Literally Walk the Plank with an amazing blend of rye whiskey, orange juice, almond liqueur, and lemon juice garnished with Maraschino cherries. Combine the elements of country and tropical vacation with a Whiskey Breeze – Jim Beam Black Extra-aged Bourbon, Cointreau, and lime juice shaken with guava and mango for that aloha vibe. You could also choose to drink your dessert with the Godiva Chocolate Martini. A divine concoction, this martini mixes Godiva chocolate liqueur, Stoli Vanil vodka, Bols White Crùme de Cacao, and Frangelico. This sweet treat will warm you from the inside out!

Available for breakfast and dinner, the Ale & Compass Restaurant is a great option for a nice family meal. Especially if you’re looking for a quality table service breakfast, you have to try out the Ale & Compass!

Think breakfast favorites, with an upgrade. The American Breakfast has the right balance of breakfast foods – two eggs any-style, breakfast potatoes, and choice of breakfast meats. Eggs benedict get the added decadence of smoked pork loin, along with herbs and spices in the hollandaise sauce.

While these dishes are amazing, the quick bread breakfast items change the game. No plain French toast here, but instead, we see salted-caramel apple French toast. Two massive pieces of French toast, sliced horizontally, and stuffed with delicious caramel apples. A buttery brown sugar crumble and salted-caramel drizzle tops the slices, completing the picture. However, that isn’t the end. The Dark Chocolate Waffles are to die for! Three thick, circular waffles hold a dried cherry compote, on top of which sits huge dollops of espresso-mascarpone cream, finished with chocolate shavings. It’s a good thing these richly incredible waffles come with a side of breakfast meat to cut through the sweet deliciousness!

Kid’s Meals

For your kiddos, they can get their favorites Mickey waffles or blueberry pancakes if in the mood for something sweet. Scrambled eggs and a mini-breakfast sandwich are great options if they want a savory dish instead.

As always, I recommend splitting an adult meal between two kids. Especially if they want to try something like the chocolate waffles or the French toast, the split is perfect. It actually works out to be cheaper than a kid’s meal!

Ale & Compass does specialty brunches for Easter and Mother’s Day, a great way to treat yourself or Mom! Going to be dining at the Disney Yacht Club during these holidays? You might want to consider an Ale & Compass brunch.

A great mix of surf and turf, Ale & Compass has a dinner menu that will please everyone in your group. To start your meal, try the amazing lobster and corn chowder or roasted garlic shrimp, both coming with house-made items to dip. Smaller plates are available in the form of salads and flatbreads, both meat and vegetables options to fit all dietary needs.

Of the main plates, our favorites would have to be the New England Seafood Pot Pie, braised short ribs, and the brick lemon chicken. For the potpie, it is stuffed full of a plethora of different seafood – shrimp, scallops, lump crab, and the catch of the day. Mixed in are pearl onions, peas, and potatoes, all coated in a creamy seafood cream sauce. The flaky pastry on the outside completes this delectable dish. The short ribs are fall-apart tender, accompanied by a flavorful roasted vegetable mash and barbecue demi sauce for dipping. Alongside the lemon chicken, you’ll love the duck fat-roasted potatoes and veggie sautĂ©. Add truffle fries with a house-made shallot mayo for extra decadence!

If that weren’t enough, the three dessert options will send you right over the edge. Completely plant-based, the mango torte layers mango mousse and spiced lemon pound cake, covered with fresh berries and a raspberry sauce. You could also try the warm apple cobbler served with frozen vanilla custard, or a rich flourless chocolate cake covered in chocolate ganache and offset by a coffee Chantilly cream. Basically, if you’re not rolling out of Ale & Compass, something went wrong with your meal!

Kids have the ability to build their own meals, choosing from a selection of main dishes and sides. Kids that are more adventurous might like the pasta Bolognese or catch of the day, while a cheeseburger is there to save the day for pickier eaters. Side options include sautĂ©ed broccolini, macaroni & cheese, corn, and red potatoes, and kid approved! The side menu includes two dessert options – mini ice cream sandwiches and honey-marshmallow s’mores. Kids can choose to get one savory side and one sweet, working their dessert into the price of their meal.

Open only for dinner, the Yachtsman Steakhouse is the signature dining experience at the Disney Yacht Club. Designed to be elegant, upscale, and a true yacht-country club experience, this steakhouse has high quality dishes and a fabulous atmosphere. Yachtsman Steakhouse even has a dress code, heightening the fancy feel of the restaurant.

I recommend making this a date night or adults-only meal. Of course, you can bring your kids, but they need to adhere to the dress code as well. Between that and the sophisticated style of the place, you need to decide if this is the best place to bring your kids.

First Course

Yes, they even refer to the stages of the meal as courses!

First course items include steakhouse staples like a wedge salad, Caesar salad, and French onion soup, all of which are perfect ways to start your evening. If you want to try something a little different, consider the Ahi tuna tartare with a poke vinaigrette and wasabi, or the creamy lobster bisque. You could also get a charcuterie or cheese board to share if you don’t want to fill up before the main meal.

Chef’s Signature Offerings

These three dishes come recommended by the Yachtsman’s chef, and designed to be truly delicious experience. The first is the Chilled Captain’s Tower, a combination of jumbo shrimp, mussels, oyster shooters, scallop ceviche, and charred octopus salad. As the name suggests, the tower is served cold, and is ideal for the true seafood lover. If you prefer your seafood hot, I recommend you try one of the Land and Sea entrees instead.

Both of the other signatures dishes are made to share between two people. The first is a 28-oz prime porterhouse steak, 21-Day dry-aged, with accompaniments of bone marrow, green onion brioche bread, garlic butter, and your choice of two sides. Second is the Chilled Admiral’s Tower, and upgraded version from the Captain’s Tower. In addition to the Captain’s Tower seafood, the Admiral’s Tower also has Maine lobster, snow crab, and tuna tartare. Again, this item is served cold.

Butcher’s Cuts

It is a steakhouse after all, and these steaks are the main event. Filet mignon, prime rib, rib-eye, and New York strip all come cooked to order, with their own incredible seasonings and sauces to bring out the flavor of the meat. Of these, the filet mignon is my personal pick, covered in a cognac-truffle butter that adds to the unctuous nature of the steak.

Each steak comes with your selection of mashed potatoes, potato-leek gratin, sweet potato casserole, house-made French fries, or broccolini. You can also choose to add to your meal one of the signature Steakhouse Sides – truffle macaroni & cheese, creamed spinach, loaded hasselback potato, house-made truffle fries, or braised mushrooms. I suggest getting the broccolini with your meal (you’ll be glad for a vegetable!) and then adding one of the richer steakhouse sides.

Yachtsman Steakhouse offers further enhancements if you want to add to the luxurious nature of your meal. Get your steak Oscar-style, with asparagus, lump crab meat, and a rich béarnaise sauce. You can also add a half lobster, bone marrow, or thick-cut bacon for a little extra richness.

Land and Sea Entrees

Here’s where the hot, succulent seafood pairs with the delicious steakhouse offerings. Whole Maine lobster and Georges Bank Scallops are paired with incredible sauces and accompaniments to bring out their delicate flavors. If you want something unique, you might enjoy the Cervena Elk from the land side, with a parsnip puree and blueberry sauce.

You can also add the bone marrow or half a lobster to the items, or get them Oscar-style.

Yachtsman has several amazing desserts, but my picks would be the chocolate lava cake and the banana bread pudding. Using high quality chocolate, this lava cake is unlike any you’ve ever had. In addition the cake itself, it comes with a refreshing coconut ice cream to cut through the richness and is topping with a raspberry-Chambord Sauce and gingersnap crumbs.

The banana bread pudding is warm, comforting, and delicious. Caramelized bananas have the right touch of sweetness, as does the caramel rum sauce on top. A side of butter pecan ice cream ties the whole dessert together.

Disney Yacht and Beach Club Dining

While two separate resorts, the Disney Yacht Club shares a few dining locations with the Disney Beach Club. Of course, if you’re staying at either, it is easy to pop over to the other resort to enjoy the dining options. After all, the resorts share a pool area, they’re that close together!

However, two dining spots are right in the middle of the Disney Yacht & Beach Club that you’ll want to check out!

Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill

Out by the pool, Hurricane Hanna’s is the main pool bar and eatery for Stormalong Bay. This is a great place for you to get a poolside lunch or refreshing beverage, especially if you don’t want to have to trek back to your room. Don’t let the fact that this is a pool bar fool you, Hurricane Hanna’s has some delicious options!

Much like other pool bars, Hurricane Hanna’s has lighter fare, which is what you want out of a meal by the pool. Grab a cool Greek or Caesar salad, perfect for a hot day and a light lunch. If you want to make your salad a bit more substantial, you can add chicken for that extra protein. The rest of the savory items are sandwiches, again ideal for poolside eating. The Italian Focaccia and turkey and Swiss sandwiches are both delicious, but our favorite is the seafood roll. Fresh seafood comes tossed in a citrusy mayo dressing, with just the right amount of zing. All three sandwiches come with house-made chips, which gives just the right touch to the meal.

What would a bar be without amazing drinks! Hurricane Hanna’s has two specialty cocktails you’re going to love – the Category 5 and Storm Chaser. Category 5 has that pirate feel that will have you singing Yo-ho, yo-ho, a pirate’s life for me! With Captain Morgan spiced rum, crĂšme de banana, peach schnapps, you’ll be feeling the island vibes in no time; add in a mix of orange and pineapple juices and a splash of grenadine to balance out the drink. If that wasn’t enough, the Category 5 also comes with a float of Gosling’s 151 Rum.

Meanwhile, the Storm Chaser is made with vodka, Bacardi superior rum, blue curacao, and sweet-and sour. A splash of Sprite brings a touch of sweetness and effervesce for a tropical buzz. Between these drinks and the beaches of Stormalong Bay, you’ll forget you’re not on a cruise !

Aside from these drinks, enjoy plenty of other cocktails on the rocks or frozen, as well as a wide variety of beer and wines. We recommend the Sunshine Margarita, a Disney poolside staple, or the Frosé, a frozen concoction of rosé mixed with vodka. Both are refreshing, and perfect for a sunny day by the pool.

For the kids and nondrinkers in your group, there are sweet and cool smoothie options as well as some virgin version of your favorites.

Beaches & Cream Soda Shop has been one of my favorites for as long as I can remember, and it is still one of my favorite places to visit. I can’t tell you how many fond memories I have of sitting out in front of the quick service window, waiting for our No Way JosĂ© to appear. And then watching it disappear in a matter of minutes! Our family is decided ice-cream lovers, and Beaches & Cream never disappoints.

Beaches & Cream opens every day at 11:30am, providing a place to get a fun and delicious diner meal for lunch or dinner. You can always skip straight to dessert
many people do! Beaches & Cream is also open until 9:00pm, making it a great place to stop after a day at Epcot or on a walk around the boardwalk. This is usually when we stop by, after touring through the other resorts in the area or playing a round of mini-golf. It’s a great way to finish an evening!

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Amanda Smolko (@a_bookish_baker)

Beaches & Cream has a reputation for fantastic and fanciful desserts, but that’s not all there is to this location. The menu features delicious savory foods as well, combining diner favorites with a touch of table service sophistication. A nostalgic, 1950s diner feel makes this bright and fun location just a great place to hang out. Especially with the recent remodel, the larger space and new dĂ©cor adds something to the atmosphere.

Diner Delights

Start with a classic cheeseburger, grilled cheese, or French dip sandwich. You could also go for two of the most popular items, the cheddar bacon-ranch chicken sandwich or house-made Reuben. It wouldn’t be a diner if you couldn’t get French fries or onion rings on the side, but Beaches & Cream added tater tots to their menu with the reopening! All your favorite loaded fry options now come in tot form, so if you’re a tot lover, you have to check these out.

Even though they are not listed on the menu right now, in the past Beaches & Cream has had a variety of salads to balance out the sandwich options, as well as a few seafood dishes. What’s great about Disney dining is that they are always rotating your options to keep things fresh, so be on the lookout for new additions!

You can always swing by the pickup window and take your lunch back to the pool, or enjoy your meal at the limited outdoor seating. However, if you definitely want to sit inside for the whole experience, a reservation is a must. Beaches & Cream is quite popular!

Soda Shop Marvels

Alright Mom, I had my dinner, now can I have dessert?

These incredible sweet treats will have you feeling like a kid again, and cause the actual kids in your group to go bananas!

To begin, you can get a classic strawberry shortcake or brownie a la mode. While both are delicious, these items are definitely elsewhere around Disney World , so we suggest going for one of the unique options that makes Beaches & Cream special. You’ll find these delicious delights on the Sundaes on the Beach section of the menu, and you’re going to be overwhelmed by your choices!

As I mentioned before, we are partial to the No Way José, an out of this world peanut butter and hot fudge masterpiece that features both chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Not enough? How about some chocolate pieces and whipped cream on top? Perfect.

The Fudge Mud Slide and Snickers Sundae are both similar to the No Way José, with three scoops of ice cream each, covered in chocolate, and topped with cookie pieces and Snickers bars respectively. You can also go for classics like a banana split or three-scoop sundae, giving you the chance to build your own delicious dessert

Even with all these other choices, the real star of this show is the infamous Kitchen Sink . Getting its name from the phrase “everything but the kitchen sink,” you won’t believe it until you see it. With eight scoops of ice cream, all the toppings in the store , huge chunks of cake, and an entire can of whipped cream , this sundae is no joke. The menu says that it serves four, but it really feeds more like six or eight. Recently, Beaches & Cream has added a Chocolate Lovers and Neapolitan option as well, which focuses more on these flavors.

Grabbing something to go? You can get a plain scoop of hand-dipped ice cream on cone or in a cup, or slurp up a rich milkshake. These are great if you’re planning to eat or drink as you walk, while meeting the need for a sweet treat.

No matter what dining option you choose at the Disney Yacht Club, you’re going to leave satisfied
and wanting to come back for more!

The best restaurants at Disney World in 2024

Summer Hull

Editor's Note

Even surrounded by Disney magic, you've still got to eat.

At Walt Disney World , mealtime can range from quick burgers and fries to an entirely immersive experience that transports you across the globe — or even into space. It's not uncommon to spend as much time strategizing about where to eat at Disney as which attractions to ride. That's certainly our approach.

When you visit Disney World, you'll need to think of dining in two separate categories: meals at regular restaurants that serve as a way to fuel up before getting back to the action, and meals at one-of-a-kind venues that also count as entertainment, as a way to try foods from around the world or even as a way to see characters or shows without crowds.

Once your kids know they can eat in space or that Mickey, Minnie or the princesses can join them for dinner, you may have to choose between a budget-friendly meal and creating lasting memories during a pretty pricey dining excursion.

However, not all Disney food — and dining experiences — are created equal. Here are the options worth fitting into your next Disney World vacation, whether you're aiming for something affordable, upscale or full of special Disney moments.

Best Disney restaurants

Best disney world restaurant: takumi-tei.

The best restaurant both in Epcot and at Disney World is Takumi-Tei . It wins for not only the quality of the food but the refined service, unique atmosphere and memorable experience that will leave you in disbelief that you are still in Central Florida.

There are only two options here, both of which are inspired by traditional omakase meals: a plant-based menu for $150 per person and one with meat for $250 per person. Children younger than 8 aren't allowed, and both menus take between two and three hours to enjoy, so plan accordingly and savor your brief escape to Japan.

Best restaurant at Epcot for guests of all ages: Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria

Don't worry, we aren't going to only list restaurants that cost hundreds of dollars. While Takumi-Tei takes our top spot on this list, we'll add another great Epcot option that is more affordable and welcomes all guests: Via Napoli.

In the heart of the Italy section of Epcot's World Showcase, this long-standing favorite may have slipped a notch since reopening, but it still features legitimate Italian food that would pass muster in New York City's Little Italy.

The prices are reasonable by Disney standards, with most entrees costing no more than $30. Pizzas are more expensive than you might hope (the large, shown below, was $44.50), but they're good for sharing, as a large can serve a family of three or four. The Piccante Pizza with added pepperoni (which costs $24 to $50, depending on the size you pick) is a tasty choice.

Best restaurant at Disney's Hollywood Studios: The Hollywood Brown Derby

This Hollywood Studios replica of the California icon has an air-conditioned dining room that's an ideal lunchtime escape from the Florida heat.

Service here isn't always fast, and the prices aren't cheap, but it is a glorious way to fill up while getting a legitimate break from the park. The Cobb salad ($25) is a classic, and you can't go wrong with the filet mignon served with horseradish cream and peppercorn sauce ($49).

Best restaurant at the Magic Kingdom: Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen

Unless what you're after is an expensive character meal, there's no better sit-down restaurant in the Magic Kingdom than Skipper Canteen. This claim is especially true if you enjoy both the Jungle Cruise ride and slightly more adventurous eating than stereotypical theme park fare like burgers and fries.

On the lunch and dinner menus, you'll find dishes such as Falls Family Falafel ($12) and "Tastes Like Chicken" Because It Is! ($28), sweet chili-glazed fried chicken served with jasmine rice and seasonal vegetables. There's also a sustainable fish course featuring Asian flavors for $32.

If you like spicy noodle dishes, Skipper Dan's Dan Dan Noodles ($28), a noodle dish topped with crispy pork, vegetables and a spicy chili sauce, is unlike anything else you'll find in the Magic Kingdom.

Best restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom: Tusker House Restaurant

This was a tough call, but we'll give Tusker House the slight edge over Tiffins Restaurant, another Animal Kingdom favorite, as Tusker House gives you the chance to see characters in unique, cool costumes.

Tusker House currently has a set menu for its safari-themed character dining option. It's a bit pricey at $62 per adult and $40 per child, plus taxes and tip, for lunch and dinner (or $47 per adult and $30 per child, excluding taxes and tip, for breakfast), but you get a lot of food — as in, far too much for one person.

Your meal comes with salad and bread plates (with hummus and mango chutney) as starters; a large sampler of Moroccan-spiced beef, curry shrimp, spit-roasted herb chicken and marinated pork (plus sides) for your entree; and a dessert trio platter. The shrimp-and-rice dish was easily the best of the entrees, but the entire meal was tasty.

To accompany your meal, you can enjoy an assortment of cocktails, from safari-themed drinks such as a Tikiti Punch to traditional drinks like a Moscow mule, beer, wine and cider for an extra cost.

Best quick-service meal: Satuli Canteen

Quick service at its Disney-fied finest, this mess hall is next to Avatar Flight of Passage in Animal Kingdom.

The fast-casual spot's beef, chicken and fish bowls (which cost between $13.29 and $17.99 per bowl) make for a great lunch or dinner that's quick, cheap and healthy. As an added bonus, there's also a selection of wine and beer, should you wish to wind down after the Avatar experience.

If you save room for dessert, order the spherical blueberry cream cheese mousse ($5.79). It's easily a highlight of the entire menu.

Best really fancy meal: Victoria & Albert's

If you want to savor the best award-winning food at Disney World while celebrating a special occasion like a major anniversary, a milestone birthday or an epic celebration, head to the posh Victoria & Albert's restaurant in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa . Just don't expect to roll in straight from the parks; this is an upscale venue with a strict dress code.

Children younger than 10 aren't permitted here, and you should expect to spend several hundred dollars on a multicourse tasting meal for two — surpassing $1,000 is common if you and your dining companion decide to include wine pairings. Book the chef's table to watch the kitchen team prepare your incredible meal.

Best lounge meal: Nomad Lounge

If you want a nice daytime break while at Animal Kingdom, there's no better place than Nomad Lounge. In fact, it's arguably worth visiting the park on its own.

Located right before you enter Pandora — The World of Avatar, Nomad Lounge is the absolute best place for a snack if you like items that are a bit more worldly and flavorful. Though it can easily take an hour or more to have your turn come up on the walk-up waitlist, you'll be rewarded handsomely once inside (or on the patio).

Nomad Lounge favorites include the bread service from the connected Tiffins Restaurant ($16), the sliders with amazing yucca fries ($15) and the churros ($10). The menu items are all shareable, so you and your group can try several things without filling up too much in the middle of the day.

Best street treats

While there are a bunch of excellent snacking options around the parks and resorts, if you're looking for the best street treat at Disney World, there's one that reigns supreme: the Dole Whip.

What's Dole Whip? It's a pineapple-flavored soft-serve concoction that you can add pineapple juice to ... if you're smart. On a hot day, this refreshing treat (which starts at $5.99 for a cup) is perfection.

best restaurants at yacht club disney

At Disney World, you can get your Dole Whip just beyond the Magic Kingdom's Magic Carpets of Aladdin at Aloha Isle. You can also find Dole Whip in Animal Kingdom at Tamu Tamu Refreshments — adding a shot of alcohol to the treat is an option here — and at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort just behind the main building as you head toward the pool.

If you want to change things up, Disney now offers some other flavors, including raspberry, strawberry, lime and mango. Of the newer flavors, we're big fans of the coconut version, though you can never go wrong with the original.

best restaurants at yacht club disney

Gideon's Bakehouse cookies

If you're a cookie person, the hottest thing on the Disney block is the half-pound, freshly baked cookies from Gideon's Bakehouse in Disney Springs. These cookies are massive and decadent, and they come in a variety of craveable flavors.

On the regular menu, you'll find the original chocolate chip cookie ($6) plus peanut butter crunch ($6), triple chocolate chip ($6) and a few other more exclusive, limited-time flavors that can, and do, sell out early in the day. A selection of cake slices, cookies dipped in chocolate and cold brews is available as well.

If you want one or more of these cookies (you can only purchase up to six at a time), plan on joining the virtual queue as soon as you get to Disney Springs by going to Gideon's and adding your number to the list. There's usually an hour or two of virtual waiting required before you need to wait 10 to 20 minutes in a physical line to get your goodies. The cutoff to get in the virtual queue is sometimes a few hours before closing, so you'll want to join the line before 7 p.m. to have a good shot at cookie bliss.

best restaurants at yacht club disney

If you ask us, the best food within Hollywood Studios' Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is undoubtedly a grab-and-go wrap from Ronto Roasters.

There are two versions of the tasty Ronto Wrap (both around $14), which features grilled pork sausage wrapped in a warm pita. The breakfast version (the superior option) adds eggs and cheese, while the original comes with peppercorn sauce, roasted pork and slaw. (Note that there's a vegan sausage option, too.)

best restaurants at yacht club disney

It isn't always open, but if you're hungry and see a line forming at the egg roll cart at the entrance to Adventureland in the Magic Kingdom, you'd be wise to join the queue.

Here, you can get two egg rolls in flavors such as pepperoni pizza, cheeseburger and buffalo chicken. That may sound a little weird, but each version tastes amazing. You'll pay $9.50 for your choice of two egg rolls.

Best Disney character dining experiences

Best character meal at the magic kingdom: cinderella's royal table.

This is an expensive meal, but it is well worth the high price tag, as you and your kids will get to dine in the castle with all their favorite Disney princesses.

Breakfast here is the cheaper option, costing $69 per adult and $42 per child. Lunch and dinner are a little more expensive at $84 for adults and $49 for kids, but during these service times, you'll enjoy much better food selections, including braised chicken with fettuccine, a Castle Salad that combines romaine with Brussels sprouts and a seasonal cheesecake.

best restaurants at yacht club disney

Best character brunch: Topolino's Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera

Cinderella has a run for her slipper in the top spot because Topolino's Terrace offers an equally memorable character brunch at the top of Disney's Riviera Resort with top-notch service, delicious food and some pretty famous characters in unforgettable costumes. Plus, you don't have to pay park admission to dine here.

The breakfast at Topolino's Terrace features a pastry basket, juice, coffee and an entree from a menu geared toward adults or kids. For adults, the selection includes smoked salmon, avocado toast, sour cream waffles and a wild mushroom scramble, all of which cost $49 each. Meanwhile, kids 9 and younger can choose from $30 options such as fruit and yogurt, Mickey waffle dippers and scrambled eggs.

The food is consistently tasty, but it's the characters that really set this dining experience apart. Minnie, Mickey, Daisy and Donald don their finest Mediterranean outfits and are introduced with music that is very fun and unique to this spot.

best restaurants at yacht club disney

Best character meal at Epcot: Garden Grill Restaurant

Located in Epcot's Living with the Land Pavilion, the Garden Grill Restaurant doesn't look all that interesting or impressive at first glance. In fact, for years, we just walked right past it. However, now that we've tried it, we suggest giving it a shot, especially if you're after some relaxing time with classic characters.

Priced at $62 for adults and $40 for kids for lunch and dinner (or $47 for adults and $30 for kids for breakfast), the all-you-care-to-enjoy Chip 'n' Dale Harvest Feast features a family-style platter with options like barbecue chicken, seasonal veggies, grilled beef, salad, macaroni and cheese, bread and more. The restaurant physically rotates, and at times, you can see scenes from the Living with the Land ride, which is where some of the ingredients may have been grown.

While the food here is solid, the characters steal the show. As you dine at your booth, Chip, Dale, Mickey and Pluto make regular visits.

best restaurants at yacht club disney

Best character meal for tweens and teens: Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White

One of the newer character meals at Disney World is also one of the best.

Found at Disney's Wilderness Lodge (meaning you don't need a park ticket to visit), the full three-course meal at Artist Point goes well beyond burgers and fries. Menu options include a shrimp cocktail starter, sustainably sourced fish with risotto and a truly amazing vegetarian dish with asparagus, leeks, arugula and gnocchi. Additionally, you'll have four included desserts to choose from, ranging from a "poison" apple to a cookies and cream panna cotta with chocolate gems.

The main draw, though, is the meet-and-greet with the Evil Queen herself. Keep your eyes peeled for Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, too, as they're known to wander around the dining room.

best restaurants at yacht club disney

Best all-you-care-to-enjoy meal

If you're looking to indulge while on vacation but don't want to sit for a traditional character meal, then consider grabbing dinner at Ohana. An all-you-care-to-enjoy venue at the iconic Polynesian Village Resort , Ohana has been popular for a long time ... and for good reason.

At $62 for adults and $40 for kids, dinner at Ohana is an investment in both calories and cash. However, it's a must-do for any foodie, especially if you love the restaurant's Ohana noodles, signature bread, pork dumplings, bread pudding and more as much as we do.

Aim to time your meal around the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom so you can enjoy them from the dining room, which plays music set to the spectacle. Save time for a pre- or post-meal tiki cocktail at Trader Sam's for an epic (and delicious) evening outside the parks.

Pro tip: If you don't want the whole Ohana spread, you can get the noodles, pot stickers and bread pudding a la carte next to the restaurant at Tambu Lounge.

Best outdoor meals at Disney

The boathouse.

A fantastic outdoor dining experience, this waterfront Disney Springs restaurant is an ideal spot to savor some fresh seafood.

Start your meal with the exceptional honey butter rolls (which are complimentary and worthy of the trip all on their own), then fill up on seafood dishes like crabcakes ($32.50), tuna poke ($19.75) and macaroni and cheese with shrimp and andouille ($25). If you're not into seafood, don't fret: The cheeseburger ($19) and Yacht Club club sandwich ($22), both of which come with tasty fries, are also hits.

Geyser Point Bar & Grill

Overlooking Bay Lake at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, the open-air Geyser Point lounge is a walk-in spot well worth visiting, even if there's a wait to get in.

Menu items range from chicken wings in a teriyaki glaze ($15) to a bison cheeseburger topped with bacon ($23). A mix of cocktails is available, too, should you wish to imbibe after a busy day in the parks.

Best dinner show

Hoop-dee-doo musical revue.

If you like laugh-until-your-belly-hurts kind of fun, this is the restaurant for you. If the laughing doesn't make your belly ache, then the all-you-can-enjoy fried chicken and fixings will do the trick.

This dinner show at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is a Disney classic and a ton of fun for kids and adults, as long as you like singing along to American classics and laughing at corny jokes. The strawberry shortcake and bottomless sangria, wine and beer are additional reasons why you should check out this lively venue.

While prices vary depending on where you sit, expect to pay $66 to $74 per adult and $39 to $44 per child.

best restaurants at yacht club disney

Pro tip: If what you really want is your fix of the same fried chicken, cornbread and strawberry shortcake, you can get a full family meal deal that can feed up to four people for about $35 next door at Fort Wilderness at the Trail's End quick-service restaurant.

Honorable mentions

Roundup rodeo bbq.

If you are at Hollywood Studios and need a serious protein refuel with a side of childhood nostalgia, there's one clear winner: Roundup Rodeo BBQ.

Disney World's newest restaurant opened within Toy Story Land in the spring of 2023. It may not have character meet-and-greets or live entertainment (though there are voiceovers that occasionally yell that Andy is coming), but it's a cute addition to the park and serves a ton of mouthwatering food.

For $45 per adult and $25 per kid, you get an all-you-care-to-eat selection of meats, appetizers and desserts. On top of the beef brisket, smoked ribs, pork sausage and barbecue chicken that come standard with the meat platter, you have your choice of four can't-miss sides, such as macaroni and cheese, baked beans, loaded tater tots and fried pickles. As an added bonus, all tables get an order of homemade biscuits served with outrageously good sweet pepper jelly.

best restaurants at yacht club disney

Space 220 Restaurant

A newer addition to Epcot , Space 220 virtually transports diners 220 miles above Earth for a meal in "space."

While "dining in space," you can enjoy items like the Starry Calamari, the Galactic Miso Salmon, the Gemini Burger and the Spaceghetti & Shrimp, all of which are options within the multicourse, prix fixe menu that costs $55 at lunch and $79 at dinner for adults, and $29 for kids at either service. Extras like sides, desserts and alcoholic beverages (all with space-appropriate names) are available as well.

Although the food is solid (albeit pricey), the highlight of the experience is the feeling of blasting off and then dining above Earth. As you eat, you'll be able to spot ships and space tourists passing by the windows, an experience you won't get anywhere else at Disney World.

Pro tip: If you can't quite swing the high price or lack the time required for a multicourse meal, visit the lounge or bar to see if a walk-up spot or reservation is available. These high-demand options are a great way to get a taste of the experience for less.

best restaurants at yacht club disney

Yak & Yeti Restaurant

Yak & Yeti is both a sit-down and quick-service venue in Animal Kingdom, with the quick-service window offering a stripped-down version of the menu available inside.

Though Yak & Yeti isn't cheap, with main dishes starting at $21.49, the pan-Asian cuisine is quite good, making it one of our favorites at Animal Kingdom. The decor mimics what you'd expect to find while eating in a Nepalese market.

To keep your total check affordable, order one of the shareable plates like the ahi tuna nachos ($21.99). The portion size is plenty for two or more people.

Regal Eagle Smokehouse

Regal Eagle is a newer kid on Epcot's block.

Nestled within the American Adventure Pavilion in the space that previously housed the Liberty Inn, the eatery features a variety of barbecue plates and draft beers. However, unlike the barbecue spot in Toy Story Land, this option only offers a la carte items, which makes a meal cheaper and easier to share.

Purists hailing from barbecue meccas like central Texas won't necessarily fall in love with the fare, but the barbecue is good and a solid value (especially by Disney standards) for families, with entrees such as Kansas City Smoked Half-Chicken served with Texas Toast and a side of your choice clocking in at less than $15.

best restaurants at yacht club disney

The Crystal Palace

On the way to Adventureland from Main Street, U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom, this buffet restaurant offers good food and a few characters from the Hundred Acre Wood. Some even say the food at Crystal Palace is better than what's available at Cinderella's Royal Table.

Dishes you'll find here during lunch and dinner include seasonal salads, fried chicken covered in gravy, shrimp Creole and a dessert platter. While alcoholic drinks cost extra, all of the buffet's food is part of the set pricing of $61 per adult and $40 per child.

best restaurants at yacht club disney

To save a little money, skip the lunch and dinner service in favor of breakfast, which costs $48 per adult and $30 per child. The morning buffet features numerous breakfast staples, including yogurt, eggs, pastries and Mickey waffles, but it's known for one very special dish that you can't find anywhere else at Disney World – churro Mickey waffles. These waffles are covered in a crisp cinnamon-and-sugar coating that will have you making multiple return trips to the buffet.

best restaurants at yacht club disney

While you dine, Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Eyeore will make their way to your table for photos, hugs and autographs. You'll also receive a postcard with all of their signatures to take home with you.

Oga's Cantina

Oga's Cantina, the "Star Wars"-themed bar inside Hollywood Studios' Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, is really light on actual food items. However, the experience is so over-the-top and unique we had to include it on this list.

You're not really here for the food or even the quality of the drinks. Instead, you come to see DJ R-3X spin tunes and interact with the bartenders, who are in full costume and character. The vibe will turn even the most anti-"Star Wars" person into a smiling participant.

Make a reservation if you want to visit, even if just for a drink, as this spot gets very busy. Try the Fuzzy Tauntaun ($18.50) for a fun sensation.

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant

Cool and atmospheric, this restaurant is on a less-traveled walkway in Hollywood Studios. You can dine in your own "car" while watching old movies. Better yet, let your kids have their own car so you can eat in relative peace.

The menu is a la carte, ranging from hamburgers to pasta to salads. It's fairly easy to stay on budget here, especially if you share, as each entree costs $19 to $30.

The old movie clips shown aren't likely to hold your kids' attention, and the food isn't always the star of the show, but it's still a cool experience to try at least once, especially given how much the cast members really get into their roles.

Rose & Crown Dining Room

This Epcot take on British fare serves as a convenient spot to enjoy an authentic plate of fish and chips ($28) or bangers and mash ($25) without hopping across the pond.

If you can't or don't want to sit down, there's a to-go counter next to Rose & Crown that's often open to serve the classics to those on the run. But if you aren't in a hurry, make a reservation at Rose & Crown and enjoy the ambience while noshing on pub grub.

best restaurants at yacht club disney

California Grill

If you want an upscale Disney dinner that's not quite as fancy (or expensive) as Victoria & Albert's, try California Grill.

The check-in desk is on the second floor of Disney's Contemporary Resort , but the actual dining room resides on the 15th floor. This elevated location — which enforces a dress code, though it's not as strict as Victoria & Albert's — gives patrons phenomenal views of the sunset and nightly fireworks at the Magic Kingdom and surrounding resorts.

Currently, California Grill is a multicourse dining experience that costs $89 for adults and $39 for kids. Expect fresh foods inspired by the Pacific coast, such as sushi and sashimi, goat cheese ravioli, oak-fired Angus filet and fire-roasted venison on the menu.

Steakhouse 71

Newer to Walt Disney World is Steakhouse 71, another dining venue inside the Contemporary Resort . This restaurant, which replaces The Wave, ties its menu and stories back to the roots of Walt Disney and the opening of Disney World in 1971.

Menu standouts here are the sea salt-dusted potato brioche ($12), the Stack Burger with elevated touches such as lemon aioli and a brioche bun ($23), the Vegetable "Wellington" ($26), the signature chocolate cake that has 16 layers to match the 16 floors of the Contemporary ($11) and even the surprisingly delicious ambrosia ($8).

Narcoossee's

Recently redone as part of the broader renovation of the Grand Floridian, Narcoosee's is a very good Disney World restaurant for a dinner that is outside the park and not a set-price meal. The really solid menu focuses on Southern coastal cuisine such as shrimp and grits ($19), gulf shrimp bucatini ($42), sweet-and-sour Brussels sprouts with applewood bacon ($11) and an outstanding bread basket. The outside terrace that runs along the water is a prime spot to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks.

Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya

While not the best restaurant at Disney, Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya is the newest restaurant at Disney World. It's in the Japan Pavilion in Epcot and largely staffed by a crew from Japan. What's great about this option is that it feels somewhat authentic without locking you into a pricey set menu the way you'd find at nearby Takumi-Tei. Here, you can stop by for lunch or dinner and order as little as one roll if you want.

best restaurants at yacht club disney

This restaurant takes you through various seasons of the year, and while the sushi on my visit was just OK, the service was very good.

Being able to pop in for a proper sit-down and share an affordable (for Disney) item or two on a menu that goes beyond traditional options is not the worst idea. In addition to a variety of rolls and sushi options, there are options such as a Temaki Sushi Set that lets you create your own hand-rolled sushi with a variety of proteins and fillings ($32) and pan-fried grilled wagyu gyoza dumplings ($20 for three).

Our least-favorite Disney meals

Even with all the magical pixie dust at Disney World, there are misfires. While all of these may have their followings, for us, the food is either too common or bland, too off-the-beaten-path or just too overrun.

  • Akershus Royal Banquet Hall: Character dining is a big part of the Disney experience. You might think you can save a few dollars by dining with the princesses at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot instead of at Cinderella's Royal Table, but it's a poor substitute (unless you need a bite near the "Frozen" ride in Norway). Although your favorite princesses will join you for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the food just isn't on par with the other Disney eateries, and the types of cuisine may not be a hit with U.S.-centric families. That said, it's an easier reservation to snag than Cinderella's Royal Table, so keep it in your back pocket if you need a last-minute princess meal.
  • Teppan Edo: This spot in the Japan Pavilion at Epcot is another letdown, especially compared to the spectacular Takumi-Tei. The food here is decent, but there's not a lot of performance factor at this teppanyaki place. Frankly, we've seen better performances at a more reasonable price point in teppanyaki restaurants in strip malls closer to home. At Disney prices, there are better values for your hard-earned dollars, with themes you can't easily recreate elsewhere.
  • Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe: With a few exceptions, it's hard to find great food in the Magic Kingdom, but you should avoid the worst of the worst, which has recently been Pecos Bill. The quick-service menu looks interesting, with a mix of rice bowls, nachos, fajitas and burgers, but in the end, the service can be curt and the food a bit disappointing (and borderline inedible).
  • Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe: Another Magic Kingdom misfire is Cosmic Ray's. The menu is very limited to theme park staples such as chicken fingers, burgers and fries, which would be OK in theory if that's what you were after. In practice, Cosmic Rays can get very crowded and run behind with orders ... all for an average plate of stereotypical American fare. If you must eat here during peak times, mobile order well in advance.

Disney dining tips

  • Make your reservation well in advance, up to 60 days from the start of your trip. You can cancel or modify it if you change your mind, but it's good to have the option of being waited on in air conditioning. Services like Mouse Dining can help you keep an eye on availability if you don't want to constantly look for a spot at one of your favorites.
  • Book your Disney trip via an agent that specializes in Disney , such as our partners at Mouse Counselors , to get some professional help with snagging those hard-to-get dining reservations.
  • When ordering from a counter-service restaurant, do so via the My Disney Experience app to avoid wasting time in line waiting to order.
  • To rack up extra points, you can charge Disney meals to your room (using the app or your MagicBands ) and then earn a bonus on all your in-park meals by paying at resort checkout with a card that gives you a bonus on travel . Paying with Disney gift cards you purchased at a discount is another great way to save a bit while dining at some of Disney World's best restaurants.
  • If you have an annual pass, you can often save 10% at sit-down restaurants, so don't forget to ask for a discount.
  • If you pay for your Disney meal on the spot with a credit card, use one that gives you the best payout on dining. Most Disney World restaurants do code as dining charges, even within the parks. This means you can earn 4 points per dollar spent on dining at restaurants with the American ExpressÂź Gold Card or 3 points per dollar spent on dining with the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card , among other cards that are the best for dining .

There are a ton of fun activities to do on the Disney BoardWalk such as shopping and the many entertainment options, but perhaps none is better than enjoying all the amazing places to eat and drink. So look no further than this guide to the Disney BoardWalk restaurants.

chocolate cake Flying Fish restaurant BoardWalk

In this guide, we are going to cover all the best places to eat on the Disney BoardWalk , and let me tell you, there are a ton of them that are absolutely worth your time and money.

This is a huge reason why we love to stay at the EPCOT-area resorts and we’ve even had trips where every night we ate at the BoardWalk or nearby.

Other than Disney Springs, there are few places outside of the Disney Theme Parks that can match the excitement, entertainment, and dining of the Disney BoardWalk. You have table service restaurants, quick service, bars and lounges, and a bunch of snack stands all at your fingertips.

But how do you choose where to eat?

BoardWalk restaurants Disney World

Throughout this article, we will talk about the different Disney BoardWalk Restaurants and help YOU decide the perfect option for your travel party. We’ll also show you what to order at each restaurant, the best spots for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and how to make reservations for these restaurants.

Lastly, we’ll show you how to get to the Disney BoardWalk and answer any of your FAQs you may have. Again, we highly recommend reading our Disney BoardWalk Guide where we cover all the other entertainment and activity options you have during your visit.

Disney BoardWalk Restaurants Overview

Flying Fish restaurant Disney's BoardWalk

Inspired by the famous Coney Island district in New York City, the Disney BoardWalk is a quarter-mile-long stretch that is full of what you’d expect of a typical New York and New Jersey Boardwalk.

Lined with street performers, a few different boardwalk games, multiple bars, and of course table-service restaurant options for families to eat both inside and outside.

The Disney BoardWalk for those unfamiliar is located just outside of World Showcase in EPCOT, and a convenient walking distance away from Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park. It’s in a great location for guests staying at one of the EPCOT-area Resorts or for those visiting either one of the two nearby Disney Theme Parks (Hollywood Studios and EPCOT).

Eating on the Disney BoardWalk allows guests to get a little bit of a unique ambiance that you likely won’t get elsewhere in the Walt Disney World Resort . The nice thing about eating here is that you don’t have to worry about needing a park ticket! Admission is completely free for guests coming from elsewhere.

You’ll find various different options to eat at, allowing families with differing budgets to make the right choice for them. Let’s talk about the different options…

List of Disney BoardWalk Restaurants

Trattoria al Forno restaurant outside

Here is the full list of dining options on the Disney BoardWalk. These include family-friendly table-service options, signature dining experiences, snack stands, and other quick-service locations.

  • Flying Fish – Open for dinner only, this is a signature restaurant.
  • Jellyrolls Dueling Piano Bar – A dueling piano bar that offers drinks-only.
  • Leaping Horse Libations – The pool bar at the BoardWalk Inn Hotel offers snacks and drinks.

  • Trattoria al Forno – A family-friendly restaurant open for breakfast and dinner.

Best Restaurants on the Disney BoardWalk

Plate of breakfast food at Trattoria al Forno steak and potatoes

Let’s take a more in-depth look at each of these options. We will break them down into three categories:

  • Table Service Restaurants
  • Quick Service Restaurants
  • Bars & Lounges

While this is a post on Disney BoardWalk Restaurants, we’d feel remiss if we didn’t at least mention the different lounges and bars that are found on the Disney BoardWalk, even if they DON’T have food.

Taking a look at all these different options will help you decide which is best for your family and at what time and meal.

Table Service Restaurants

Our first choice of restaurant options on the Disney BoardWalk is the Table Service Restaurants. These include more traditional sit-down options allowing guests to relax and unwind while having a server wait on your table.

There are three different options for table service meals on the Disney BoardWalk.

Big River Grille & Brewing Works

Nachos from Big River Grille restaurant Disney's BoardWalk

  • Location: Between the store Thimbles & Threads and Jellyrolls
  • Meals: Lunch and Dinner
  • Cost: $$ – $$$
  • Type: Family-Friendly Restaurant
  • Cuisine: Microbrewery and Brew Pub-style Grub
  • Disney Dining Plan: Yes, 1 Table Service Credit

Big River Grille & Brewing Works is a popular pick for families due to its easy location, reasonable pricing, and both indoor and outdoor seating. Sitting outside gives guests the opportunity to enjoy the ONLY table service spot where you can people-watch and enjoy the ambiance of the Disney BoardWalk, especially in the evening hours.

The food here is fairly accessible even for pickier eaters and you’ll find typical pub-style food here such as nachos, burgers, ribs, tacos, etc…

While it isn’t great food in our opinion, it’s a solid family-friendly spot that will allow you to enjoy some of your favorite American comfort foods, without feeling guilty or breaking the bank. And sometimes that is all the family wants and needs!

Inside Big River Grille restaurant Disney's BoardWalk

Open for both lunch and dinner, you’ll likely be able to get a walk-up reservation at Big River Grille if you’re not visiting during peak weekend nights or have a particularly large family. We’ve often gotten a table with minimal wait. If you’d like a reservation, they are bookable on Open Table here .

What’s unique about Big River is that they are considered a microbrewery where they handcraft their own different ales and lagers on the premises. The beers rotate seasonally, but it’s worth trying some of their own specialty ones. You’ll even be able to watch them crafting them through the massive glass windows inside the restaurant.

What to Get:

Try the Beers – The beer is the best part of this restaurant. With 5 different specialty beers that have won different awards, we’d suggest trying them all! Our favorite is the Big River I.P.A.

Flying Fish

Red Snapper Flying Fish BoardWalk

  • Location: At the halfway point of the BoardWalk right next to Seashore Sweets
  • Meals: Dinner
  • Type: Signature Restaurant
  • Cuisine: Seafood Specialties inside a Contemporary American Restaurant
  • Disney Dining Plan: Yes, 2 Table Service Credits

Flying Fish is the highest-end upscale restaurant on the Disney BoardWalk and it requires 2 table service credits if you’re on the Disney Dining Plan. The restaurant was formerly known as the Flying Fish Cafe before dropping the Cafe part of the name and completely redesigning the interior of the restaurant to give it more of a sophisticated and luxurious dining experience.

We love Flying Fish as we find the meals and the service are second to none on the Disney BoardWalk if you’re open to splurging $45-$60-ish per entree. The meals here are beautifully presented while giving guests mouthwatering dishes with only the freshest of ingredients.

You’ll get some of the highest quality seafood meals here throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.

lights at Flying Fish restaurant Disney's BoardWalk

There is so much we like about the Flying Fish from the open kitchen to the stunning decor throughout the restaurant, including a jaw-dropping crystal flying fish chandelier!

Keep in mind though that the restaurant DOES have a dress code and requires guests to wear “attire that respects the restaurant’s sophisticated and upscale aesthetic.” Remember this is Disney after all, and while you should dress up slightly more than a normal Disney meal, you’re not expected to wear tuxedos for men or full-length dresses for women.

Slow-roasted Pork Belly – The pork belly at Flying Fish MIGHT be our favorite pork belly in all of Disney World. It’s incredible and literally melts in your mouth. It’s our favorite appetizer by far!

Seafood Trofie Pasta – A terrific entree, the seafood trofie pasta has a combination of shrimp, lobster, scallops, clams, and mussels. It’s rich but OH SO GOOD!

Trattoria al Forno

Ariel Trattoria al Forno restaurant character breakfast

  • Location: Located in-between AbracadaBar and the Pizza Window
  • Meals: Breakfast and Dinner
  • Cuisine: Italian-inspired Breakfast and Dinner

Trattoria al Forno is another family-friendly restaurant on the Disney BoardWalk that offers both breakfast and dinner. The food quality here is somewhere between Big River Grille and Flying Fish while being at a more reasonable price point. We think the price-to-quality ratio is significantly better than Big River Grille!

With a clear Italian inspiration, Trattoria al Forno offers unique dishes for both breakfast and dinner. We love the theming inside the restaurant with its classic Italian restaurant feel and open kitchen, enabling guests to watch the chefs prepare all of the dishes. There are some true stand-outs on the menu here at Trattoria al Forno, for both breakfast AND dinner.

chef baking bread at Trattoria al Forno

Trattoria al Forno previously offered a character breakfast called The Bon Voyage Adventure which featured Ariel, Prince Eric, Rapunzel, and Flynn Rider, although sadly the characters have not returned. The good news though, is the breakfast here is still very good.

Getting reservations here is fairly standard and it’s one of the easier character breakfasts to snag an ADR for and usually pretty easy for dinner as well. We enjoy Trattoria al Forno and think it’s certainly an under-the-radar spot that is sneaky good for both breakfast and dinner.

For Breakfast: We love both the Al Forno Eggs and the Oak-grilled Steak and Eggs entrees as they are both exceptional!

For Dinner: We love the Insalata Caprese appetizer with its massive hunk of House-made Burrata Cheese. For entrees, we thoroughly enjoy the Truffle Gnocchi as well as the Veal Osso Buco.

Quick Service Restaurants

Our next category on the Disney BoardWalk is Quick Service Restaurants. These options are quicker in nature, allowing guests to grab a quick bite or a drink while sitting inside or grabbing it to go.

Quick service options do NOT include a server and are generally cheaper than the table service offerings. But just because they are quicker does not imply that they are NOT good.

BoardWalk Deli

Disney BoardWalk Deli Sandwich ruben pastrami

  • Location: Located between BoardWalk Ice Cream and the Pizza Window
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
  • Cost: $
  • Type: Quick Service Grab and Go Options
  • Cuisine: Inspired by the Delis of the American Northeast Boardwalks
  • Disney Dining Plan: Yes for a Quick Service or Snack Credit

The former BoardWalk Bakery was rethemed to the BoardWalk Deli in 2022 with many of the same offerings of the former bakery.

Themed to the timeless charm of the Disney BoardWalk, the deli perfectly embodies the theming found throughout the BoardWalk. It’s also the ONLY spot on the Disney BoardWalk right now where you can grab breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

They are open generally from early in the morning until late into the evening, but be sure to check the hours because it is seasonal.

Boardwalk Deli cookies

And while it’s a wonderful quick service option, unfortunately, there is no interior seating for guests. You’ll have to grab your food and bring it to wherever you’re going or grab an outdoor table and chair if the weather is decent.

We like the revamped BoardWalk Deli, and there are a few options now that are real go-to’s for us when we visit. In addition to the previous bakery items that were excellent, there are some really good deli items that will truly make you feel as if you’re back in New York or New Jersey.

You won’t find a more versatile spot on the BoardWalk to get a large variety of different food items, whether you’re craving something savory or sweet. Kids and adults will all love the options here and it’s a great overall quick service spot for guests.

For Breakfast: We recommend trying the NJ Crumb Cake, as it’s a true authentic NJ experience. We also really like the Everything Bagel with Smoked Salmon.

For Lunch or Dinner: The Warm Pastrami Reuben is excellent and a massive portion for you to split with someone else.

BoardWalk Deli Lunch/Dinner Menu

BoardWalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas

BoardWalk Joe's Marvelous Margaritas

  • Location: Between the BoardWalk Bakery and the Pizza Window along the water
  • Meals: Lunch and Dinner
  • Type: Quick Service Margarita stand
  • Cuisine: Few Traditional Snacks

We could technically put this in either the Quick Service category or the bars/lounges category but we chose to put it here due to the fact that it’s a grab and go spot that does NOT have any kind of seating for guests. It’s more of a quick service option.

BoardWalk Joe’s is essentially a margarita stand along the BoardWalk that opens at lunchtime each day and stays open until the late hours of the evening. Guests strolling out of EPCOT or who are going into EPCOT can grab a margarita along the way! We love the various different margaritas they have here from ‘on the rocks’ to frozen options.

BoardWalk Joe’s options for food are limited, with essentially pretzels or nachos being your only options. It’s not really the place to come to if you’re looking for food or a place to grab dinner. It’s essentially a place to grab a drink and a snack while you continue on your BoardWalk stroll.

BoardWalk Joe’s is fine, and we like it for margaritas but don’t come here if you’re looking to fill up on food.

Patron Disney Select Anejo Margarita – If you’re looking for the tastiest and highest quality margarita on the menu, get this one! Made with Anejo and quality ingredients, it’s quite tasty!

BoardWalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas Menu

BoardWalk Ice Cream

cookies and cream ice cream cone

  • Location: The End of the BoardWalk, closest to EPCOT Walkway
  • Meals: Snack Only
  • Type: Quick Service Ice Cream Shop
  • Cuisine: Ice Cream
  • Disney Dining Plan: Snack credits for drinks ONLY

Replacing the former Ample Hills Creamery in 2021 that was found in the same location, the BoardWalk Ice Cream shop is a solid option for guests that are looking for a scoop of ice cream or even an ice cream sundae. They have a considerable amount of flavors, in addition to vintage beverages and milkshakes.

They serve the same Edy’s ice cream that they serve over at Beaches & Cream, which is found at the Beach Club Resort on the opposite side of the Disney BoardWalk. While we prefer Beaches & Cream due to the ambiance and the food offerings, the BoardWalk Ice Cream shop is a solid backup option for guests looking to grab a late-night sweet treat.

The prices here are considerably cheaper than other popular Disney Ice Cream shops such as Ghirardelli’s or even Beaches & Cream as you can find sundaes for $8 and under, which to me, is a giant win!

Bayside Brownie A la Mode – What’s better than a gooey Brownie mixed with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream? I don’t think anything!

Thunder Surf Peanut Butter and Chocolate Sundae – If you like peanut butter, you genuinely can’t go wrong with this amazing peanut butter and hot fudge sundae.

Carousel Coffee

Carousel Coffee at Disney's BoardWalk

  • Location: Inside BoardWalk Inn Lobby
  • Type: Quick Service Pastries and Coffee
  • Cuisine: American Coffee Shop
  • Disney Dining Plan: Yes for Quick Service and Snack Credits

The newest option on the Disney BoardWalk is Carousel Coffee which opened at the end of 2022. Located inside the BoardWalk Inn Resort, it’s a solid alternative to the BoardWalk Deli giving guests an option to grab a coffee and a treat. While some of the offerings are similar, there are a few unique items here that you can’t find elsewhere.

Unlike the BoardWalk Deli, Carousel Coffee has the same menu from the time it opens until the time it closes, around lunchtime. And when it comes to food here your options are several limited, as they only have snack offerings.

If you’re looking for a full breakfast or even a breakfast sandwich, you won’t get it here.

However, if you’re looking for a coffee and a quick pastry to start your day off, this can be a decent option for guests who don’t feel like heading down to the BoardWalk Deli. The food here is more limited than at the BoardWalk Deli, but the coffee here is significantly better with many more options.

Grab a Speciality Coffee – Get one of their different specialty coffees here and try the Crunchy Raspberry Danish. It’s really good!

Carousel Coffee Menu

Pizza Window

Pizza window entrance

  • Location: Between the BoardWalk Bakery and Trattoria al Forno
  • Type: Quick Service Pizza Take-Out Window
  • Cuisine: Pizza and Italian bites, including desserts and sangria
  • Disney Dining Plan: Yes for Quick Service and Snack Credits

This walk-up pizza window opens at lunchtime and stays open until late hours of the evening. They offer both cheese and pepperoni pizza, side salads, cannolis, beer, and sangria. This place gets a ton of heat from Disney fans as let’s just say the pizza isn’t Disney’s finest…

With that being said, there’s a place for subpar pizza as a late-night snack or just to fill a void in the middle of the day. While we are disappointed they don’t have three different types of pizza as well as the fact that you can’t order by the pie anymore, it’s still fine for what it is.

We don’t go here often nor should we recommend you do the same unless you’re looking for a beer, sangria, or a disappointing slice of pizza.

Cannoli or Beer – The mini cannolis here are pretty tasty! We also like the four different options they have for draft beer. There’s something refreshing about grabbing a beer and sitting on one of the benches overlooking the water on a nice day.

Pizza Window Menu

Bars & Lounges

And finally we’ve reached the final options on the Disney BoardWalk and those are the bars and lounges along the BoardWalk. Some of these offer different small bites, while some of them are JUST bars.

AbracadaBar

interior of Abracadabar bar BoardWalk

  • Location: Located between Trattoria al Forno and Flying Fish
  • Meals: Bar Snacks and Cocktails Only
  • Type: Sit-down Lounge
  • Cuisine: American-style Cocktail Lounge
  • Disney Dining Plan: No

This themed lounge is a terrific spot for adults to take in the story of a former secret haunt of Boardwalk Magicians and Entertainers. Everything inside this lounge is themed, allowing guests to be enchanted by the many different stories of these famous magicians.

The lounge opened up in 2016 and has been a great late-night spot for guests visiting the Disney BoardWalk or staying at one of the resorts. We LOVE this lounge for a number of reasons, but it’s absolutely worth visiting.

In fact, we ranked it inside our list of the Best Bars and Lounges at Disney World .

two cocktails at AbracadaBar

You’ll notice tiny artifacts and details all throughout the interior of this lounge, as you are engrossed in the story of these famous illusionists and magicians from past days. And while most guests come here for the delicious handcrafted cocktails, there are a few Bar Snacks that are offered between the hours of 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm each night.

While there is some outdoor seating, in the case of the AbracadaBar, we actually prefer sitting inside as the theming and the ambiance are unique to only THIS spot. Keep in mind this lounge doesn’t open until 4:00 generally.

Try One of the Cocktails – The presentation of these drinks is fantastic, our two favorites are the Coney Negroni and the Parlor Trick.

Abra Fries – If you like truffle fries, I cannot recommend these to you high enough! They are amazing!

AbracadaBar Menu

Atlantic Dance Hall

Atlantic Dance Hall Disney's BoardWalk

  • Location: At the very end of the BoardWalk near Jellyrolls
  • Meals: None
  • Type: Nightclub
  • Cuisine: None

Even though the Atlantic Dance Hall isn’t a restaurant nor does it offer food, but it’s worth mentioning on our list due to the fact that it’s here and they do offer a full-service bar.

The Atlantic Dance Hall is only open for guests 21 years of age and is only open from Thursdays – Sundays each week. This can be a fun spot to grab a cocktail and dance to your favorite tunes until the late hours of the evening.

Have a Cocktail – Grab a beer or a mixed beverage here as you enjoy some of your favorite songs to dance to.

Atlantic Dance Hall Disney Site

Belle Vue Lounge

Inside Disney's Boardwalk Inn Belvue Lounge

  • Location: Inside the BoardWalk Inn Hotel
  • Meals: None
  • Type: Vintage American-style Lounge
  • Cuisine: None

This highly-themed 1930s-era lounge is found inside the BoardWalk Inn lobby tucked away in the corner, and it’s also one of our favorite lounges in all of Walt Disney World. The theming inside is intricately themed to truly transport you to a different generation.

We LOVE it here, but sadly they do NOT have food. That’s the only flaw. There are times occasionally that the BoardWalk Inn Hotel utilizes the Belle Vue Lounge to offer some pastries and coffee, but this isn’t a daily event.

A true hidden gem on the Disney BoardWalk, this lounge offers you an oasis from the noise and commotion of the Disney BoardWalk, allowing you to enjoy a vintage and quiet good time!

We adore the Belle Vue Lounge but it isn’t the place to go if you’re looking for food!

Try One of Their Classic American Cocktails – We love both the Rye Manhattan and the Old Fashioned as both of these are terrific and classic!

Belle Vue Lounge Menu

Jellyrolls Dueling Piano Bar

Jelly Rolls on Disney's Boardwalk

  • Location: Near the end of the BoardWalk next to Big River Grille
  • Type: Piano Bar

Another fun adults-only spot on the Disney BoardWalk, Jellyrolls is the spot to go if you want to sing-along with the dueling piano players as they play classic hit after hit. Be prepared, there is a cover charge to enter Jellyrolls, generally $20 per person.

This lively nightspot is a great time for guests as they often come back for more or stay until the late hours, with the bar generally not closing until 2:00 am. Unlike the Atlantic Dance Hall, Jellyrolls is open every day of the week.

And like Atlantic Dance Hall, they also do NOT have any food items to order. But, they have free popcorn! And who doesn’t like free popcorn?

Grab a Drink and Free Popcorn: With popcorn being the only food offered here and a full-service bar, your only options are grabbing a drink at the bar and having some popcorn to tie you over. Did we mention there is some lousy pizza by the slice only a short walk away?

Jellyrolls Drink Menu

Leaping Horse Libations

Leaping Horse Libations Bar at Disney's BoardWalk

  • Location: BoardWalk Inn’s Luna Park Pool
  • Type: Quick Service Bar
  • Cuisine: Boardwalk-style American Food

Leaping Horse Libations is the pool bar and quick service location at the main pool at the BoardWalk Inn Resort. At this whimsical carousel-themed bar you’ll have the option to grab your favorite libation with some differing food options for both lunch and dinner.

Leaping Horse Libations serves guests from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm each day. The food here is fairly “cheap” for Disney standards and can be a decent option for both lunch or dinner if you just want something quick and budget-friendly.

The drinks here are standard pool-area drinks in addition to offering some rotating seasonal cocktails as well. Get your favorite frozen drink or ‘on the rocks’ cocktail as you enjoy sitting by the pool snacking on your food while sipping on your cocktail.

We wouldn’t recommend you go out of your way to eat here, but if you’re by the pool and just looking for something, it will more than suffice.

Pretzel Dog – Who doesn’t like a hot dog on a pretzel bun? This is our favorite food item on the menu.

Disney BoardWalk Restaurants Ranked

While the different BoardWalk Restaurants are all completely different, with each of them coming at various price points, we will do our best to rank them in order. We will base this on the best overall experiences.

scallops at Flying Fish BoardWalk

Here are our rankings of the different BoardWalk Restaurants:

  • Flying Fish – The best all-around restaurant with the highest quality presentation, food offerings, and service. It’s hard to top the seafood found at Flying Fish, but don’t discount some of the meat offerings as well. And while it’s a pretty penny to eat here, it’s absolutely worth the splurge!
  • BoardWalk Deli – The only option for breakfast, lunch, and dinner is the BoardWalk Deli. We love some of the offerings here as it’s the perfect place to grab a quick bite to eat. Whether you want a quick treat or something more filling, they have it all here.
  • AbracadaBar – One of our favorite themed lounges in Walt Disney World, we love the AbracadaBar! In addition to the terrific concoctions they have in the way of cocktails, don’t sleep on their truffle fries and their margarita pizza.
  • Jellyrolls Dueling Piano Bar – One of the most fun places to visit in all of Walt Disney World, Jellyrolls is such a fun night if you’re having a Disney Adult night! While you won’t find food here, it’s a great time to sing along to all of your favorites.
  • Trattoria al Forno – A solid all-around restaurant with both good breakfasts and underrated dinners. Many people have it among their favorite Italian restaurants in Disney. It’s not a bad choice and the prices are very reasonable considering the decent quality.
  • Belle Vue Lounge – A quick and tucked away lounge in the BoardWalk Inn, we love the Belle Vue Lounge. They have a massive cocktail menu, with all of your favorite American cocktails. While we are disappointed they don’t have food, this is a great spot to get away from the noise.
  • Big River Grille & Brewing Works – The food here is just OK, but the beers and the good times roll at this restaurant. We like the opportunity to be able to sit outside on the BoardWalk and enjoy the ambiance.
  • Leaping Horse Libations – A decent pool bar that lacks a great plethora of options for guests, but the few things they DO have are pretty good. You’ll also love the fun Boardwalk-themed ambiance of the pool area here.
  • BoardWalk Ice Cream – This fairly standard ice cream shop doesn’t quite live up to Ample Hills in terms of freshness or quality, but the BoardWalk Ice Cream shop is fine. And you’ll get some good sundaes for reasonable prices.
  • Carousel Coffee – This interior BoardWalk Inn coffee shop meets the needs of coffee drinkers while being a bit underwhelming in the food department. It’s a BoardWalk Deli Lite of sorts.
  • Atlantic Dance Hall – The Atlantic Dance Hall CAN be a fun night on busier evenings on the Disney BoardWalk, but far too often we find it quiet and underwhelming. Factoring that with the idea that there isn’t any food offered here, and it disappoints more times than it excites.
  • BoardWalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas – There’s a place in the world for pretzels and margaritas, and this margarita stand more than meets the needs of most guests. While it’s certainly limited, it serves its purpose!
  • Pizza Window – And coming in at last on our list is the pizza window! Possibly the worst pizza in all of Disney World, the pizza window takes the cake for the worst BoardWalk spot to grab food. With that being said, I’m kinda hungry right now, I could go for some cardboard pizza!

Other Restaurants Near the Disney BoardWalk

Inside Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney's Yacht Club

In addition to those restaurants that are directly on the Disney BoardWalk, there are also a considerable number of additional options for food that are found at the 5 resorts along Crescent Lake, just a short walk away from the Disney BoardWalk.

While they are not technically “on the BoardWalk,” they are still considered “in the BoardWalk area.”

These include Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Walt Disney World Swan, Walt Disney World Dolphin, and the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve Hotels.

We will touch on the options at each of these different hotels and resorts for food. Let’s start with Disney’s Beach Club Resort.

  • Crew’s Cup Lounge – The lounge just outside of Yachtsman Steakhouse. They share a kitchen and have a solid drink menu in addition to some tasty eats.

Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort

Cantonese Lobster Todd English Bluezoo Disney World

  • Shula’s Steak House – A high-end signature dining experience at the Dolphin with terrific cuts of beef. You’ll find some real standouts here at Shula’s as it’s an upscale experience on traditional white tablecloths. You’ll definitely want to dress up for this one!

Walt Disney World Swan Resort

Veal Saltimbocca Il Mulino Walt Disney World Swan Resort

  • Il Mulino – One of our favorite Italian Restaurants in all of Walt Disney World. Ill Mulino is found on the left side of the hotel as soon as you walk in and includes some really wonderful pasta dishes on the menu.
  • Kimonos – If you like sushi, this is the place to be! Kimonos also doubles down as a karaoke bar. This is a fun place to grab some sushi or sing your favorite tune!
  • Garden Grove – An underrated table-service breakfast offering that allows guests to grab reasonably priced breakfasts. Garden Grove USED to have character dining, but they do NOT at this time. It is ONLY open for breakfast.
  • Splash Pool Bar & Grill – A more casual pool bar and grill that offers cocktails and lounge food at the smaller pool area at the Swan.
  • Chill – A counter-service bar inside the Swan that offers different chilled and frozen drinks.
  • Java –  A quick-service breakfast cafe inside the Swan that delivers a number of specialty coffee drinks and some quick grab-and-go food items.

Walt Disney World Swan Reserve

Spaghetti and Clams Amare Walt Disney World Swan Reserve

  • Amare – A table-service Mediterranean-inspired restaurant that offers excellent options for guests. Amare is open for both breakfast and dinner. We’ve enjoyed our meals here and think it’s a great hidden gem.
  • Grounds – The grab-and-go quick-service option at Swan Reserve is perfect for guests who want to grab a coffee, a pastry, or a premade sandwich.
  • Tangerine – A poolside bar and grill that has a number of different tasty drinks while also having casual lunch-style food items.
  • Stir – An Italian-inspired lounge that offers Chef’s selection of different appetizers. Stir is found in the lobby area of the hotel.

Best Breakfast at Disney BoardWalk Area

breakfast plate at Cape May Cafe

As we talked about in our top breakfasts in Disney World , our favorite breakfast in the Disney BoardWalk Area would have to be Cape May Cafe , inside Disney’s Beach Club Resort. It’s reasonably priced, has tasty offerings, and even includes a fun character meal!

Best Lunch at Disney BoardWalk Area

view of Disney's Yacht Club Resort from across Crescent Lake

If we’re looking for a fabulous lunch at or near the BoardWalk, we’d more times than not choose the BoardWalk Deli . They have some tasty sandwiches and great snack offerings.

Plus it’s reasonably priced and you can even sit outside while you’re enjoying your lunch while looking out at beautiful views across Crescent Lake.

Best Dinner at Disney BoardWalk Area

ribeye steak at Yachtsman Steakhouse Yacht Club

This is VERY hard for us to decide, and can alter greatly depending on our mood. I’d give the slight edge to the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club Resort. It’s quite possibly our favorite steak on Disney Property. Although Flying Fish is a VERY close second option.

Best Bar/Lounge in the Disney BoardWalk Area

AbracadaBar Disney's BoardWalk

Our favorite bar or lounge in the BoardWalk area has to be the AbracadaBar ! This highly-themed and experiential lounge is a terrific time for guests looking to be entertained, immersed in a story, and get good food and drinks!

New Restaurants Coming to the Disney BoardWalk

The Cake Bake Shop Disney's Boardwalk

Disney recently announced that the popular Blue Ribbon Corn Dog spot in Disneyland will now have a spot on the Disney BoardWalk! They haven’t given an exact date, but we assume it will be inside the location that was the former To-Go Cart.

Blue Ribbon Corn Dog is famous for their unique flavors of corn dogs, including the fan-favorite pickle and peanut butter corn dogs!

Also opening sometime soon, hopefully in early 2024, is The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers .

This chain restaurant that comes from Indiana will offer guests another table-service option on the Disney BoardWalk. They will also have an adjoining shop next to the restaurant which will enable guests to enjoy some bakery treats.

How to Get to the Disney BoardWalk

Disney Skyliner car Pirates of the Caribbean dog holding keys

Getting to the Disney BoardWalk is fairly simple, considering it’s right next to the back entrance via the International Gateway from EPCOT. It’s within walking distance of Hollywood Studios as well.

There are AT LEAST 6 different ways to get to the Disney BoardWalk. They are:

Taking the Skyliner

If you are on or near the Disney Skyliner you can take it to EPCOT, and it will drop you within a 2-minute walk of the Disney BoardWalk. Upon departing the Skyliner walk over the bridge to your left and you’ll be on the BoardWalk.

This makes it easy to get to from any of the Skyliner Resorts including the Caribbean Beach, Riviera, Pop Century, and Art of Animation resorts.

Taking the Boat

The Friendship Boats around Crescent Lake stop at multiple stops along the different Disney World Resorts around EPCOT and Hollywood Studios . Regardless of which park you’re coming from, simply take the boat stop that takes you directly to the BoardWalk Inn Hotel. You’ll be right there!

Disney's BoardWalk Inn Resort and Friendship Boats

Taking a Disney Bus

While this isn’t a direct way to the Disney BoardWalk via the Disney Buses, if you take a Disney Bus to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios, you can easily get to the BoardWalk from either of these two parks. You can either take a Disney Boat OR walk there.

Keep in mind though that at EPCOT, you’ll have to enter the park and walk to the back exit of the park via the International Gateway. At Hollywood Studios, you DON’T need to enter the park and instead find the simple walking pathway near the bus stops.

Walking is incredibly simple if you’re staying at one of the other BoardWalk-area Resorts OR if you’re visiting Hollywood Studios or EPCOT. It’s fairly self-explanatory. If you’re exiting EPCOT via the International Gateway it’s extremely easy.

walking along Disney's BoardWalk Inn Resort

If you’re staying off-site and you have access to a vehicle OR if you’re staying on-site and if you have your own vehicle driving is extremely easy. You’ll find a large parking area for guests visiting the Disney BoardWalk.

Taking the Monorail

While this isn’t the easiest route to get here, it can be done. This could be an option for guests leaving Magic Kingdom or who want to get to the Disney BoardWalk via the different Monorail Resorts. So how can it be done?

  • First, you’d take the monorail over to EPCOT (Have to transfer at the TTC)
  • Once you get to EPCOT, you will need to enter the park and then walk through the entire length of the park until you get to the back entrance/exit through World Showcase (In the France Pavilion)
  • Exit the park there, and you can then either take one of the Friendship Boats or walk another couple minutes to the Disney BoardWalk

It can be done but it requires walking and TIME. I’d plan for at least an hour if you’re going this route.

Disney BoardWalk Restaurants that Have Closed Permanently

ESPN Club Restaurant Disney's BoardWalk

For guests who haven’t visited Walt Disney World in the last few years, you’ll be surprised to know that some restaurants and kiosks have unfortunately closed. Which ones?

  • ESPN Club – The one that makes us saddest is the ESPN Club. We’ve had MANY good moments here over the years watching the big sporting events (like the Super Bowl) and enjoying the big screen televisions while enjoying a number of appetizers. Sadly it closed in early 2022 and will be replaced by the new Cake Bake Shop.
  • Kouzzina – Unfortunately, this Mediterranean-inspired restaurant was closed in 2014 and was replaced by Trattoria al Forno. We liked Kouzzina and thought it offered unique food you couldn’t find elsewhere.
  • Funnel Cake Cart – Another quick-service cart along the BoardWalk that sadly has not reopened. We will miss grabbing our late-night funnel cakes!
  • Ample Hills Creamery – Another favorite of ours, we loved this authentic ice cream shop that had unique flavors and really good ice cream. Too bad it was closed and replaced with the more generic BoardWalk Ice Cream.
  • The BoardWalk To Go Cart – Unfortunately, this little kiosk along the BoardWalk has closed. It was formerly a great spot to stop at if you were looking for something quick such as a hot dog, french fries, mozzarella sticks, and even burgers!

Disney Springs vs Disney BoardWalk Restaurants

Oysters and shrimp at The Boathouse Restaurant Disney Springs

While we LOVE some of the options along the Disney BoardWalk , especially when you include the BoardWalk-area restaurants such as Yachtsman Steakhouse, Cape May Cafe, Beaches & Cream, etc…. The truth of the matter is NOWHERE can come close to the options at Disney Springs.

While there are comparable restaurants when it comes to the ‘Best Of’ selections at both venues, Disney Springs just has MORE options that are both incredible and vastly different.

They have more signature dining experiences, better quick service options, and innumerable places to grab snacks and desserts.

It’s practically impossible to top Disney Springs, and it IS impossible in Walt Disney World to beat it when it comes to food.

What Type of Cuisine Do the Disney BoardWalk Restaurants Serve?

The cuisine you’ll find at the Disney BoardWalk Restaurants is reminiscent of what you’d find at a typical New York or New Jersey Boardwalk. While there is certainly some Italian influence there are also plenty of seafood dishes.

This is in addition to your typical American comfort foods which you’ll find at all of the BoardWalk Restaurants.

Can You Walk Around the Disney BoardWalk for Free?

Disneys's Boardwalk Inn sign entrance

Yes! The Disney BoardWalk is completely free to walk around. The only time you’d have to pay is if you’re entering the front entrance of EPCOT to get there, which is closer to the back entrance of EPCOT.

But that wouldn’t make sense so just take transportation from somewhere else.

Is it Worth Visiting Disney BoardWalk?

Absolutely! We love visiting the Disney BoardWalk, and it’s one of our favorite free things to do in Walt Disney World .

Do You Need a Reservation to Get Into Disney BoardWalk?

Nope. While it is certainly helpful to have a reservation at the restaurants on the Disney BoardWalk, you don’t need an actual reservation to walk around the Disney BoardWalk.

Can I Use the Disney Dining Plan at the BoardWalk Restaurants?

salad from Flying Fish restaurant BoardWalk

Yes! All of the restaurants on the BoardWalk accept the Disney Dining Plan in some form. Some of them are 1 dining credit and some of them are 2 dining credits.

Or you can utilize the snack or quick service snacks if you’re grabbing quicker bites.

The restaurants at the Swan, Dolphin, and Swan Reserve DO NOT accept the Disney Dining Plan, so no Shula’s or Il Mulino.

Are there Vegetarian/Vegan Options at the Disney BoardWalk?

Yes, all of the restaurants on the BoardWalk will have vegetarian and vegan options. I’d suggest asking your waiter for suggestions on the menu.

What is the Dress Code for Disney BoardWalk Restaurants?

Like most of Disney, most of the Boardwalk restaurants have a more relaxed vacation dress code. This essentially means there is NO dress code. The one exception on the Disney BoardWalk is Flying Fish, which has more of a business casual dress code.

When Will the Bon Voyage Breakfast Return to Trattoria al Forno?

We don’t know, but we hope it does come back! We loved the Bon Voyage Breakfast, which allowed guests to have another character breakfast option on the Disney BoardWalk.

What Replaced the ESPN Club at Disney World?

The Cake Bake Shop will be officially replacing the ESPN Club when it officially opens sometime in 2024. This restaurant was created by actress Gwendolyn Rogers and will feature both a table-service restaurant and a bakery.

Making Dining Reservations

dining room at Flying Fish restaurant Disney's BoardWalk

If you’re planning a trip to Walt Disney World, it’s almost imperative that you make dining reservations or ADRs ( Advanced Dining Reservations ) as they’re often referred to.

Disney now allows guests who are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort to make their reservations 60 days prior to the start of their trip. This makes planning a Disney Vacation incredibly important.

For some families, this can be a lot of fun, for other families it can be a giant hassle and a stress to have to worry about! While we absolutely recommend you plan your meals and have an idea of places you’d like to go, it’s not imperative that you make your own dining reservations. Why?

Utilizing a Disney Vacation Planner has gotten more and more popular due to the amount of hassle, work, stress, and time it takes to plan your vacation. Even the most knowledgeable Disney Fans and frequent vacationers, like us, LOVE utilizing a Disney Vacation Planner to help plan our trip.

Citrus dessert from Flying Fish BoardWalk

They can do practically everything for you, from making your ADRs to helping you plan every moment of your vacation… if you want. That’s why we absolutely recommend beginner or intermediate-level Disney travelers to utilize one! The one we love more than the rest is Show You the World Travel.

Their team is incredible and they’ve treated my family and all our readers tremendously who have utilized them. We’ve been recommending them for years. Don’t worry they won’t cost you a penny! Reach out to them and see how they can help you plan your Disney World Vacation!

Where Can You Eat at the BoardWalk Without Reservations?

Plate of breakfast food from Trattoria al Forno Disney's Boardwalk Inn

While it’s not vital that you make reservations, especially if you have a smaller party, it certainly helps. But if you don’t get reservations it’s still possible to get into most of the BoardWalk restaurants WITHOUT a reservation.

If you’re going as a walk-in, I suggest getting there either as soon as they open and asking if they can squeeze you in. Be flexible and willing to eat either very early or later in the evening.

You’ll likely have no problem getting into places like Big River Grille and Trattoria al Forno , especially if you’re not visiting Walt Disney World during the peak vacation weeks.

More popular places like Flying Fish, Beaches & Cream, and the Cape May Cafe will likely be far higher without a reservation.

Ziggy Knows Disney close

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.

Best Pools at Disney World at Where to Find Them

W hen you’re planning a Disney World vacation, choosing a resort can be tough! There are so many good options to choose from, but which is best? Well, if you’re planning on spending time at your resort, then the resort pool may be something to consider.  We are sharing the best pools at Disney World to help you decide which one is right for you!

Best Pools at Disney World

“Best” is always subjective, right? Right. But, when it comes to the best pools at Disneyworld, some pools just offer more than others. We’ve rounded up our top pools at Disney so you can see for yourself which is in fact the best. Now these aren’t ranked in any specific order because honestly, I am just too indecisive for that. If you’re new to Disney resorts, just a reminder that Disney pools are only meant for guests staying there. So if you want to enjoy one of these pools, be sure to book a room!

Stormalong Bay at Yacht and Beach Club

Not a shock to anyone, but Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club is obviously at the very top of the list. Often the reason many are willing to spend as much as Yacht and Beach Club room prices demand, this pool is by far on of the absolute best pools at Disneyworld. Stormalong Bay is the perfect vacation destination when it’s hot out. And even when it’s a bit chilly!

Complete with a very cool, 230-foot Pirate Ship water slide, lazy river and 3 whirlpool spas. And one of the best parts? The pool area not only has sandy sections for lounging as well as sandy areas for the kids to play in, but the pool itself has a sandy bottom. So, if you’re trying to get your beach fix, but in Central Florida instead of on the coast, this is as close to the real thing as you’ll probably get!

Lava Pool at Disney’s Polynesian Resort

Disney’s Polynesian Resort is an oasis really. With soft, white sandy beaches, relaxing music, and views of Magic Kingdom, this has been one of our favorite Disney resorts for some time. We love resort hopping at Disney here to escape the chaos of the Parks at times during midday breaks and grab a dole whip, of course. And aside from everything else that makes this resort so wonderful, their pool is just fantastic. The Lava Pool at the Polynesian Resort not only has a zero entry point, but it also features a 142-foot-long waterslide. And the pool is surrounded by lush greenery that makes you really feel like you’re living your best island life.

Fuentes Del Morro Pool at Caribbean Beach Resort

People have very mixed opinions when it comes to Caribbean Beach Resort . Sure, the addition of the Skyliner, new restaurants and the new Little Mermaid rooms have made the resort more appealing to more people. But it’s still a huge resort. And regardless of how you feel about the resort itself, the pool is very cool. With two waterslides, one that’s over 100 ft long, this pool area is themed to that of a Colonial Spanish Fortress. With water canons that adds to the fun, this pool is always a hit with guests. And it has a great splash area for kids, which is designed as a pirate shipwreck area.

Dig Site at Coronado Springs – Lost City of Cibola Pool

Coronado Springs Resort is another resort that people either love or hate. It’s huge, the conferences can make some people uncomfortable there, and the busses are usually packed to the brim. But it’s also home to Gran Destino Tower . Which has brought along with it new restaurants and lounges. Really making it a little bit of a destination all its own. At the Dig Site, you’ll find that the Lost City of Cibola Pool at Coronado is often touted as one of the best pools at Disney World. One thing we love about it? It’s not near the main building. This is great because it really splits up the congestion that can tend to happen when everything is so close together.

Themed to Mayan Ruins, the pyramid that graces this pool is 50 ft tall! The Dig Site also has the largest hot tub at Disneyworld that can hold 22 people. In the Dig Site area, you’ll also find a white sand beach for volleyball, Siesta’s Pool Bar and the Iguana Arcade. The layout of the Dig Site makes it easy to enjoy more than just the pool.

So, what do you think is the BEST pool at Disney? Did your top pick make our list?

‘Game of Thrones’ actor sues LAPD and L.A. County over false pedophile case

Joseph Gatt, left, is photographed with a woman at a 2013 event for 'Star Trek Into Darkness.'

Actor Joseph Gatt has appeared in numerous films and TV shows, including “Game of Thrones” and the live-action “Dumbo” movie from Disney. But in the early hours of April 6, 2022, police officers and detectives swarmed his home and arrested him.

In the days after, his face was attached to a Los Angeles Police Department news release asking the public for help to find “any additional victims,” announcing that Gatt was arrested on suspicion of communicating with a minor in a sexually explicit manner.

But over the course of the next year, the case against him fell apart.

On Thursday, Gatt sued Los Angeles County, Dist. Atty. George GascĂłn, the city of Los Angeles and the investigators who built the faulty case against him.

Prosecutors dropped all charges against the 52-year-old British actor in February.

When his case was dismissed, Gatt took to Instagram to say that he and his team were ready to present “overwhelming evidence” in court showing that the accuser manufactured evidence, that the search of his home was “illegal,” and that the case was marred by prosecutorial misconduct.

He wrote to Gascón, “I hope you read this.”

“It’s happening under your watch, right now,” Gatt said. “I voted for you and still believe you’re the best candidate, but this is exactly the kind of corruption you promised to clean up.”

Venusse Dunn, a spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office, said the case was dismissed due to “valid concerns regarding the sufficiency of the evidence.” She did not respond to additional questions about the investigation into Gatt. The case was dismissed “in the interest of justice” on Feb. 9, according to court records, the same day a preliminary hearing was scheduled where Gatt could have aired his allegations in open court.

Gatt’s lawsuit alleges prosecutors and police failed to thoroughly investigate the claims made against him, including failing to conduct a forensic analysis of the victim’s phone or even interview her until after the actor was arrested and faced public scrutiny over the charges.

The lead prosecutor on the case, Angela Brunson, “resigned” from the D.A.’s office shortly before the case was dismissed, according to the lawsuit. Court records now show she works for the Riverside County district attorney’s office. She did not respond to an email request for comment.

A high-level source in Gascón’s office, who requested anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the case with the media, said the lawsuit has triggered an internal review of how the case was handled. The source said they “would not be surprised” if there was merit to Gatt’s allegations.

Prosecutors based their case on the allegations made by a girl in Kent, Wash., whom Gatt calls an obsessed fan. The girl’s older sister found fake Snapchat conversations on the girl’s phone about a year before Gatt’s arrest and took pictures of the conversations with her phone, according to Gatt’s 38-page federal lawsuit filed in the Central District of California.

The older sister uploaded the photos to a Google Drive and sent a link to the Kent Police Department. The older sister also uploaded two images of men who did not have clothes on, but their genitalia and their faces were not shown, Gatt said.

The men in the pictures were not Gatt, according to his complaint, but the images were taken by a second phone, thus removing the ability to verify the data through the actual photos.

When police searched Gatt’s Beverly Grove home, they took a purple blanket that could be seen in images the actor had shared on his social media accounts. One of the images taken from the Snapchat conversations on the girl’s phone showed a faceless man lying on top of a purple blanket, which looked similar to the one in Gatt’s home, but is not unique, according to the complaint.

The Snapchat conversations sent to police appeared to be snippets of the same conversations but with different responses. One supposedly showed Gatt writing that he and his partner had an arrangement that allowed him to pursue other relationships. Other screenshots show the same questions but with different responses, as though someone were trying out different answers with a software program.

“That conversation never happened; Jane Doe created it out of thin air,” Gatt said.

When Kent police tried to contact the 16-year-old girl, her older sister replied via email that “no further assistance is needed.”

Police noted in the case that they “did not find probable cause of a crime regarding the messages,” according to the lawsuit.

A month later, the girl agreed to an interview with investigators with her brother-in-law present. She admitted to police that she had a crush on Gatt and claimed that Gatt had engaged in sexually explicit conversations that turned out to be false, Gatt said.

Calls and e-mails to the Kent Police Department were not immediately returned Friday. The LAPD declined to comment due to the pending lawsuit.

Kent police referred the case to police in Los Angeles, where it was eventually presented to the district attorney’s office and Brunson took over. Gatt claims that the prosecutor has a “bias and personal animosity” against him, but he did not elaborate on the nature of the bias in his lawsuit.

As a result of his arrest, Gatt’s agent and the public relations firm that represented him dropped him as a client. He lost acting roles, and scenes he had already filmed for two other movie projects were cut or reshot with different actors, according to Gatt.

He stopped receiving any new offers for work, was forced to sell his car and received death threats, according to the lawsuit.

His lawsuit goes beyond blaming law enforcement for casting him as a “serial pedophile without any evidence or probable cause,” and accuses police and prosecutors of breaches of fundamental practices and a disregard for due diligence.

“These charges originate entirely from the unverified story of Jane Doe, a then 16-year-old whom Gatt did not know and has never actually met, and whom [investigators] did not even bother to interview or even remotely assess for credibility until almost one year after arresting Gatt and prosecuting him,” the suit said.

Gatt is seeking more than $40 million in damages.

The 8 Best Restaurants in Moscow

From the traditional to the modern, fine dining destinations in Moscow celebrate the best that Russian cuisine has to offer.

By Elite Traveler

With many of the best restaurants in Moscow also doubling as bars and clubs, the atmosphere is nearly always one step away from a party, and many of the city’s elite come dressed to impress. Of course, there are still many elegant and family friendly restaurants for those who prefer a quieter evening. With such a large selection available, Elite Traveler has compiled a suitable list for diners of all persuasions.

Café Pushkin

Designed to recreate the feel of a 19th century aristocrat’s house, CafĂ© Pushkin has become one of the most popular restaurants in Moscow, thanks to the quality of its food, impeccable service and the excellent vodka selection. The atmosphere of pre-Revolution Russia is delightfully charming, from the flowery script of the menu to aristocratic country house dĂ©cor. Pushkin is the ideal destination if you want to be treated like Russian nobility and dine like a Tsar – but book ahead, the restaurant’s popularity requires reservation well in advance.

cafe-pushkin.ru

Lavishly decked out with chandeliers and hand-painted furniture, the menu selection may come as a surprise to first-time guests, with options ranging from Pi Pa duck with melon and truffle to beefsteak with foie gras. Turandot puts a French spin on pan-Asian cuisine, and does so with incredible style and boldness. Whilst the interior décor is certainly to be marvelled at, it is the thoughtfully conceptualized and perfectly executed menu options that make for an incredible dining experience.

The company has a reputation for the high quality of its restaurants that grace the streets of the capital, and Buono is no exception. The views from Buono are unashamedly spectacular, while the décor is elegant, with soft creams complementing the fine views on offer. The food is classical Italian; Chef William Lamberti is well known throughout Europe and has created an excellent menu. The interior at Piccolino, one of the best Italian restaurants in Moscow

Italian for ‘small’, Piccolino is a cozy, homely restaurant – something of a rarity in Moscow.

Serving typical Italian food, the family friendly establishment is laid back, but this doesn’t compromise the quality of the food: good, hearty portions that are exceptionally tasty. The interior of Piccolino has been designed to replicate that of a large country house, and the dĂ©cor is entirely fitting with the atmosphere of the restaurant. In a city where many of the establishments value the names of their guests over the quality of their dishes, Piccolino is the place to come if your preference is quality of food rather than famous faces.

Twin Gardens

With two tasting menus and an Ă  la carte option, the Twin Gardens at the heart of Moscow caters to any palette. With the restaurant concept based on the symbiosis of science and nature, their Vegetables set menu explores all manner of produce from seedling to peeling, delicately plated in a tasteful homage to the natural life cycle of wild plants and flowers. For more adventurous types, their Rediscover Russia menu offers a culinary tour of various local specialties found in provinces across the vast continent. They also have a wide selection of Russian wines.

OAK HALL, CDL

Located in an elegant 19th century mansion, CDL is one of the most sophisticated restaurants in Moscow.

The interior has been gorgeously designed to recreate the grandeur of the Silver Age of Russian culture, with antique balustrades and bas-reliefs throughout the Oak Hall main room. The staircase in the Oak Hall is a particular masterpiece; it was built without a single nail or screw. The fireplace is equally impressive and has been used as a meeting room by President Dmitry Medvedev. Guests can also hire additional rooms such as the Cigar Room and the Cabinet Room. A menu of authentic Russian cuisine has been created by top chef Alexander Popov, with organic dishes bursting with flavor and a splendor to match the opulent surroundings. With so much luxury and class on display, it’s little wonder that former US Presidents Ronald Reagan and George Bush have chosen to dine here. Situated in the center of the city between Bolshaya Nikitskaya 53 and Povarskaya Ulitsa 50, it’s worth booking ahead to avoid disappointment.

With a domed window inviting soaring views of the Moscow cityscape, White Rabbit has recently undergone extensive renovations, to both its interior and its menu. Renowned architect Natalia Belonogova has transformed the restaurant into an airy, modern space, perfected by the addition of a summer veranda. To connect the dining options with the new interior, head chef Vladimir Mukhin has created a new menu, Metamorphoses, to reflect the lifecycle of the mayfly butterfly.

Delight your palette with scallop, strawberries and blackcurrant or, for dessert, dandelion honey with melted cottage cheese. This summerlike and refreshing menu has its roots in Russian soil and its head in the clouds above Moscow’s skyline.

O2 lounge at dusk

One of the best places to see and be seen, the O2 Lounge is half stylish seafood restaurant and half trendy pre-club hangout.

The food on offer is delicious Japanese fare, with sumptuous sushi prepared in front of diners by the team of talented chefs led by Nicholas Courtois. Located on the 12th floor of the Ritz-Carlton hotel, the restaurant has spectacular panoramic views over Red Square and The Kremlin. After dark the restaurant becomes one of the coolest bars in town, with award-winning cocktails and a selective wine list.
