PIACERE Yacht – Inside Rossinavi’s 49.95m Superyacht

Measuring in at an impressive 49.95m the PIACERE yacht was built by Rossinavi and delivered in 2021. With a beam length of 8.8 meters and a draft of 2.45 meters, she has a volume of 499 tonnes.

The interior of the PIACERE yacht was carefully designed by Enrico Gobbi. She was designed by using a combination of walnut with a matte finish.

Throughout the vessel, there are white lacquered surfaces with marble accents to maximize feelings of spaciousness.

On board PIACERE there is room for 11 guests and 11 crew with the accommodation on the lower deck.

Other noteworthy amenities include the beach club which is in the stern of the vessel as well as a large tender garage.

Exteriorly designed by Horacio Bozzo Design, the PIACERE yacht offers optimal space for guests to relax and dine.

The main aft deck is shaded by the upper deck while stairways connect the lower deck and the beach club.

PIACERE has plenty of room for lounging and sunbathing offering gorgeous panoramic views.

Similar to other superyachts PIACERE has a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure.

Powered by 2 x Caterpillar engines she cruises at a speed of 12 knots while having the power to reach a maximum speed of 15 knots.

PIACERE has a range of 3,800 nautical miles and is in the top 10% LOA in the world. She sails under the Cayman Islands flag which is the second most common flag for superyachts of this magnitude.

The price of the PIACERE yacht has been kept discrete and as she was newly launched in 2021 she has never been listed for sale.

A rough estimate based on C yach t, which was launched in 2020 and is of a similar size would be between $40 – 55 million.

A Closer Look at New Rossinavi Yacht 50m PIACERE

Launched just a couple of weeks ago, Rossinavi’s 50m Piacere is an exemplary model of custom design and expert Italian build. We took a closer look at the Viareggio yard’s latest feat…

Aptly named 'Piacere' after the Italian word for 'pleasure', this is a yacht designed to enjoy quality time with friends and family onboard.

At 50m LOA, Piacere sports a full-displacement hull able to take on all conditions the elements present to her. The yacht was commissioned by a private American client introduced to Rossinavi by Javier Navarro of Zarpo Yachts.

Piacere’s exterior design springs from the drawing boards of Horacio Bozzo Design - the Italian design studio hailing from Rossinavi’s own hometown of Viareggio. Enrico Gobbi of Enrico Gobbi - Team for Design spearheaded the design effort to curate Piacere’s open and bright interiors. 

In a statement, Horacio Bozzo commented on how accurately the yacht’s design reflected her owner’s character and his ‘ marriage between style and functionality’.  

He adds: ‘ It’s a yacht to live “en plein air” in different large external areas designed to meet the needs of all ages aboard. Her minimal lines include design terraces and windows adding personality to the yacht and brightness to the interior spaces.’

Piacere’s lowest deck is dedicated to a spacious and tranquil beach club, complete with a generous lounge area, skylight and steam room. Her large salon and dining area in the main deck provide owner and guests with an ideal relaxation space to enjoy sweeping views of the surroundings through floor-to-ceiling windows. 

Other highlights include an elevator connecting access to all decks, a full-beam owner’s suite with private office and lounge area, as well as garage space for a 7m tender, 4m service boat and jet skis. A gym can be found in the upper deck, with remarkable space on the sundeck comprising 130 square metres. 

Enrico Gobbi, interior designer, used ‘ natural shades and soft shapes for a fresh yet refined atmosphere ’ onboard Piacere. The Italian designer’s signature style is evidenced by a mix of flamed walnut and matte finishes, light Tay and white lacquered surfaces adding to a chromatic contrast on the walls. 

Piacere’s very DNA is a testament to the made in Italy ethos of Rossinavi as a yard. The yard, designers and the owner’s close family collaborated very closely together to create the unique features and sophisticated design of Rossinavi’s latest yacht.

Rossinavi launches 50m superyacht Piacere

Italian shipyard Rossinavi’s latest superyacht, the 50 metre Piacere , has hit the water for the first time in Pisa.

It comes after the yacht was commissioned by a private American client introduced to Rossinavi by Javier Navarro of Zarpo Yachts.

Piacere boasts exterior design penned by studio Horacio Bozzo Design in collaboration with Rossinavi’s in-house team of engineers. The interior meanwhile comes from the boards of Venice-based Team for Design - Enrico Gobbi .

Key on board features include a lower deck beach club complete with a dining room and lounge area, surrounded by floor to ceiling windows. In fact, glass features heavily on board the superyacht. Instead of walls, the outdoor corridors are fitted with glass panels to allow light to stream through. The tender garage meanwhile is large enough to hold a seven-metre tender, four-metre service boat and two Jet Skis.

The 130 sqm sundeck includes a bar and additional dining area, both of which are protected by a hard-top and accessible through sliding doors. A gym can be found on the upper deck.

Powered by two Caterpillar diesel engines, Piacere can reach a top speed of 15 knots, with a range of 3800 nautical miles at 10 knots.

Some of the main features that stand out aboard this vessel include the spacious beach club with a generous lounge area with skylight and a steam room. Her vast saloon offers a comfortable seating area with a beautiful formal dining area highlighted by huge ‘floor-to-ceiling windows for unprecedented views of the yacht’s surroundings.

One of the major commodities on board is the elevator that connects all decks, right up to the sun deck.

When is comes to her accommodation for up to 11 guests, she was created with a stunning full-beam owners’ suite that boasts a private office and lounge area, and additional 4 guest suites all with private bathroom facilities.

Luxury water toys include a 7m yacht tender, a 4m service boat and a pair of jets skis. The platform for the toys features a unique technology that Rossinavi has developed specifically for Piacere. Another great feature is the gymnasium on the upper deck.

Cruising the Moskva River: A short guide to boat trips in Russia’s capital

There’s hardly a better way to absorb Moscow’s atmosphere than on a ship sailing up and down the Moskva River. While complicated ticketing, loud music and chilling winds might dampen the anticipated fun, this checklist will help you to enjoy the scenic views and not fall into common tourist traps.

How to find the right boat?

There are plenty of boats and selecting the right one might be challenging. The size of the boat should be your main criteria.

Plenty of small boats cruise the Moskva River, and the most vivid one is this yellow Lay’s-branded boat. Everyone who has ever visited Moscow probably has seen it.

This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.

Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such  option  offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).

If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.

Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.

How to buy tickets?

Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.

“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!”  wrote  (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.

Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.

Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.

Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.

Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as  this   offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.

This  website  (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other  website  sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.

Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.

“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.

There are two main boarding piers in the city center:  Hotel Ukraine  and  Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.

Where to sit onboard?

Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.

The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.

Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.

There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.

Her interior is styled by design house Bernie Cohen Design and she was delivered to her owner in February 2004. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Bernie Cohen Design and she was last refitted in 2015.

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3412) 12-cylinder 900hp engines running at 2300rpm, she comfortably cruises at 13 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 16 knots with a range of up to 4,606 nautical miles from her 70,000 litre fuel tanks. Her low draft of 2.24m/7'4" makes her primed for accessing shallow areas and cruising close to the shorelines. An advanced stabilisation system on board promises exceptional comfort levels at anchor or on any voyage. Her water tanks store around 12,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) ✠A1, Yachting Service, ✠AMS classification society rules.
