Dmitry Yevgenyevich Rybolovlev born 22 November 1966 is a Russian businessman and investor. He is proud owner of $250 million super yacht Anna . As of November 2020, Rybolovlev is ranked 224th on Forbes’s list of billionaires with a net worth of $6.6 billion. He is one of the alleged victims of Swiss art transporter Yves Bouvier as part of The Bouvier Affair.

Owner of AS Monaco

Rybolovlev relocated to Monaco in 2010 and in December 2011 bought a 66% stake in the Monegasque association football club AS Monaco FC.

The club was in a bad state at the time, playing at the bottom of the French second league and highly in debt, and the Monaco Palace was looking for an investor to improve the club’s prospects. According to French media reports, Ryboloblev acquired the club for a symbolic €1, but with a commitment to invest at least €100 million ($129.4 million) into the club over the next four years.

The remaining 33% stake in the club is owned by Monaco’s ruling family, the House of Grimaldi , with Rybolovlev’s acquisition of the stake in the club approved by Prince Albert II of Monaco. Dmitry Rybolovlev was subsequently appointed president of the club.

rybolovlev yacht anna

A Russian-born billionaire and a 20-year-old female are reportedly on board family super yacht ‘Anna’ that arrived in Vincentian waters yesterday, March 3.

Dmitry Rybolovlev’s arrival comes in the midst of sanctions coming out of the United States (US), the United Kingdom (UK) and the European Union (EU) in response to Russia’s ongoing invasion in Ukraine.

Since sanctions have been imposed, Russian billionaires have been moving mobile assets such as mega yachts and private jets so as to avoid seizure by the US, UK and EU who are seeking to capture and freeze the assets of the invading country’s influential elite.

Rybolovlev, a citizen of the Republic of Cyprus, is not on the lists of targeted oligarchs, nor are the beneficiaries of the family trust, the Skorpios Trust, that owns the yacht.

Super yacht Anna being refuelled at Port Kingstown

The 55-year-old, who owns European football club AS Monaco, and according to Forbes, has a net worth of 6.7 billion, made port in Canouan on Thursday morning after travelling from Antigua.

‘Anna’, named after one of his two daughters, has since crossed the channel over to Kingstown docking at approximately 11 am today, March 4. The mega yacht was spotted refuelling this afternoon and is likely to head back to the Grenadines for the duration of its stay.

Attending to the needs of Rybolovlev and his companion are 38 crew members from around the world.

The investor, businessman, and trained medical doctor, is ranked as the 391st richest man in the world as per the 2021 Forbes Billionaire’s list. His wealth was amassed from Uralkali, Russia’s largest producer of potassium fertilisers, but his stake was sold for 6.5 billion in 2010.

It is said that the Rybolovlev family is not based in Russia but Monaco.

Tracking the Yachts and Jets of the Mega-Rich

rybolovlev yacht anna

By Robert Frank

  • March 31, 2017

The hunt for connections between President Trump and a Russian billionaire has led to a little-known corner of the internet: websites that track the private yachts and jets of the rich.

News reports in recent weeks have highlighted some unusual patterns in the movements of a private jet and a yacht owned by the Russian fertilizer magnate Dmitry Rybolovlev.

The trips don’t prove any connection or relationship between Mr. Trump and Mr. Rybolovlev, of course. Mr. Rybolovlev — better known for his messy divorce and involvement in a multibillion-dollar lawsuit — may simply be a victim of the growing scrutiny of the Trump campaign’s potential ties to Russia.

Yet during the presidential campaign, Mr. Rybolovlev’s plane and boat were in the same locations as Mr. Trump or members of his family, according to tracking data.

Mr. Rybolovlev’s private jet, for instance, landed in North Carolina last November less than two hours before Mr. Trump arrived for a campaign event, according to the McClatchy news service, which used flight-tracking data to locate the plane.

Mr. Rybolovlev’s yacht, named Anna, was also followed. The 220-foot ship was in Croatia last summer on the same days that Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner were vacationing there.

Mr. Rybolovlev said through Brian Cattell, a spokesman, that “Mr. Rybolovlev travels frequently to many different destinations, including destinations across the U.S. If Mr. Rybolovlev was physically in the same place as Mr. Trump at any time, this was pure coincidence.”

Mr. Trump’s and Mr. Rybolovlev’s paths have intersected before. A trust linked to Mr. Rybolovlev bought an estate in Palm Beach from Mr. Trump in 2008 for $95 million. Both men say that despite the transaction, they have never met.

What makes the stories surprising, however, is the amount of easily searchable data on the locations of Mr. Rybolovlev’s private jet and yacht. New technology, specialized websites and an army of amateur plane-spotters and yacht-watchers around the world have made it easier than ever for anyone to pinpoint a billionaire’s yacht or jet anywhere in the world and track their movements.

“It’s remarkable really,” said Jonathan Beckett, the chief executive of Burgess , a yacht brokerage and advisory firm. “Anyone can go to a website, type in a name and find an owner’s yacht. It’s a little scary.”

For the news media, wealth voyeurs and many of the rich themselves, the ability to track jets and yachts provides welcome transparency and safety benefits. But for the rich who look to their yachts and jets as cocoons of privacy, the mass of digital eyes following them represents an unwelcome intrusion and even a security threat.

“When owners step on their yacht, they want to feel totally safe,” Mr. Beckett said. “A lot of the wealthy prefer to stay under the radar.”

For the most part, yacht- and plane-spotters are more like bird-watchers — hobbyists on the lookout for rare or unusual species in unlikely locales. They loiter on marine docks, boat channels and airport access roads in hopes of spotting and photographing a yacht like Larry Ellison’s 288-foot Musashi or a jet like Paul Allen’s $70 million custom Gulfstream G650.

“Apparently there are a lot of people with nothing to do but hang out at airports and take pictures of planes and their tail numbers,” said Jay Duckson, a private-jet broker and adviser with Central Business Jets.

Yet the growing availability of location data has added a new level of detail to the hobby. Yachts and planes are both required by safety regulations to emit frequent location data. Increasingly, that data is aggregated by websites that let their users freely search for a particular plane or yacht by its name or registration number. The sites also upload up-to-the-minute photos of the vessels or planes that are sent in by amateurs. A quick search on Google can provide the name of a billionaire’s yacht or pictures of a plane.

Most yachts have transponders onboard that send out Automatic Identification System data, which gives the local authorities and other boats their location and navigation headings. Sites like VesselFinder.com and MarineTraffic.com ingest the data and let users type in a yacht’s name and see its most recent coordinates. For a fee, the sites will also send a history of a yacht’s movements going back years. Other sites like SuperYachtFan.com let photographers send in updated photos and owner names for certain yachts.

Yacht owners are increasingly asking websites to remove information about their boats to protect their privacy. Some are turning off their transponders when they are onboard, according to industry experts, even though it is illegal.

“They tell us it’s a security risk,” said Demitris Memos, the chief executive of MarineTraffic. “But we’re not really giving more than what’s available to someone with a pair of binoculars.”

The Daily Kos, citing data from VesselFinder , reported that Mr. Rybolovlev’s yacht was off the coast of Croatia last August at the same time that Ms. Trump and Mr. Kushner were in the country vacationing. (A spokeswoman for Ms. Trump, Risa Heller, declined to comment.)

In March, Anna was moored in the British Virgin Islands, right next to a yacht owned by Robert Mercer, a major financial contributor to the president’s campaign.

Mr. Rybolovlev’s plane has gotten even more attention. His Airbus A319, which can seat more than 150 passengers when in use by the airlines, is a favorite of plane-spotters around the world for its size and swirling silver-and-black paint scheme. Its tail identification is also memorable — M-KATE — making it easy to search for on flight-locator sites.

Using FlightAware, the flight data website, McClatchy, along with blogs and other sites, reported that Mr. Rybolovlev’s jet landed at Charlotte Douglas International Airport just five days before the November election. Less than 90 minutes later, Mr. Trump’s campaign jet landed on the same tarmac before a rally scheduled in nearby Concord, N.C. FlightAware confirms the flight data.

Mr. Cattell said that when Mr. Rybolovlev was in North Carolina, he visited a company, Alevo, in which his family trust has a holding, and “did not have any contact with Mr. Trump or his advisers.”

Unlike yachts, owners of private jets can’t turn off location data or flight paths. They can ask the Federal Aviation Administration to block their planes’ data from public view for security reasons. Wealthy travelers can also charter jets or buy fractional ownerships in part to avoid public disclosure.

“More and more private-jet owners don’t want to publicly be on the internet,” said Daniel Baker, the chief executive of FlightAware.

Mr. Baker said he gets frequent calls from jet owners around the world asking to be removed from his site, which the site honors. FlightAware also sells a special service that lets jet owners and certain members of their families track their planes, while barring the broader public from seeing the plane’s location or trip plans.

“What’s surprising is that more jet owners don’t opt out,” Mr. Duckson of Central Business Jets said. “It’s not that hard to do. Maybe after the Rybolovlev news, they will.”

Russian oligarch superyacht ANNA docks In Kingstown, St Vincent

Super Yacht ANNA, owned by Dmitry Rybolovlev, a Russian oligarch, billionaire businessman, and investor, was seen docked in port Kingstown , St Vincent, on 4 March. Rybolovlev also owns another yacht called Skorpios.

As of 2021, Rybolovlev had a reported net worth of $6.7 billion, which ranked him 391st on Forbes’s list of billionaires.

According to  France24 , Rybolovlev left Russia in 2010 after being forced to sell his majority stake in potash fertiliser producer Uralkali to close acquaintances of President Vladimir Putin.

While he has always sought to distance himself from those in power in Russia, he is named in the Putin Accountability bill , a list of Russian citizens who could face sanctions, which is making its way through the United States Congress.

His last public appearance came on 23 February in the Caribbean island of Antigua, where his boat, a lightweight superyacht called Skorpios, won the Royal Ocean Racing Club Caribbean 600 race in the monohull category.

According to  SUPERYACTHFAN,  ANNA has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. Caterpillar engines power it. Her top speed is 18 knots. Her cruising speed is 14 knots. She has a range of more than 4,500nm.

Rybolovlev named the yacht after his daughter Anna Rybolovlev.

He also owns an Airbus private jet, which he named M-KATE after his daughter Katerina.

In December 2011, Rybolovlev acquired two-thirds of the French-side football club AS Monaco.

A photo of Rybolovlev posing in Paris in 2015 with two paintings by Pablo Picasso.

It’s a long way from Perm, Russia — a grim town in the Ural mountains 900 miles east of Moscow once known as the “Gateway to the Gulag” and home to the Soviet Union’s most terrifying labor camp for political prisoners — to Monte Carlo.

In 1987, when Perm 36 camp closed, Dmitry Rybolovlev was a 22-year-old medical student.

Four years later the Soviet Union collapsed and Rybolovlev dumped his career as a cardiologist to corner the potassium fertilizer business in a newly-privatized Russia.

It was a winning move: in 2010 he sold his stake in Uralkali for $6.5 billion.

And he swapped Perm for one of Monaco’s most prestigious addresses, the two-story, $300 million penthouse in the Belle Époque mansion, with views of his friend Prince Albert’s pink palace high in the distance across the harbor.

Albert II, Prince of Monaco, Dmitry Rybolovlev, and Nicolas Sarkozy in suits watching PSG vs AS Monaco match at Parc des Princes in Paris, France in 2017.

Until now, Rybovlovev, 57, has been used to winning.

He owns Monaco’s soccer club , its stadium nestled in the heart of the richest square mile in the world, a portfolio of multi-million dollar properties, businesses spanning the planet, a private Boeing 737 and a $250 million yacht, the Anna.

He watches soccer with Monaco’s embattled Prince Albert, who’s been fighting allegations of corruption , and hobnobs with other fans such as former French president Nicolas Sarkozy.

And his daughter, Ekaterina, now 35, who’s married to Uruguayan businessman and politician Juan Sartori, purchased an apartment at 15 Central Park West with $88 million of her father’s money in 2011.

Two years later Ekaterina also bought the fabled Greek island of Skorpios , which was once owned by Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis, Jackie Kennedy’s second husband.

Even his split from Elena, his wife of 23 years in 2008 was called the “ divorce of the century .”

Elena, who met Rybolovlev in medical school, accused him of trying to hide his wealth from her by buying up mansions from Hawaii to Greece to Central Park West.

The Rybolovlevs’ life together was detailed in Elena’s  2008 bombshell divorce filing , alleging he cheated on her constantly with women young enough to be his daughters — whom he shared with his friends. Her husband claimed she was aware of his sex life before the divorce.

Elena Rybolovlev, wife of Dmitry Rybolovlev, standing in front of a microphone.

One, she revealed was the 62,000 sq-ft. Maison de l’Amitie in Palm Beach, which he bought during the depths of the 2008 recession from Donald Trump — more than double what Trump had paid for it. His wife said he did no due diligence before the purchase.

(Trump’s original purchase of the house is said to have caused him to fall out with Jeffrey Epstein.)

In papers filed in Geneva and Palm Beach, Fla., Elena alleged Ekaterina was manipulated by her father and bribed with lavish gifts to deceive her mother — and eventually suffered a nervous breakdown because of the familial stress.

Dmitry Rybolovlev and Ekaterina Rybolovlev attend AS Monaco FC v Arsenal FC UEFA Champions League Round of 16 match, applauding.

Rybolovlev, in turn, had Elena arrested in Cyprus where he coincidentally owns a bank, saying she had stolen a $28 million ring.

She later proved he had given it to her and walked away with about $3.5 billion in the divorce.

Rybolovlev didn’t amass his money and power quietly.

As the boss of Uralkali, Rybolovlev was blamed for turning Berezniki, an old mining town in the Urals where his potash was extracted from 1500 feet underground, into what The New York Times called a city “always on watch against being sucked into the earth” because of sinkholes.

A photo of a sinkhole in the Russian town of Bereniki.

In 1996, after decamping to Switzerland to avoid the violent gangsterism taking over Russia, he was arrested on charges of plotting the murder of a rival businessman and served almost a year in prison before being acquitted.

But he had always been someone accustomed to winning — until he tangled with the world of art.

Now he has come up a loser, more than once, for his role in a series of international lawsuits alleging fraud .

The cases centered in Monaco with tentacles reaching from Singapore to Switzerland and finally to Manhattan.

They started in 2015 Rybolovlev when he went on the warpath in Monaco against the multi-millionaire Swiss art dealer Yves Bouvier, accusing him of overcharging for masterpieces bought from Sotheby’s.

A photo of Swiss art dealer Yves Bouvier sitting down with his hands entwined.

The allegations were apparently simple: Rybolovlev claimed he thought Bouvier was acting as a go-between to buy the artworks — but instead Bouvier was buying them himself then flipping them to Rybolovlev at an inflated price, making much more money than the commission Rybolovlev thought he was paying.

But the allegations became a sprawling saga, nicknamed the “ Bouvier Affair .”

Bouvier was arrested early on in connection with the case, then released. Rybolovlev himself was questioned at the time about trying to buy off officials in order to nail Bouvier.

A Monaco judge ultimately dismissed the case , saying it had been seriously compromised by troubling “links” discovered between investigators and the lawyer representing Rybolovlev.

a portrait painting by Leonardo da Vinci of Jesus Christ, titled "Salvator Mundi."

It ended up “almost bringing down half the principality,” said one lawyer who’s practiced in Monaco and Italy for decades.

“You couldn’t underestimate the scope of this thing. It brought back all those old charges of Monaco being corrupt and dirty.”

Other litigation followed around the world and in January, it reached its denouement: a federal court in Manhattan.

There, Rybolovlev accused Sotheby’s of conspiring with Bouvier to trick him into paying inflated prices for four works including “Salvator Mundi,” a depiction of Christ attributed to Leonardo da Vinci and dubbed “the Lost Leonardo.”

A photo of Rene Magritte's "La Domaine d'Arnheim," one of the four artworks at the center of the recent Sotheby alleged art fraud trial.

He sued for the loss of $380 million, claiming that in all he had paid an extra $1 billion for 38 separate pieces of art over 12 years.

According to court papers, Bouvier bought the da Vinci for $83 million in 2013 and sold it the next day to Rybolovlev for $127.5 million.

Rybolovlev and his lawyers apparently never made a simple phone call to Sotheby’s to verify how much Bouvier paid the sales house for the paintings before re-selling them to him..

And he also sued over three other artworks: Amedeo Modigliani’s carved stone sculpture “Tête”; “Le domaine d’Arnheim” by René Magritte; and Gustav Klimt’s “Wasserschlangen II,” alleging Sotheby’s let him be ripped off by Bouvier for them too.

A photo of the Airbus A319CJ owned by Dmitry Rybolovlev.

Sotheby’s, which is privately held, had long maintained that it had no knowledge that Bouvier might have lied, and that it was  not liable for his dealings with Rybolovlev .

“The amount of chutzpah Bouvier had was incredible,” a source familiar with the case told The Post. “He pulled one off on Rybolovlev. He’s not exactly a babe in the woods. It was right out of a movie.”

“Bouvier outsmarted him,” a longtime lawyer in Monaco told The Post. “He might have been the only one to do that in Dmitry’s life.”

Rybolovlev may have thought he was winning again in Manhattan when his lawyers persuaded the judge that the jury should not hear him called an “oligarch,” because it would prejudice jurors against him.

Despite his Russian billions, the 57-year-old has not been sanctioned by the United States and other governments in the wake of Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine — to the disgust of activists.

A photo of auctioneers at Sotheby's auction house.

“He’s been active in the West and some of his actions seem to be helpful both for his own businesses and the soft power of the Kremlin,” Ilya Zaslavskiy, a Russian-born US citizen and anti-corruption activist who included Rybolovlev in a report about which Russians should be sanctioned by the West, told The Post.

But when the jury returned its verdict on the man they did not know was an oligarch, it was stunning: they ruled against Rybolovlev and in favor of Sotheby’s, ending years of litigation.

(He and Bouvier had settled in December 2023, just before the New York trial, with Bouvier claiming that it showed he had done nothing wrong. A source told The Art Newspaper a Geneva prosecutor had told the two to settle after deciding there was no criminal case to answer for Rybolovlev.)

The sting of defeat was no doubt lessened by the fact that Rybolovlev went on to sell “Salvator Mundi” at Christie’s in 2017 for $450.3 million, a record price for an artwork at auction, apparently to Saudi Arabia’s de facto ruler, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Rybolovlev’s Manhattan-based lawyer for the trial, Dan Kornstein, told The Post only that “as the dust clears from the jury verdict, it becomes more clear than ever that transparency was needed in the shadowy art market and that the analyses and commentaries since then have reflected that awareness.”

Marcus Asner, of the law firm Arnold & Porter, who represented Sotheby’s at the trial, had a different take.

“We were thrilled by the verdict which reaffirmed what we knew since the beginning which was that Sotheby’s played no role in any fraud or attempted fraud against Rybolovlev or anyone else,” Asner told The Post. “The person who didn’t want it to be transparent was Dmitry Rybolovlev.”

Dmitry Rybolovlev, Whose Superyacht Remains in SVG, Escapes Sanctions, for Now

Wednesday 9 March makes six days since ANNA superyacht belonging to AS Monaco owner Dmitry Rybolovlev has been anchored in the waters of St Vincent and the Grenadines.

ANNA was spotted in the Tobago Keys on Wednesday, 9 March; Tobago Keys is located South of Canouan and North of Union Island. As shown by Marine data, plans for the voyage to  Australia  may have been placed on hold for now.

While Rybolovlev will not have to relinquish his ownership of the French club AS Monaco, that does not mean that sanctions are not possible at a later stage, said a source close to the Russian.

“Depending on the developments of the conflict, the measures taken against the Russian oligarchs could lead to their exclusion from French companies. The Monegasque authorities are closely following the sanctions imposed by the European Union.”

Rybolovlev has had a majority stake in AS  Monaco  since 2011, but he doesn’t feature on the French list of 488 Russian entities and 26 oligarchs facing potential sanctions.

However, Rybolovlev is among Russian oligarchs named in the Putin Accountability Bill, now making its way through the US congress.

In 2010, Rybolovlev left Russia after being forced to sell his majority stake in fertiliser producer Uralkali to close acquaintances of president Vladimir Putin. The Monaco strongman Rybolovlev has always sought to distance himself from the Russian regime.

Rybolovlev’s last public appearance came on 23 February in the Caribbean island of Antigua, where his boat, a lightweight superyacht called Skorpios, won the Royal Ocean Racing Club Caribbean 600 race in the monohull category.

On Friday, 4 March, his Superyacht berthed at port Kingstown, and on Saturday, 5 March, 40 thousand gallons of fuel and other supplies were bought in an anticipated journey to the other side of the world.

According to SUPERYACTHFAN, ANNA has a steel hull and aluminum superstructure.

First refuelling for Russia’s Akademik Lomonosov floating NPP

!{Model.Description}

rybolovlev yacht anna

The FNPP includes two KLT-40S reactor units. In such reactors, nuclear fuel is not replaced in the same way as in standard NPPs – partial replacement of fuel once every 12-18 months. Instead, once every few years the entire reactor core is replaced with and a full load of fresh fuel.

The KLT-40S reactor cores have a number of advantages compared with standard NPPs. For the first time, a cassette core was used, which made it possible to increase the fuel cycle to 3-3.5 years before refuelling, and also reduce by one and a half times the fuel component in the cost of the electricity produced. The operating experience of the FNPP provided the basis for the design of the new series of nuclear icebreaker reactors (series 22220). Currently, three such icebreakers have been launched.

The Akademik Lomonosov was connected to the power grid in December 2019, and put into commercial operation in May 2020.

Electricity generation from the FNPP at the end of 2023 amounted to 194 GWh. The population of Pevek is just over 4,000 people. However, the plant can potentially provide electricity to a city with a population of up to 100,000. The FNPP solved two problems. Firstly, it replaced the retiring capacities of the Bilibino Nuclear Power Plant, which has been operating since 1974, as well as the Chaunskaya Thermal Power Plant, which is more than 70 years old. It also supplies power to the main mining enterprises located in western Chukotka. In September, a 490 km 110 kilovolt power transmission line was put into operation connecting Pevek and Bilibino.

Features of the macrostructure and microstructure of uranium dioxide powders are considered. Assumptions are made on the mechanisms of the behavior of powders of various natures during pelletizing. Experimental data that reflect the effect of these powders on the quality of fuel pellets, which is evaluated by modern procedures, are presented. To investigate the structure of the powders, modern methods of electron microscopy, helium pycnometry, etc., are used. The presented results indicate the disadvantages of wet methods for obtaining the starting UO 2 powders by the ammonium diuranate (ADU) flow sheet because strong agglomerates and conglomerates, which complicate the process of pelletizing, are formed. The main directions of investigation that can lead to understanding the regularities of formation of the structure of starting UO 2 powders, which will allow one to control the process of their fabrication and stabilize the properties of powders and pellets, are emphasized.

For the first time Rosatom Fuel Division supplied fresh nuclear fuel to the world’s only floating nuclear cogeneration plant in the Arctic

The fuel was supplied to the northernmost town of Russia along the Northern Sea Route.

rybolovlev yacht anna

The first in the history of the power plant refueling, that is, the replacement of spent nuclear fuel with fresh one, is planned to begin before 2024. The manufacturer of nuclear fuel for all Russian nuclear icebreakers, as well as the Akademik Lomonosov FNPP, is Machinery Manufacturing Plant, Joint-Stock Company (MSZ JSC), a company of Rosatom Fuel Company TVEL that is based in Elektrostal, Moscow Region.

The FNPP includes two KLT-40S reactors of the icebreaking type. Unlike convenient ground-based large reactors (that require partial replacement of fuel rods once every 12-18 months), in the case of these reactors, the refueling takes place once every few years and includes unloading of the entire reactor core and loading of fresh fuel into the reactor.

The cores of KLT-40 reactors of the Akademik Lomonosov floating power unit have a number of advantages compared to the reference ones: a cassette core was used for the first time in the history of the unit, which made it possible to increase the fuel energy resource to 3-3.5 years between refuelings, and also reduce the fuel component of the electricity cost by one and a half times. The FNPP operating experience formed the basis for the designs of reactors for nuclear icebreakers of the newest series 22220. Three such icebreakers have been launched by now.

For the first time the power units of the Akademik Lomonosov floating nuclear power plant were connected to the grid in December 2019, and put into commercial operation in May 2020. The supply of nuclear fuel from Elektrostal to Pevek and its loading into the second reactor is planned for 2024. The total power of the Akademik Lomonosov FNPP, supplied to the coastal grid of Pevek without thermal energy consumption on shore, is about 76 MW, being about 44 MW in the maximum thermal power supply mode. The FNPP generated 194 million kWh according to the results of 2023. The population of Pevek is just a little more than 4 thousand, while the FNPP has a potential for supplying electricity to a city with a population of up to 100 thousand people. After the FNPP commissioning two goals were achieved. These include first of all the replacement of the retiring capacities of the Bilibino NPP, which has been operating since 1974, as well as the Chaunskaya TPP, which has already been operating for more than 70 years. Secondly, energy is supplied to the main mining companies in western Chukotka in the Chaun-Bilibino energy hub a large ore and metal cluster, including gold mining companies and projects related to the development of the Baimsk ore zone. In September 2023, a 110 kilovolt power transmission line with a length of 490 kilometers was put into operation, connecting the towns of Pevek and Bilibino. The line increased the reliability of energy supply from the FNPP to both Bilibino consumers and mining companies, the largest of which is the Baimsky GOK. The comprehensive development of the Russian Arctic is a national strategic priority. To increase the NSR traffic is of paramount importance for accomplishment of the tasks set in the field of cargo shipping. This logistics corridor is being developed due regular freight voyages, construction of new nuclear-powered icebreakers and modernization of the relevant infrastructure. Rosatom companies are actively involved in this work. Rosatom Fuel Company TVEL (Rosatom Fuel Division) includes companies fabricating nuclear fuel, converting and enriching uranium, manufacturing gas centrifuges, conducting researches and producing designs. As the only nuclear fuel supplier to Russian NPPs, TVEL supplies fuel for a total of 75 power reactors in 15 countries, for research reactors in nine countries, as well as for propulsion reactors of the Russian nuclear fleet. Every sixth power reactor in the world runs on TVEL fuel. Rosatom Fuel Division is the world’s largest producer of enriched uranium and the leader on the global stable isotope market. The Fuel Division is actively developing new businesses in chemistry, metallurgy, energy storage technologies, 3D printing, digital products, and decommissioning of nuclear facilities. TVEL also includes Rosatom integrators for additive technologies and electricity storage systems. Rosenergoatom, Joint-Stock Company is part of Rosatom Electric Power Division and one of the largest companies in the industry acting as an operator of nuclear power plants. It includes, as its branches, 11 operating NPPs, including the FNPP, the Scientific and Technical Center for Emergency Operations at NPPs, Design and Engineering as well as Technological companies. In total, 37 power units with a total installed capacity of over 29.5 GW are in operation at 11 nuclear power plants in Russia. Machinery Manufacturing Plant, Joint-Stock Company (MSZ JSC, Elektrostal) is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of fuel for nuclear power plants. The company produces fuel assemblies for VVER-440, VVER-1000, RBMK-1000, BN-600,800, VK-50, EGP-6; powders and fuel pellets intended for supply to foreign customers. It also produces nuclear fuel for research reactors. The plant belongs to the TVEL Fuel Company of Rosatom.
