Four seasons yachts announces upcoming launch and 23 itineraries.

Four Seasons 1, the all suite yacht due to launch in 2026.

Travelers accustomed to Four Seasons style in design and service will have a chance to experience both at sea when Four Seasons Yachts sets sail in 2026. Earlier this year, the company announced its first 10 itineraries; earlier this week, it announced 13 more. All offer the land option of pre or post trips at the company’s resorts.

As Timothy Littley, VP of Itinerary and Planning at Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings LTD and co-owner/operator of Four Seasons Yachts explains, his intention was to design experiences that resonate deeply and truly express the spirit of adventure and discovery. "In our debut year, we're set to explore over 130 distinct destinations across more than 33 countries and territories,” he says. “My professional journey, alongside years of personal exploration, has been dedicated to understanding the nuances of these locales—their culture, their people, and the unique experiences they offer—to ensure we curate something truly extraordinary for our guests.”

The living room of the Loft Suite.

The first sailings are set for January,2026 heading to Croatia, Gibraltar, Montenegro, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Türkiye. The Mediterranean itinerary will also highlight Greek islands with stops in Athens, Ios, Santorini and Milos but not always in the usual way: arriving in the tourist favorite island of Santorini, for example, at 5 PM when the other cruise ships are leaving, allowing passengers to enjoy a less crowded island in the evening. Under the radar but islands also worth visiting such as Hydra and Naxos are also included. Caribbean sailings are also among the first itineraries traveling to Saint Barthélemy (St Barths), Nevis, the Grenadines, St Lucia, Barbados, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Curaçao and Aruba. While there, passengers disembark to experience the nightlife of St Barths, Martinique’s volcanic coral reefs and lush rainforest landscapes and a sail in St Lucia’s Tobago Cays among other experiences.

Among the itineraries announced this week are five-, seven- and nine-night voyages that include legendary ports of call such as Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Monte Carlo, Capri, Positano, Taormina, Palma de Mallorca and Valencia plus lesser-known gems including Italy’s Portovenere, France’s Fréjus and Mandelieu-la-Napoule, Spain’s Ciutadella de Menorca and Malta’s Gozo. Offshore activities to truly experience the destination are being selected ranging from exploring the esteemed rosé vineyards in Bandol, France to truffle hunting in Viareggio, Italy.

The four level Funnel Suite.

The yacht, Four Seasons 1, is being constructed by renowned Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri in Ancona, Italy and will contain 95 suites with modular walls that will allow 100 different connection options including reserving one side of a deck for a large family or group of friends traveling together. The largest accommodations are seven signature suites ranging from 2,981 to 9,975 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space offering two to three bedrooms, separate living rooms, indoor and outdoor dining space, splash pools, outdoor showers, and the option to connect to additional suites. The largest, the 9,975 square foot Funnel Suite, includes four levels of living space and floor to ceiling wraparound windows. All feature a design described by Fredrik Johannson, partner and executive director of Tillberg Design of Sweden as welcoming in the same way that the group’s resorts are but unique to the yacht. “It had to have this incredibly elegant aura to it without being over-the-top opulent,” he says. “To this end, we strove for a beautiful simplicity with the interiors.”

Elsewhere on the yacht are 11 dining options, spa and wellness offerings and a 65 foot long stern pool. Taking care of all are staff members on a 1:1 guest to staff ratio, along the lines of what Four Seasons regulars experience on land. And there will be at least 41 opportunities to experience it; that number of sailings at this point is planned for the first year; more may be added.

OG Anunoby Declines Player Option, Becomes Unrestricted Free Agent

Jack ankony | 10 hours ago.

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (8) celebrates his three-point shot against the Indiana Pacers during the 2024 NBA playoffs at Madison Square Garden.

  • Indiana Hoosiers

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Former Indiana Hoosier OG Anunoby is set for a huge payday when free agency begins this summer.

Following his seventh NBA season, Anunoby on Monday declined his $19.9 million player option with the New York Knicks for the 2024-25 season, per Fred Katz of The Athletic. As a result, Anunoby, a 6-foot-7, 240-pound forward, has become an unrestricted free agent and can sign with any team.

This was an anticipated move as Anunoby's market value could reach $35 million per year, according to CBS Sports. Teams can begin negotiating with Anunoby when free agency begins at 6 p.m. ET on June 30, but free agents cannot sign until 12:01 p.m. ET on July 6.

Anunoby, 26, is in the prime of his career and has established himself as an integral piece to playoff teams. He began his career with more than six seasons on the Toronto Raptors, where he led the NBA in steals and finished seventh in Defensive Player of the Year voting in 2022-23.

He was traded to New York midway through the 2023-24 season and helped the Knicks reach the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Anunoby suffered a hamstring injury during that series against the Pacers, which caused him to miss four full games and most of game seven in a series loss.

In 23 regular season games with the Knicks, Anunoby averaged 14.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.5 assists per game while shooting 39.4% from 3-point range. Anunoby's top predicted landing spots include the Philadelphia 76ers, Oklahoma City Thunder and New York Knicks, according to The Sporting News.

Anunoby spent two collegiate seasons at Indiana under former head coach Tom Crean from 2015-17 before being selected No. 23 overall by the Raptors.

Inside Connor McDavid’s record-breaking playoffs, by the numbers

SUNRISE, FLORIDA - JUNE 18: Connor McDavid #97 of the Edmonton Oilers skates during the third period against the Florida Panthers in Game Five of the 2024 Stanley Cup Final at Amerant Bank Arena on June 18, 2024 in Sunrise, Florida. (Photo by Elsa/Getty Images)

Connor McDavid has cemented his place among the greatest players in NHL history with his playoff performance this spring.

The Edmonton Oilers captain has all but locked up the Conn Smythe Trophy as postseason MVP based on his absolute dominance, highlighted by his efforts in the Stanley Cup Final. The result feels immaterial at this point — especially since McDavid has willed the Oilers back into the series after dropping the first three games.

“He just puts us on his back,” defenseman Mattias Ekholm said. “The guy is the best in the world. There’s just nothing else you can say about him.”

Yup. All you need to do is look at the numbers.

McDavid has rewritten parts of the record book thanks to his play over the last two months. And he might not be done yet.

Here are McDavid’s 2024 playoff exploits, by the numbers.

Most assists, single playoff season — 34

Move over Wayne Gretzky.

McDavid tied and passed The Great One as part of a three-assist, four-point effort in Game 4 — an 8-1 Oilers win to keep their season alive. Gretzky had 31 helpers in 1988, the last of his four Stanley Cup titles in Edmonton.

“Obviously not the focus with where we’re at (in the series),” McDavid said after Game 4, “but (it’s) not lost on me what he means to the game.”

McDavid added two more helpers, to go along with two goals, in a 5-3 victory in Game 5. He’s just padding his stats now.

go-deeper

Connor McDavid breaks Wayne Gretzky's record for most assists in a single playoff

First player with back-to-back four-point games in the Stanley Cup Final

You probably had no problem doing the math in the previous section.

McDavid had matching four-point efforts in Games 4 and 5, the first time anyone has accomplished that feat in the championship series.

“He’s been driving the bus since he got here — before I got here,” said winger Zach Hyman , a third-year Oiler. “Since I’ve been here, he’s the guy leading this team. You expect it from him.

“You don’t want to put any extra pressure, but that’s what he does. He elevates his game at the most opportune times for us. He’s been great.”

A record eight points when facing elimination in a single Stanley Cup Final

It’s been a while since anyone else came close. You’d have to go back more than eight decades since anyone even notched seven points.

That seven-point club consists of Don Metz and Syl Apps (1942 Toronto Maple Leafs ) — part of the only NHL team to rebound from a 3-0 deficit in the Cup Final — and Babe Dye (1922 Toronto St. Patricks).

Metz and Apps had four games to rack up their point totals, whereas Dye had two like McDavid.

“What I’m most impressed about with him is the bigger the moment, the bigger performance he puts on,” Ekholm said. “We’re on the brink of elimination, and he puts up four points two nights in a row. That’s just him in a nutshell. He just wants to be the guy. He is the guy. To me, he’s the best in the world.”

McDavid has also tied Ken Linseman’s Cup Final mark of five assists when facing elimination. Linseman accomplished that feat over two games with the 1980 Philadelphia Flyers .

Tied for most points when facing elimination in a single playoff year — 11

It hasn’t just been in the final when McDavid has stepped up with the Oilers on the ropes. They could have been knocked out of the playoffs by Vancouver in Games 6 and 7 and McDavid had three assists over those two games.

Add it all up and he has 11 points in four elimination games, tying him with Justin Williams and Anže Kopitar from the Los Angeles Kings’ 2014 Cup run and the New York Rangers’ Mika Zibanejad from 2022. Williams and Kopitar played seven games and Zibanejad appeared in six.

Most points in a single Stanley Cup Final, active player — 11

McDavid became the first player among his peers to hit double digits for points in a Cup Final during Game 5. He then added an empty net goal with 19 seconds remaining to bump him up to 11 points.

That’s the best output in the Stanley Cup Final since the Flyers’ Daniel Briere recorded 12 points in 2010.

McDavid, 3-8-11, is just two assists and two points back of tying Gretzky for both categories in a single championship series. Gretzky had 10 assists and 13 points in 1988.

Fourth for points in a playoff year — 42

There are just two players ahead of McDavid here: Gretzky (twice) and Mario Lemieux. That’s elite company.

“I seem to be getting this question a lot, which is a good thing,” McDavid said after Game 5. “Any time I’m compared or in the same realm as those two is a good thing.

“But I love playing in the playoffs. I love playing with this group and it’s not possible without everybody.”

McDavid needs one point to tie Gretzky from 1988 for third and two points to equal Lemieux from 1991.

No. 97 has an outside chance of matching or even surpassing Gretzky’s top mark of 47 points from 1985.

Seventh for assists in a campaign, regular season and playoffs — 134

In April, McDavid became the fourth player in NHL history to reach the century mark for assists in a single season — joining Gretzky, Lemieux and Bobby Orr. Tampa Bay Lightning winger Nikita Kucherov matched him before the playoffs began.

go-deeper

Connor McDavid's 100-assist season elevates already legendary career

With 34 assists, McDavid is seventh for assists in a season (regular season and playoffs). He passed Gretzky’s 133 total from 1991, but The Great One still holds the top six places on the list.

McDavid’s 174 points are one more than he had last season. He’s tied with New York Islanders great Mike Bossy for 14th in one season, including playoffs.

Five assists in one playoff game

It seems like forever ago now, but McDavid opened the playoffs with a five-assist performance against the Kings . No one had done that since Geoff Courtnall did it for the Oilers in 1998.

McDavid was one assist shy of tying the playoff record for helpers in a single game. Gretzky (1987 Oilers) and Mikko Leinonen (1982 New York Rangers) share the top spot.

Indiana Fever beat Mystics for third win in a row as core four continues to jell

three point 4 yacht

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana Fever won their third game in a row with an 88-81 victory over the Washington Mystics at Gainbridge Fieldhouse

Here are three observations:

We just keep improving.' After brutal start, Fever now back in playoff race

'We feel the energy': Fever give sellout crowd reason to cheer with 4th-straight home win

Fever win third game in a row, fifth in seven games

The Indiana Fever are slowly, but surely, getting hot in the WNBA.

After starting the season at 2-9 with 11 games in 20 days, the Fever have now won five of their past seven games, and three in a row. Indiana is in the playoff race, sitting at eighth with a 6-10 record.

And they're approaching something they haven't accomplished in nine years: four straight wins.

Indiana last won four in a row in 2015, when the Tulsa Shock still existed and Indiana legend Tamika Catchings was still playing. The Fever will go for four in a row Friday at Atlanta — a team they beat earlier this week,

Yes, all of their wins so far have come against bottom-half teams in the WNBA, including the Dream, Chicago Sky and Washington Mystics. But stacking wins is crucial for a young team like the Fever, and they're doing it well.

Fever core four continue to jell

For the second straight game, each of Indiana's top four players finished the game in double-figures: Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchel each had 22, Caitlin Clark had 18 and NaLyssa Smith had 11. While it's the second straight game this has happened, it's still just the second time the Fever have been able to get all of its stars — two No. 1 picks and two No. 2 picks — able to jell together.

Clark and Boston's pick-and-roll and post-entry game is also continuing to develop: Boston started the game 3-for-3 from the field while Clark started with three assists. Clark flirted with a triple-double on Wednesday for the second consecutive game too, finishing with 16 points, 12 rebounds and six assists.

With 11 games in 20 days, the Fever had a tough start to the season with little rest and little practice time. Now, with four games in 16 days, Indiana has had time to practice new offensive schemes and learn how to work together with game experience to back it up.

Aliyah Boston showcases 3-point range

Watch out, Fever second-year center Aliyah Boston could become a threat beyond the arc.

Boston came to the Fever as a post that played nearly always in the paint, but she needed to have at least somewhat of a 3-point range — in case of emergencies. She showed her 3-point range last season in a July game against the Liberty — a last-second 3-pointer tied the score, forcing overtime against a top WNBA team. That time, she jumped into her teammates arms in celebration.

This year, it's becoming more normal for the reigning Eastern Conference Player of the Week . Boston found herself open beyond the arc, got the ball, positioned her feet just beyond the 3-point line, and launched the ball toward the net. Swish. The Fever bench jumped up in celebration as Boston casually ran back on defense.

This season, she's 4-for-10 in her limited attempts beyond the arc. It's a new part of her game, and it's something that could become a threat to opposing teams.

How many points did Caitlin Clark score?

Caitlin Clark scored 18 points and led the Fever in rebounding with 12 boards. She also added six assists with six turnovers.

Steady but Slow: Resilience amid Divergence

Projections table, chapters in the report, statistical appendix, global recovery is steady but slow and differs by region.

April 2024 World Economic Outlook: Cover

The baseline forecast is for the world economy to continue growing at 3.2 percent during 2024 and 2025, at the same pace as in 2023. A slight acceleration for advanced economies—where growth is expected to rise from 1.6 percent in 2023 to 1.7 percent in 2024 and 1.8 percent in 2025—will be offset by a modest slowdown in emerging market and developing economies from 4.3 percent in 2023 to 4.2 percent in both 2024 and 2025. The forecast for global growth five years from now—at 3.1 percent—is at its lowest in decades. Global inflation is forecast to decline steadily, from 6.8 percent in 2023 to 5.9 percent in 2024 and 4.5 percent in 2025, with advanced economies returning to their inflation targets sooner than emerging market and developing economies. Core inflation is generally projected to decline more gradually.

The global economy has been surprisingly resilient, despite significant central bank interest rate hikes to restore price stability. Chapter 2 explains that changes in mortgage and housing markets over the prepandemic decade of low interest rates moderated the near-term impact of policy rate hikes. Chapter 3 focuses on medium-term prospects and shows that the lower predicted growth in output per person stems, notably, from persistent structural frictions preventing capital and labor from moving to productive firms. Chapter 4 further indicates how dimmer prospects for growth in China and other large emerging market economies will weigh on trading partners.

Chapter 1: Global Prospects and Policies

Economic activity was surprisingly resilient through the global disinflation of 2022–23. As global inflation descended from its mid-2022 peak, economic activity grew steadily, defying warnings of stagflation and global recession. However, the pace of expansion is expected to be low by historical standards and the speed of convergence toward higher living-standards for middle- and lower-income countries has slowed, implying persistent global disparities. With inflationary pressures abating more swiftly than expected in many countries, risks to the global outlook are now broadly balanced compared with last year. Monetary policy should ensure that inflation touches down smoothly. A renewed focus on fiscal consolidation is needed to rebuild room for budgetary maneuver and priority investments, and to ensure debt sustainability. Intensifying supply-enhancing reforms are crucial to increase growth towards the higher prepandemic era average and accelerate income convergence. Multilateral cooperation is needed to limit the costs and risks of geoeconomic fragmentation and climate change, speed the transition to green energy, and facilitate debt restructuring.

three point 4 yacht

Chapter 2: Feeling the Pinch? Tracing the Effects of Monetary Policy through Housing Markets

Why are some feeling the pinch from higher rates and not others? Chapter 2 investigates the effects of monetary policy across countries and over time through the lens of mortgage and housing markets. Monetary policy has greater effects where (1) fixed-rate mortgages are not common, (2) home buyers are more leveraged, (3) household debt is high, (4) housing supply is restricted, and (5) house prices are overvalued. These characteristics vary significantly across countries, and thus the effects of monetary policy are strong in some and weak in others. Moreover, recent shifts in mortgage and housing markets may have limited the drag of higher policy rates up to now in several countries. The risk that households may still feel the pinch should be taken seriously where fixed-rate mortgages have short fixation periods, especially if households are heavily indebted.

icon podcast

Chapter 3: Slowdown in Global Medium-Term Growth: What Will It Take to Turn the Tide?

The world economy's growth engine is losing steam, prompting questions about its medium-term prospects. Chapter 3 delves into the drivers behind the growth decline and identifies a significant and widespread slowdown in total factor productivity as a key factor, partly driven by increased misallocation of capital and labor between firms within sectors. Demographic pressures and a slowdown in private capital formation further precipitated the growth slowdown. Absent policy action or technological advances, medium-term growth is projected to fall well below prepandemic levels. To bolster growth, urgent reforms are necessary to improve resource allocation to productive firms, boost labor force participation, and leverage artificial intelligence for productivity gains. Addressing these issues is critical, given the additional constraints high public debt and geoeconomic fragmentation may impose on future growth.

April 2024 World Economic Outlook: Chapter 4

Chapter 4: Trading Places: Real Spillovers from G20 Emerging Markets

As G20 emerging markets account for almost one-third of world GDP and about one-quarter of global trade, spillovers from shocks originating in these economies can have important ramifications for global activity. Chapter 4 documents that, since 2000, spillovers from shocks in G20 emerging markets—particularly China—have increased and are now comparable in size to those from shocks in advanced economies. Trade, notably through global value chains, is a key propagation channel. Spillovers generate a reallocation of economic activity across firms and sectors in other countries. Looking ahead, a plausible growth acceleration in G20 emerging markets, even excluding China, could support global growth over the medium term and spill over to other countries. Policymakers in recipient economies should maintain sufficient buffers and strengthen policy frameworks to manage the possibility of larger shocks from G20 emerging markets.

Start of a dynasty: 25th Anniversary of Spurs’ 1999 NBA championship run

Tim duncan was named finals mvp averaging 27.4 point and 14.0 rebounds per game.

Larry Ramirez , Sports Anchor

On June 25, 1999, the San Antonio Spurs celebrated their first NBA Championship victory after defeating the New York Knicks in five games. This marked the first of the Spurs’ five total NBA Championships.

Securing the Larry O’Brien trophy for the Alamo City, the Spurs outperformed the Knicks.

Star player Tim Duncan was named Finals MVP after averaging an impressive 27.4 points and 14.0 rebounds per game.

The series began with the Spurs claiming victories in Game 1 and Game 2 at the Alamodome, with scores of 89-77 and 80-67, respectively.

Despite losing Game 3 at Madison Square Garden, the Spurs rallied to win Game 4 and Game 5, including a thrilling 78-77 victory in the series finale, where guard Avery Johnson sank the game-winning shot with just 47.0 seconds remaining in regulation.

Due to a lockout, the 1998-99 season was shortened to 50 regular season games, leading to some debate about the legitimacy of the Spurs’ championship win.

Because of the shortened season, Los Angeles Lakers head coach Phil Jackson controversially suggested the Spurs’ 99 NBA Championship deserved an asterisk.

At the same time, former Spurs player Steve Kerr, who played for Jackson in Chicago with the Bulls, dismissed the claim, saying, “That’s just Phil. He likes to provoke, to get under people’s skin. He was poking the Spurs because they were a threat.”

Nevertheless, the Spurs made history as the first ABA franchise to claim an NBA Championship, solidifying their place in basketball glory.

How to take a 3 point fix when sailing?

14 January 2020

A three point fix is a method of fixing your position on a chart within sight of land. Three bearings are taken from landmarks on shore.  You will need a chart, a handheld bearing compass and a pencil.

To take a three point fix when you are stationary is relatively easy, because the bearings will not change in the time it takes you to take all three bearings.  When you are sailing it becomes a little tricky. The perfect three point fix, would involve the three landmarks being 120 degrees apart, thus splitting a circle equally but this is rare. Great care must be taken when selecting your land bearings.

Before you take the bearings, have a look around to see which landmarks are clearly visible and also appear on the chart. Next, make sure your bearings are as wide apart as possible, if they are too close together your fix may be less accurate.  When taking your bearings, take the bearing where the angle changes least first, i.e. bearing on the bow or stern. Your second bearing should be the second slowest to change, i.e. on the quarter.  The third bearing is the bearing that changes the fastest i.e. on the beam.

These bearings should be taken as quickly and accurately as possible, then plotted on the chart.  Remember to convert these bearings from Compass (C) to True (T). Rarely will you be fortunate enough to have all three bearing lines on the chart intersect at a single position. Typically you will end up with a triangle which we call a cocked hat. It is safest to assume your position is within this cocked hat at the closest position to any navigational danger.
