• If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is confirmed more than 7 days in advance, a deposit of either $1,000 USD or 50% of the total cost of the reservation (whichever is greater) is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 7 days away, the remainder of the amount due is processed.
• If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is made 7 days or less in advance, the total price of your reservation is processed immediately.
• If you are booking for a multi-day charter and your reservation is confirmed more than 30 days in advance, a deposit of 50% of the cost of the yacht is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 30 days away, the other 50% is collected for the price of the yacht, plus the APA, plus the taxes due.

Terms of refunds are dictated by the Charter Agreement. Generally, once a payment is collected, it is non-refundable. In certain circumstances, as dictated by the Charter Agreement, credits can be provided so you will be able to enjoy your yacht charter at a future date that is convenient for you.

It was a truly unforgettable experience.  I booked a 150’ yacht in The Bahamas. During my trip, we explored the Exumas. Each day was better than the day before!  My favorite part of the trip was swimming with the nurse sharks at Compass Cay. The captain and crew were also incredible. Yes, passengers are free to bring whatever food, drinks, and alcohol they would like on their Miami yacht charter. We just ask that you not bring any red wine because it stains the boats. We want all our customers to have fun on their Miami yacht charter. Drink responsibly!

The cost of your Miami yacht charter will very on the size of the boat, length of the trip, and other factors. If you are looking for a cheap yacht rental in Miami, our cheapest boat rental in Miami is our 29ft Sea Ray which costs $1,500 for 4 hours.

Most of our yachts depart from Miami Beach Marina in South Beach. We have other yachts that depart from different marinas in south beach. We also have some options that leave from downtown Miami.

Yes, you must bring the card that you used to pay for the yacht rental and you must bring a photo ID that matches the credit card used to book the yacht rental. The photo ID must also clearly match the individual presenting the ID and credit card.

Miami Blue Yacht Rental does not allow for cancellations under any circumstances within 30 days of the departure of your trip. Cancellations made between 90 days and 30 days of your trip’s departure are subject to a 50% refund of the total cost of your charter. Cancellations made prior to 90 days of your trip departure will receive a full refund.

The cancellation policy above applies only to day trips. Any overnight charters will follow a separate cancellation policy that will be outlined in the charter contract between Miami Blue Yacht Rental and the client.

Miami Blue Yacht Rental will cancel charters if there is inclement weather preventing us from conducting the trip. In the event of inclement weather, we will issue a credit that is valid for 3 years after the initial charter departure date. That credit can be used towards a future charter with Miami Blue Yacht Rental.

Miami Blue Yacht Rental reserves the right to determine whether or not the weather permits us from conducting the charter.

For almost all of our Miami yachts we can only take a maximum of 12 guests due to United States Coast Guard regulations. Even if the boat you rented is over 100ft, it can only take a maximum of 12 passengers. The only Miami charter yachts that can take more than 12 passengers are event or party yachts with special certifications.

To rent a yacht with Miami Blue, the individual making payment and signing the charter contract must be at least 18 years of age. Customers are required to submit full payment up front to reserve a yacht or boat. If the departure date is more than 90 days away, customers are allowed to rent a boat or yacht with a 50% deposit. The remaining balance will be charged 90 days before the trip departs.

On the day of the charter, the individual who made the payment and signed the contract is required to be on board the vessel. That individual must arrive at the vessel with the credit card they used to book the boat or yacht, and they must arrive with a photo ID that matches the name on the credit card used to book the charter.

Yes, you can bring whatever food, drinks, or alcohol you’d like. We just ask that you don’t bring red wine because it stains the boats. You can also arrange to have your charter catered. We will connect you with one of our preferred partners who will handle all of the catering. In most cases, you can have the catering delivered to the yacht prior to your trip. That way everything is setup and ready to go when you arrive.

Yes. You are free to switch to a different yacht or boat if you give us at least 48 hours’ notice and the alternative yacht or boat is available on the date requested. If there is an additional cost of the new yacht, you would simply need to pay the additional balance for the upgraded vessel.

Yes, you can have your yacht rental catered. We can connect you with local caterers who can deliver food to the boat prior to the charter. You are also free to arrange food with your own caterer and bring it with you on the charter.

Smoking rules vary depending on which Miami yacht you book. Most of our yachts allow for vaping and electronic cigarettes on any part of the yacht that is not enclosed. Some of our yachts allow for smoking but only in specific areas on the yacht. Usually somewhere off the back of the yacht so that the smoke and ash does not get on the yacht.

The number of bedrooms on your Miami yacht tour will depend on the type and size of the yacht you book. All of our Miami yacht charter listings have information on the number of beds and the number of staterooms for each yacht. If you have any questions about the number of bedrooms on your Miami Yacht rental, feel free to call our office at 954-299-5455.

What’s included on your Miami yacht tour will depend on which yacht you book. Each of our yacht your listings state the water toys and floats that are included. If you are looking to add additional water toys to your Miami yacht rental feel to call one of our agents and see what additional water toys we have available.

• Balloons are not allowed on board on of our yacht or boat rentals. Balloons can cause issues and make it difficult for the crew to navigate. Additionally, if the balloons pop and fall into the water they are terrible for the environment. • Self-tanning oils and bronzers are not allowed onboard. The cause stains on the yacht’s upholstery that are very difficult to remove. • Please avoid wearing denim or jean clothing as the dyes from these clothes can stain the upholstery when they get wet. • Please do not wear any temporary hair dye or wigs. The ink seeps out due to the moisture and the humidity and can cause bad stains. • Please avoid bringing wed wine or other similar drinks. If they spill they can cause stains that are extremely difficult to clean and remove. • No Hookah, shisha, or other items that have an open flame such as BBQ equipment, gas, propane, coals, etc. • We do not allow glitter or confetti on our yacht charters. • No pets are allowed on board our yachts. • Any damage that is caused to the yacht upholstery, flooring, or other surfaces caused by beverages, smoking, or dye from wet clothing will incur additional charges for the repair and damages to be fixed.

Our captains and crew know all of the best spots to go and all of the best sights to see out on the water. We ask our customers not to wear shoes on our yachts to help keep the yacht clean and to help maintain the condition of the yacht. If you wear shoes on your yacht rental in Miami, it can bring dirt onto the yacht or damage the deck of the boat. In order to have a clean boat for the duration of your Miami yacht charter, we ask our guests to remove their shoes.

A certified mechanic / Tech assigned to your vessel

That oversees the general maintenance and repairs to your vessel. Our company has specialized team members in the areas of yacht detailing and washing, underwater diver service, electrical technicians, fiberglass & gel coat repairs as well as staff certified diesel & gasoline mechanics ready for any repairs or emergencies. Vessel inspections are scheduled at least once per week (more if required due to charter schedule or personal use).

Engine Compartment Inspections

Turn on engines and generator(s), visually check engines, generator, transmission, mechanical parts, all fluids, batteries, pumps, hoses and clamps for proper operation. Inspect and test of all electrical, plumbing, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Check for proper operation of AC system, heads, electrical, galley equipment and power up all navigation electronics as well as all appliances.

Check the general appearance of paint, stainless steal railings, teak, fiberglass, all water hoses, salt and fresh water wash downs, bottom paint, eisenglass, stairs, bars, freezers, etc. Inspect all required safety equipment by U.S.C.G…

Bottom of Hull

Every 30 days divers will clean and inspect hull area under the water and all running gear. Keeping hull and running gear free of barnacles and all intake sea cocks clear.

Check the safety of the marina as it applies to your yacht, proper mooring and fender placement. Check the power cord and the surroundings of your yacht, i.e. dock boxes etc. Administrative: If you so desire we will pay all the vessel’s related bills such as mortgage, insurance, dockage and marina, maintenance and repairs, fuel, boat cleaning, crew salaries and incidentals (Bank account set up required).

Move vessel to/from fueling dock, boat yard and mechanical repair facilities. Coordinate with boat yard for prices, length of stay and oversee the work being done to vessel. Maintain logbooks of all work done. Keep up with the legal paperwork required to be on board vessel at all times. Once a month send out report (spreadsheet) of vessel progress to owner(s).

82-foot yacht catches fire in shipyard next to Miami River; no injuries

MIAMI (WSVN) - Firefighters battled a fierce blaze in Miami when a brand-new yacht went up in flames.

More than 32 City of Miami Fire Rescue units and 100 firefighters responded to the scene at the Merrill-Stevens Yachts, a shipyard located near Northwest 12th Avenue and 11th Street, next to the Miami River, at around 11:15 a.m., Sunday.

Video posted on social media showed thick billowing smoke coming from the boat house.

“They found an 82-foot vessel, state of the art, fully engulfed in flames,” said Miami Fire Rescue Lt. Pete Sanchez.

Officials said crews managed to save other boats from damage.

“There were also other yachts surrounding that yacht. Firefighters were able to unhook them, ’cause they were obviously on the water,” said Sanchez. “They were able to unhook them and pull them out onto the canal way there, making sure that they weren’t affected, because this is a covered structure where the boats are in water, and there was a lot of smoke, so you can have smoke damage and even flame damage, ’cause the flames were very intense.”

Crews were seen hosing down the Vision F2 yacht for almost two hours.

The state-of-the-art vessel is made of materials that, fire officials said, ignited more fumes, and that made the blaze hard to control.

“And there was the fire boat and the City of Miami Hazardous Materials [Response] Team, which conducted a foam operation to be able to extinguish this blaze,” said Sanchez. “We did find some hot spots, because this is a state-of-the-art yacht with materials that are difficult to extinguish. It also has solar-powered panels on the top and a lot of electrical batteries as well.”

Thankfully, no one was on board the yacht when the fire started.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
