LA PELLEGRINA 1 Yacht for Charter

Sleek, stylish and fast, the 164'1" (50m) LA PELLEGRINA 1 is an inspired choice for charter. She was launched by Couach shipyard in 2012 and she features exterior design by Exequiel Cano Lanza, and interior design by JP – Fantini Design. She can welcome up to 12 guests and they sleep in a master, a VIP, two double staterooms, and two twins. Each is a light, well-designed space with luxurious amenities. A refit in 2020 took the yacht to higher levels of excellence to meet the needs of the discerning modern charterer.

The yacht is equipped with twin MTU engines for a cruising speed of 22 knots and a top speed of 25 knots. Her range is 3,500 nautical miles. Guests can look forward to exploring the finest areas of the Mediterranean, with the Amalfi Coast, French Riviera, Monaco, and the islands of Corsica and Sardinia being favored destinations. The guests have access to impressive shared social areas and welcoming deck spaces. Alfresco dining areas combine with comfortable seating and a deck Jacuzzi for ultimate relaxation in the sun.

Guests can combine the best of life on board with attractions ashore. The crew of 10 ensure the yacht is kept in top condition, and they deliver fantastic cuisine and create incredible itineraries, making all the necessary arrangements for guests. Ashore, guests can enjoy world-class restaurants, spas, beaches and leisure attractions. The yacht’s water toys keep guests busy on the ocean. There are paddleboards, a Sea-Doo Jet Ski, wakeboards, water skis, SeaBobs, a kitesurfer, snorkeling gear, fishing equipment and a banana. The guests can also use the gym or simply relax on deck.

Built in 2012 by the renowned French shipyard – Chantier Naval Couach, La Pellegrina 1’s  hull was constructed using a Kevlar Carbon infusion process, giving her a strong, robust aesthetic along with a transatlantic range.

Very much like her namesake, La Pellegrina 1’s  sturdy and unyielding exterior is complemented by a luxurious interior designed by Jean-Pierre Fantini. Natural light floods in through the floor-to-ceiling windows in the open-plan saloon, guiding your eyes to the yacht’s elegant and impeccable furnishings.

The opulence is further highlighted in the six cabins accommodating up to 12 guests. All cabins have their own entertainment centre and the finest marble in each en suite bathroom. Not to mention the master suite with its own private deck and the VIP suite on the main deck forward, providing a 180-degree unencumbered sea view.

La Pellegrina 1’s  outdoor areas also have noteworthy features that make her stand out in the charter market. An outdoor dining and entertaining area can be found on the sheltered, expansive aft deck. More al fresco dining can be enjoyed on the sundeck with three settees, or take in some rays on the comfortable sunbeds after a refreshing splash in the spa Jacuzzi. 

If all of that wasn’t enough, the dynamic and experienced crew of 10 is on hand to provide the silver service you and your clients deserve.

La Pellegrina was built in 2012 by the renowned French shipyard Couach. Supporting the shipyard’s reputation of using state-of-the-art composite materials, La Pellegrina’s hull and superstructure were built in reinforced carbon Kevlar. With a gross tonnage of 498, a maximum speed of in the region of 25 knots and range of 3,500 nautical miles at ten knots La Pellegrina’S technical marvel combines fast cruising with long-range and luxurious comfort.

Aesthetically, she is an alluring 50m superyacht with a grey hull accentuating her sleek lines. A plethora of exterior areas await, offering generous exterior space for al fresco dining with an abundance of lounging areas.

La Pellegrina’s interior is incredibly light and bright thanks to the furnishings and floor to ceiling windows in the main saloon and dining room with light coloured sofas and neutral toned cushions. This colour theme is continued throughout her six cabins which can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests. On the upper deck the master stateroom has a spacious bathroom complete with bath and shower, along with its own private exterior « Owners » deck.

The VIP cabin is located forward on the main deck again with a private outdoor deck forward offering panoramic / 180 degree views from within while the four comfortable guest cabins are located on the lower deck, each with their own en-suites.

La Pellegrina recently underwent a comprehensive refit which included many upgrades and enhancements. Constantly and lovingly maintained by her present owner she is now offered for sale and is ready for the coming season be it privately or for charter.

Her exterior features were designed by Cano Lanza yacht design, while her interior was designed by JP Fantini design with naval architecture by Chantier Naval Couach. She was named after the most famous pearl in the world to describe her elegant beauty.

The superyacht La Pellegrina 1 previously named La Pellegrina has a volume of 490GT and a beam of 9.3m with a draft of 2.6m rank the 1008th on the world’s largest yacht list, and she’s the second-largest yacht built by Couach.

The Exterior 

La Pellegrina 1’s outdoor area has breathtaking features such as; outdoor dining and entertaining found on the sheltered, expansive aft deck. More al fresco dining can be enjoyed on the sundeck with three settees, along with taking in some rays on the comfortable sunbeds, after a refreshing splash in the Spa Jacuzzi.

The Interior

The interior of La Pellegrina is lavishly designed with large floor-to-ceiling windows to allow for an ample amount of light. Also, her design is accentuated with exotic wooden features.

Moreover, she can accommodate 12 guests in total. Her exquisite interior was designed with a six-cabin layout, consisting of a master suite on the upper deck, a VIP suite on the main deck, and three doubles with queen beds and a twin cabin below. Her accommodation includes the Owner’s suite, the VIP cabin, four guest cabins on the lower deck. 

The owner’s suite is located on the rear of the bridge deck. It has a private exterior deck that gives a wide view of the ocean. The VIP cabin is located on the main deck, also, it has its own private terrace and it is adjacent to the cabin on the foredeck. This suite also offers a good view of the ocean due to its semi-circular windows. 

Also, the lower deck of the yacht has four guest rooms. Each with its own ensuite bathroom.

Day one: Ischia

Board La Pellegrina 1 in Naples. After settling in, cruise the serene Bay of Naples to the island of Ischia. Step ashore for a stroll around the village of Sant’Angelo then unwind in the thermal spas of this ancient volcanic island.

Day two and three: Capri

Set sail in the morning for chic Capri, where cable cars will take you straight to the city centre in a matter of minutes. Stroll around the famous Piazzetta, a hive of activity that’s packed with cute cafés and locals going about their day. The following morning, pay a visit to the baroque dome of Santo Stefan and the charming town of Anacapri on the slopes of Monte Solaro.

Day four: Positano

Cruise towards the mainland and anchor beneath the pastel-coloured town of Positano. Naturally beautiful and postcard-perfect, this ancient settlement is famous for the production of limoncello. Enjoy an afternoon of water sports or head into town to explore her hidden charms. The church of Santa Maria Assunta, built in the 1920s, is a must-see.

Day five: Amalfi

Cruise the short distance to the traditional fishing village of Amalfi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which boasts a rich history as a maritime state. Take time to wander her cobbled streets and pick up some local food and souvenirs. Return to La Pellegrina 1 to begin the overnight crossing to the Aeolian Islands.

Day six: Sorrento

The romantic town of Sorrento is known for its sweeping water views and the bustling, café-lined square of Piazza Tasso. The historic centre is a warren of narrow alleys that’s home to many shops, as well as the Chiesa di San Francisco, a 14th-century church with a tranquil cloister.

Day seven: Naples

Before heading back to Naples, stop in the historic city of Pompeii. Take a walk among the ruins and pay homage to her past. Have lunch back on board before hiking to nearby Mount Vesuvius, or visit the vineyards that line the famous landscape.

The LaPerm cat is a newer breed with a relatively short history. In fact, the first known LaPerm litter was born in 1982 in the United States. Perhaps best known for its distinctive appearance, the LaPerm has gently wavy to tightly curled hair, which can be short or long. Because the LaPerm is the result of a natural genetic mutation, LaPerms can come in every color and coat pattern.

LaPerms tend to be extremely affectionate with their close family members and thrive in a household with or without children or other pets. Because the LaPerm originated from barn cats, they're very active cats with higher exercise and play needs—and they especially love a good game of chase. Despite their higher activity levels, LaPerms are happy to cuddle up on the couch after a good play session, and they do more purring than vocalizing.

LaPerm Characteristics

The LaPerm is a medium-sized cat that takes two to three years to reach full maturity. It's known best for its coat, which is generally wavy in short-haired LaPerms and curly in longer haired cats. Either way, the LaPerm has a very outgoing personality. This is a cat that loves to interact and play with its humans, both children and adult, before settling down for a good purr and a cuddle on the nearest lap. It generally gets along with other family pets, as well.

History of the LaPerm

Although the LaPerm has a relatively short history, the origin story is fascinating. In 1982, in a cherry orchard in The Dalles, Oregon, owners of a brown tabby barn cat named Speedy noticed an interesting trait in one of its six kittens: It was completely bald, unlike its soft, brown siblings. Plus, it was small in size, but had a long body.

After about eight weeks, the kitten started to grow soft, wavy hair all over its body. Not surprisingly, it was named Curly. After Curly had matured—and the owners got to know its sweet, docile personality—it had a litter of five tabby kittens. Those kittens, too, were born completely bald, but developed soft, curly coats a few months after birth.

Over the next decade, the owners, Linda and Richard Koehl, didn't control Curly's breeding or track any of the litters produced—so the number of curly haired kittens increased rapidly.

In 1992, Linda entered six of her curly haired cats into a Cat Fanciers' Association show in Portland, Oregon. The show required a breed name for registration, so Linda registered LaPerm—because the cats' coats look like they have a permanent wave. After the show, Linda started a monitored breeding program to better track the development of LaPerm cats and to gain recognition from the world's largest cat associations.

Today, the LaPerm cat is recognized by the American Cat Fanciers Association, the Cat Fanciers' Association, and the International Cat Association.

LaPerm Care

Thanks to their minimal undercoat and curly hair that tends to stick to the body rather than drop to the floor, LaPerms don't shed very much, although they are not truly hypoallergenic cats. You can reduce shedding further by brushing your feline regularly. On the off-chance it does develop a mat or tangle—which is unusual even in the long-haired LaPerms—gently comb it out with a slicker brush or comb.

If your LaPerm's curls need a boost, mist its coat with water from a spray bottle and gently scrunch the curls with your hands to add wave and encourage more curls.

In any cat, dental hygiene is extremely important and can help prevent the development of periodontal disease. Daily brushing is always ideal, but if you can brush your LaPerm's teeth once a week, it can offer some protection.

Be sure to check your LaPerm's ears regularly , using a soft, cotton cloth to gently remove dirt or debris. If your cat's ears are excessively dirty, red, inflamed, or smell off, get them checked out by your veterinarian immediately. These can be signs of injury or infection.

Because the LaPerm descends from highly active barn cats, they have higher exercise needs than some other cat breeds. Keeping your cat entertained with cat toys , such as crinkle balls, catnip mice, ribbon-wand "cat dancers," or electronic cat toys will keep it exercised and engaged when you don't have time for one-on-one interactions. LaPerms love to chase, so games like fetch can be especially fun for your cat.

Common Health Problems

The LaPerm is generally a healthy cat, with no tendencies towards any particular health conditions or illnesses. However, any cat can potentially develop health problems during its lifetime, and the LaPerm is no exception.

If you're concerned about your LaPerm's health, talk to your veterinarian about ways to help your cat live a long, happy, healthy life.

In terms of size and shape, the LaPerm is a medium-sized cat with a somewhat athletic build and long legs relative to their size. But it's the coat that makes this breed special; these cats have wavy to curly hair.

Surprisingly, it is not uncommon for a LaPerm kitten to be born without any fur at all, however. Others have short hair at birth, but lose their coats within their first few weeks, starting at the top of the head. Over the next several months, the kitten grows its coat back in, and even a bald-at-birth LaPerm will generally sport a curly coat by the time it is several months old.

The fur of a LaPerm is generally curliest along the cat's belly, at the throat, and at the base of its ears. Short-haired LaPerms usually have more wave, while long-haired LaPerms can boast tighter ringlets and curls. Long-haired LaPerms also generally have a large, curly neck ruff and a very fluffy, plumed tail.

Both long-haired and short-haired LaPerms generally have coats that stand slightly away from their bodies, giving the cat a fluffy, airy appearance. Their hair is soft and springy and doesn't tend to shed excessively. But these are not considered truly hypoallergenic cats.

When it comes to color, anything goes. Your LaPerm cat can have fur in any color or pattern that is genetically possible for cats, including solid, bi-color, tabby, calico, "tuxedo," tortoiseshell, or even colored "points" on the ears, face, and tail that are typically a trait of the Siamese cat.

As with the coat, a LaPerm's eye color can be any shade that's normally found in cats, including amber, green, brown, copper, blue, or eyes of two different colors.

Like all cats your LaPerm requires a diet that's high in protein, low in carbohydrates, and moderate in fat. Feeding your feline a high-quality cat food that's formulated for its age is the best way to keep your cat healthy. Be wary of overfeeding, however. Some cats regulate their food intake to maintain a healthy weight, but others feast until the bowl is empty, and can become overweight, which is bad for their health.

Most adult cats do well with two meals per day. Kittens need to eat more often, but in smaller amounts per meal. Your cat can enjoy a diet of all canned food, all kibble, or a mixture of both.

Occasional treats are fun for both you and your cat, but don't let them make up too much of your cat's daily calorie intake. As a very rough rule of thumb, a healthy, adult 10-pound cat should consume around 250 calories per day.

Where to Adopt or Buy a LaPerm

As LaPerms are not very common, you are unlikely to find one at a rescue or shelter. In fact, there might not be any LaPerm breeders in your area at all. But you might have success finding a breeder at a cat show, especially in a larger city. Another option is checking the breeder listings on the major cat association websites, such as The International Cat Association .

The LaPerm is a very active, curious, and friendly cat that can be a wonderful pet for a family with children, a single adult, or anyone looking for a feline that loves interaction and cuddles, but also enjoys active play. Its curly coat is definitely an attention getter, but these cats also offer a great deal of companionship and affection to their humans.

A purebred LaPerm can cost several hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars, depending on the breeder, the cat's pedigree, and the area in which the breeder is located. These cats are rarely found in shelters or rescues, but you might be lucky if you are persistent. Adoption fees from shelters can be as little as $25 or as much as a few hundred dollars.

While it is true that LaPerms don't tend to shed as much as many other breeds, they are not considered a hypoallergenic cat.

Most LaPerm cats have very sociable, friendly personalities. They love to interact with their humans, and are very curious and outgoing. These cats need a lot of attention, playtime, stimulation, and opportunities for petting and cuddling.

What does \( -perm -4000 -o -perm -2000 \)?

I wonder what \( -perm -4000 -o -perm -2000 \) does. I think it is permission levels but i have trouble finding the -perm command in any documentations.

In full context it used in sudo find / -type f \( -perm -4000 -o -perm -2000 \) -print

This looks like trying to find suid (4000:set userid) sgid (2000:set groupid) file.

that is binary that, when run get a new userid, or a new groupid. those are use mostly for

• system related task
• database (e.g. file belong to oracle or mysql)
• hacking system ...
