Luxury motor yacht ‘Mariu’ is a 163.9 ft in / 49.90 meter long Codecasa Italian built vessel. M/Y Mariu is unique with her clean, minimalist, practical and yet luxuriously comfortable Giorgio Armani design and styling. Motor yacht MARIU’s interior décor is refined and elegant, boasting a minimalistic atmosphere and is the work of Giorgio Armani. Pale oak panels, fine teak floors, bespoke aluminum ceilings and supple leather furnishings combined, create a tailored yet timeless vibe. The main deck offers a comfortable salon and optional dining area, with a generous lounge, plush seating and coffee table.

Forward of the salon is the full beam master stateroom, complete with king size bed, his and hers facilities and Jacuzzi tub. A double cabin is available on the main deck, while below decks are 4 further luxurious guest cabins.

The skylounge is perfectly suited for casual or formal entertaining and is directly accessed from the salon, by a stair case. The skylounge features plenty of seating, coffee table and state of the art entertainment systems. Natural light greets both decks with ease, thanks to panoramic windows. Ensuring guests optimum comfort, charter yacht MARIU offers a built in elevator, reaching all 4 decks.

On deck living is well-appointed throughout all 3 exterior levels. The main deck features a large teak table and comfortable seating, with overhead shade and direct access to the main salon. For the water enthusiasts, an extended swim platform and sea toys garage is the ideal activity center, to enjoy the abundance of water toys on offer, even boasting an RYA training facility.

On the upper deck, adjacent to the skylounge is an alfresco dining table for up to 12 guests, plus a full beam aft seating area, creating the perfect entertaining venue. Oozing style and cool sophistication, her build was commissioned by the iconic fashion designer Giorgio Armani. His unique design and vision are evident throughout the open plan saloons and minimalist outdoor guest areas.

About MARIU

Boarding MARIU from her swim platform, walk up the sweeping steps onto her main deck aft where the crew will greet you with a warm welcome. You won’t want to delay heading up to the large sun deck, with its jacuzzi, loungers and sit-up bar. Spend some time here acclimatising to life on board, soaking up the sun before taking a tour of the yacht. Note the enormous dining tables that sit beneath canopies for cool shade – the perfect spot for al fresco lunch. Enjoy fresh cuisine with Mediterranean and Asian influences prepared by the talented Italian chef, before relaxing on the upper deck beneath the shade of an awning.

Come the afternoon and MARIU will display another of her strengths, offering a myriad selection of watersports for all capabilities. As an RYA approved training centre for personal watercraft, guests can gain a temporary license to ride the jetskis and waverunners for the duration of the yacht charter. The yacht’s toy box is also bursting at the seams with SeaBobs, a hoverboard, scuba diving equipment and all manner of towable toys to amuse yourself in the waters around the yacht.

Back on board, MARIU’s guest areas are ideally set up for families and friends to socialise together while still allowing her guests to find space for some quiet time if desired. Forward on the main deck, for example, is a large circular lounge area, the perfect spot for privacy when berthed stern to, while her bridge deck saloon is filled with sumptuous sofas.

Dinner can be served al fresco on the bridge deck or main deck aft or, should the weather demand it, in the formal dining lounge. An elevator connects all four decks, so elderly guests and perhaps those who have exhausted themselves with the watersports can retire to one of MARIU’s sumptuous cabins without taking the stairs. With a full beam master and a double cabin on the main deck, and four further doubles on the lower deck, guests will be ensconced in luxury 24/7.

MARIU Yacht for Charter

Built in 2003, the 167-foot (49.9m) custom luxury motor yacht MARIU is exceptional. Created exclusively for fashion powerhouse, Giorgio Armani, it is no question why this luxury charter yacht is revered for her impeccable style.

MARIU’s sleek exterior was created by Codecasa, which also created the yacht’s remarkable engineering system. This semi-displacement cruiser has an excellent stabilization system, including at anchor stabilizers, to ensure complete comfort at all times. She is able to reach a max speed of 17.5 knots and can cruise at 15 knots. MARIU had lovely outdoor spaces well suited for alfresco dining or socializing and offers an on-deck Jacuzzi on her sundeck, which can be shaded if guests prefer. She also has gym equipment available for guests keen to keep in shape while on board.

The interior of MARIU was designed by Giorgio Armani S.p.A. Featuring an oasis-like atmosphere, guests will enjoy ample space and modern accompaniments. From rustic teak to bleached oak and sumptuous furnishings, MARIU exudes elegance. Exotic textures including rich leathers and unique aluminum ceilings create a unique atmosphere aboard this charter yacht. The yacht’s open layout allows spaces to effortlessly flow. Her four decks are easily accessed via an elevator. The main deck once housed an offer, but it was replaced with a 200-bottle wine cellar that carries impressive vintages for guests to enjoy.

MARIU welcomes up to 12 guests in six resplendent double staterooms, all that are outfitted in exceptional Armani style. Minimalist and elegant, the cabins are well suited for families or groups of friends.

• MARIU is an RYA training establishment for personal water craft (P.W.C or jet skis). As such, a temporary license can be awarded to guests aboard MARIU, valid for the duration of their stay aboard. Guests between the age of 12 to 16 can receive the certificate, but they need to be accompanied by a licensed adult aboard the jet ski, they cannot ride alone. All guests who wish to receive the license, must do a 1 hour training session with the instructor (crew) aboard MARIU. The training is very low key, enjoyable and frankly hard to ‘fail’, but must none the less be completed in order for the yacht to fulfill the obligation of safety aboard.

Built by Giorgio Armani, MARIU played host to many Monaco Grand Prix parties, and as such, she’s an ideal yacht for entertaining—or simply lounging across her breathtaking decks.

Launched in 2003, the MARIU yacht features bespoke Armani-designed interiors that are just as breathtaking today.

Interior Design & Engineering

You’ll find lots of leather, richly-grained woods and aluminium ceilings that softly reflect the rustic wide teak floorboards and bleached oak panelling on the MARIU motor yacht. Her spacious, high-fashion interior was designed to stand out against the classic white, marble, and crystal you find on so many luxury superyachts.

During your MARIU yacht charter, 12 guests will be accommodated across one master, four doubles and one convertible cabin.

Yacht Facilities & Entertainment

Some of the MARIU yacht’s highlights include a 200-bottle wine cellar and an elevator that connects all decks. It’s also possible to maintain your fitness regime, as you’ll find gym equipment, yoga equipment, an elliptical machine, Pilates gear, and more.

You’ll find enormous dining tables on her decks, with plenty of shade on offer by her beautiful canopies. For a more intimate setting, you can relax in her private circular exterior lounge forward on the main deck.

MARIU’s sun deck is expansive. You can sit in the front Jacuzzi or soak up the sunshine on the sun pads before cooling off with a refreshment at the shaded sit-up bar. When you’re ready for more sun, you can head aft to recline on one of the many loungers - or roll out your yoga mat.

Toys & Crew

A crew of 11 will oversee your MARIU yacht charter.

Since she’s an RYA training centre for personal watercraft, adult guests will be able to get temporary licences that enable them to drive the jet skis and waverunners throughout their stay on board. Teenagers between 12 and 16 can get their own certificate, but they’ll need to be accompanied by a licenced adult.

MARIU’s overflowing toy garage includes a flyboard, a jet pack, multiple wakeboards, kiteboards, kitesurfing gear, and a collection of towable toys.

You can go snorkelling or enjoy rendezvous diving, paddle away on her kayaks, and try to catch your dinner with the fishing gear.

When you want to head ashore, she has two tenders to take you and four mountain bikes to aid your land-based explorations.

Textures and tones found onboard include leather, richly grained woods and aluminium ceilings that have a soft reflective sheen, beautifully contrasting the rustic wide teak floorboards and bleached oak panelling. With open-plan saloons and minimalist staterooms, MARIU has six well-appointed double cabins. The yacht is ideally set up for families and friends charters. An elevator connects all four decks, including a very large sun deck that can be flexibly shaded for sunbathing or an afternoon nap. The Jacuzzi that is found forward on the sun deck is the ideal place to enjoy sundowners. The main deck office has recently been replaced with a 200-bottle wine cellar allowing guests to enjoy a large variety of refined wines. Armani’s ideas and vision have leapt from catwalk to cakewalk. MARIU is now an RYA training establishment for personal water craft. As such, a temporary license to drive jet skis and waverunners can be awarded to guests aboard MARIU, valid for the duration of their stay aboard. Guests between the age of 12 to 16 can also receive the certificate, but they need to be accompanied by a licensed adult aboard the jet ski.

With accommodation for up to 12 guests, this one-of-a-kind, palatial vessel is available for charter in the Greek Islands, Croatia, Cyprus, the Ionian Sea, Montenegro and Turkey.

MARIU is based in Athens, she may exceptionally relocate to the Adriatic for a minimum of two weeks charter plus delivery fees.

The yacht is ideally set up for extended families and groups, with a variety of deck spaces for relaxing or entertaining. An elevator connects all four decks, including an impressive, versatile sun deck that invites sunbathing or socialising, with a retractable roof, jacuzzi and enough sunlounges for all guests to lie back and enjoy the Mediterranean sunshine. The pleasant foredeck table and seating area is a perfect social space for breakfast or cocktails at sunset.

The bridge deck and main deck both have dining spaces aft, surrounding by lounges and sunpads for laidback meals. The main deck flows into the saloon with its formal dining space for more elegant occasions, while the bridge aft deck is adjacent to the upper saloon which is furnished with several comfortable lounges for reclining in absolute luxury and style.

True to Armani’s covetable brand, the interiors throughout MARIU are exquisite and refined. Textures and tones found onboard include leather, richly grained woods and aluminium ceilings that have a soft reflective sheen, beautifully contrasting the rustic wide teak floorboards and bleached oak panelling.

Light and airy, with abundant windows, the ambience onboard MARIU is welcoming and warm.

The main saloon has a card table, while the upper saloon has a flat screen TV, bar with fridge and icemaker.

The main deck office has recently been replaced with a 200-bottle wine cellar extending to guests the opportunity to enjoy a variety of international wines.

ACCOMMODATION

MARIU has six well-appointed double cabins, including a massive, full-beam master suite with king bed, plenty of robe space, desk and large his/her bathroom ensuite each with shower and central jacuzzi. Also on the main deck is the VIP double queen cabin, two kings with two additional Pullman berths and two additional king staterooms, each with private ensuite facilities.

Décor in the staterooms is chic and fresh, with subtle lighting, large windows with concertina blinds for privacy and UV protection, and elegant accessories and floral arrangements.

All cabins are fitted with the Kaleidoscape AV system, Apple TV and Satellite TV (upgraded 2020) with iPad mini remote controls and a server boasting 1,100 movies and 300 CDs. 

WATERTOYS & TENDERS

MARIU is an RYA training establishment for personal watercraft and her vast array of water sports will impress even the most active guests. There are two RIB tenders on board, a 9.5m Novurania chase tender and a 4m Castoldi jet tender for trips to shore and pulling watertoys.

Guests will enjoy the array of awesome gear, including a Seadoo RXP 255, Yamaha Wave runner 1800, two Seabobs, Fly board Legend, JetSurf motorized surfboard and Jet pack. In addition, there are kneeboards and bodyboards, wakeboards, Wakesurf Liquid Force, kiteboard, kitesurfing kites, waterskiis, windsurfers, SUPS, kayaks, towable Banana and assorted inflatables for children and adults, game fishing gear, snorkelling equipment, six full sets of diving equipment (RDV Diving only) plus compressor, four mountain bikes and two new Nautibuoy platforms for easier access to watersports or just enjoying sunbathing at water level.

For those charter guests who want to maintain their gym routine, MARIU is equipped with top-quality gym equipment for use on the sundeck, including TRX slings and elastic strings, Eliptical machine and stationary bike, plus yoga gear and weights.

The professional crew of 11 aboard MARIU, including an accomplished Chef, are renowned for their skills and commitment to creating memorable charters for all their guests.

The 50m superyacht MARIU has availability this winter for luxury charters in the Caribbean . 

Delivered by Codecasa in 2003, motor yacht MARIU boasts sleek and elegant interior design, styled by Giorgio Armani. In her lounging areas, fine leather, reflective surfaces and teak flooring combine to create a rustic environment where relaxation is paramount.

An elevator connects all of her open plan rooms across her four decks, and provides easy access to her comfy sunbathing areas. Guests can enjoy delicious al fresco dining at her sheltered dining table against the backdrop of popular Caribbean charter destinations like St. Barts .

MARIU’s flexible layout, perfect for families, accommodates up to 12 guests within 6 staterooms, comprising of a master suite, a VIP stateroom, four double cabins and two Pullman berths. Her staterooms are strikingly minimalist in design, with bleached oak panelling complemented by soft, neutral-coloured furnishings, ensuring family and friends can easily unwind.

Her sundeck Jacuzzi makes the perfect spot to enjoy views of the Caribbean islands, whilst enjoying a cocktail.

Her  long list of toys caters for all ages, including wake boards, inflatable water toys, mountain bikes and Jet-skis.  As a RYA training establishment for personal water craft, guests can take to the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean by jet-ski following obtaining a temporary license for the duration of charter vacation.

Currently based in Antigua , MARIU has an impressive cruising speed of 17.5 knots and cruises at 15 knots.

10 below deck charter guests who will never return to the franchise.

While the charter guests who appear on Below Deck have a great time while filming the show, many aren't invited back for a number of reasons.

• Some charter guests on Below Deck have caused unnecessary drama and won't likely return due to bad behavior.
• Captain Glenn Shephard from Below Deck Sailing Yacht faced backlash from Barrie, who called him two-faced.
• Former guest Dr. Francis Martinis will not return to Below Deck after he was arrested for faking prescriptions.

The Below Deck franchise has featured many charter guests since 2013, many of whom will never return . The Bravo series focuses on expensive charters with wealthy guests who have attitude problems and over-the-top demands. That includes Charter guest Alexis Bellino, who boarded Captain Lee Rosbach’s yacht with her boyfriend at the time, Andy Bohn. She was disrespectful and made everyone uncomfortable with her and Andy's PDA. She even insulted crew members after featuring on the show.

Like Alexis, Delores Flora from Below Deck season 8 was a terrible guest. Not only did she misbehave, but she also got drunk and s wam while intoxicated, which is not only not allowed, it frightened the crew members. Delores got kicked out of the yacht the next day. These guests created unnecessary drama on the boat and will likely never return like a few others from the franchise.

Barrie and Tony Drewitt Barlow had a decent time in the Below Deck Sailing Yacht seasons 2 and 3. Despite that, they left with a bitter taste because of Captain Glenn Shephard. In 2021, Barrie participated in a podcast, Pita Party: The Podcast , where he claimed that Captain Glenn bothered him while using his phone .

Barrie said, “he (Captain Glenn) was a two-face b*stard,” adding that he just didn’t like his presence.

7 Frank Fay

Below deck mediterranean.

In Below Deck Mediterranean season 7, Charter guest Frank Fay had a thing for second stew Kyle Viljoen. He pursued him on the yacht, but unfortunately, their relationship didn’t last. Frank will likely never return to the series as long as Captain Sandy Yawn allows Kyle to work for her. Even if Kyle quits, Frank wouldn’t want to be in an environment that would remind him of his failed relationship.

6 Erica Rose

Erica Rose appeared on Below Deck Sailing Yacht two seasons in a row. Erica was highly offensive toward the crew member, as well as her husband, Charles Sanders, and to make things worse, she left the crew with a measly tip , leading fans to slam her on social media. Ultimately, Erica had to apologize for her bad attitude but never returned to give the crew the tip they deserved. Nobody on Below Deck Sailing Yacht would ever want to return.

5 Justin Guarini

Justin Guarini’s time on Below Deck Sailing Yacht was not dramatic at all; however, he’ll probably never return to the series. Justin wouldn’t return because he wasn't the primary guest. He joined his friend, Kim, who wanted to enjoy a luxury yacht trip. It was more of a one-and-done deal. Secondly, nobody recognized him at all. Viewers later realized who he was and how he was the runner-up on American Idol season 1. Justin is a theatre artist and has made a name for himself. However, it was embarrassing that so many fans had no clue who he was .

4 johnny damon.

Johnny Damon’s time at Below Deck Med was full of explosive moments. Once, he sent the food back, citing that the experience wasn’t “five stars.” On another occasion, his wife, Michelle, created drama by yelling at the owner of another yacht . Overall, the experience was simply terrible on both sides. Crew members didn’t love Johnny and his wife, and the couple didn’t respect the crew members. It is unlikely that Captain Sandy would want to host the couple again as long as she’s in charge.

3 Krystal Murphy

Former charter guest Krystal Murphy boarded Captain Lee’s yacht with her friends. She immediately began showing red flags, drinking, and just being a menace. Krystal fought with her friend, Chelsea, creating unnecessary drama. She even passed out and punched a friend in the face. Former Chief Stew Kate Chastain disliked serving Krystal and called her a “spoiled brat;” she wanted to throw her off the yacht. Nowadays, Krystal has seemingly become a more private person. It doesn’t seem like Krystal would want to be on TV again.

2 Steve Bradley

Below Deck fans should remember Steve Bradley as he made many appearances on the show. In Below Deck season 3, he wanted a foam party and demanded the crew to figure it out and follow his commands, acting like a king. In Below Deck season 6, Steve made more outrageous requests. Apart from being a wild guest, Steve was entitled and acted inappropriately at times . No Below Deck captain would want to host him again as he didn't come off as very likable.

1 Dr. Francis Martinis

Dr. Francis Martinis from Below Deck Med and Below Deck Sailing Yacht has a zero chance of returning. While the former charter guest didn’t have too many issues on the show, his personal life issues will stop him from appearing on Bravo again. According to TMZ , Dr. Francis and his wife, Jessica, were arrested for filling out fake prescriptions in December 2023 . The couple used the names of Below Deck stars and got caught red-handed. The Below Deck franchise would never want to welcome felons, especially when their mugshots are all over the internet.

Below Deck airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
