Fast forward to 2022/2023 and I had the same experience as Jenna and a few others. Paid full list price, wrote a check (no financing) - had a punch list from the survey to attend to prior to taking possession of the boat. FOUR and 1/2 months later the boat was ready for me to take - after weeks of asking. During negotiations I was promised a full walk through and sea trial with a technician to go over all the systems. They promised to leave me with a full tank of gas. The Merry Fisher is made overseas with some nuanced things to understand about the AC system for starters. They were too busy to schedule the walk through of the punch list items attended to, the systems or sea trial with a technician. They handed the boat off with less than 1/2 tank - almost empty. When I called to ask for the correct power cord (the one left on the boat was not the correct one), I was given another run around for about a week. When I asked to schedule some time with a tech to go over a few things, I was told they were booked about about 2 months. To this day I have had to figure out the systems myself. I never received the in depth walk through to ensure I completely understood all the systems and functions of my boat. The interactions I had with the salesperson were polite and courteous. He was new and needed a great deal of support from the GM - who was rude, evasive, condescending at EVERY turn. Neither understood the functionality of the boat and some of the more mechanical or technical aspects. I cannot speak to the techs or mechanics because I never actually got to spend any time with one. I wish I had read these reviews. I wish Rob or John still worked there - the source of most of the good reviews. I wish I'd purchased my first boat somewhere else.

We wholeheartedly recommend Ken Stanley, and the entire team, at Sundance Yacht Sales. And here is why... In the fall and winter of 2022-23, we spent several months looking for a Classic Trawler in the Pacific Northwest. One of the main challenges, besides finding anything available, was that we live in Arizona and most boat brokerages were not interested in taking the extra steps necessary once they found out that we could not "pop in" to see their listing. After spending many, many thousands of dollars flying to Seattle, Portland, and Everett, we had become jaded because the brokers for those boats were not forthright in providing in the necessary information about the condition of the boat they were selling. That all changed after we were alerted by Yachtworld of a brand new listing for a trawler at Sundance Yacht Sale's Seattle location. We called immediately and were connected to Ken Stanley, their Sales Manager, in the Portland location. From the moment we spoke with Ken, we knew we were in good hands. We plied him with questions asking for more information. We wanted to know if we could see the most recent survey and any maintenance documents to show the trawler had been owned by someone who took good care of it. The previous month we talked with a broker with a different boat brokerage and asked for the same information. That other broker told us we had to fly to Portland and be physically on the boat before we could see anything. With Ken, though, in less than 30 minutes he emailed all the information we could possibly need to make an informed decision. We put in an offer (which was accepted the same day) and made arrangements to fly to Seattle the following week for a marine survey and the sea trial. We were delighted when Ken said he would also travel from Portland to Seattle to meet us. And he put us in touch with the folks in the Seattle office. Everything went smoothly. We returned home to wait for the survey results and anytime we had a question Ken was only a phone call, text message or email away - he always responded immediately. He even helped us find an insurance broker and someone to do the registration paperwork! We closed really quickly and are in love with our new (to us) Classic Trawler.

I bought a Jeanneau NC895 from Sundance, and sold it through them a few years later when I decided to upgrade. My broker in both cases was John Baker. Throughout, John and the rest of the team were straightforward, honest and low pressure. Contrary to some other boat brokers I've interacted with, John and Sundance overall, operate in an understated but efficient manner. John diligently facilitated my purchase and sale of the boat, and went above the call of duty by teaching me close-quarter navigation and anchoring after I had bought it. Sundance has been helpful in connecting me with a good honest mechanic, and in allowing occasional use of their dock when space is available. Their only shortcoming turned out to be due to a limitation in Jeanneau's corporate customer service.

Jon and the team were very helpful from start to finish with our purchase of our new Cutwater 30S. Great advice on models and features, a good price, and then good communications throughout the manufacturing process. While COVID added complexity, we are very happy with our purchase and enjoying boating in Seattle.

Greg and his staff are very helpful and friendly and I love the Jeanneau 1095 , which we hope to be purchasing one shortly . The only negative thing would be boat manufacturers need to increase the amount of boats being made to meet demand , regardless of Covid situation or expand the type of boat models they make in the US so the waiting period isn't so long overseas models .

These guys took my money and left me with no boat. I paid in full for the boat in July and I have yet to take possession of it. I was promised it would take 'about a week' to get some minor changes fixed yet my new boat is still undelivered. I understand most boat buyers get a final walk-through and 'delivery'- but I got neither. I struggle with how the boat works and the only one time I drove it alone I spent my time pumping out the already full sewage tank. And this boat was BRAND NEW. Sundance Yachts knows they have not treated me well and in our last interaction I asked for them to 'swap out' my NC11 for any other 2017 NC11: they agreed but then back-peddled and tried to 'sell' it to me for more money. It should be noted that I didn't even negotiate my original boat purchase-- I paid the 'boat show' sticker price and asked them to add in a tender/davit and a few outlets. At this stage if I am going to pay more for an operable boat I will move to a SeaRay. I love the NC11 but I cant imagine having to deal with these guys any longer. I would rather have a boat I like a little less and service I can trust.

The worst business I have ever done business with! As soon as you buy the boat you will receive zero customer service and you won't be able to ever get anything fixed because the line up at angry customers is too long!!

We are in the market for a boat, and looking to purchase one immediately. We walked into the Seattle Sundance boat show booth intent at looking at the Merrie Fischer. A seemingly popular boat as a few gentleman were in discussion with dealers. We looked over the boat as it is THE BOAT SHOW, then stepped off to look at the power supply/engines. We tried to re board to get more information but we were stopped by a security guard who said the boat is CLOSED so they could close a deal! I get that you want to do business but to tell us to scram! Seems like poor business practice to me. It's the BOAT SHOW, show the boat if a person is interested that's great you don't need to CLOSE the boat each time someone MIGHT buy one! Never buying a boat from the arrogant salesmen at Sundance, I suggest you don't either!

Reed, At the Seattle Boat Show, vendors are allocated a certain amount of space on the showroom floor. We try to fit in as many boats as possible for folks to tour. As such, this leaves us with minimal office-like space, which is why we use our boats to do all of our closing paperwork. We do not close off our boats to folks unless there is a confirmed deposit and paperwork has been prepared to sign. We do this as a courtesy to the new boat owner. Afterward, we re-open those boats for folks to tour again. We do hope you were able to find a suitable vessel. We apologize for any inconvenience or miscommunication. All the best.
