Gold Coast Charter Boat BACCHUS is a luxury 62 foot thoroughbred amongst other charter boats.  It is available for private cruise on the Gold Coast Broadwater – one of the world’s most magnificent waterways.  Bacchus can accommodate 47 day passengers.  “Bacchus” – named after the Roman God of Wine – has been operating a wide range of private Boat Charters on the Gold Coast for over a decade.

She is designed, equipped and professionally operated to the highest standard. The salon and outer decks, including the back BBQ Beer Garden and the bow Sky Lounge, are multipurpose and suitable for parties, functions, celebrations, memorial ash scatterings – even weddings.  The ‘flybridge’ provides spectacular views behind the capable hands of our experienced skipper.

It has a full kitchen with oven and microwave to enable an enjoyable meal onboard. Special facilities include an expert sound system, BBQ, an ice machine, a new floating mat and a water trampoline (at extra cost).

The vast bow area has recently been refitted into a sky lounge with seats – great for outside cruising in the Gold Coast sun or to relax in at night. We’ve christened it the “Sky Lounge’ for a reason. You can take in 360-degree views of the Gold Coast, from Sea World, Southport, the high-rises in Surfers Paradise all the way to Moreton Island.

The unique and brand new Sky Lounge has padded seating for 8 people plus plenty of deck space to stand or sit on the raised bow tops. A handy table has been added so you can enjoy a casual lunch ‘al fresco’ under the Queensland sun. • Seating for 8 • Padded settees • Table with cup holders • Sun umbrella may be added • Speaker system surround-sound

The Back Deck leads to everything else on the MV Bacchus.  From here you can walk around to the bow Sky Lounge, go downstairs to the BBQ Beer Garden, climb up and join the Skipper on the Flybridge or pop inside to the Salon for some quiet time.

The Back Deck has the following facilities

• Double Bar fridge
• Wine, champagne and water glasses in boat-safe acrylic
• Seating for 12
• Large table for casual dining or grazing plates
• Completely wind and water-proof should it rain

From the back deck, descend the stairs to the new BBQ Beer Garden.

The newly added Beer Garden has BBQ facilities for casual entertaining. • 2 x marine BBQ’s • Huge 300L freezer for ice and drinks • Smoking permitted

The BBQs are free for use if you inform us in advance so we can prepare them for you. You can bring your own steaks and snags and fire up the BBQs. We can provide a BBQ Chef to save the host slaving over a hot stove for $200.

We can provide Gourmet BBQ food for you – including 2 types of sausages, 2 meat kebabs, 3 gourmet salads and a selection of breads and condiments at $29 per head.

• Proteins – 2 types of sausages plus 2 types of kebabs (one chicken and one beef or lamb) All meats are GF • 3 Gourmet Salads – selection is based on availability • Variety of Bread and bread rolls • GF available on request • Range of condiments such as Tomato and BBQ sauces, Mustards, Buffalo and Sweet Chilli sauce etc

Prawn Frenzy – Fresh from the local waters and straight off the trawler to your plate! For $40 a kilo, we buy in 3-kilo lots. Don’t forget the seafood sauce and the tartare! Eat them fresh or make a prawn salad. You can always throw a few on the barbie as well.

From the back deck, you can also walk up the stairs to the flybridge.

On the flybridge, relax and take in the Skyline while you chat to our Skipper. There is plenty of seating for up to 10 passengers. • Drinks table • Padded seating for 10 • Easy-access stairs • Views for miles

From the back deck, you can also pop into the well-appointed salon

The salon is a classy but friendly zone where you may chill on the leather lounge and share drinks and grazing plates with friends.

The luxurious salon is suitable for – cocktails and canapes for 40 persons – buffet dining for 20 persons – fine dining for 14 persons.

Bacchus has 2 double beds and a few single beds. Day cruise guests are also welcomed to use them.

What better way is there to marry the love of your life than aboard our luxurious MV Bacchus with your closest family and friends? Say “I do” on the beautiful Gold Coast Broadwater in a ceremony and relish in your reception totally tailored to your wishes. Book in advance to secure your special date. We can also cater for engagement parties and anniversary celebrations.

Birthdays, Family, Bucks & Hens Parties

MV Bacchus is the perfect yacht for your fun birthday, family, bucks or hens parties.  You can also opt to have a BBQ or stop by Tipplers Island for a swim if your cruise is at least 5 hours long.  The huge foredeck now made into a new sun lounge is very enjoyable for such events.

If your cruise is at least 6 hours long, the special trampoline can be deployed at extra cost ($50 per hour).  The swimming mat and inflatables are free for use.

Boat Memorial / Ash-Scattering Service

Memorialise and remember a passed loved one, family member or friend through a boat memorial on Bacchus. Our new ‘Sky Lounge’ on the bow now allows elderly attendees to sit in comfort and safety as they participate in your ceremonies.  Our  one-hour cruise price of $750  is only available for Memorials or Ash.  For a price comparable to land-based venues, you can get so much more than an event hall. Leave your dearly departed in a place they loved – on the Gold Coast Broadwater. If you choose a slightly longer memorial cruise, you may also hold a wake on board.

• Your loved one may have a passion for marine expeditions, so a chartered boat can help you recall them by their favourite activities. Remember them with your group by visiting the same aquatic atmosphere in which they had found solace and peace.
• The Bacchus is a safe atmosphere for people to feel comfortable and open up about their memories. You can even use our media connections to create a photo slideshow or show videos.

Equipment:  Flippers, snorkels, floaties and float mats free for use.  Trampoline is at extra cost.

Red wine or full bottles of spirits with seperate mixers are not permitted but any beers, wines or pre-mixes in cans or bottles like Canadian Club or Vodka Cruiser are fine.  We provide the ice and have several fridges, a large freezer and ice buckets as required.

Food:- choices  (separate to the boat price) –

• BYO your own food, BBQ free to use on the boat, BYO everything you need ( eg, plastic plates, etc) or we can supply plates, glasses and cutlery. Cook yourself or for $200 we can provide a deckhand to do it for you.
• Organize any caterer of your own choice.

• We can do the following catering for you:

(a)   Cheese Platter –  to serve 10-12 people  $150 

Enjoy a selection of gourmet cheeses, dips, fruits, nuts and crackers.

(b)   Hot Nibbles Platter  – to serve 10-12 people  $150

A variety of small, hot pastries such as party pies and sausage rolls, meatballs spinach/cheese filled pastry bites, meatballs etc.  Dipping sauces provided. Vegan/vegetarian options available on request.

(c) Choice of luscious dessert cakes available for $55 each. Serves 8-10

(d)   Loaded Wedges Platter  – to serve 10-12 people  $50

A heaping plate of piping hot potato wedges loaded with cheese, sweet chilli sauce, sour cream and garnished with herbs.

• From 26 to 35 guests: $800 per hour
• From 36 to 47 guests: $850 per hour

A yacht bachelorette party is a fantastic way to celebrate a close friend’s upcoming wedding! Gold Coast Luxury Boat Charters provides you with a vast array of  yacht cruise options  to choose from.  Party in style with your girlfriends and a shirtless waiter or two for added harmless fun! 

Make your ‘Hens Party’

An ‘affair to remember’.

 Plan ahead so your boat adventure hens night is totally memorable? Here are a few helpful suggestions:

• Arrange for transportation : When you are enjoying a night out on the water, the last thing you want to think about is driving back home. To remove the stress of having to go home at the end of a fun-filled night, you can arrange for a car to pick you and your guests up after your cruise. 
• Entertainment – feel free to bring a shirtless or bottomless waiter!  What happens on the Broadwater STAYS on the Broadwater!
• BYO : You have the option to bring your alcohol with you onto the boat.  Pre-mixed spirits in cans and bottles or wine and champagne.
• Red wine is not permitted onboard as it stains the teak decking – Rose is fine.
• Photo Opportunities : Remember to bring a camera; the views are outstanding. A beautifully themed hens party with an ocean backdrop makes the perfect selfie. Get the girls together, dressed to the nines or ready for a splash and take some much needed #girlgang selfies!

We never advise waiting until the last minute to book a bachelorette yacht party. If you are in charge of planning, we recommend that you work out the timing of the event sooner rather than later and call us as quickly as possible to ensure that the date that you need is available. 

Food Options

Does the bride prefer canapes or a casual BBQ? The MV Bacchus does not provide catering but you may BYO and cook onboard or simply hire a caterer to provide a range of hot and cold nibbles. See our catering page for ideas and local options on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane.

BYO alcohol saves the group a fortune – but only wine, champagne and pre-mixed spirits in bottles or cans are allowed.  We do not permit straight bottles of alcohol or pre-mixed jugs of cocktails prepared at home.  We wouldn’t want your party to get too drunk and fall off the Bacchus!

By adhering to these simple recommendations, you are sure to through the bride a party that she will never forget.

Package 1 – Girls Day Out

Departing at 12pm, our captain takes your crew out Island Hopping for a day of Watersports, BBQ buffet, Cold drinks and fun in the sun. Think Banana boats, cold beers, SUP’s and multiple bars.

This package is perfect for a Girls day in the Sun, with up to 130 passengers and a run time of 4 hours this is definitely one the girls will remember.

Package 2 – Evening Cocktails & Canapés

Departing at 5pm, this Sunset Cruise sets the mood for a night of world class luxury and celebration aboard the Gold Coasts premier Superyacht. Touring the northern Islands of the Coast’s broadwater and cruising back to the Sun Setting over Surfers Paradise, this is the ideal venue to create special memories.

With a selection of platters, Canapés, Cocktails and Champagne on the menu – come aboard with up to 130 guests and be entertained on a 3-hour Luxury Cruise sure to stand out as unforgettable.

Our newly renovated Mermaid Spirit can host up to 100 guests for day charters and can sleep 22 guests for overnight charters. A tri-deck catamaran, Mermaid Spirit boasts multiple entertainment decks and spaces and comes equipped with jet skis, kayaks, scuba diving gear, stinger proof pool and paddle boards for the more adventurous of guests. Our slightly larger vessel, Sun Goddess, can host up to 135 guests for day charters. We have a variety of route options depending on the requirements of your event. Where do your boats depart from?

Our boats are berthed at Marina Mirage. Please see the ‘contact us ‘ page on our website  for further details and a map. Marina Mirage is about 10 mins from Surfers and 15 mins from Broadbeach.

Where can I park?

There is plentiful free parking at Marina Mirage/Mariners Cove which you are permitted to use.  Please check signage at time of parking and if parking overnight consider street parking to avoid towing.

What about other transport options?

There are lots of ways to get to the boat! The most popular (and cost effective/convenient) is often via Maxi Taxis.

Yes if you would like to bring your own food and drinks on board that is completely fine.

(BYO food and drinks may be affected by Government restrictions due to Covid, please check at the time of your charter what the current restrictions are)

I am short on time can you please help me out with catering/drinks?

Yes, we also offer catering and drinks service for your convenience. Please request our full catering list as advance bookings are required. We offer a range of catering options from grazing boards, to canapes and private chefs.

(Catering and drinks service options may be affected by Government restrictions due to Covid, please check at the time of your charter what the current restrictions are)

Do you have Eskies on board?

Yes we have Fridges & Eskies and we also provide ice. 

Where can we go on our charter?

We mainly operate in the calm, protected waters of the Gold Coast Broadwater. Where to go very much depends on what you would like to do and how long your boat charter is for so please feel free to discuss this with our team. In a 3 hour charter during the day our guests usually love a swim stop at Wavebreak Island where you can enjoy the range of island activities on board. Your skipper is knowledgeable in the local area and will make recommendations based on the conditions on the day.  If you don’t wish to swim in a 3 hour charter you instead opt to sail further north along the inside of South Stradbroke Island and see the millionaires mansions at Sovereign Islands.

In the evening we will generally sail north to watch the sunset and return to the southern part of the Broadwater to enjoy the city lights after dark which are just beautiful.

Will I get seasick?

We mainly operate in the calm, protected waters of the Gold Coast Broadwater. If we go offshore (into the open ocean) there is a possibility of large waves. 

Are your charters suitable for guests with limited mobility?

We have welcomed several guests on board with limited mobility. However we do realise that each individual is different in terms of ability and what they are comfortable with. Please take a look at the 360 tours on the ‘ Our Boats ‘ page for an ideal of getting around the boats and do bear in mind a big step up (or carry) is required to board the boats at the marina. Our friendly team will be happy to discuss further to ensure you and your guests are comfortable prior to making a booking.
