The boat has eight staterooms, able to accommodate 16 guests, with crew accommodations for 24. The profile has a faintly military profile, with a huge aft area. Despite the look, Wanderlust is actually one of the most entertainment-focused yachts on the water, with an abundant toy chest and many interior features.

Espen Øino, who also designed Wanderlust ’s predecessor Bold , created the yacht’s key design feature, a 4,300-sq. ft. hangar that becomes all things to all people. The aft bulwarks fold down to create a large landing area that can be used as a helipad, able to carry helicopters ranging from an EC145 to AW109.

On warm evenings, the hangar converts into one of three outdoor cinemas—the other two are located on the sun deck and bridge deck—or can be fitted with sound, media and light systems for party mode. The area is also large enough to store the yacht’s three tenders, including the 52-foot Windy SR52 that hits 46 knots. Besides the Sea-Doos, sailing dinghies, Fliteboards and transparent kayaks, the crew sometimes set up a trapeze with the on-deck crane for guests to swing from. “The large aft deck also doubles as a game platform where we play basketball, table tennis and use as a driving range with fish food golf balls,” says Edge.

The yacht’s outdoor setup includes exterior lounging areas, either covered with awnings or open to the sun, while al fresco dining is reserved for the sundeck aft with a table that faces out of the wind. There’s also a glass-fronted Jacuzzi on this level. More outdoor dining is on the upper deck, with a bar and barbecue.

“The owners love their outdoor spaces on board, and we have plenty of intimate spaces for guests to escape to,” says Edge. “Equally, we’re well-equipped for shoreside beach set ups and watersports days.”

Most often, the owners spend their time in the dedicated “loft,” which is the hallmark of the Silverloft series. The winter garden area is wrapped in a band of floor-to-ceiling privacy glass that allows guests to see out, but prevents onlookers from seeing in. Sliding glass doors all but disappear to reveal a shaded outdoor terrace. The jewel in the crown is the interactive LED ceiling that displays videos and images. “We upload a blue sky with clouds by day or stars at night. It’s a truly incredible space to be in,” says Edge.

Designed and fitted in-house by the Australian shipyard, the neutral interior is charter friendly with light oak flooring and marble that runs throughout the guest bathrooms, hallways and stairs.

“The owners purchased the vessel relatively late in the build process, so major design changes were not something we were looking at,” says Edge. “But the materials are all very neutral to suit most tastes.”

Francoise Botha

Hailing from Limpopo in South Africa, Francois comes from a small farming town in the Afrikaans area of the country. He grew up close to the nature and the breathtaking wildlife of the area, and has carried his love of the outdoors throughout his life. Francois began his maritime career working as a commercial diver, flown out to the BVI to assist in the mass clean up and yacht salvage in the wake of Hurricanes Irma and Maria. As a qualified class 2 Commercial Bell Diver he is more than comfortable below sea level, and has recently transferred his skills to qualify as a Dive Master, ensuring all guests are in more than safe and experienced hands. One of his proudest achievements is his involvement with a non-profit charity in the BVI creating artificial reefs and interactive dive sites including the sunken wreck of the ‘Willy T’ and ’Sharkplano’, he has unwaivered local knowledge of the sites and will ensure to show you the very best spots. Being an incredibly calm and collected character, Francois will always be at your service with a smile and will make sure his guests feel well attended to and safe, whilst giving them their own tailored trip of a lifetime.

Katie Harrison

Chef/ First Mate Katie Katie’s love for yachting started in her early teens where she spent family holidays sailing the Ionian in Greece Her sailing career began where she worked as a hostess in Lefkada, then moving across to seek new challenges in the windy Saronic Gulf and Cyclades. From there she moved to the British Virgin Islands, during her downtime between seasons she studied at Culinary school in Devon and on the Isle of Wight, developing and refining her love for cookery. Katie began cheffing professionally in 2016 in the Caribbean where she found a love for the culture and flavours of the area. She has been working in the Caribbean ever since, spending her downtime diving, kiteboarding and exploring all of natures little secrets that the BVI has to offer. She is also a qualified Day Skipper and Rescue Diver so you’ll be sure to be in safe and competent hands across all elements of the yacht. WANDERLUST is a custom yacht launched in 2022 by SilverYachts, in Australia.

SILVERYACHTS is a builder of custom, high performance & efficient aluminium vessels. We work hand in hand with the internationally renowned naval architect and designer, Espen Øino, and offer our clients complete boat building services from the design sketches to complete construction. We take a very straightforward approach to buildings boats. Traditional values of craftmanship. Proven technologies. The finest equipment and fittings.

WANDERLUST measures 85.3 metres in length, with a max draft of 3.4 feet and a beam of 11 feet. She has a gross tonnage of 1,561 tonnes.

For over twenty-five years Espen Oeino International has been hard at work designing custom motor yachts for an international clientele from Japan in the East to Seattle in the West.

Her interior design is by Vain Interiors.

WANDERLUST also features naval architecture by Espen Oeino.

First look inside the 85m explorer yacht WANDERLUST

Since her delivery in October, the 85m (280ft) yacht WANDERLUST has been welcomed onto the charter market with great delight. The first photos inside the vessel reveal her stunningly elegant interiors and exquisite design, proving she is the perfect platform for any luxury superyacht charter vacation .

Delivered by Australian shipyard SilverYachts , superyacht WANDERLUST is a vessel that certainly lives up to its name. Showcasing her bright, clean and modern interiors for the very first time, it is clear to see that this motor yacht continues to showcase a strong desire to travel and explore the world in optimum luxury and style.

Part of the all-aluminum SilverLoft series , the distinctive superyacht WANDERLUST is the second iteration of the militant and utilitarian series, following on from her renowned and iconic sistership, the 85m (279ft) explorer yacht BOLD . Boasting the same archetypal profile with tinted bespoke glazing above a variety of geometric panels, the exteriors of the series were penned by Espen Øino whilst the interior styling has been completed by Vain Interiors.

Although superyacht WANDERLUST has been designed as a sports activity vessel (SAV), the new images of the luxury charter yacht reveal beautiful, bright and fresh interior spaces that instantly create a zen-like atmosphere onboard. From her 11-meter beam, high-ceiling lounge area to her opulent and tranquil winter garden, the yacht is home to an abundance of sumptuous and spacious areas where guests can kick back, relax and socialize.

The winter garden loft area sits on the upper deck and has multiple dining options for guests to enjoy, all whilst making the most of the floor-to-ceiling glass panels which promise outstanding views of your chosen cruising ground. The panels can slide away to create a beautiful open-air shaded terrace or can be left closed, adapting to suit all weather conditions. 

Elsewhere, the yacht boasts a delightful sundeck with a glass-fronted Jacuzzi, perfect for those wanting to relax and rejuvenate in style. Further opportunities to dine alfresco occur on the bridge deck where guests will find a luxurious dining area, barbeque and sun lounge.

Another signature of the yacht’s design is the 400 square meter aft deck which allows storage for tenders of up to 15 meters. This area can also double up as a helipad and when guests want to use this space as another living area, her sides also fold down to create outstanding panoramic views and even more versatile space for games, entertainment and relaxation onboard. 

Further onboard highlights include a spectacular outdoor cinema, state-of-the-art sound, media and light systems for disco nights and of course, a wide range of water sports toys, alongside tenders, the yacht can store eFoils, seabobs, kayaks, waterskis and inflatables.

Captain Francois Botha

Hailing from Limpopo in South Africa, Francois comes from a small farming town in the Afrikaans area of the country. He grew up close to the nature and the breathtaking wildlife of the area, and has carried his love of the outdoors throughout his life. Francois began his maritime career working as a commercial diver, flown out to the BVI to assist in the mass clean up and yacht salvage in the wake of Hurricanes Irma and Maria. As a qualified class 2 Commercial Bell Diver he is more than comfortable below sea level, and has recently transferred his skills to qualify as a Dive Master, ensuring all guests are in more than safe and experienced hands. One of his proudest achievements is his involvement with a non-profit charity in the BVI creating artificial reefs and interactive dive sites including the sunken wreck of the ‘Willy T’ and ’Sharkplano’, he has unwaivered local knowledge of the sites and will ensure to show you the very best spots. Being an incredibly calm and collected character, Francois will always be at your service with a smile and will make sure his guests feel well attended to and safe, whilst giving them their own tailored trip of a lifetime.

Chef/ First Mate Katie Harrison

Katie’s love for yachting started in her early teens where she spent family holidays sailing the Ionian in Greece Her sailing career began where she worked as a hostess in Lefkada, then moving across to seek new challenges in the windy Saronic Gulf and Cyclades. From there she moved to the British Virgin Islands, during her downtime between seasons she studied at Culinary school in Devon and on the Isle of Wight, developing and refining her love for cookery. Katie began cheffing professionally in 2016 in the Caribbean where she found a love for the culture and flavours of the area. She has been working in the Caribbean ever since, spending her downtime diving, kiteboarding and exploring all of natures little secrets that the BVI has to offer.

She is also a qualified Day Skipper and Rescue Diver so you’ll be sure to be in safe and competent hands across all elements of the yacht. Whatever your requests or requirements Katie is more than happy to tailor her menu for her guests every need, using only the freshest and most vibrant local ingredients Katie’s dishes will guarantee to wow!

Enjoy a delicious breakfast served in the aft Cockpit, all chef Katie’s breakfasts include a fresh fruit platter and daily fresh baked goods

Eggs Benedict – Toasted English muffin, Canadian bacon  

Breakfast Tacos – wheat tortilla, chorizo potatoes and cheddar scrambled egg

Cilibir (Turkish eggs) – poached eggs, Aleppo butter, yoghurt spread served with homemade pitta  

Coconut French Toast – Coconut encrusted brioche, caramalized banana and nuts, berry coulis and crème Anglaise

Bagel Platter – Toasted bagels, cream cheese, smoked salmon, scrambled egg and bacon

Croque Madam – Bechamel, cheddar and ham with toasted sourdough, served with a sunny side up egg

Huevos Rancheros – Pico de gallo, refried beans, salsa, feta on a fresh wheat tortilla  

After a morning of sunning, sailing and snorkeling, sit back, relax and enjoy a fresh and delicious lunch onboard

Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad –    sourdough croutons, local greens and homemade dressing

Blackened local snapper with Cobb Salad – Grilled snapper with homemade blackening spice served alongside classic Cobb salad with local avocado, bacon and blue cheese

Pasta a la Norma, Italian salad and focaccia – Parpadelle with eggplant, tomato sauce and fresh basil, served with an Italian salad with herb dressing    and freshly baked focaccia  

Boerewors Rolls – Authentic South African fare of locally made beef sausage, and homemade rolls, served with chakalaka Salad and chutneys  

Teriyaki Salmon, garlic pak choi and asian noodle salad – homemade teriyaki, fresh noodle salad with sweet dressing  

Caribbean Roti with Cantaloupe Salad – traditional West Indian roti with vegetables and boneless chicken thighs, served with mango chutney, local hot sauce and cantaloupe salad with cucumber, fresh herbs, cardamon dressing and sumac    

Shrimp Tacos – spicy shrimp tacos with mango, avocado crema, Mexican rice, homemade guacomole and salsa

Seared sesame Saku tuna with miso – coconut cauliflower purée, fresh mango salsa, coconut rice and wonton crisp

Star anise barbecue Beef Short Rib – pomme purée, charred spring onion and sweet shredded sprouts with shallot

Proscuitto wrapped Wahoo – served on a bed of fennel and saffron risotto with a lemon caper sauce

Pistachio crusted Mahi Mahi – Local Mahi, sautéed peppers, jeweled pearled couscous with passion fruit beurre blanc

Scallop and Shrimp Linguinie – chilli, local herb, lemon and white wine light cream sauce  

Jerk Pork Tenderloin – authentic Jamaican jerk, served with grilled pineapple, rice and peas, roast vegetables and guava glaze

Surf and Turf – Sous vide fillet steak with peri peri grilled Shrimp, creamy polenta with Parmesan and rosemary, black garlic compound butter, asparagus bouquets and dressed baby arugula  

Finish with a bang!    We only count memories on Wanderlust, never calories  

Mini pavlova – baked meringue nests with fresh vanilla cream, berry coulis and fresh fruit

Passion fruit and raspberry posset – served with pistachio biscuit
