GTA Online: How To Find All The Shipwrecks

GTA Online shipwrecks can be hard to find due to their ever-changing locations, but the rewards for tracking them down make it well worth the effort.

In Grand Theft Auto Online , making money and gaining RP is everything. For players wanting to know how to make money fast in GTA Online , the addition of shipwrecks may almost seem too good to be true. In August of 2021, Rockstar added shipwrecks as a reoccurring collectible in GTA Online and finding one can be extremely profitable. This is because treasure chests can be found near them, which will reward the player with $20,000 and 2,000 RP. Collecting at least seven will also unlock the Frontier pirate outfit.

The catch? The location of the shipwreck changes every 24 hours, appearing in one of thirty possible locations across the game's map, which, as GTA Online players will already know, is one of the largest video game maps around . Knowing exactly where to look should make the process of searching for shipwrecks much easier for players.

Every Shipwreck Location in Grand Theft Auto Online

As mentioned above, shipwrecks can appear in one of thirty locations across the map on the coastline or bordering a body of water. These locations will be listed below.

Elysian Island

The first possible location to find a shipwreck is on Elysian Island, near the Maze Bank Arena, right next to the Autopia Parkway.

Los Santos International Airport

There are two places where shipwrecks can appear at Los Santos International Airport . The first is at the northeastern corner, right around Devin Weston's hangar.

The second can be found over at the southwestern corner.

Vespucci Beach

At Vespucci beach , the shipwreck can be found at the east end. It can be seen next to the Puerto Del Sol Marina.

Del Pierro Pier

The next possible location for a shipwreck is located directly under Del Pierro Pier.

Del Pierro Beach

At Del Pierro Beach, players should look around the Pipeline Inn, close to the western end of the beach to find another potential shipwreck location.

There are two shipwreck locations in Chumash. The first is north of Tahir Javan's house. To find it, players should look around the beachfront just off of Ineseno Road.

The second is at the north end of Barbareno Road, just north of the Chumash Historic Family Pier.

Lago Zancudo

There are also two possible places for players to look in Lago Zancudo. At the south shore of the Zancudo River, the shipwreck should be parallel to the junction connecting Routes 1 and 68.

The next location is southeast of Fort Zancudo right next to a jetty.

Zancudo River

North of the Zancudo River, the next potential shipwreck location is downstream from Ortega's trailer, southwest of the Alamo Sea.

North Chumash

At the mouth of Cassidy Creek, players should look along the southern shore. There should be a large rock on the beach, which is where the shipwreck will be.

Paleto Cove

The shipwreck in Paleto Cove can be found north of the Sonar Collections Dock over on the narrow strip of land.

There are three shipwreck locations in Paleto Bay. Towards the south of Paleto Bay State Beach, the first shipwreck location is on the northern side of the peninsula.

The second is at North Point on the eastern shore, facing Procopio Beach. It's right next to Paleto Forest, so trees may be hiding the shipwreck.

The third potential GTA 5 shipwreck location is between Paleto Bay and Procopio Beach. Near North Point, players should find a broken wooden fence near the shipwreck location.

Procopio Beach

This shipwreck location is almost directly north of a small loop road. The location can be found on a small beach near the Procopio Bus Stop.

Pacific Ocean

Along the coastline of Mount Gordo, a shipwreck can be found near the pacific ocean, just east of Procopio Beach.

Another location can be found in this area, just north of El Gordo Lighthouse. A small patch of sand sits across from a small island, where the shipwreck will appear. These locations aren't near any roads, so a helicopter or boat may be necessary to reach them.

Cape Catfish

There are two shipwreck locations at Cape Catfish . The first is just south of the El Gordo Lighthouse in a small area where the water flows slightly inland, just off of El Gordo Drive.

The second area is south of the jetty below the cliff.

San Chianski Mountain Range

Three GTA 5 shipwreck locations can be found in the San Chianski Mountain Range, on the eastern coast of San Andreas. The first is located southeast of the Humane Labs and Research.

The second is also near the Humane Labs and Research, located south of the labs and north of Coveted Cove.

The third can be found north of the Palmer-Taylor Power Station.

Tataviam Mountains

There are two places to look for shipwrecks in the Tataviam Mountains . The first is south of the Palmer-Taylor Power Station.

The second area to search is east of the Tataviam Truckstop.

Palomino Highlands

At Palomino Highlands, there are three possible locations for GTA Online shipwrecks to be hiding. The first is southeast of the NOOSE headquarters. There, players will find a large rock with a hole underneath. The shipwreck will be on the south side of the hole.

The second is located on a small island just off the coast of Palomino Highlands, at the southeastern tip.

The third is at the east end of the beach, located just southeast of El Burro Boulevard.

Cypress Flats

Last but not least, the last potential GTA Online shipwreck location will be in Cypress Flats, just south of the Elysian Freeway Bridge.

GTA Online Yacht Missions And Payouts

GTA Online offers a wide variety of mission chains and quests, providing players with the opportunity to earn substantial rewards. Among these missions are the Yacht missions, which are part of the "A Superyacht Life series" and become available after purchasing a Yacht. 

To assist you in completing these missions and obtaining the associated rewards, we have provided a comprehensive breakdown below. We will outline the specifics of each Yacht mission, explain the payout structure, and reveal the rewards you can expect upon completion.

GTA Online - All Yacht Missions

As part of the Los Santos Summer Special update in Grand Theft Auto Online, players can engage in a series of six missions called " A Superyacht Life. " These missions are assigned by Brendan Darcy, the captain of the player's Galaxy Super Yacht, and can be played by a group of 1 to 4 players.

Below are the descriptions of all six of these Yacht missions in GTA Online:

Mission 1: Overboard

Captain Darcy alerts the player that the yacht's jetskis and important documents, which establish both the Captain and the player as permanent residents of international waters, have been stolen. The player is instructed to proceed to the Vespucci Canals, where the joyriders were last spotted. Eliminating the thieves in this area can be challenging, but it offers decent cover and strategic shooting positions.

The Captain reveals that the culprits are members of the Puerto Del Sol yacht club, prompting the player to seek revenge. The next objective is to head to the yacht club and sink the 10 boats docked there. Time is of the essence, as a boat may attempt to escape. Sink them all, and the mission will be completed.

Mission 2: Salvage

Brendan Darcy informs the player about a distress call from a sunken supply ship nearby. They are directed to a dredge barge to collect the sunken cargo around the wrecked Olifantus ship. 

After retrieving the cargo, the player returns to find the yacht invaded by the Kkangpae. They eliminate the hijackers and receive a call from Brendan, who reveals he and the bartender have been taken hostage. The player rescues them while fending off attackers and returns to the yacht.

Mission 3: All Hands

Brendan alerts the player about a problematic business deal at the Pacific Country Club. They must steal firefighting planes from LSIA to extinguish cars set on fire by club members. Guards at the airport trigger a 2-star wanted level until the Tula is acquired.

After refueling in the air and receiving a threatening text message, the player heads to the country club. They extinguish burning vehicles while fending off Kkangpae attacks. There's a 5-minute time limit for each task. Brendan mentions additional fires at the Pipeline Inn. Returning the Tula to the yacht concludes the mission. Failing restarts at the LSIA hangar without enemies.

Mission 4: Icebreaker

Brendan Darcy devises a revenge plan against the Kkangpae for kidnapping him. The player destroys air-conditioning units at the Fridgit Cold Storage warehouse and steals the prepared product. 

The player must deliver the goods while fending off Kkangpae attacks. The mission ends when the player reaches the buyer in an alley behind the Hedera Hotel in Del Perro.

Mission 5: Bon Voyage

The mission starts with a stormy setting as the yacht's systems fail. Enemies attack from different directions, including onboard, in Dinghies, and from Buzzards. Brendan reveals that the attackers are the Kkangpae, the gang that previously kidnapped him. 

The player defends the yacht through three waves of enemies. Brendan restores power and requests the player to eliminate remaining foes on foot and in boats. The mission ends after completing this task.

Mission 5: D-Day

Brendan informs the player about the boss of a money laundering outfit staying on a heavily defended yacht. He suggests using a Kraken submersible to sneak past their defenses. The sub is located near a barge, close to the rival yacht's defensive zone patrolled by Dinghies.

While operating the sub, the player must stay low to avoid detection and navigate through underwater mines. A detection meter shows the player's visibility to the yacht's defenses, while a depth meter indicates their underwater level. Staying at a safe depth of around 275-350ft is crucial. The surrounding area is patrolled by boats, so the player must remain submerged.

Approaching the yacht's vicinity, the player resurfaces and boards the ship, engaging multiple enemies onboard. After eliminating all enemies, the boss tries to escape in a helicopter. The player must give chase, with the helicopter being escorted by two others. Dinghies also join the pursuit. The escort helicopters have gunners armed with RPGs. The target helicopter's health is displayed on-screen. Once the helicopter is destroyed and the boss is killed, Brendan suggests collecting the bounty on the boss's head, concluding the mission.

GTA Online - Yacht Missions Payouts

Currently, we don't have an exact number for the payout of each of these missions, since they depend on other factors such as the rank you play at and the amount of time the mission takes. However, we can say that the payout will be around the $38,000 mark (adjusting for the 25% increase thanks to the recent update), as after they are all complete, players will earn the Captain's Outfit as a souvenir.

Vespucci Beach in Grand Theft Auto V is a location that many players know. I love visiting the beach for even a simple walk around with my character. The length of the beach is immense, and there is a vibrancy of life bustling around the sun-scorched sands that let the tide wash over them ever so gently.

It is in the fictional city of Los Santos , based on the real-world Los Angeles. Every player will make their way to the beach at one point or another. There are a lot of excellent times to be had on Vespucci Beach!

As someone who has also spent a lot of time at Vespucci Beach. This article will act as a Vespucci Beach guide to everything there is to experience at the beach.

Vespucci Beach is on the west side of Los Santos on the coastline. There is one shop that players will frequently visit found on the beach’s central pedestrian pathway connecting to the other road entrances. The shop is called Vespucci Movie Masks and Memorabilia. You will be able to obtain a lot of brilliant masks from the store.

A few of the game’s quests will also take you to Vespucci Beach, so there is always a reason that you will be making your way to the beach. Not only that, but the Del Perro Pier is further on the beach. This pier has a Ferris wheel, a roller coaster, and lots more. Based on the Santa Monica Pier found in Los Angeles.

Many will be familiar with the location of Vespucci Beach. This will be thanks to the inspiration of the beach being the real-life Venice Beach. Notably, Venice Beach can be found in Los Angeles and looks strikingly similar to many parts of Vespucci Beach.

If you’ve been on holiday to Los Angeles or perhaps even live there or close by. You will make connections from various parts of Los Santos to their real-life counterparts in the game.

The Del Perro Pier, as mentioned before, is based on the Santa Monica Pier, and you can actually go on the rollercoaster ride if you want to. Equally the same with the Ferris Wheel, which you can also choose to go on.

Fans of the GTA series will get familiar vibes from Vespucci Beach as they have actually encountered a similar beach before. I recall that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has the same beach with a different name. That name is Santa Maria Beach. It has a pier and general similarities to Vespucci Beach.

Key Features/Locations of Vespucci Beach

There are rocky areas near the far north of the beach, and this is near a luxury resort, so it is always great to walk along the entire length of the beach. Paths will also go under the Del Perro Pier. Of course, this means you will be able to explore the beach unrestricted. 

Near the south side of the beach, there is also a boathouse-like area that overlooks the beach. Not only that but this is conveniently located near some parking. Along with the other numerous features of the beach, there are even tennis court/volleyball areas found on Vespucci Beach.

Within GTA Online, a certain yacht defense activity will have players competing for essentially gaining control of a yacht from other players by capturing the area on the vehicle to win the objective of the activity.

It is likely you will be making your attack on the yacht from Vespucci Beach. When this happens, lots more vehicles will be on the beach. Including more jet skis on the beach and even helicopters that will await you.

• Vespucci Movie Masks: As aforementioned, the Vespucci Movie Masks store is an ideal shop to visit when having a relaxing time on the beach. If you are looking for any masks to spook some other players or continue to create a tailored look: this is an excellent place to visit.
• Muscle Sands Gym:  This specific business can be seen utilized a lot by the civilians of Los Santos. There is a quest that Franklin will complete named The Multi Target Assassination. This quest will have you visiting the gym in order to eliminate one of the targets found there. This business you will definitely be visiting at one point or another.
• Smoke on the Water: Found at Vespucci Beach, this is a business property that can be bought by Franklin for $204,000 to receive another form of income. The amount of cash you will tend to get per week is around $10,000, $9300 to be more exact.

In terms of what quests/missions feature Vespucci Beach, there are quite a few. The list of missions that have Vespucci Beach within them is as follows:

• Repossession  — GTA V story mission
• Daddy’s Little Girl  — GTA V story mission

• Exercising Demons — A Stranger and Freaks mission for Michael that is located near Vespucci Beach. You will be putting your running skills to the test with this mission!

Vespucci beach is found quite easily within the world. This is because it is on the west coast near the city. If you are in the center of the city and facing towards the hills to the north. You can make a left turn while driving and following the roads down to the ocean will have you reaching the beach in no time!

Drive from the city center to Vespucci Beach:

There are not really any specific residents tied directly to the area. Although, Floyd Herbert can be considered a resident of the area due to their close proximity to the beach. You will spend some time with this character in the story, so it is a notable point.

Vehicles on the beach are common, and the ones which you will find are:

• Seashark: These jet skis can be found on the shoreline near the Del Perro Pier in an easy-to-access location. There is a small outcrop platform that will allow you to hop onto the jet skis without any issue for your character.
• Blazer Lifeguard: The Blazer Lifeguard is a custom quad-bike vehicle that is tailored for the lifeguards of the area. If you want to drive along the beach in lifeguard style, this is a brilliant choice for a vehicle.
• Lifeguard: The Lifeguard is an SUV that is colored in yellow with custom Lifeguard decals. There are surfboards on the sides and it is also classed as an emergency vehicle within the game.
• Sandking XL: Up next is the Sandking XL and this can be found commonly close to the aforementioned Seasharks, it is a 4×4 off-road vehicle which will make the process of driving across the beach even easier for you.

FAQs — Frequently Asked Questions for Vespucci Beach

Answer: Unfortunately, it is not possible to play volleyball at this current moment within GTA V. However, with the continuing updates for GTA Online, there is always a chance that it might be included in the future for the game.

Answer: There is always a possibility for new quests/missions to make their way into the game, so there may be new missions or races implemented into the experience at some point, although it is unconfirmed. 

Answer: It is unlikely that GTA VI will have an appearance of Vespucci Beach again. If it is an entirely new setting, there may be another beach for players to explore.

Vespucci Beach will always be an area of the map that players will no doubt want to spend a lot of their time within. Due to its closeness to the city and the scenery located around the beach.

There is always a great visit to be had at the beach! I have personally been making journeys to Vespucci Beach most of the time I play through GTA V and GTA Online.

Generally, the beach will also get a lot of popularity because of the mask store that a lot of GTA Online players spend a lot of time browsing through, so there will be something exciting to find a lot of the times you are on the beach.

You may also simply want a nice walk around the beach in the fictional version of Los Angeles. Another great reason to visit Vespucci Beach.

Why were so many metro stations in Moscow renamed?

The Moscow metro system has 275 stations, and 28 of them have been renamed at some point or other—and several times in some cases. Most of these are the oldest stations, which opened in 1935.

The politics of place names

The first station to change its name was Ulitsa Kominterna (Comintern Street). The Comintern was an international communist organization that ceased to exist in 1943, and after the war Moscow authorities decided to call the street named after it something else. In 1946, the station was renamed Kalininskaya. Then for several days in 1990, the station was called Vozdvizhenka, before eventually settling on Aleksandrovsky Sad, which is what it is called today.

Until 1957, Kropotkinskaya station was called Dvorets Sovetov ( Palace of Soviets ). There were plans to build a monumental Stalinist high-rise on the site of the nearby Cathedral of Christ the Saviour , which had been demolished. However, the project never got off the ground, and after Stalin's death the station was named after Kropotkinskaya Street, which passes above it.

Of course, politics was the main reason for changing station names. Initially, the Moscow Metro itself was named after Lazar Kaganovich, Joseph Stalin’s right-hand man. Kaganovich supervised the construction of the first metro line and was in charge of drawing up a master plan for reconstructing Moscow as the "capital of the proletariat."

In 1955, under Nikita Khrushchev's rule and during the denunciation of Stalin's personality cult, the Moscow Metro was named in honor of Vladimir Lenin.

New Metro stations that have been opened since the collapse of the Soviet Union simply say "Moscow Metro," although the metro's affiliation with Vladimir Lenin has never officially been dropped.

Zyablikovo station. On the entrance, there are no more signs that the metro is named after Lenin.

Stations that bore the names of Stalin's associates were also renamed under Khrushchev. Additionally, some stations were named after a neighborhood or street and if these underwent name changes, the stations themselves had to be renamed as well.

Until 1961 the Moscow Metro had a Stalinskaya station that was adorned by a five-meter statue of the supreme leader. It is now called Semyonovskaya station.

The biggest wholesale renaming of stations took place in 1990, when Moscow’s government decided to get rid of Soviet names. Overnight, 11 metro stations named after revolutionaries were given new names. Shcherbakovskaya became Alekseyevskaya, Gorkovskaya became Tverskaya, Ploshchad Nogina became Kitay-Gorod and Kirovskaya turned into Chistye Prudy. This seriously confused passengers, to put it mildly, and some older Muscovites still call Lubyanka station Dzerzhinskaya for old times' sake.

At the same time, certain stations have held onto their Soviet names. Marksistskaya and Kropotkinskaya, for instance, although there were plans to rename them too at one point.

"I still sometimes mix up Teatralnaya and Tverskaya stations,” one Moscow resident recalls .

 “Both have been renamed and both start with a ‘T.’ Vykhino still grates on the ear and, when in 1991 on the last day of my final year at school, we went to Kitay-Gorod to go on the river cruise boats, my classmates couldn’t believe that a station with that name existed."

The city government submitted a station name change for public discussion for the first time in 2015. The station in question was Voykovskaya, whose name derives from the revolutionary figure Pyotr Voykov. In the end, city residents voted against the name change, evidently not out of any affection for Voykov personally, but mainly because that was the name they were used to.

What stations changed their name most frequently?

Some stations have changed names three times. Apart from the above-mentioned Aleksandrovsky Sad (Ulitsa Kominterna->Kalininskaya->Vozdvizhenka->Aleksandrovsky Sad), a similar fate befell Partizanskaya station in the east of Moscow. Opened in 1944, it initially bore the ridiculously long name Izmaylovsky PKiO im. Stalina (Izmaylovsky Park of Culture and Rest Named After Stalin). In 1947, the station was renamed and simplified for convenience to Izmaylovskaya. Then in 1963 it was renamed yet again—this time to Izmaylovsky Park, having "donated" its previous name to the next station on the line. And in 2005 it was rechristened Partizanskaya to mark the 60th anniversary of victory in World War II.

Another interesting story involves Alekseyevskaya metro station. This name was originally proposed for the station, which opened in 1958, since a village with this name had been located here. It was then decided to call the station Shcherbakovskaya in honor of Aleksandr Shcherbakov, a politician who had been an associate of Stalin. Nikita Khrushchev had strained relations with Shcherbakov, however, and when he got word of it literally a few days before the station opening the builders had to hastily change all the signs. It ended up with the concise and politically correct name of Mir (Peace).

The name Shcherbakovskaya was restored in 1966 after Khrushchev's fall from power. It then became Alekseyevskaya in 1990.

But the station that holds the record for the most name changes is Okhotny Ryad, which opened in 1935 on the site of a cluster of market shops. When the metro system was renamed in honor of Lenin in 1955, this station was renamed after Kaganovich by way of compensation. The name lasted just two years though because in 1957 Kaganovich fell out of favor with Khrushchev, and the previous name was returned. But in 1961 it was rechristened yet again, this time in honor of Prospekt Marksa, which had just been built nearby.

In 1990, two historical street names—Teatralny Proyezd and Mokhovaya Street—were revived to replace Prospekt Marksa, and the station once again became Okhotny Ryad.

In the mission All Hands On Deck! , Tommy must defend the boat from the attacking GIGN and DGSE agents. You can enter the Yacht using a helicopter : land it next to the boat and then jump aboard it.

The yacht appearing in TBoGT is owned by criminal Frickie Van Hardenburg . During the events of the game Luis Fernando Lopez is ordered by Yusuf Amir to steal the Buzzard helicopter off the boat and destroy it. This time, the Yacht is larger and has a helipad. Unlike in GTA: Vice City , you can now enter it.

The boat can be driven with the use of mods, and it makes a cameo in GTA V in the movie Meltdown .

Michael De Santa  is told by  Jimmy  that  Tracey  is hanging out with porn actors on a yacht named the Dignity and goes to stop them, then takes Tracey back to shore.

In Grand Theft Auto Online , the Dignity reappears as the location of a heist preparation mission , being owned by the Vagos . It also appears as a location for the Slasher Adversary Mode on the enhanced version .

Also in GTA Online after the Executives and Other Criminals update (enhanced version only) is the Galaxy Super Yacht, which can be purchased by the GTA Online Protagonist , functions as a safehouse , and comes with several other vehicles.
