The Isles Yacht Club vision is to be recognized as the premier yacht club in Southwest Florida providing a friendly private club experience with a broad range of quality activities for boaters and non-boaters. We are a private dining, yacht, and social club located on beautiful Charlotte Harbor in Punta Gorda. The staff is dedicated to making every experience personal and unique. The Isles Yacht Club offers a variety of activities and amenities for boaters and non-boaters alike. Membership offers social opportunities, award winning dining, a 45-slip marina, cruising, kayaking, lighted Har-Tru tennis courts, Bocce, Billiards, biking, a 24-hour fitness center, exercise classes, golf reciprocity, cards & games and much more! Easy parking with convenient access and Club atmosphere. Open dining area with comfortable seating. Wide variety of dining options well prepared and served by a competent personable staff. Certainly one of the best places I have visited in Punta Gorda area.

Great place to be a part of beautiful facility and food is really good. We've met many life friends at the Isles Yacht Club

This is an unusually friendly private club. While you would expect the staff to recognize members by name, this staff go out of the way to make members feel welcome. They make every effort to accommodate them with special menu items and last minute reservations. The members go out or their way to make new members and guests feel at home. Their chef has excellent, the crab cake we s to die for. I recommend people new to the area check out the Isles.

The food at the club is as good as it gets in Punta Gorda. The meals are always consistently good. The prices compare well to anything in town. The staff is excellent and very accomodating. If they have it in the kitchen they can make it for you. The Sunday Brunch is an especially great value. The Friday night happy hours are a lot of fun and a great place to meet new people. Reservations are never a problem as they will always find room for you.

As members of two Cape Cod Yacht Clubs, we were able to make a reservation as a guest. We found the cuisine to be excellent and supported by a very professional staff. Our thoroughly enjoyed our dinners of filet mignon and our time at this... facility. We may join once we relocate. More

The Isles Yacht Club of Punta Gorda Florida is in my opinion the best Yacht Club on the West Coast of Florida. A recently remodeled clubhouse with boat slips and gas dock, tennis courts, Bocce, gym and game rooms offers a complete menu including dining... room, grill room and bar where you can socialize, relax and meet a host of new people willing to help your visit be memorable. A great place to socialize in a boaters delight. There are guest slips and a gas dock with easy access. There is a grill room with a bar and TVs. Lunch and dinner are serves in a nautical environment. You can also eat on the... deck. Sunday brunch is well worth the trip. Friday night dinner and entertainment with dancing. Members and guests. Very nice setting (marina, outside bar, etc) Dining: service was slow (Friday 6pm). Was surprised that a glass of wine was a 'short-pour'. Believe they were putting Woodbridge (red) in the wine glass. Neither of the main courses dinners ordered/served were equal in quantity to... those at our home yacht club. But, the quality was good. Thought we might go there more often, but not so motivated after our 1 visit. You decide. More

The four of us had lunch here after docking the boat. Our first time but the other couple eat here a lot and are members. It was not busy at all - Saturday at 1 pm. Although our friends knew all the wait staff by... name, we still had to wait for water, menus, drinks, food, etc. They said they were short staffed but there were only 2 other tables besides ours. Don't know if this service is normal or not, but getting sandwiches with tea took us 1 1/2 hours, which was crazy. We did go back for the members' New Years Eve dinner, and service was better - but the food had already been preselected. More

We were there on a Thursday afternoon around 430pm, service was slow, server was not very attentive, forgot some of the order we placed and they were not busy. Food was OK.

I attended a Chamber of Commerce event at the Isles Yacht Club. The hors d’ouvres were delicious! I’m a vegetarian and they kindly replaced the crab cake and steak bites with extra stuffed mushrooms and caprese kabobs.

Had lunch outside on the veranda, nice view of the docks & harbor. Susan is a fantastic server, very personable!

With reciprocal privileges from our club, we were welcomed at the Isles Y.C. Our meals were excellent and the attentive service completed our dining experience. We ordered appetizers and two filets. From what we could tell at night, the facility was substantial and very well... established. More

Attended a wine tasting here and was very impressed by the location, decor and food and service. Very nice place.

Had a wonderful brunch today starting with excellent Bloody Mary's and a great selection of breakfast foods, including made to order omelettes and the best cinnamon buns! A little old school, but worth a visit.

I always enjoy dinner and Sunday brunch at the Isles Yacht Club. My parents have been members for many years; we have enjoyed their kind and courteous service, professionalism, and great food and wine time for over 15 years. Excellent choice!

Our server is someone who has been there a looong time and they are lucky to have her!! Kathie I think, she has a great sense of humor, is aware of your preferences for instance, I ordered a hamburger, (wow by the way, med rare... just as ordered, great charcoal flavor and huge), without the bun and laughed I'll have the nasty fries to go with that... she said if you are Gluten Free you should not have ours they are coated with flour to make them extra crunchy. so no fries for me.... but the coleslaw was great not to wet and very tasty! The other two gals got Island Salads with tuna salad and one with chick salad, had lots of fruit and they raved about the dressing, and OMG they were huge!!! The view is so pretty looking out to the marina in a really nice bar/dining room. One of my favorite places for lunch! More

Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association

There are many social groups offered through the PGICA, below is a list of just a few of the groups. Organizations hosted by the PGICA cover a wide range of interests and offer a variety of activities to members at minimal cost. New groups are frequently added. Newcomers Club

Events and meeting topics are geared for new residents. Fellow Newcomers are all members of the PGICA for less than two years. This turn-over of membership helps create an easy atmosphere for meeting new people. Monthly meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM. Visit Website

PGI Floridians Club

The PGI Floridians is a social group comprised of former Newcomers members who want to continue to build friendships and learn about the community. Activities include pot luck dinners and luncheons, outings to local attractions, golf, book clubs, a variety of sports and games, educational events and community service. Visit Website

Punta Gorda Cruising Club

This is a cruising club made up of members that want to cruise SW Florida and beyond. They do many cruises to different destinations, near and far. This is a great way to learn the waters and meet new friends. Membership to the PGICA is required to join the PGI Cruising Club. Visit Website

PG Islanders Cruising Club

They sponsor cruises to meet the needs of all types of boaters, including power and sail for daytrips as well as overnight and extended length cruises to many choice boating areas. Requirements for joining: PGICA membership, boat ownership in Punta Gorda, attendance at a minimum of three monthly membership meetings, participation in at least two scheduled cruises and work on at least one club event, committee or board. PGI Seafarers

The newest boating and cruising group offered by the PGICA, they have a high percentage of members who have lived in Punta Gorda for less than three years. This makes them the logical choice for newcomers who want to make new friends and meet other boaters. They offer one general meeting and two socials every month in addition to their events and cruises. Visit Website

Visual Arts Center

The Visual Arts center is located in Punta Gorda across from Fishermen’s Village. It offers art classes and workshops to local residents. Twin Isles Country Club

Charlotte County's premier, private country club is located in the heart of beautiful Burnt Store Isles. Categories of memberships include Golf, Tennis and Social. American Cruise Lines adds 2nd route that includes Punta Gorda

American Cruise Lines’ Florida Gulf Coast & Keys Cruise has been fully booked since the cruise itinerary was added in December 2023. As a result of the cruise’s initial success, company officials will add a second ship that will follow the same route in December 2024.  

Starting and ending in St. Petersburg, the eight-day, seven-night cruise stops in Punta Gorda on Day 6.  

The itinerary “has been enormously successful,” American Cruise Lines company spokesperson Alexa Paolella said.  

The first ship in the line to cruise to Charlotte County is American Legend, a 56-room coastal cat with a guest capacity of 100, with six common areas.  

It was inaugurated in 2023 and first arrived in Punta Gorda on Christmas Day 2023.  

The last Florida Gulf Coast & Keys Cruise for the season began March 15, and the itinerary won’t resume until Nov. 25, when the second ship, American Legend, will join American Glory in transporting guests along the same route, with a sixth-day stop in Punta Gorda.  

American Legend is American Glory’s sister ship, which was also inaugurated in 2023 and has the same room and guest capacity.  

Beginning at the end of 2024, each of the ships will be anchored on Charlotte Harbor, two days apart.  

American Cruise Lines is accepting bookings through Jan. 31, 2026.  

Paolella said American Cruise Lines executives were pleasantly surprised to see how popular the Florida cruises are, and that the company is considering adding more Florida destinations.  

Currently, the cruise line also runs a Great Rivers of Florida Cruise, beginning and ending in Jacksonville. It traverses the St. Johns River and stops include Amelia Island and St. Augustine.  

Other cruises that stop in Florida begin farther north in Charleston, South Carolina, and Baltimore, and their southernmost stop is Jacksonville.
