History of Vancouver Yachts

Vancouver Yachts, a revered name in sailboats manufacturing, embarked on its journey in 1970s under the proficient eyes of the British firm, Pheon Yachts. The brand derived its name from the Vancouver line of sailing vessels, symbolising durability and robustness, characteristics they sought to emulate in their own sailboats. The yard began its operation in Northampton, England, creating a legacy of high-quality yachts designed primarily for cruising. The company’s mainstay in the initial years was the Vancouver 27, a robustly built, long-keeled, blue-water cruiser.

However, the Vancouver brand's journey was not always smooth sailing. Following the insolvency of Pheon Yachts, the brand underwent a series of ownership changes and production shifts. First, it was acquired by Tradewind Yachts and later by Northshore Yachts, who then relocated the production to Itchenor, West Sussex. Despite these changes however, Vancouver's reputation for manufacturing solid and seaworthy boats remained unchanged.

Vancouver's brand and its rich heritage of crafting dependable cruising yachts today lies with Northshore Shipyard, now known as the parent company, Discovery Yachts Group. Their yachts are still synonymous with robustness and high-quality craftsmanship, with models ranging from Vancouver 27 to Vancouver 34, as well as the Vancouver 32 and 36, cementing their legacy in the sailing industry. These boats often feature a pilothouse, setting them apart from many similar-sized cruising yachts. While their geographical location has shifted over the decades, Vancouver's commitment to quality and durability has remained steadfast, earning them an illustrious reputation amongst passionate sailors worldwide.

• Please Note: Vancouver Boat Parties and Burrard Queen are not responsible for personal items unattended or left on the vessel by its guests.
• Parking: There is paid parking in the area. The closest one is Plaza of Nations Marina . Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to find parking. You can find more info here.

Sales Policy

Please note that our sales policy states that all ticket sales are final, and no exchanges, transfers, or refunds will be allowed after purchase.

Identification

To gain entry to any of our events, government-issued photo identification is required, and the name on the ID must match the name on the ticket. Please note that events held in the United States of America are strictly 21+, while in Canada, the minimum age requirement is 19+, with some exceptions based on provincial age limits. Timing and Music

The Burrard Queen operates with the following schedule and guidelines: Boarding begins at 8:00 PM, the Boat departs at 8:30 PM, re-docks at 11.30 PM, and the event concludes at 12:00 AM. To comply with city regulations concerning noise pollution, the captain occasionally requires the event organizers to temporarily lower or pause the music within city limits as the boat embarks and re-docks.

Liability Waiver

By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge and agree that Oceanic Entertainment Inc. and all associated parties will not be held liable for any claims, loss, damage to personal belongings, or injuries incurred during the event. Please note that the purchase of tickets and participation in the event do not indicate that the promoter assumes responsibility, liability, or control over the event.

Please note that some of our events may feature a fireworks display, but this is entirely at the discretion of the city and is not guaranteed. Oceanic Entertainment Inc has no control over the display, and will not be responsible for any cancellations. If a fireworks show is confirmed, the captain will do their best to cruise through the designated route.

Purchase Policy

Once a ticket is purchased, it cannot be refunded or exchanged, and the date and time of the event may be subject to change without notice. Oceanic Entertainment Inc will send an email notification in case of any changes to the event. Only the cardholder can pick up the tickets.

In the event that the entire event is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, Oceanic Entertainment Inc reserves the right to reschedule the event, issue a partial or full refund, or not issue any refunds. The issuer's decision in such cases will be final and binding

Indemnification

By purchasing tickets for this event, the ticket purchaser agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the event promoter, as well as their officers, owners, employees, and agents, from any and all claims, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, that may arise out of or in connection with the event. The ticket purchaser, along with their heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns, also hereby release, remise, and forever discharge the event promoter and its entities owners, officers, employees, and agents from any and all actions, causes of actions, suits, debts, judgments, executions, claims, and demands, whether known or unknown, in law or equity, that the ticket holder has ever had, now has, may have, or claims against the event promoter

Severability

If any clause, aspect, part, or provision of this Purchase Policy is found to be null, void, illegal, or otherwise unenforceable, the rest of this Purchase Policy remains in full binding effect, and the unenforceable provision(s) shall be deemed modified to the limited extent required to permit the enforcement of said clause that required modification and of the agreement as a whole.
