LIFE SAGA Yacht – Elegant $50M Superyacht
The LIFE SAGA yacht (previously named LIFE SAGA II), is a superyacht built and delivered in 2019 by Admiral Yachts in their shipyard in Marina di Carrara, Italy.
This 65.0m superyacht was designed according to the owner specifications. He also owns a 42.0m Heesen yacht under the same name, which was built in 1994.
The LIFE SAGA yacht is listed as number 358th on the ranking of the largest yachts in the world and she is the third largest yacht ever built by Admiral .
LIFE SAGA yacht interior
The LIFE SAGA yacht interior was penned by English designer Mark Berryman. His signature is all over the yacht with a timeless and contemporary style.
The owner visualized a cappuccino-themed interior, which inspired the neutral and warm color palette that can be seen today.
LIFE SAGA uses many different types of wood such as oak, walnut, and teak to create a relaxed and cozy atmosphere, while the leather finishes on the walls make for well thought out good contrast.
Some of the furniture was custom-made by the well-known Italian company Belvedere.
LIFE SAGA can accommodate 12 guests on board in six comfortable staterooms, as well as 17 crew members, including the yacht captain, Chris Delves.
The LIFE SAGA yacht offers an outdoor living area, spa pool, sauna, cinema lounge, gym, and a massage area for the owner and his family to enjoy.
The LIFE SAGA yacht features exterior design by Uniellé Yacht Design along with Admiral Yachts. The latter was also responsible for the yacht’s naval architecture.
She has a steel hull and aluminum superstructure plus four decks and a double-height glass right at the center of the vessel.
According to the LIFE SAGA’s captain, the owner wanted the exterior to be a combination of classic and modern forms.
Yacht specifications
LIFE SAGA is powered by 2 Caterpillar engines, giving her a cruising speed of 14.5 knots and a top speed of 15.5. knots.
She has an overall length of 65.0m, a 10.6m bean, a 2.9m draft, a 1,250 GT volume, and a fuel capacity of 120,000 liters
Currently, the yacht is not for sale or charter, but its price is estimated to be around $50 million, with a whopping annual running cost of $5 million.

LIFE SAGA YACHT REVIEW
The 65m/213ft superyacht LIFE SAGA embodies tranquillity with multi-functionality - two crucial concepts for the modern world. She was launched by Admiral in 2019 and has been nominated for the World Superyacht Awards 2020 for Displacement Motor Yachts Between 1,000 GT and 1,499 GT. Take a look on board and this 1,150 GT luxury yacht and see for yourself why she is such a worthy contender.
Ample exteriors
Before even setting a foot on board onlookers will be dazzled by the imposing pure white hull and superstructure that conceal a wealth of modern amenities within.
For many arrivals, their first impression will be the large swim platform from the fold-down transom door to the beach club, and plush sunbeds and a Jacuzzi beckon from within.
The main deck aft also boasts a sizeable sunbathing area, where a canvas bimini over the Jacuzzi extends the shade provided by the upper deck overhang. Plush sofas invite guests to remain outdoors even after sundown, as ceiling spotlights provide plenty of illumination and the serene moonlight bathes the landscape and glitters off the sea.
The upper deck aft has a circular dining table in the skylounge that can be outdoors or surrounded by glass for use even in colder seasons. Diners will be served by the port side wet bar, and the conversation can continue long into the night on the sumptuous sofas.
The sundeck also has its own wet bar along with a large spa pool and sunbeds on the raised aft section to sit back, relax and make the most of sunny days. Seating is abundant for large gatherings, and couples can watch the changing scenery from the raised forward sun loungers.
Bespoke interiors
Award-winning designer Mark Berryman was in charge of creating her stunning living spaces and took into consideration the Owner's interest in leather car interiors. As such, leather and its stitch detailing is an integral part of the surroundings, and can be found in the wall panelling, the handrail on the main staircase and even in some exterior areas where it has been treated to withstand the elements.
The warm natural colour scheme continues from the floor to the ceiling with plenty of oak used throughout, accompanied by darker walnut and wenge for contrast. Instead of relying on high gloss lacquers, the natural beauty of each material is brought out with a brushed finish that highlights the texture and grain. Lines are an important element in directing attention throughout the open plan interiors and take inspiration from Japanese design, and orchids and other hydroponic plants add a homely ambiance while keeping with the organic theme. Travertine, sunset onyx and emperador marble finish the high quality interiors in the en-suite bathrooms, and guests with a good eye will spot these materials finishing off the edges around the main salon wet bar and similar places.
Every area is multi-functional, as is evident in the beach club with its Jacuzzi, plush seating area and gym concealed behind a dividing wall. The cinema lounge on the main deck forward is another example: The large sofa facing the 75" cinema screen has two pivot joints at its centre so that it can be converted into inward-facing sofas for conversation.
Guests have both the sophisticated main salon and skylounge for everyday indoor gatherings or celebrating a special occasion, and the former has a football table and circular seating close to the aft doors where everyone can get together for morning coffee. The skylounge offers an alternative to the cinema for cosy evenings with loved ones, and the wet bar boasts a large selection of spirits and soft drinks for all ages. When it's time to savour a multi-course meal from the professional on board chef, the aft dining area can be opened to the elements or kept enclosed for the full benefit of air conditioning and reduced noise from the cityscape while in port.
Stately accommodation
The guest suites match the opulence to be found in the shared guest areas, and there are six beautifully-appointed en-suite cabins to accommodate a group of 12.
The Master suite on the main deck forward has its own private lounge as well as a bedroom, creating a tranquil place to unwind with hobbies away from distractions. The occupants have a king-sized bed to sleep soundly in complete comfort every night, and the generous bathtub is an ideal way to wind down after every adventure.
The VIP stateroom with en-suite benefits from elevated views on the upper deck and has its own king-sized bed and sofa.
The rest of the guest accommodation is placed on the lower deck and each cabin is fitted to the same high standards.
The crew themselves also have ample accommodation with en-suite facilities, sleeping up to 17.
Luxury yacht LIFE SAGA is a refined choice as versatile in purpose as her surroundings, and an absolute treat for cruising in scenic spots the world over.
