Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Season 4 Review

There's a whole new world of dinosaurs to explore. and apparently torture..

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Season 4 Review - IGN Image

This review contains mild spoilers for Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. The new season premiered on Netflix Dec. 3.

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous went into its fourth season on a high. It’s rare for any series — children’s or otherwise — to be able to continue to improve upon its quality three years in a row, but the writers of Camp Cretaceous were able to pull it off with strong focus on the bonds between the (now former) campers and a special kind of empathy towards the very dinosaurs that were hunting them. Regrettably, Season 4 ends that streak.

Through its tenure, Camp Cretaceous has been a way for fans of all ages to get a small dose of the Jurassic franchise between major film entries while expanding the universe initially created in Michael Crichton’s books. Darius (Paul-Mikél Williams), Brooklynn (Jenna Ortega), Sammy (Raini Rodriguez), Yasmina (Kausar Mohammed), Kenji (Ryan Potter), and Ben (Sean Giambrone) all find themselves trapped on Isla Nublar after the events of the first Jurassic World, forcing the teens to fight for their lives while trying to find common ground. The first season was basically if Jurassic Park met The Breakfast Club.

Now that we’re in Season 4, those interpersonal issues are largely gone. Friendships continue to grow, and we even get a budding relationship in this new chapter. The kids’ emotional evolution is on full display as they work their way through their new issues after escaping Isla Nublar (leaving Ben’s beloved dinosaur, Bumpy, behind). Though they attempted to make their way to Costa Rica so the Coast Guard could get them to their families, they discovered pretty quickly that they weren’t the only ones who escaped Jurassic World. The Mosasaurus capsizes their boat, forcing them ashore a new island.

The obvious move here would have been Isla Sorna, the second of the two islands originally owned by John Hammond for all of his dino-related purposes. Instead, they find themselves on an island-wide experiment run by Manta Corp where they discover both friend and foe.

Realizing they’re stuck once again after the brief hope of the yacht they nearly escaped on, we start to see cracks in the kids’ psyches. Yaz is the strongest example this season, which ends up being a highpoint in the narrative this year. As the strongest and fastest of the six friends, it’s great to see Camp Cretaceous showcasing that even the toughest among us have moments where they need help. It’s an especially exciting move when a lot of Season 4 seems to be at war with itself.

We spoke about the campers’ empathy toward the dinosaurs in the beginning of this review. It’s important to note that Season 4 has that on display more than any of the previous seasons, but it’s in that empathy that makes Camp Cretaceous seem at war with itself. It’s almost as if the series forgot that most people are here because they love dinosaurs, and they don’t need to see them being tortured to want them to be taken care of. Yet, here’s Season 4, waltzing into the picture with some unfathomable desire to be needlessly cruel to its audience.

What's the best Jurassic movie?

Let’s set aside that this is a kids’ show for a hot second. Being mean to your audience can be a strong storytelling tool. Attacking viewers’ emotions helps guide them into feeling however you want them to so you can tell your tale in the most impactful way possible. But it has to be earned, and that is where Camp Cretaceous fails in ways the series never has before. First of all, it is a show for younger audiences, so its need to endlessly torture both dinosaurs and AI alike feels out of bounds from the jump. If the slow introduction of more and more cruelty to these creatures isn’t enough, there is a dinosaur-related scene in the season’s penultimate episode that is so pointlessly mean spirited that it warranted pausing and walking away for a moment. Worse still, the scene in question has absolutely no narrative purpose. It is solely there to act as a manipulative gut punch to the viewer. It’s successful, but it’s not impactful, and this season’s lack of understanding between the two is extremely frustrating given how smart it’s been in past years.

While still acknowledging those frustrations, Camp Cretaceous has always been a strong entry into the Jurassic franchise. There are a lot of moments in Season 4 worth scrunching your nose at, but that sentiment remains mostly true. We meet some new key players this season that leave a lot of intrigue for coming chapters, and there are plenty of cute new dinosaurs to fawn over. The teens’ emotional bonds remain complex and enjoyable, too. Hopefully, next year will be more of a return to form.

The core elements of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous are successfully displayed in its fourth season, but there's an addition of unnecessary cruelty that taints the newest crop of episodes. New characters and an interested season cliffhanger keep the intrigue for Season 5 alive, but Camp Cretaceous' first rough season is a frustrating hiccup in the story.

Camp Cretaceous team on how season 3 fills in gaps between Jurassic World movies

How the animated Netflix series connects to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Warning: Spoilers from Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous season 3 are discussed in this article.

When you're stranded on a tropical island dodging ravenous man-eating dinosaurs, it's difficult to keep track of time. But time, indeed, has passed since the kids of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous , the animated spin-off series to the Jurassic World movies, first arrived on Isla Nublar for their summer camp experience that turned into a nightmare.

In fact, it's been six months. Season 1 showed what happened on the other side of the island during the events of 2015's Jurassic World , and now season 3, streaming on Netflix, has reached the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom part of the timeline.

Camp Cretaceous showrunner Scott Kreamer and executive producer Colin Trevorrow , who laid the groundwork for the current Jurassic World film trilogy, spoke with EW about how the show's new season fills in the gaps between the events of the movies.

"I think it helps the audience mark the passage of time with these kids," Trevorrow says of season 3. "They're on this island and, at a certain point, it seems as if they've been there for this indeterminate amount of time. To make clear, first of all, what the timeline was at the beginning of Fallen Kingdom — it was about six months after the fall of Jurassic World — for kids who've grown up on it, it's cool to allow them to connect to these touchstones in the story and recognize that the story we're telling is part of the larger story. It's not just some cartoon show for kids. We take it seriously, I'll admit it."

Fallen Kingdom

The opening scene of 2018's Fallen Kingdom , as you might remember, sees a group of mercenaries trying to recover Indominus Rex bones on Isla Nublar after the hybrid broke free from its theme park cage and ravaged the island. The mission hit a couple of snags in the form of the Mosasaurus and the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Camp Cretaceous season 3 recreates pieces of this sequence in animated form to show what was going on elsewhere on the island during that time, as shown in the clip above.

Darius (Paul-Mikel Williams) and Brooklyn (Jenna Ortega) were racing to get away from the T. Rex when the creature heard the sounds of Jack (the guy who gets swallowed whole by the Mosasaurus in the movie) racing to get to the chopper. It's the event that sets the stage for Fallen Kingdom , which sees businessman Eli Mills ( Rafe Spall ) trying to sell dinosaurs on the black market as weapons to the highest bidders. Camp Cretaceous offers up a bit more perspective on this.

Dr. Wu returns

Dr. Henry Wu, the chief scientist of InGen, the bioengineering company behind the Jurassic World theme park, touched down on Isla Nublar in the penultimate episode of season 3. Mills had sent him and those mercenaries to acquire a sample of the Indominus Rex to make another hybrid dinosaur, which ends up being the Indoraptor monstrosity featured in Fallen Kingdom .

Actor Greg Chun voiced Dr. Wu in Camp Cretaceous , though Kreamer says they first went to B.D. Wong , who plays the character in the live-action movies. Mills, too, is referenced directly by Wu.

"He really is the thread that runs throughout everything," Kreamer says of Wu. "The fact that we know from Fallen Kingdom that [opening sequence] mission is to get the Indominus sample, it felt like a great way to thread him even more into our part of the mythology."

Wong will return as Dr. Wu in Jurassic World: Dominion , directed by Trevorrow as the final installment of the new Jurassic trilogy. The filmmaker remarks with hindsight how thrilled he was over the choice to "take this character who was only in Jurassic Park [the 1993 movie] for about three minutes and turn him into the thread that runs through the entire [franchise]."

According to Trevorrow, "there are connections that we're making for sure" between Dominion , now scheduled for a 2022 release in theaters, and Camp Cretaceous . "When you see Dominion , it will be clear that it takes place on the same timeline and in the same world as our show."

The Scorpius Rex

Wu's involvement in season 3 also gave credence to a pretty ghastly but logical conclusion that comes to light: the Indominus Rex and the Indoraptor were not his first attempts to create a hybrid dinosaur.

As the kids learn first through video diaries found in a secret facility on Isla Nublar, Wu tried to create something called the Scorpius Rex, made by fusing together different animal parts, including Tyrannosaurus Rex and Velociraptor. The dino has infrared vision perfect for tracking its prey and poisonous stingers — the latter stemming from scorpionfish DNA. Wu's creation was far too volatile. He was tasked with destroying it, but he couldn't. Instead, he froze it permanently — that is until the building housing the cryogenic status tube lost power during the events of Camp Cretaceous season 2.

Darius, Brooklyn, Yaz (Kausar Mohammad), Ben (Sean Giambrone), Kenji (Ryan Potter), and Sammy ( Raini Rodriguez ) faced not one, but two Scorpius Rexes in season 3, after deducing the dino must've been made with frog DNA which would allow it to replicate.

"We wanted it to feel like a failed medical experiment," Kreamer explains. "Our design team just put a lot of time into figuring out what features should be exaggerated. We definitely wanted it to feel as the same phylum as the Indominus and the Indoraptor."

Trevorrow initially thought the Scorpius Rex design was "the ugliest thing ever," so much so that he "was a little against [the concept] at first."

"[The producers] rightly explained, 'Well, that's sort of the point, man.' It's the idea that we are messing with nature to the point that we have things that are genetic malfunctions," he says. "It's some dark stuff."

Another familiar face from the movies makes a comeback in season 3 for a significant role.

Blue, the favorite raptor of raptor whisperer Owen Grady ( Chris Pratt ), came in to first scare the kids as they continued to roam Isla Nublar, but then save them in the knick of time from the Scorpius Rexes.

Blue was spotted in season 1 when some of the campers accidentally found themselves in the raptor cages, but she returned in season 3 to show what the dino has been up to in between the fall of the theme park in the first movie and the dinosaur rescue mission of the second movie.

This clever girl made a home for herself in the old visitor's center at the original Jurassic Park attraction. At first, she hunts the kids after they stray into her territory, but she becomes more friendly after Darius rescues her from underneath a toppled car.

In the final battle against the Scorpius Rexes, Blue jumps in to save the day as the hybrid creatures are crushed (hopefully to death) by falling rubble.

Leaving the island

Knowing that season 3 of the show would line up with Fallen Kingdom in the timeline of the Jurassic franchise meant that, yes, the kids would finally be leaving the island.

In Fallen Kingdom , Isla Nublar is destroyed by an erupting volcano. Owen teams up with Claire Dearing ( Bryce Dallas Howard ), now a dino rights activist, to save as many dinosaurs as possible before their home is swallowed by molten lava. This, of course, leads them to be double-crossed by Eli, who's looking to snatch the creatures to sell in an underground auction.

In any case, Kreamer and the writers determined this would be the season to finally get the kids off the island. They repair the yacht once owned by those nefarious big game hunters in season 2 and set sail. However, they are carrying something potentially vicious on board.

"It's clear that there's plenty more story to tell," Kreamer says. "It can go in a lot of different ways, but it does certainly seem that our kids, while escaping some peril... I don't think they're on their way to Club Med."

One possibility for the story moving forward could be the reintroduction of Isla Sorna, the second island owned by InGen where they cloned dinosaurs and bred them until they were ready to be transplanted onto Isla Nublar. How tragic would it be for the kids to finally leave their hellscape only to land on another one?

A different possibility might involve a certain drone spotted in the third episode of season 3. We see the bot zipping through the trees in pursuit of the Scorpius Rex before the creature swats it down. The drone doesn't seem to belong to Dr. Wu or his men. The scientist expressed surprise when he heard the Scorpius Rex had been loosed on the island. So, who does this drone belong to?

"Boy, it makes you wonder, doesn't it?" Kreamer says, playing coy. "I'll say this: For anyone who has been tracking the speed with which these seasons have been made available, that would only suggest that there's a larger plan afoot. The writers have done some really excellent work in mapping out the story that we want to be able to tell, if we're able to tell all of it. There are a lot of seeds that have been planted."

Season 4 of Camp Cretaceous has not been announced, and Kreamer insists he doesn't know if they'll get to make more seasons. However, animation takes time to make, so chances are they could be working on more episodes as we speak and just aren't saying. After all, Netflix announced season 3 in March, just two months before its May premiere.

While Kreamer would be happy making as many seasons as they get green lights for, he says there was a definitive ending in mind when he first set out to make the show, and he's not quite there yet.

"We do have a beginning, middle, and an end for it," Trevorrow affirms. "I certainly wouldn't want anyone to think that we don't have a plan. We do, and there is an ending in sight. Scott and the writers have plotted out a pretty exciting way forward."

  • Trivia When the show was announced and concept art was released, there was a lot of concern among adult fans that it would be a "kid-ified" version of the series, with all of the action and drama toned down and replaced with comedy. Steven Spielberg himself assured fans that this was not the case, and indeed the show sticks pretty close to the tone of the movies, with the only things "toned down" being the presence of blood and the use of profanity.

Cruising the Moskva River: A short guide to boat trips in Russia’s capital

camp cretaceous yacht

There’s hardly a better way to absorb Moscow’s atmosphere than on a ship sailing up and down the Moskva River. While complicated ticketing, loud music and chilling winds might dampen the anticipated fun, this checklist will help you to enjoy the scenic views and not fall into common tourist traps.

How to find the right boat?

There are plenty of boats and selecting the right one might be challenging. The size of the boat should be your main criteria.

Plenty of small boats cruise the Moskva River, and the most vivid one is this yellow Lay’s-branded boat. Everyone who has ever visited Moscow probably has seen it.

camp cretaceous yacht

This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.

Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such  option  offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).

If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.

camp cretaceous yacht

Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.

How to buy tickets?

Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.

“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!”  wrote  (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.

Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.

camp cretaceous yacht

Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.

Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.

Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as  this   offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.

This  website  (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other  website  sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.

Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.

camp cretaceous yacht

“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.

There are two main boarding piers in the city center:  Hotel Ukraine  and  Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.

Where to sit onboard?

Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.

The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.

camp cretaceous yacht

Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.

There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.

Production [ ]

In the 1990's, Steven Spielberg and Universal Studios attempted to create an animated series based on Jurassic Park due to that films unprecedented level of critical and commercial success. Despite genuine interest the series never made it past pre-production. Another animated series which was meant to tie in with the Chaos Effect toy line would later enter development but also was never made.

In 2018, after the critical and commercial successes of Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom , Universal stated its commitment to making expanded media for the Jurassic World franchise. This included books, the toylines, video games, and rumored to include animated TV series.

In 2019 rumors circulated that Universal Studios and DreamWorks Animation 's partnership to adapt animated series based on Universal film franchises would include Jurassic World. That summer, a teaser was released online announcing that Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous would release sometime in 2020. Scott Kreamer and Aaron Hammersley are the showrunners and executive producers. The series also sees Steven Spielberg , Frank Marshall , Colin Trevorrow , and Lane Lueras serving as executive producer; with Zack Stentz serving as a consulting producer.

Production of season 2 began right at the outbreak of COVID-19, but was not interrupted because the entirety of the series was animated and the cast were able to work remotely. [3]

On developing the third season, Kreamer said that they "wanted the kids to have their own agency and put their fate in their own hands [...] we wanted to take some time and do some cool stuff, and have some fun, and do things that we hadn't done before because there was no time to do it because the kids were always running for their lives". [4] When asked about transferring the animated series into the live-action Jurassic World universe, he responded by saying: "I would never say never. As far as I know, there are no immediate plans for that to happen but it would be pretty cool if it did". [4]

Along with Kreamer and Raini Rodriguez , Trevorrow teased a fourth season: "We do have a beginning, middle, and an end for it. We do [have a plan], and there is an ending in sight. Scott and the writers have plotted out a pretty exciting way forward". [5] Trevorrow explained that the show would not include the volcano eruption scene from Fallen Kingdom and said that "if we are able to tell the whole story that we have plotted out here, that the writers have built, it will really give us a chance to go into some really new spaces that are a real departure from the movies". [6] In an interview, Kreamer confirmed the return of the Spinosaurus , a dinosaur first depicted in Jurassic Park III (2001), and said the fourth season would take place on an island "previously unseen in the Jurassic canon". [7] The writers originally thought the B.R.A.Ds were too unrealistic for the series. After watching a video by Boston Dynamics about robots, however, the writers decided to include them. On developing the relationship between Kenji and Brooklynn, Kreamer said the idea was first brought up and dismissed during the making of season two. He added: "It's a kid show and it's not necessarily something you would do in Jurassic . But it felt [like] a natural progression. If you've got six kids on an island for six months, feelings are going to develop. And we wanted to approach it in a way that felt organic to the show and made sense with our characters". [8]

Following the release of the final season, several Common Sense Media parents gave mostly positive reviews. They expressed some concern about the change in tone and focus on teenagers, but mentioned that they and their children still enjoyed the action and adventure.

At the San Diego Comic Con 2019, Mattel revealed that several of the Jurassic World toylines would be tie ins with this show. In 2020 aforementioned toys modeled after dinosaurs and characters from the show were released.

In September 2020, fast-food chain McDonald's began including Happy Meal toys based on Camp Cretaceous . Included were booklets as well as four eggs containing toy dinosaurs from the show.

  • Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is not, however, the first Jurassic Park TV series overall. That honor goes to LEGO Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nublar , a Canadian animated miniseries that aired on Nickelodeon and the Family Channel in Canada, and then later Netflix, internationally.
  • Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is the first animated TV series to be co-produced by Amblin Television since 2007's The Land Before Time TV series.
  • Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is the second DreamWorks Animation TV series based on a Universal Studios film property after Fast & Furious: Spy Racers .
  • Camp Cretaceous shares a numerous similarities to films directed by Steven Spielberg such as the original Jurassic Park , Jaws , E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial , Hook as well as the Spielberg produced Super 8 .
  • Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is second, however, to the semi-canonical Jurassic Park: The Game which was concurrent with Jurassic Park .
  • Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is the first Jurassic Park media to feature openly LGBT characters on screen in Sammy Gutierrez and Yasmina Fadoula .
  • Mr. DNA retains his traditionally-animated form in the series.
  • Aside from Hidden Adventure , Apatosaurus has made no appearance in the series, although the animal is featured in the promotional book.
  • For the first time in the franchise, Brontosaurus is acknowledged to be a separate genus from Apatosaurus . When Kenji identifies an unseen dinosaur as Brontosaurus , Darius corrects him that the park doesn't have that sauropod, rather than referring to Apatosaurus which the park does have.
  • This is first time that Ceratosaurus makes appearance in Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous ever since the cameo in Jurassic Park III on Isla Sorna .
  • Pocket Sandwich Theaters originally planned a parody of Jurassic Park named "Camp Cretaceous", but had to rename their parody to Triassic Trek after Netflix acquired the rights to "Camp Cretaceous". [9]
  • This is the third film canon entity to refer to the Nublar Tyrannosaurus rex as " Rexy ." The first was Jurassic Park: The Game the second is The Evolution of Claire in 2018.
  • This series confirms Compsognathus to be venomous in the film canon.
  • In “ The Art of Chill ”, Darius states that Stegosaurus shed their plates as they grow. However, there is no evidence to suggest that the species did this in real life.
  • Main Street is shown to still be in the center of the island like it was in Jurassic World , further contradicting the digital map seen in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom .
  • According to executive producer Scott Kreamer, in his mind, it took 6 to 8 weeks for the campers to build their tree house from the time Yaz began sketching it, making the length of season 2 at least more than a month's time. [10]
  • Season 3 marks first time that Dimorphodon makes appearance in Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous after a six-year hiatus since its appearance in Jurassic World . However, the series does not show them having pycnofibers on their backs, even though they did in Jurassic World .
  • Season 3 also marks the first time Ouranosaurus and Monolophosaurus appear in the franchise.
  • It remains unknown what happened to the three Velociraptors on Mantah Corp Island during the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Jurassic World: Dominion .
  • Season 4 marks the first time Kentrosaurus and Smilodon appear in the franchise.
  • Season 4 marks the return of Spinosaurus after a 20-year hiatus since its appearance in Jurassic Park III , in fact not only does it mark the return of the species, but also the return of the individual from Jurassic Park III itself , who is estimated to be around 17 years old at this time.
  • And the return of the Dilophosaurus after 28 years since Jurassic Park .
  • Season 4 marks the first time the Spinosaurus is given a canon name: "Asset 87". Plus marking the first time in 20 years, since Jurassic Park: III , the gender of the Spinosaurus is mentioned, which is male.
  • Although unconfirmed, Allosaurus, Apatosaurus, Styracosaurus, and Triceratops appear with the Camp Cretaceous icon in the Jurassic World Evolution 2 database, despite them not appearing in the series itself.
  • Whether this is meant as a reference or simply the reutilisation of assets is yet to be confirmed.
  • Season 5 is the first full canon entry in the Jurassic Park franchise to release on a Thursday.
  • As season 5 will be the end of the series Mantah Corp will be defeated. Also, the campers will finally come home.
  • Dennis Nedry's Barbasol can from the original Jurassic Park movie has be rediscovered by Lewis Dodgson .
  • Dave and Roxie had return for the final season.
  • Season 5 marks the first time Nothosaurus appears in the franchise.
  • Season 5 has strikingly similarities with the obscure game, Jurassic Park: Dinosaur Battles , as both feature dinosaur fights and torture under belt, and the two main villains ( Irene Corts & Daniel Kon ) have a lot in common when it comes to their villainy.
  • The epilogue takes place in the year 2018 right after the Isla Nublar dinosaurs break out of Lockwood Manor .
  • Since two years have passed since the campers finally returned home, the campers are now around fifteen, eighteen, seventeen, and sixteen years old.
  • The campers calling themselves the " Nublar Six " at the end, it could be due to the reference to the six Jurassic movies.
  • Hidden Adventure is the longest episode of the series, by a minimum of 8 minutes.
  • There is currently a sequel series to Camp Cretaceous named after the last episode of season two called Chaos Theory .

Camp cretaceous episode twenty one: eye of the storm.

The episode opens from the Point of view of a mystery dinosaur as it pursues and kills a Gallimimus. Meanwhille Brooklynn and Sammy rush out of the secret laboratory to attempt to warn the others. However, they encounter a stampede of dinosaurs running their way, which knocks the Gyrosphere off of it’s course. They witness a Brachiosaurus being attacked, and run away to safety.

Back at the Camp, Darius relieves old memories while he and Kenji wait for the boat sealant to dry. Darius mentions that he will go gather supplies for the trip, but Kenji offers to go in his place. Darius leaves Kenji in charge, as he leaves. As Ben arrives, Kenji immediately attempts to delegate the responsibility of packing to him, as he celebrates.

Elsewhere, Darius observes a herd of Gallimimus, writing a description of them for his field guide, even as Kenji calls him to reassure him that he is doing his job. Kenji attempts to pack the essentials, even as Yaz tells him they should go check on Ben to make sure that he is okay after Kenji has sent him on the errand. As Darius attempts to feed a Gallimimus, he is interrupted again by a call from Kenji informing him that Ben is missing, as he tries to reassure him he is capable of searching, just before Darius hangs up on him.

As Darius follows the flock, he notices the Gallimimus suddenly becoming agitated and fleeing the area, and sees a dead Gallimimus fall out of the tree after noticing quills stuck. Darius scours his field guide for an answer to the killer, even as he is startled by a nearby noise, which is revealed to be Sammy and Brooklynn stumbling into him. They explain the situation with E750 to Darius, and inform him that there is another hybrid dinosaur is loose on the island. They resolve to leave the Island now.

Kenji and Yaz follow Ben to a Ankylosaurus herd, where he has introduced Bumpy to a new group. The group head back to the camp. As they reach the camp, they receive a call from Darius that there is another hybrid dinosaur and they have to leave the Island immediately. He tells Yaz to go to the boat while he and Ben would go to gather the supplies and wait for the other campers to go catch up to them. Yaz runs to the boat, reaching it just in time to observe that there is a storm approaching. The campers gather their supplies, as Yaz returns, inform them that the storm is too risky to try to leave in. Darius and Kenji trade blame, and the rest of the camp begin to argue about who was at fault for the situation, as they resolve to wait for the storm to pass, even as they fortify the camp in preparation.

Yaz has a falling out with Sammy, as she is afraid that they will never see each other again afterwards. Kenji has the idea to use the car battery to make an electrified fence. The storm begins, causing Bumpy to become agitated, and he runs off, even as the group hears a distant howling, and they retreat to the safety of the campsite.  Elsewhere, the E750 attacks a group of Parasaurolophus close to the camp, as the rain begins to fall.

The Scorpios Rex stalks the perimeter of the camp,  brushing against the electrified fence, and becoming agitated, attacking the fence and causing the campers to scream. It is able to utilize it’s infared vision to see the campers, before it disappears, having climbed to the top of the camp to catch them by surprise. E750 leaps down,  and the camps attempt to evade it to little avail, even as lightning strikes a nearby tree, and the fire distracts the predator long enough for them to be able to run away.

Sammy is injured as the tail sweeps against her, and the campers are cornered by the electrified fence, as the E750 roars at them. It is met by an answering roar in the distance, as it rushes to meet the challenge, running off into the jungle, as the campers sigh in relief, just as they realize that Sammy has been hit by the quills, just as she faints as the episode ends.

Restaurant-Yacht Chaika

Ratings and reviews, location and contact.

Pleasantly surprised, service is good so is the food. Great selection of Fusion food, a mixture of Italian, Japanese, European, Asian etc. A pleasantly nice dining experience, highly recommended, a must try!

Thank you for your feedback and invite you to have lunch or dinner again aboard the ship in an atmosphere of high standards of yacht hospitality.

everything was perfect - the food, the service, the desserts were the best, nice atmosphere and the location - magical

Best food, best view in Moscow. absolutely faultless from arrival to finish. Best risotto i had for many years absolutely perfectly cooked. The view on Ukrainian hotel and the white house by night is amazing

Had to wait for the food for 1.5 hours and then another 20 minutes for the check. Finally called for the manager and he offered... a 10% discount as a compensation. Simply pathetic! The food is mediocre at best. Not bad per se, but one... would expect something better considering the prices. There are many places to eat in area that are much better. Avoid this one at all costs. Food is very expensive, very pretentious, doesn't worth that money. Portions are very small. We ordered ravioli and there were 4! Four raviolis! For almost 15 euros. Then we asked to bring us dessert menu but nothing, they didn't even bothered, so we payed and left... without dessert. Very poor service for that price. More

This is a very good restaurant. The food is really good, maybe the best in Moscow. The service is also good. The view from the restaurant is great. The prices are very high.

I often visit this restaurant and must say it’s one of the best in Moscow in terms of quality and service. Staff really try hard to make sure that you are happy and satisfied. Customer service is a huge problem in Moscow but Chaika sets... a great example for others in the industry! Food is delicious and the menu has lots of options for everyone! Atmosphere is great and view is beautiful on the embankment. Special thanks to German & Oleg! More

Thank you for your feedback! Again aboard the yacht restaurant "Chaika" in accordance with the high standards of yacht hospitality.

Highly recommended, great location in the city center of Moscow with a superb atmosphere. Too many menu choices, though all delicious!

Thx a lot for your review! We are looking forward to see you in our restaurants.

Visited this lovely restaurant with a friend of mine. It was relaxingly warm August evening - so the place on the river seemed like a good idea. We came quite early and the restaurant was not full. The hostesses kindly offered several places to sit... and we chose to sit on the sofas. We had some wine, which was good. We struggled a bit when deciding about the food as few options (scallops) were not available. Fish on ice on display did not look very fresh. To be honest it was an unusually hot August and it is probably understandable that some see food options were not available. However, we did manage to order something and sat waiting and looking onto the river. My long-legged friend struggled sitting at the low sofa and the manager noticed that, offering as a very good, proper table beside the open window. It was nice touch and I was very pleased by their polite observations and immediate reaction to solve the problem. Food was quite good and presentation was perfect. Perhaps I can something about the food, but 1 visit is not enough to criticize or make a definitive opinion. Overall, quality place, which of course, does not come cheap. I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation. More

Good afternoon! Thank you for your detailed feedback! We are looking forward to seeing you again, we are sure that you will be delighted with our dishes!
