I dont live there bit after reading all the bad horrible feed back. I will never consider this place to live a live with a family.. scary. Thanks to all the wrote a review on this place..

Roaches infested place

If I can rate as zero I would! Poop and Roaches, ALL THE WAY! Management lies to your face, they have rules but THEY ONLY APPLY WHEN THEY FEEL LIKE IT. The WORSE ELEVATORS ever! Don't be surprised if 2 or 3 are broken at the same time. Walls are thin, The WORSE place and staff I have ever had to deal with. DO NOT BOTHER COMPLAINING-Deaf management. The place is an absolute dump. The staff are some of the rudest people I have ever been around, there is trash everywhere, we live with cockroaches, roaches crawl all over our counter tops no matter how much they spray, in the hallways there are bugs smooched on the walls, people leave their trash in the hallways, and the smell of trash in the hallways is over coming. The administration NEVER answers our calls, but when we write they ask you to talk to them ... liars !! All the nice reviews, are employees, is mandatory to write 20 reviews for the employees. nothing on the promos or brochures are true. Dirty, nasty, my kid got sick, coz the roaches and rats. Yes, parking lot, lots and lots of Rats and Rats traps.

Not a place for living or raising a family

This place was perfect until the administration decided to openly welcome short term rentals, even they liked the idea they are turning tower 1 to a short term rental building. For all the tenants they promised to terminate all the AIRBNB departments from tower 2 & 3 back in November 2018. It is April 2019 and you can see more short term vacationists on the property. These people has bring a noise environment, pets which defecate all over the property and not picking it up, crazy drivers over the parking lot and taking residents spots with no action from the administration. Several residents are leaving because administration is doing nothing to keep peace and security in the property. If you are looking for a place to live in Sunny Isles, look somewhere else, here is a Zoo.

Terrible Management

This place has been horrible. The only thing worse than the condition of the apartments is the hassle of the incompetent maintenance people. The security is a joke...every family in a 5 block radius comes to use the pool. You will have no luck getting a lounge on the weekends. And if you do, you can expect to constantly be bit by bed bug style bugs. Nice red dots all over my body each time I go to the pool. They also rent out to AirBnB, so you will have plenty of sleepless nights while your neighbors party it up on their Tuesday vacation night. And when issues arise, and they most certainly will (it took one month to get the disgusting state of the apartment fixed) you will find out just how bad their management is. Idalio will shake your hand smiling all the way, and then go "accidently" raise your rent. He goes back on his word constantly, and blatantly lies. TRUST ME, SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND GO LIVE SOMEWHERE NICE!

If you know it you stay away from it. Resident

Lived in this place for the past two years. Honestly at the beginning was a really nice place, quiet, for family, clean.Unfortunately during this last year the manager is changed and everything is changed. The bigger problem is that this is not only residential but a lot of vacationer come here every day. If during the day you work, maybe during the night you need to sleep: here is impossible! Party on the balcony every night disturb you and when call the security they need thirty minutes before to come (if they come).otherwise prepare you and your family for a long night of insomnia.police is here every night. Dogs pee everywhere, in the aisles, inside the elevators, in the garages...everywhere. Trivial and banal security: check your identity when you arrive on your car but if you walking you can enter without any tipe of check. Everybody can come inside, use the pool, the gym, arrive at the door of your apartment with no problem. Package service: now they don’t accept medium or heavy packages. Prepare yourself to go in Hialeah (50min on the road) to pickup your package at UPS... so, you can not receive packages at your home address????????? Elevators are a nightmare. You risk having to wait a lot, 15/20 min before the elevator arrive at the floor. when finally arrive...is full... The people that work at the offices are really rude, without any attitude to work. Services have generally worsened and don’t justify the price to live in this place.

They cancelled my lease and kept my $500 deposit

Please be cautious if you are interested in renting here. My husband and I signed for an unit and we thought all was well until we received a call that the current tenants wanted to continue their lease and stay. Which we understood and before hand you sign an agreement understanding that this may happen. What I do not appreciate, is that when we decided not to go for another unit because they were way more expensive we could not get our deposit back! To make matters worse we have yet to receive a call from management or the leasing agent who has helped us. We had emailed and called several times, first the leasing agent was on vacation and the manager just is always not in office. I understand if it takes a few days to get back to us, but weeks??? If this is any indication how management is I am so happy we found out sooner rather than later!

WARNING: Stay Away From This Nightmare

They accept new residents promoting a safe and family friendly environment while they have an infestation of airbnb, vrbo and other hotel listing sites on their property. Every day the police are called for nuisances, disturbances and even fights at the pool deck from these guest. These guests dont care about the property and destroy it, leaving thrash in the hallways, knocking on everyone's door, peeing on the floor of the elevators, smoking marijuana out in the open filling up the hallways. Management is not on your side people. please head this warning. Management knows the hosts and they rent numerous apartments at this building sometimes even multiple on a single floor. Management does not care.

Wouldn't live here again

I wouldn't live here again. If you need something fixed you have to call repeatedly again and again and often it still isn't fixed. Also there are many other issues, noise level and roaches and more that I wouldn't live here for the high price.

Intracoastal Yacht Club is a facade

My property management at United Property Management / Intracoastal Yacht Club are extremely neglectful, ignorant and downright rude. I constantly have problems with them erroneously, grossly over exaggerated water bills, practically impossible to get in contact with anyone at the front desk or maintenance. Last year I renewed my lease and requested a work order (painting of balcony, walls, duct cleaning, mold and mildew care. I have to constantly call, leave messages and more often than not - take time off from work in order to stay home and have these matters rectified (but 98% of the time, no workers show up) This has been getting constantly worse over the last several years

Very convenient living place to live but some flaws

I have been living in this apt rental for 5 years now and I still enjoy it but it could be a lot better. It is very convenient to everything whether its the beach restaurants banks gyms bus stops everything is walking distance. As far as the unit it has a nice view bright natural lighting, the kitchen could definitely be updated because its kind of old looking. Theres always issues with my washer machine not spinning and it takes maintenance the next day to arrive I call them every 3 hours and they could never give me a time. Half of the office workers who handle leasing and paperwork are professional and the other half are just hired for looks to walk around in heels and short skirts looks like a club sometimes. In my opinion everything is great until theres a problem that needs to be taken care of and then the frustration sets in with the waiting around all day. There are three buildings in this complex and its a mixture of young old and families also pet friendly. And they also rent out units for spring breakers and vacation stays. Theres always an issue with the elevators and your always waiting forever. Theres Security at the front gate so you can't drive in without permission but you can definitely walk in without troubles. Also theres valet and a store inside one of the building which is a good perk. So, although I still enjoy the complex there is a couple things that need attention.

Do not live here if you want to use internet!

Intracoastal has a really stupid policy for internet service. They MAKE you use a company called Camco. There is no option to use one of the larger providers like Atlantic Broadband. I have lived here for 14 months and Camco has NEVER been able to keep service on for a full 30 days! I work at home and it creates a HUGE problem. When you call to complain they do not care at all. They never know when it will be fixed and they do not credit your bill. One time it was down for a FULL 5 DAYS! Intracoastal obviously receives a kickback from Camco and that is why it is your only choice!

Property Manager at Intracoastal Yacht Club, Responded To This Review

Sadly we signed a one year lease and have not been able to stay there for more than 3 nights. The place is smelly, filthy and totally infested with roaches. we are on the 5th floor, pool level and had to kill over 50/100 roaches on each of the 3 nights we stayed. This was after the place was supposed to have been bombed. They are used to complaints and although they are fully aware of problem, the manager refuses to go to see the dead roaches, but has the contractor go with you followed by a maid, who sweeps them up so the manager can say he's never seen any cockroaches, or had complaints. Roaches infested place

If I can rate as zero I would! Poop and Roaches, ALL THE WAY! Management lies to your face, they have rules but THEY ONLY APPLY WHEN THEY FEEL LIKE IT. The WORSE ELEVATORS ever! Don't be surprised if 2 or 3 are broken at the same time. Walls are thin, The WORSE place and staff I have ever had to deal with. DO NOT BOTHER COMPLAINING-Deaf management. The place is an absolute dump. The staff are some of the rudest people I have ever been around, there is trash everywhere, we live with cockroaches,... roaches crawl all over our counter tops no matter how much they spray, in the hallways there are bugs smooched on the walls, people leave their trash in the hallways, and the smell of trash in the hallways is over coming. The administration NEVER answers our calls, but when we write they ask you to talk to them ... liars !! All the nice reviews, are employees, is mandatory to write 20 reviews for the employees. nothing on the promos or brochures are true. Dirty, nasty, my kid got sick, coz the roaches and rats. Not a place for living or raising a family

This place was perfect until the administration decided to openly welcome short term rentals, even they liked the idea they are turning tower 1 to a short term rental building. For all the tenants they promised to terminate all the AIRBNB departments from tower 2 & 3 back in November 2018. It is April 2019 and you can see more short term vacationists on the property. These people has bring a noise environment, pets which defecate all over the property and not picking it up, crazy drivers over... the parking lot and taking residents spots with no action from the administration. Several residents are leaving because administration is doing nothing to keep peace and security in the property. Terrible Management

This place has been horrible. The only thing worse than the condition of the apartments is the hassle of the incompetent maintenance people. The security is a joke...every family in a 5 block radius comes to use the pool. You will have no luck getting a lounge on the weekends. And if you do, you can expect to constantly be bit by bed bug style bugs. Nice red dots all over my body each time I go to the pool. They also rent out to AirBnB, so you will have plenty of sleepless nights while... your neighbors party it up on their Tuesday vacation night. And when issues arise, and they most certainly will (it took one month to get the disgusting state of the apartment fixed) you will find out just how bad their management is. Idalio will shake your hand smiling all the way, and then go "accidently" raise your rent. He goes back on his word constantly, and blatantly lies. If you know it you stay away from it. Resident

Lived in this place for the past two years. Honestly at the beginning was a really nice place, quiet, for family, clean.Unfortunately during this last year the manager is changed and everything is changed. The bigger problem is that this is not only residential but a lot of vacationer come here every day. If during the day you work, maybe during the night you need to sleep: here is impossible! Party on the balcony every night disturb you and when call the security they need thirty minutes... before to come (if they come).otherwise prepare you and your family for a long night of insomnia.police is here every night. Dogs pee everywhere, in the aisles, inside the elevators, in the garages...everywhere. Trivial and banal security: check your identity when you arrive on your car but if you walking you can enter without any tipe of check. Everybody can come inside, use the pool, the gym, arrive at the door of your apartment with no problem. Package service: now they don’t accept medium or heavy packages. Prepare yourself to go in Hialeah (50min on the road) to pickup your package at UPS... so, you can not receive packages at your home address????????? Elevators are a nightmare. You risk having to wait a lot, 15/20 min before the elevator arrive at the floor. when finally arrive...is full... The people that work at the offices are really rude, without any attitude to work. Bottom Line

The Intracoastal Yacht Club offers a quiet, bayside experience with fully equipped, family-friendly apartments that include kitchens, washers and dryers, modern electronics (but no Wi-Fi), and great balconies. But beyond in-room cooking, meals are a bit of a hassle, as is the 15-minute walk to the beach. Also, these are condominiums, so don't expect traditional hotel service.

Oyster hotel review, this laid-back condo complex is full of long-term renters who like to barbecue, sip brews, and sun by the pool -- but it's a 15-minute walk to the beach..

The hotel company leases condos from the Intracoastal, so guests share the space with many permanent residents, including retirees, young professionals, college students, and families with young children. The wide demographic appears to coexist peacefully. The Sunday poolside barbecues are the hottest social events. When one resident spotted me photographing the pool, he asked if I was there to "take pictures of the nudie chicks." I said I hadn't seen any. "You should've come on Sunday, man," he replied. The building is comprised of many young, hip residents (as evidenced by the Tupac playing one floor below us and the flashy cars in the parking garage), but the real nightlife is a half-hour drive away in South Beach .

Families and seniors splash about in the full-size, statue-flanked pool. Others laze on the many chairs hidden behind planters that surround the red-brick deck. There's an on-site marina, but the beach is a 15-minute walk away.

Residences at Intracoastal Yacht Club feels more like a condo than a hotel. Guests must check in at a leasing office, which can be a long process. However, most of the staff is very attentive.

Offering on-site service geared toward long-term renters, there's not much consideration for short-term stays. To check in, guests have to go to the leasing office. During my stay, I got the impression that the leasing-office staff wasn't prepared; they asked to see my confirmation printout and made multiple calls to the office off-site to sort out the process. I even called the hotel myself, but no one picked up. Eventually, I called the emergency number and learned that the keys to my suite were in the guardhouse at the front of the property. Problem solved -- and it only took about an hour of rigmarole. Fortunately, the property manager was attentive from then on. She gave me her cell phone number and called back multiple times to make sure everything was fine: "If you need anything else, just call."

Fortunately, there's little service to request. The rooms are pretty well-designed to provide guests with anything they might need in advance.

Parking is included in the room rates.

Residences at Intracoastal Yacht Club is in a suburban area that's a 10-minute stroll to the closest restaurants and a 15-minute walk to the beach. Forget the nightlife; South Beach is a half-hour drive.

True to its name, the Intracoastal Yacht Club sits on the Intracoastal Waterway, on the western shore of suburban Sunny Isles. As such, the property overlooks plenty of fancy yachts, but guests don't see sand unless they make a 15-minute walk to the beach -- a long block east to Collins Avenue and several blocks north to the public entrance.

Dining options are limited, but the Intracoastal's rooms are equipped with full kitchens. Many guests said they do a great deal of food shopping at the on-site Marketplace convenience store. The strip malls along Collins Avenue do offer some possibilities. I enjoyed the Porterhouse Bar and Grill on 70th and Collins Avenue, half a mile away. It's been featured in the Miami Sun-Post's 2008 "Best of Food" article for its three-for-one happy hour. The portions are large, but dinner for two, including a few beers and a $38 12-ounce steak, runs about $90. Also nearby, there's the New San Telmo Argentinean Steak House , located by the Papa John's in the local strip mall on 169th and Collins. There, a Coke and a chicken Caesar salad runs about $19.

There isn't much doing in terms of nightlife that far up on Collins.

The beach is broad, clean, and less crowded than South Beach, but it's a 15-minute walk away.

The Intracoastal is on the Intracoastal Waterway, across the island from the beach, so it's a 15-minute walk to the sand -- at least the public access area. The views from the balconies take in the on-site piers where renters park their boats. At the 170th Street entrance, there were no vendors selling food or beach chairs available for rent. The pier just off 167th Street is worth a look. There's a restaurant called Pelican on the Pier, which is a fun place to grab a beer during the day (it's closed after the sun goes down).

The Intracoastal provides only one beach towel, found in the walk-in closet by the master bedroom.

The huge, well-maintained one- and two-bedroom apartments have private bedrooms, full kitchens, washers and dryers, and great balconies.

The rooms, or rather apartments are large and in charge. (I stayed in No. 806, a two-bedroom suite.) Spacious and comfortable, they're particularly well-suited to families or long-term guests; suites have full kitchens including a full-size fridge, cooking utensils, and even a dishwasher. Add to that a tasteful, conservative décor, and the place quickly feels like a home.

There's no Wi-Fi in the room, but I was able to hook into the complimentary wired Internet without a problem. There are two large flat-screen TVs -- a Sylvania in the living room and an LCD Emerson in the master bedroom. A Philips CD stereo system and VCR-DVD player round out the entertainment center, and there's also a modest clock radio in each of the bedrooms.

All rooms have a balcony, and the rooms on the north wing's higher floors overlook the Intracoastal's piers and the placid waterway below.

The bathrooms are immaculate, boasting unwrapped toilet paper and Joseph Abboud bath products. The shower is hot and has adequate pressure.

The resort features a stellar fitness center with plenty of equipment, decent business amenities, and a newly renovated spa.

The fitness center boasts a separate room for its nine cardio machines and a full complement of upper- and lower-body Cybex equipment. A pair of flat-screen TVs hangs from the ceiling in the cardio room, and there's an additional tube TV in the weight room.

The spa was under construction during my visit, so I didn't get a chance to check it out, but it is now open and offers steam and sauna rooms as well as massages.

The Intracoastal's free business center is well lit and laid out, and contains three computers, two printers, and a fax machine.

Although the website says the property contains a game room and sports club, I wasn't able to access those facilities during my stay. Management subsequently informed me that hotel guests are normally supplied with an electronic key to those areas, and can use them as freely as longer-term residents can.

Property has a dry cleaner and a DVD rental machine on the premises.

It can be a long walk to the beach for the little tykes, but overall, this is a decent place for kids. The in-room kitchens are a good way for families to save money by cooking in the suite.

A 15-minute walk for an adult isn't 15 minutes for a child -- the beach is a long way away. A car would help, but even then, children would have to cross busy Collins Avenue. Aside from this, though, families would generally fare well at the Intracoastal Yacht Club. The in-room kitchens and washers and dryers are a great way to save some cash (and hassle), and the private bedrooms are ideal for both parents and kids.

All-Inclusive / Food

There's an in-room kitchen and an on-site convenience store, but as far as dining out is concerned, guests are stuck with strip-mall restaurants..

The full kitchen, coupled with the on-site convenience store, allows for basic meal preparation in the rooms. Beyond that, the nearest restaurants are at the Town Center mall, a long block away on Collins Avenue. There, there's the Porterhouse Bar and Grill, but this is a rather pricey option (dinner for two is about $90). The food at the nearby Argentinean restaurant New San Telmo isn't bad, however, and a single meal costs about $19. Generally speaking, the area is sprinkled with chain stores such as Papa John's and Einstein Bagels, all located in strip malls; nearby offerings aren't too impressive.

The view was fantastic...if you're on an upper level floor. It all goes downhill from there. The rooms are decent, but very basic. You have to pay for parking AND most of the valet were rude and obnoxious. There was one valet who I refused to allow to touch my car, he verbally threatened the person I was traveling with! Then..the elevators. When we left, it took us 1.5 hours to leave bc the elevators are THAT SLOW! Two trips up and down in the elevators too 1.5 hours!!' Even though the view was great, stay away!

First off when we arrived the front door guys/valet guys didn't speak one ounce of English and were annoyed with us that we couldn't communicate in Spanish. There was no one in the front room to help us check in. When we went to pick up our car from valet we gave them the ticket the guy started to walk to get our car and the main valet man told him we had no money (I don't speak much Spanish but I understand enough to know he said this) so the guy just handed us our keys and pointed to our car! Then the hot tub was to close at 8pm but they told us to get out at 6:45 because the sun was down. WHO CLOSES THE POOL AND HOT TUB WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN? Kids were playing in the hot tub, one kid had a noodle, another was canon balling into the hot tub, there was a two year old hanging out in it.... there was no relaxing. The hot tub had a foamy film on top of it. My friend was attacked by lettuce and a man pulled out an old bottle of water before it hit us. Gross and rude... would not recommend!

NEVER rent in this building!!! If you're thinking of renting here is going to be the WORST decision ever, this place is a dump, garbage everywhere, it's unsafe, there's been a lot of robberies in cars and apartments, Anyone can walk to your door because there is no real security, the elevators are ALWAYS broken, more than 8 people even in this times with COVID-19 in the same elevator, no mask, everyone speaks Spanish not English and are very rude, lots of short time renters, you have to wait forever for maintenance, cockroaches etc. The manager never answers the only answer you're going to get is from here, the outside looks great and good location but wait till you live there and see...

Ana, I am very sorry to read this review. We actually do not have any more short term rentals offered in this building. IYC is now only for long term residents with annual leases. We do have a gated security gate with guard, so if people are being letting in please let the manager or security officer know so we can rectify the issue. Also, we have extermination that can come directly to your apartment, in addition to our monthly extermination we already do. The manager, Alex, is very happy to help you so please set up a time to meet him to discuss all issues you are having. Our goal is to keep residents happy in their home.

My big regret: I did not check Yelp first. The one-star reviews you see here are very accurate!

Lived here for two years, it's unsafe Anyone can come to your door. NONE of the valet guys speak English and they look at you like it's your fault you don't speak Spanish. I go to the grocery store return with groceries and there's NEVER a cart available for me to take my groceries upstairs, and the valet guys has no idea where they are. So tacky, besides the roaches the apartment is kinda old looking inside. DO NOT MOVE HERE!

Beautiful buildings and amazing view ! The neighbors nice a lot of family live here.. You need to wait to the elevator like 7 minutes anytime that you trying to use them...and it's bad!!! The valet good people doing great job!

We were very fortunate to have a view side of the ocean. This place has a modern touch to it. The only complaint I have is that at a certain time the a.c. gets turnt off so it gets pretty hot and humid. The shower that was shared could be more touched up. Towels definitely were sparse, needed more then they gave. But all in all, the place had most necessity there to use. I would use this place again if I had too. It's an amazing location, feels like it is in the middle of everything and it's easy to get to miami!!

I lived here for 1 year. I had an amazing view and nice apt with appliance and maintenance issues. At first the toilete flooded the entire place. I complained a few times and they gave me a new toilete. Some hot water issues in the beginning. Whatever problems i had maintenance came immediately to repair. I didn't like the pool area a lot of getto ppl there, kids splashing everywhere. No roaches! I saw like 3 and maintenance put something powerful right away and never again issues! I completed my lease, left my apt in excellent conditions no paint on walls, no holes, never drilled anything and Yes they returned my deposit promptly. I am currently applying to another United Property building, i hope maintenance is as fast as intracoastal. I liked my neighbors. Its location is 1 block to beach. I moved due to the increase of rent $1740 for 1bedro

I lived on 21st floor for a year... The view is breath-taking (which is why 2-star), but: Originally from california, I wasn't prepared for the level of disservice and rudeness at $1800/mo. The girls downstairs are ridiculously lazy. If you ask a question, its an inconvenience- regardless. The smells in the hallways from multicultural cooking make you breathe through your mouth.... On the 20th floor, tenants were allowed to blast music and sing from the top of their lungs at 2am multiple times, forcing me to call security.... And speaking of security, I got into it with one of them because he called me in the middle of dinner yelling at me for my guest parking in the garage. What he didn't investigate was whether the spot she was in was MY SPOT! I had to go down and confront him face-to-face. The ensuing interactions were like stare-downs at a boxing match weigh in photo op.... If you don't care about smells and bad service, eat your heart out!

Pros: Great location! *The complex is a short walk to the beach, as well as numerous restaurants, shops and services. *There is access to anything you might want or need within walking distance, so having a car is not mandatory. *It's relatively quiet in the mornings to enjoy coffee on the balcony (some construction noise and landscaping sounds, but no traffic noise) and evening revelries were not problematic (no loud, late night parties). Cons: From the outside, the complex can truthfully be described as a "luxury resort", but it stops there. *Our first impression was the parking garage, which is quite dirty and oh-so-very confusing (there is ZERO signage to help navigate...and heaven forbid, you ask anyone for directions or assistance (customer service in the entire Miami area leaves a great deal to be desired...these folks are basically just plain rude). *After finally FINDING our parking spot and searching out the elevators (which never seem to be all working at any time), the interior corridors all need a good coat of paint (although the floor tiling was nice...which makes me think the resort was indeed once very nice). *The apartment itself was adequate (no more-no less). It also definitely needed a coat of paint (note to management: if you use cheap flat paint, you get what you pay for). *We did not use many of the on-site amenities (spent more time at the beach than at the resort), but having the little market was convenient for a few things we forgot to bring or purchase at the nearby grocery store). The pool area was very nice, but absolutely ridiculous to close the pool at sunset! Plus, the security guy was a total jerk!! All-in-all, I'm not sure I'd enthusiastically recommend this place or stay here again. I think maintenance and management need to step-up their game.
