Carla and Bryan’s HoraLoca Wedding at Westshore Yacht Club

Between a family with long history at FSU and fierce ladies from South America, this was a wedding to remember! Carla and Bryan didn’t let a little bit of rain on their wedding day to stop them!

From masks, lights, and the flowing drinks the party went on all night. They even extended the party for extra time! Thanks to all day coverage, we were there until the end of the party!

Thanks to the quick thinking of the staff at Westshore Yacht Club, the wedding went off inside without a hitch while it stormed outside like no tomorrow. Just look at the photos and see how much fun this couple had on their wedding day. Definitely one to not forget!

Wedding with animals at the zoo, we have been featured, brad and jennifer's nyc engagement, brad and jennifer's nyc wedding, lauren & nicholas, saturday, december 5, 2020, lauren & nicholas’ wedding day was nothing short of magical. we love how beautiful, classy and elegant all their details tied in together when they tied the knot. not only did these newly weds get to spend their big day with close friends and family, they also brought their sweetest pup join them and us on their wedding journey and see all of their moments come to life.

The details are in the details. We take every little part of your uniquely personal items and make them look as amazing as we can. The final touches make all the difference from the colorful wedding flat lays to the frayed ribbon, there is something special in every wedding we do. We were so glad Lauren chose the lightest, wintery colors to go with our beautiful gray and blue slate details. As you can see, beautiful!

Terms and Conditions

All music on pool deck needs to end at 11pm (even if time is extended to 12am for event!). All wedding ceremonies & receptions combined that take place on the pool deck will require a $4 per person set up and clean up fee. A clearing of the pool deck fee of $750 may apply if all the furniture is requested to be removed from the pool deck. **There is NO glass allowed on the pool deck. (Health Code Policy) We do offer up-graded plastic glassware for events for additional; prices with different tiers. **

The Private Dining Room is located right next to the Bistro. It offers gorgeous waterfront views of the Westshore Yacht Club’s Marina. It can accommodate up to 30 people for a seated event and can be configured to accommodate intimate luncheons, business meetings & private dinners. • Room Capacity: 30 people Please review our attachment for more options.

The studio is located to the far right, opposite of the bistro on the second level. If offers a great space for exercise, yoga, and a bridal party so they may get ready for the big day. • Room Capacity: 20-30 people Please review our attachment for more options.

Bistro is The Bay Club’s main dining room, located on the upper level of the clubhouse. It offers magnificent views of Westshore Yacht Club’s Marina and the beautiful Tampa Bay. The Bistro can accommodate up to 100 guests for a seated function reception, depending on the type of event & function requirements. • Room Capacity: 70-100 people Please review our attachment for more options.

Their love story. 

Their love is giddy, sweet, and undeniable. When you spend time with these two, it is so evident how much they love and care for one another and how much love is poured into them by their families. It was truly something special to witness and I feel incredibly blessed to have photographed such a monumental day in their families lives.

Winter wedding at Westshore Yacht Club . 

Their venue was stunning, giving off total Italy – Tuscany vibes, and then paired with their decor and winter burgundy color palette. There are such gorgeous spots around the venue for portraits. Right in front to the sides are just stunning architecture. And then out back on the terrace, you have the bay and harbour for stunning sunset views. I also really loved the second story patio which overlooks the ceremony space from above. What an awesome angle for ceremony photos!

The Reception. 

Katie and RJ had so many fun moments throughout their reception. So thoughtfully planned and executed for an incredible party! There were shirts with their faces, party props, and the best surprise outfit change for the bride and her best sister girls! So much fun!

Westshore Yacht Club

Oasis Marinas at Westshore Yacht Club is located in historic South Tampa and within five miles of downtown Tampa, the Westshore District and St. Petersburg.

Westshore Yacht Club is a 149 slip marina on Old Tampa Bay that can accommodate vessels up to 108’ LOA.

The marina has a deep water depth of 12 feet. Additionally, our marina offers a variety of shore power options including: 1x20AMP, 1x30AMP, 2x30AMP, 1x50AMP, 2x50AMP, and 100 Phase 1. The marina has secured gated access for your convenience and peace of mind.

Westshore Yacht Club is loaded with amenities including a salon/spa, swimming pool, fitness center, and health club directly on the property for all your pampering needs. Grab a bite to eat at the on-site Tiki Bar or venture to one of the nearby restaurants including Hula Bay Club which boasts a taste of Hawaii on the waterfront and Salt Shack On The Bay, an open-air restaurant & bar on the water.

Just a short drive away you’ll find the Florida Aquarium, Tampa Bay History Center, and Glazer Children’s Museum so there is something for everyone to enjoy. Westshore is pet friendly! Romantic Champagne and Ivory South Tampa Waterfront Wedding | Westshore Yacht Club

Jenna and Robert's whimsical inspired waterfront South Tampa wedding featured a neutral and soft color palette.

“I love the romantic colors of blush, champagne and ivory, which reflected my ivory lace dress with champagne underlay, the bridesmaids matte sequin champagne dresses, our table settings, and flowers,” Jenna shared. “The men dressed in navy suits to compliment our colors and add to the nautical yacht club setting.”

The Tampa natives knew that the Bay area would be the perfect location for their nuptials and finding the perfect waterfront wedding venue in a familiar yacht club setting proved to be easier than one would expect.

“I wanted something elegant and timeless with a rustic, chic flair as the entire wedding was outdoors. We actually live in the Westshore Yacht Club , so to us, it was not just a venue, it is our home,” the bride explained. “We spend most of our weekends by the pool, watching sunsets over the marina, having dinner and drinks at the club and practicing yoga at the gym.  Ever since we met, I could picture myself walking down the aisle of the pool deck overlooking the yacht's in the marina and seeing my husband looking back at me. We hold so many valuable memories here. We wanted to share this with our closest friends and family.”

Wanting to keep her wedding day beauty look natural yet glamorous, the bride opted for rosy pink lips and full and show-stopping hair with loose curls created by Tampa Bay wedding hair and makeup team Michele Renee the Studio .

“ Michele Renee The Studio killed it!” Jenna gushed. “Not only for me, but the entire bridal party, my mother and flower girls looked fabulous! Michele truly is a hair and makeup goddess! She was also so fun and comforting to work with in the midst of some of the craziness before the wedding.”

We love when couples opt to have an “unplugged” ceremony, which is exactly what Jenna and Robert did. Leaving the photography to the experts, they hired Tampa wedding photographer Lifelong Photography Studios to capture the intimate moments and details of the day.

“I wanted to be able to look back on our photos and have them tell a story. I liked Lifelong Photography Studio 's style of photography being light and airy. When I met with the owner, Buffy, we instantly clicked, and I hired her on the spot,” Jenna shared. “She had a great personality that made us feel comfortable in front of the camera.  She also went to great lengths with us, holding it together on Rob's sailboat during hurricane force winds for the engagement shoot!”

Looking back on their most memorable moments of the evening, the bride shared that the groom surprised her with an unexpected tradition honoring her Jewish heritage.

“One of our most memorable moments of the evening was the impromptu chair dance, a Jewish tradition called the ‘Hora,’ which wasn’t in the original plans. Midway through the evening, Rob grabs my hand on the dance floor, where two large leather chairs awaited us, surrounded by all of his strongest friends. Next thing I knew we were hoisted up in the air holding on together, smiling, laughing and watching our guests sing and dance beneath us. It was a blast for everyone involved, but held special meaning to myself, and especially my Jewish family,” the bride reminisced.

What was your wedding hair and makeup inspiration? I knew I wanted to keep a natural look, yet look amazing! I wanted big, full hair and rosy pink lips.

How would you describe your theme/wedding design inspiration?  A whimsical and romantic inspired affair with rustic elements in a familiar yacht club setting: our backyard. I wanted something elegant and timeless with a rustic, chic flair as the entire wedding was outdoors.

What were your colors? Blush, champagne, ivory and navy. What did you look for in a wedding DJ? I wanted a DJ who would bring the energy and get everyone on the dance floor! I also wanted our name in lights for everyone to see displayed on the dance floor. We hired Grant Hemond & Associates . because of their reputable name within the industry. Michael Planas was our DJ, and he did an exceptional job!

What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples? With so many vendors to choose from, decisions to make and details to refine, start planning early and hire a wedding planner to help. Keeping organized, making to-do lists and achieving small tasks daily are the keys to successful planning so it doesn't become too overwhelming for yourself or your fiancé.
