Nominee Spotlight: Hanse 510

The Berret-Racoupeau-designed Hanse 460 turned heads as a 2022 Boat of the Year nominee with a fresh take on comfort and volume but with an eye better sailing performance. The second model in the new range designed by the Berret-Racoupeau team, the Hanse 510 is set to make its US premiere at the 2023 Annapolis Sailboat Show—again as a Boat of the Year contender. From what our editors saw at the model’s recent showing in Cannes, the 510 is expected to be a formidable opponent in its category during CW ’s Boat of the Year judging.

As for dockside demeanor, this new range’s calling card appears to be a marked chine on the bow and an inverted bow to optimize sailing performance. According to the designers, attention was also paid to refining the hull shape to maximize interior space. The result is an easy-on-the-eyes 51-footer that values smooth sailing and fast, comfortable cruising.

According to the builder, the Hanse 510 offers unrivalled volume in the 50-foot class, courtesy of an optimized hull design. Chines at the bow and aft further allow for a slim waterline, ensuring prime performance and easy sailing.

The 510 is equipped with a large, practical dinghy garage, capable of holding an inflated dinghy of up to 8.8 feet; and the optional, newly developed Hanse Smart Tender System makes launching that dinghy as simple as “driving a car out of the garage.” Convenience and style dominate the interior. Even the crew cabin gets in on the volume action, as it’s much more than the typical (read: small) crew sleeping space—it is a room worthy of staying a while. The options list is lengthy, and the boat can be highly customized to meet owners’ needs.

“Expectations were high after the outstandingly successful Hanse 460, which has been awarded European Yacht of the Year,” says Hanjo Runde, CEO of HanseYachts. “The new Hanse 510 is the logical and consistent further development of the new concept. With her impressive volume, tremendously dynamic lines and countless options, she is redefining the 50-foot class. It is an easy to sail and enormously spacious private retreat.” 

The key talking points of the 510 are numerous. A hydrodynamic design with a slender waterline promotes better hull speed. Chines fore and aft allow for a wider hull and more interior space. The reverse, wave-piercing bow makes the yacht pitch less in strong winds, while the pronounced bow chines keep the foredeck as dry as possible. On deck, the strategically placed helm position promotes total control of the Hanse 510 in any situation, with all navigation and performance information easily accessible, as well as all lines and even the electric winches on the port side. An optional hardtop shades the entire cockpit including the steering positions, and it blends seamlessly with the boat’s silhouette. It is also available in several colors and accommodates special lighting and solar panels. A fixed windscreen is another option. 

The novel dinghy garage is capable of holding a dinghy of up to 8.8 ft without having to deflate it. Combined with the optional automatic comfort stairs and the newly developed Hanse Smart Tender System, a single crew member can safely and comfortably deploy the dinghy, including engine, in minutes.

Another novelty on the Hanse 510 is the easy-to-open life raft storage space in the cockpit. Situated just in front of the companionway, it’s easily accessible and has space for standard 8-person life raft containers. An optional wet bar with grill and sink is hinged at the stern so as not to absorb precious cockpit space. 

The boat comes rigged with a self-tacking jib, and all lines run back to the cockpit for simple sail handling of the 710 sq. ft. mainsail and various headsails. The jib is 570 sq. ft. and the reacher measures 1,011 sq. ft., set up using a Solent-style rig on the custom bowsprit. Air draft of the deck-stepped mast is just over 77 feet above the waterline. Optional electric furling systems and winches make light work of handling halyards and sheets for the optimum in performance, short-handed sailing. The standard boat comes with a single, 80 hp saildrive, although an upgraded, optional 110 hp diesel is also available.

Within the interior, 14 well positioned opening hatches and eight opening windows and portholes permit maximum light and ventilation below deck. A long list of layout options are said to be available for the interior arrangement, from an “owner’s yacht” with a best-in-class sized master cabin, to a “charter yacht” with 10 berths, three bathrooms and an additional skipper cabin. The galley can be fully adapted to the owner’s needs as well: In addition to various refrigerator and freezer options, there is room for a wine cooler, dishwasher and a three-burner gas cooker plus an oven in the longitudinal pantry, which can be customized with a vast choice of colors and materials. Another option is a fully equipped navigation area with a forward-facing seat and a large salon table. The extensive options list, ranging from a washing machine in the utility room to flatscreens in the master cabin and salon, is crowned by the Flagship Package, which includes highest-end fabrics and materials, not to mention a “hidden” bar behind the folding backrest in the salon.

At its core, the Hanse 510 emphasizes a roomy cockpit, large but manageable sail plan, and overall performance that is easily managed by a couple, but perhaps what really sets the Hanse 510 apart from other sailboats in its class is the limitless level of customization the builder is willing to offer. The Hanse 510 also comes with a CE rating of A-12, so it is well suited for those who want to venture longer distances.

First look: Hanse 510 – voluminous new model

The new Hanse 510 is the second model in the popular brand's new style following in the footsteps of the Hanse 508

Product Overview

It doesn’t seem long since Hanse launched its 508, but it has now launched the Hanse 510 as the second model of the new style as it sets about updating its range in a design partnership with Berret-Racoupeau. The first boat to have received this update, the 460, won European Yacht of the Year last year.

At the heart of the design is creating as much volume as possible for accommodation and relaxation space, and improving sailing characteristics, particularly in light airs. To achieve this, the beam has been carried all the way aft, as well as gaining fuller bow sections, but the waterline has remained narrow thanks to hull chines, with a marked flare in the forward sections a foot or so above the waterline. The 510 is heavier than the 508, but sail area has also increased along with form stability, meaning the boat should still sail well.

Below decks, there are a vast number of layout options to suit everyone from liveaboard owners to charter companies. Add in the crew cabin and the double cabins forward, and the bunk cabin midships starboard and you’ve got a boat with six cabins and 11 berths, or more if you use the saloon. Do away with these, and you’ve got a cavernous sail locker forward, a large owner’s cabin with options for dressing tables and separate heads and shower compartments.

In the saloon, you can have extra showers in the heads compartments either side aft, or you can opt for a large saloon seating area and a nav station aft of the longitudinal galley to starboard, plus the two double cabins aft. If you don’t opt for the bunk cabin, this space can be a heads, heads and shower, or a utility room with washing machine and workspace.

Opt for the ‘flagship’ package and you’ll get pop-up flatscreen TVs in the master cabin and the saloon island unit for film nights, as well as a host of other add-ons. This unit also houses the radio and switch panels if you don’t have the chart table to starboard.

On deck, there are twin wheels aft, controlling a single rudder, with a non-sailing cockpit forward of these; the split table drops down to make lounging pads on either side. The boat also promises the largest tender garage in its class, accommodating up to a 2.7m solid-hulled RIB with outboard, which slides out on a nifty pull-out gantry/davit.

While there are options for overlapping genoas, the Hanse standard is a self-tacking jib for ease of handling, and furling offwind sails set from the optional moulded bowsprit.

This boat will clearly suit the charter market, given the number of berths it can accommodate, but in an owner layout, it’ll also make a very comfortable cruiser with respectable sailing characteristics for the Mediterranean, Europe and further afield.

First look: Hanse 510 – decidedly different style

The new Hanse 510 follows in the footsteps of the 460 and is another marker that Hanse is moving in a decidedly different direction

Product Overview

Hanse’s second model from the board of the Berret-Racoupeau design studio, the Hanse 510, sets the German yard firmly on a course towards a completely new range with a decidedly different style to existing models.

The launch of the Hanse 460 in 2022 marked a step change in design thinking and a whole new perspective of what’s possible to achieve in a boat of this size. Wide beam carried right aft and well forward provides supremely spacious accommodation, along with plenty of layout and styling options, yet we also found the 46 to be surprisingly rewarding to sail.

The wide beam confers excellent form stability, yet chines, along with a marked flare above the waterline aft, are optimised to reduce wetted surface area when the boat is not heeling much. This dramatically improves performance in light airs.

These factors contributed to the Hanse 460 winning the Family Cruiser division of the 2022 European Yacht of the Year awards and the Hanse 510 is borne of exactly the same philosophy. The difference between this boat and the previous Hanse 508 is dramatic and goes well beyond what the modest additional foot of hull length and six inches of maximum beam might suggest.

In particular, volume below decks on the new model looks to be in a different league to the earlier boats, while 22 opening hatches and ports maximise natural light and ventilation. Hanse says more than 100 layout combinations are possible, ranging from an owner’s yacht with a very generous master cabin, plus two large aft cabins, to a 10-berth charter yacht with three heads, and skipper’s accommodation.

The galley can either be U-shaped or longitudinal, there’s even space for a utility room with washer dryer, plus a forward-facing navstation. Other features include a tender garage with space for an inflated 2.7m dinghy.

Sail area is almost 10% greater than that of the 508. However, the new boat is almost two tonnes heavier, so the sail area/displacement ratio comes out at a very similar figure of 20, putting the boat firmly in the medium cruiser category. Nevertheless, the relatively easily driven, yet high stability, hull shape means those looking for a boat that will sail well in lighter conditions and offer reassurance in stronger winds shouldn’t be disappointed.

Hanse 510 : a sailing boat with more than 100 possible configurations

After the innovative hanse 460, awarded sailboat of the year, hanse yacht launches its second design by berret-racoupeau. the hanse 510 offers a hull optimized for performance and interior design. this new model will seduce both private owners and charter agencies, optimized performance.

The Hanse 510 is the second model in the new range designed by the Berret-Racoupeau design office, after the Hanse 460, launched in 2022. It has a hull with a marked chine on the bow, and an inverted bow to optimize sailing performance. The designers also worked on the hull shape to gain interior space. Thus, the beam is 4.91 m.

Bathing platform and large annex garage

The cockpit is equipped with a double wheelhouse at the stern, with removable seats at the transom. All maneuvers are performed at the various winches positioned nearby. On the bow, two L-shaped squares with two tables allow for outdoor relaxation. An optional windscreen surrounds the roof and an optional hard-top can be installed for maximum protection. It can also receive solar panels for even more autonomy.

At the stern, the transom unfolds into a bathing platform and reveals a tender garage, described by the shipyard as the largest in the 50-foot class. It can accommodate a 2.7 m semi-rigid tender, and as an option, the new Smart Tender System, a lifting arm that facilitates launching.

Another new feature is the easy-to-open liferaft storage area just in front of the companionway. An optional wetbar with barbecue and sink can be installed on the rear of the cockpit.

A sail plan to enjoy great sailing

The Hanse 510 adopts a generous sail plan, 128 m2 upwind and 255 m2 downwind. As standard, the gennaker is used as a tack for a gennaker or any other downwind sail. The boat has a self-tacking jib, and a second furler for a genoa. As an option, the mainsail and jib winches can be electric.

An interior design that can be customized according to the program

The interior is bright thanks to the 14 opening panels and 8 opening portholes that also ensure good ventilation. Numerous options make it possible to personalize the boat. The shipyard offers more than 100 different layout combinations. In the owner's version, you can opt for a large master cabin with an en suite bathroom and two aft cabins. In the charter version, the Hanse 510 offers up to 10 berths and three bathrooms with an additional skipper cabin.

The kitchen also adapts to the needs of the owners, positioned in a U shape or lengthwise. In addition to various refrigerator and freezer options, there is a wine cellar, dishwasher, three-burner gas stove and oven. The fully equipped chart table has a seat facing the step, while the port side saloon offers a large table with facing benches.

Many options to customize your boat

Other options include a washing machine in the laundry room, flat screens in the main cabin and salon, or the Flagship package with exclusive fabrics and materials and a hidden bar in the salon's central island.

Job Description and Summary: In this position you will work alongside a team of supportive and experienced marine industry professionals. Your primary role will be fiberglass and gel-coat repair work on sailboats and powerboats. The fiberglass work will include everything from small parts repair to structural repair and rebuilds. The gelcoat work will be similarly inclusive and will also involve spaying hull bottoms and topsides with boat bottom paint and gelcoat.

Job Description and Summary: In this position you will work alongside a team of supportive and experienced marine industry professionals. Your primary role will be engine maintenance and repairs for both gas and diesel engine systems as well as service and repair work on a variety of other boat system. A large part of this position will include troubleshooting, engine and drive preventative maintenance, emergency repairs at the yard or at the location of the boat needing service. You will be working on inboard and outboard systems and interacting and communicating with our boaters, so a focus on customer service is an important skill. Certification not initial required but is a plus.

He participated in many regattas on both coasts in both small and large boats. He owned a Sabre for many years which he cruised from Annapolis to Maine. Cameron also has experience with power boats ranging from center consoles though larger cruisers.

Cameron has been working with clients preparing for Bermuda races, extensive blue water cruising, and many that are new to boating.

Rick Fleig Rick grew up on Long Island spending many years sailing on the Sound in everything from J/22′s to J/105′s, Custom C&C 41′s and many other boats, competing in all the major Northeast events. This experience and passion for sailing led him on a path to sail in the 1987 America’s Cup in Perth, Australia with both the Courageous and USA Syndicates. He has sailed in many major international regattas, including the Swan World Championships in Sardinia, the World 6 Meter Championships in Portofino, Italy, and several Newport Bermuda races.

Rick combines his extensive sailing background with both the marine and sports industry, having worked as a regional sales manager at SunfishLaser and Vanguard Sailboats, and prior to that as a regional sales representative with sporting goods giant Nike. He believes that building relationships and understanding the clients’ needs are essential in helping customers have a great experience with their boats. He works out of the McMichael Yacht Broker’s Newport office at the Newport Shipyard.

Rick resides in Portsmouth, RI, with his family, having fallen in love with the Newport area during his many sailing events there. He recently retired as the director/coach of the Portsmouth High School Sailing Team after many years, and along with his wife, Carline, now enjoys his time proudly following their youngest son, Tyler, who just finished his second year at the US Naval Academy. Tyler is a very accomplished sailor himself, and a member of the nationally ranked USNA dinghy sailing team. Rick is a member of Sail Newport and can be seen racing many weeknights and weekends in all the local events in a variety of boats.

Michael Beers Michael is a licensed captain and active racer who began his sailing career in Boston on the Charles River. As someone who did not grow up sailing, he especially enjoys introducing new boaters to the sport. Michael has a proven track record of working tirelessly for his clients, and enjoys working directly with buyers to identify the best possible “next boat” from the many options available. He is an active racer, recently racing in the J/70 fleet at Quantum Key West Race Week and aboard the J/130 Dragonly in the 2012 Newport Bermuda Race.

Prior to joining McMichael in 2007, he captained the 80′ schooner Adirondack II in Newport, RI and was an instructor at Offshore Sailing. In his free time, he enjoys cruising his Sabre.

Todd Williams Todd started sailing on his family’s cruising boat before his memory serves. His love of racing was cultivated through sailing Blue Jays and Lasers in Pequot Yacht Club’s junior program.  Since then he has actively raced in the J105 fleet, J109 fleet, and helped form the J122 class. He also developed and helped launch the LIS IRC 35 class.  Todd is an experienced distance sailor and was involved with winning the Vineyard race class and IRC overall aboard the J122 Partnership.  

Todd enjoys using his extensive knowledge of boating to find his clients the boat that best suits their needs.  He is dedicated to providing the best possible service to all his customers.  Todd can often be found racing with clients and helping them build their racing programs. Through the years, he has custom built many J/Boats, Alerions, and MJM power boats for clients, many of whom he now considers personal friends.

During the winter season you may spot the Williams family on the slopes at Okemo where they have a ski house.

Andy Kaplan Starting October 4, Andrew (Andy) Kaplan has joined the brokerage team at McMichael Yacht Yards & Brokers. The addition increases the McMichael roster to seven full-time yacht brokers serving customers up and down the east coast with a concentration on the Long Island Sound and Narragansett Bay. He will work primarily out of the McMichael Mamaroneck, NY, office as well as Martha’s Vineyard.

“Andy is bringing to McMichael a lifetime of experience in sail and power boating with a keen focus in the sailboat racing world,” said McMichael President Steve Leicht. “His broad familiarity with offshore and one-design sailboats combined with his powerboating experience makes him an ideal addition to our brokerage team.”

Kaplan spent the majority of his career in finance including helping create the Quattro Global Capital, LLC where he was a principal and head of operation and marketing. “I believe that my financial sales and management experience is a great asset as I transition to yacht brokerage,” noted Kaplan. “While they are different industries, to succeed in either you need similar disciplines when matching buyers with the right product. That’s what creates and maintains long term customer relationships.”

Kaplan grew-up in Mamaroneck and has been a member of the Larchmont Yacht Club for over 30 years where he has been active in the Club’s leadership. He lives in New Rochelle, NY, and on Martha’s Vineyard, MA.

Hanse 510 Details

The renowned builder of quality sailboats, Hanse Yachts , continues to offer yachts that span the needs of the cruising community. The company’s current fleet includes 10 sailboats that range from the 315, a 31-footer that is a great introduction to sailboat cruising, up to the flagship of the builder’s line, the Hanse 675, a 70-foot yacht that provides all of the amenities one would expect on a luxury yacht capable of going anywhere.

Now, Hanse adds yet another yacht to its latest model lineup. The exciting new Hanse 510 continues the design philosophy at Hanse to produce sailing yachts that are both easy to sail and offer fast cruising potential to their crew who want to enjoy quality time on the water.

The new yacht has a LOA of 52.5 feet and a waterline length of 47.3 feet, which puts it in the upper end of the current Hanse line, just behind the Hanse 548 in terms of size and suitability for sailing whatever the owner’s cruising plans.

As with all Hanse sailing yachts, it has a modern hull shape incorporating the latest in performance features to ensure a dry boat that is both easy to sail yet faster than a traditional, sluggish cruiser. This includes chines in the bow and stern sections of the hull to increase interior volume to the yacht, while a slimmer waterline beam provides higher speed potential to take advantage of good sailing conditions. 

The boat also sports a reverse-shaped bow to reduce pitching motion at sea. Unlike a conventional bow that goes into a wave and increases its buoyancy as it lifts then falls from wave to wave, the reverse shape eliminates that pitching motion, which is both uncomfortable and slows down forward progress.

The boat’s design is from the La Rochelle, France-based firm of Berret-Racoupeau, which intelligently blends goods sailing performance with a thoroughly modern interior. Hanse overlays this design with its expertise in offering almost unheard-of levels of customization to satisfy any individual preferences.

At its core, the Hanse 510 emphasizes a roomy cockpit, large but manageable sail plan, and overall performance that is easily managed by a couple.

The boat comes rigged with a self-tacking jib and all lines run back to the cockpit for simple sail handling the 710sq ft mainsail and various headsails. The jib is 570sq ft and the reacher measures 1,011sq ft, set up using a Solent-style rig on the custom bowsprit. Air draft of the deck-stepped mast is just over 77 feet above the waterline. Optional electric furling systems and winches make light work of handling halyards and sheets for the optimum in performance, short handed sailing. 

Not to be missed and what really sets the Hanse 510 apart from other sailboats in its class is the amazing level of customization offered by the company. The boat can be ordered with a number of options and choices for hull colors, interior layouts, fabrics, interior and exterior trim and finishes, even flooring and furniture surfaces. Beginning with a layout of one master stateroom with two guest staterooms, subsequent layout options include configurations all the way up to a charter model with 10 berths and a separate skipper’s cabin.

Fourteen opening hatches and eight windows and ports ensure lots of interior light and ventilation of the contemporary interior. 

Following this Hanse theme of utmost personalization, the hull is available in a variety of gelcoat, painted, and painted metallic finishes. In addition, one can customize each yacht to be the perfect interpretation of owner inclinations, including nine choices for finished cockpit seating, from natural teak to eight variations of synthetic materials.

The standard boat comes with a single, 80hp saildrive, although an upgraded, optional 110hp diesel is also available. The specs for the standard Hanse 510 include a displacement of 36,500lbs, a beam of 16.1 feet, and there are two keels available for either 6.6-foot draft or the deeper, more performance-oriented 7.12-foot draft of the medium L-shaped iron keel.

The Hanse 510 comes with a unique dinghy garage built into the transom that can house up to an 8.8-foot inflatable tender, tucked into a dedicated space under the cockpit. To further extend the utility of this cruising feature, one can opt for the optional Smart Tender System, a boom mechanism that provides single person handling to launch and retrieve the dinghy from the stern platform of the boat.

The extensive list of options includes a fixed hardtop over the cockpit, solar panels, and retractable bow and stern thrusters. Even the swim platform is more of a full-size bathing and sunning platform than simply a way to get out of the water after a relaxing swim.

The Hanse 510 comes with a CE rating of A-12, so it is well suited for those who want to venture to distant horizons. The standard water tankage is 120 gallons, and the fuel capacity is 53 gallons, ideal for most coastal cruising.

Offered in three, four, and five staterooms, the Hanse 510 could be your perfect getaway, an ideal cruiser for a couple, a family, and a good choice for larger charter parties who consider life on the water to be a group activity.

Sunrise Yachts, a luxury yacht building company which is based in Turkey, has been made a main sponsor of next year’s 2011 Moscow International Boat Show (MIBS). The four-day Russian yacht show event is currently scheduled to run from April 14-17 at the Moscow’s Crocus exhibition centre.

MIBS is organised by the ITE Group and it is one of Russia’s leading boat shows and is an internationally recognised superyacht event. The show covering everything from small parts and accessories to large superyacht with over 9,000 people and 178 exhibitors attended the last year show.

The Paolo Scanu-designed Sunrise 45 yacht is an ocean-going cruising yacht that was released in 2009 to much acclaim at this was the group’s first-ever model.

Sunrise Yachts was founded in 2007 by the German entrepreneur Herbert P Baum along with the French-British yacht builder Guillaume Roché. The luxury yacht group is based in Antalya, Turkey and utilises a 10,000sq m shipyard facility. Sunrise has two sheds measuring 100m (328ft) x 16m (53ft), as well as a 70m (230ft) x 16m (53ft) fully acclimatized paint shed that can accommodate new-build and refit projects up to 65m (213ft) in length and 1,200 tonnes displacement.

Along each side of the yacht-building facility, space is available for long-term sub-contractors with the latest equipment and logistics capabilities, along with air-conditioned storage, ventilation and extraction plants. The shipyard is organized as an “assembler,” based loosely on the car industry’s model, with a small, yet powerful project management team charged with running all the in-house long-term sub-contractors.

Amadeus Description

Built by the famous Dynamique Yachts shipyard, and having undergone a total refit in 2018, S/Y Amadeus was designed to please the most demanding of yachtsmen. Built for smooth sailing, this elegant cutter rigged sloop has a sleek hull design, comfortably reaching top speeds of 12 knots and ensuring excellent sailing performance. S/Y Amadeus has just undergone this past winter (2018) a major refit such as total repaint top to bottom, new rigging (BSI Denmark), Novourania with new Evinrude 75hp outboard, Splash pool, new Bimini/Sprayhood/Awnings, new exterior fabrics and many other enhancements. In 2016 new “North Sails” were placed onboard. The yacht is maintained in excellent condition with a five-star crew year round. Her generous uncluttered teak deck offers plenty of space for sunbathing. The spacious and unique outdoor saloon has two tables seating upto 12 guests and is a perfect setting for outdoor dining and entertainment. Thanks to a special canopy and roll-up windows, the deck saloon has the added attraction that it can be fully enclosed, making it ideal for all weather conditions. Her forward area includes a splash pool and sun bathing area which can also be shaded with a removable awning. From the cockpit, a stairway leads to the light-filled spacious saloon offering ample seating, ideal for relaxing or enjoying a drink from the bar, and offers a formal dining area. This area also includes a LCD TV, entertainment center, ipod dock station, playstation, and is ideal for indoor activities. She can accommodate 10-12 guests in one full width master stateroom, two double bedded cabins each having one extra single bed and two twin bedded cabins which can be easily converted to double beds (upon request), thus, making her the only 5 double bedded sailboat in the Greek market. She also has a nice selection of toys which include water ski (adult and children), tubes, inflatable canoes, wakeboard, fishing rod and snorkeling gear.

CAPTAIN - Harry Fotopoulos Captain Harry is a graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy and holds a Captain Class A’ Diploma. He also holds a Canadian Commercial Pilot license class B, sailing and speedboat license. He has over 15 years of experience onboard many types of Charter Yachts. He holds Certificates in GMDSS, Fire Fighting & First Aid, Personal Safety, Life Saving, and Ship Security. He has a great knowledge of the Greek islands and will navigate guests to remarkable destinations. During his one season on board he showed great leadership skills and received positive feedback from all guests. He is calm yet very outgoing and speaks very good English. DECKHAND - Konstantinos Santas CHIEF STEWARDESS - Mirella Davint Mirella has 8+ years of experience as a stewardess onboard charter and private yachts. She has a very pleasant personality and she aims to accommodate her guests to the fullest. Comments received from previous guests are memorable. This will be Mirella’s eighth season onboard. Mirella speaks English and she is 38 years old. ENGINEER - Stelios Mandos Stelios holds an Engineer Class B’ Diploma from the Greek Merchant Marine Academy as well as a Sailor’s License. He has over 15 years of experience onboard Ocean-Going Vessels and Charter Yachts. His hobbies include spearfishing and sailing. He speaks good English. Stelios is 45 years old, married with two children. CHEF - Thanasis Kiritsis Thanasis is 39 years old and has worked as a chef for more than 20 years in numerous hotels restaurants, yachts and resorts including owning his own pastry shop / bakery for 5 years. Thanasis looks forward to welcoming his guests on board and introducing them to his culinary world. He speaks good English and Greek. He is a young chef full of energy, skills and passion towards his job. We are confident that he will serve his guests unforgettable flavors. ASSISTANT STEWARDESS - Anastasia Yurash Anastasia is 31 years old and has been in the yachting industry since 2021. Her working experience includes 7 years as a housekeeper and assistant stewardess. Anastasia speaks very good English. One of Anastasia’s strongest attributes is her appetite for work. She is also very sociable, welcoming and looks forward to having guests on board S/Y Amadeus. Her hobbies include Latin dancing, snowboard and yoga.

Accomodation is offered for up to 12 guests in 5 spacious cabins: the bow master cabin on AMADEUS features a double bed, vanity unit and generous storage facilities, as well as audio/visual entertainment. The en-suite bath includes a shower and separate large bath. Two double cabins with additional single bunks situated forward. Two twin cabins situated aft. All cabins with en suite facilities and audio/visual entertainment. Crew of 5 in separate quarters.

A General Description of Sailing Yacht AMADEUS

AMADEUS was previously registered as project/yacht name Amadeus 1er. This 33 metre (109 ft) luxury yacht was built by Dynamique Yachts in 1991. Sailing Yacht AMADEUS is a well proportioned superyacht. The yacht is a modern sloop with a cutter rig. The naval architecture office whom authored the design work on this ship was Philippe Briand. Luxury yacht AMADEUS is a quality yacht that is able to accommodate as many as 12 guests on board and has a total of 5 crew members.

Sailing yacht AMADEUS was built by the famous Dynamique Yachts shipyard .The yacht features superb sailing characteristics which are complimented by her spacious interior and abundant deck space. Sailing sloop AMADEUS can accommodate 10 passengers in five cabins. With one large master stateroom and four additional cabins which are all air conditioned and have en suite bathrooms. She also has two separate salons and a full dining room. The aft deck is fully covered with seating. The fore deck has an unique pool on deck and swimming in the sea is made accessible by a large swim aft platform.

The Construction & Naval Architecture relating to Luxury Yacht AMADEUS

Philippe Briand was the naval architect firm involved in the formal nautical design work for AMADEUS. Also the company Philippe Briand skillfully collaborated on this undertaking. In 1991 she was actually launched to triumph in Marans and following sea trials and final completion was afterwards passed on to the yacht owner. Dynamique Yachts completed their new build sailing yacht in France. A reasonable proportion is brought about with a maximum beam (width) of 7.5 metres / 24.6 feet. With a 3.6m (11.8ft) draught (maximum depth) she is reasonably deep. The material composite was used in the building of the hull of the sailing yacht. Her superstructure above deck is built with the use of composite. Over the deck of AMADEUS she is 32.7 (107.3 ft) in length. In 2004 extra refitting and modernisation was also finished.

Engines & Speed For S/Y AMADEUS:

She is driven by twin screw propellers. The main engine of the ship gives 375 horse power (or 276 kilowatts). She is equiped with 2 engines. The combined thrust for the boat is therefore 750 HP / 552 KW.

Bestowing bedding for a maximum of 12 yacht guests sleeping aboard, the AMADEUS accommodates them in style. Normally the vessel requires approximately 5 professional crewmembers to run.

Her master cabin features a walk around king bed, desk/vanity, and en-suite bathroom. Additionally, there are two guest cabins each with a queen bed convertible to two twins, and two guest cabins each with a queen bed and twin bed. Each guest cabin has an en-suite.

Her main salon has a spacious, contoured conversational area, along with a large, flatscreen T.V. The aft deck features al fresco dining with Bimini top. Up on deck there are sun pads and a splash pool for you and your guests to enjoy.

Watersports offered include a 15 foot tender with 75hp engine, water skis for adults and children, tube, wakeboard, kayak, fishing gear, snorkeling gear, and rendezvous diving.

Sailing yacht AMADEUS is a stunning 110 ft yacht available for charter in Greece. With a clean, spacious teak deck and a unique outdoor saloon that can seat up to 12 guests across two tables, it’s the perfect place for outdoor dining and entertainment. The deck saloon can also be enclosed with a special canopy and roll-up windows, making it suitable for use in all weather conditions. At the front of the boat, there’s a splash pool and sunbathing area with a removable awning for shade.

Inside the boat, a staircase from the cockpit leads to a well-lit and roomy saloon area with plenty of seating, including a formal dining area, bar, LCD TV, entertainment center, iPod dock station, and Playstation. Sailing Yacht AMADEUS can accommodate 10-12 guests in five large cabins, including a full-width master stateroom and two double cabins, each with an extra single bed. The two twin cabins can also be converted to doubles upon request, making her the only sailboat on the Greek market with five double beds.

To add to the fun, sailing yacht AMADEUS also comes with a range of water toys, including adult and children’s water skis, tubes, inflatable canoes, wakeboard, fishing rod, and snorkeling gear. She was built by Dynamique Yachts in 1996 and underwent a refit in 2014/2018.

Accomodation is offered for 10 -12 guests in 5 spacious cabins: Master cabin forward features a double bed, vanity unit and generous storage facilities, as well as audio/visual entertainment. The en-suite includess a large bath tub, shower and separate WC. Two identical double cabins with additional single bunks situated forward. Two identical double cabins situated aft which can be convertible to twins. (Total 5 double beds) All cabins with en suite facilities and audio/visual entertainment.

A professional crew of 5-6 members are accommodated in separate quarters.

Charter the AMADEUS

AMADEUS is a 110-foot sailing yacht that can accommodate ten to twelve passengers in five staterooms as follows: a spacious Owner’s stateroom with a double bed, a vanity and an entertainment unit including TV, DVD and music system; two cabins with a double bed and an additional single bed; two cabins with two twin beds each. All staterooms have en suite bathrooms, a TV, DVD and CD player. There are two separate salons onboard as well as a full dining room. The aft deck is fully covered and has seating for all guests to dine in the open air. Forward of the cockpit is a lovely cushioned area for sunning and an unusual pool is found in the fore of the yacht. Swimming in the sea is made accessible by the large swim aft platform.
