Club Renovations

Building on perfection.

In 2020 Bay Harbor Yacht Club embarked on an expansive $13 million project to renovate and refurbish our facilities, amenities, and services. The project was completed in June 2021, and we are proud to introduce our newly redesigned Club. Explore the transformation here.

The Club's formal dining venue has been expanded and reimagined. The Bay View Dining Room offers members a fresh and diverse menu and abundant beverage options in an elegant, airy, and atmospheric setting with stunning views of Lake Michigan.The adjacent Harbor View Bar and Lounge additionally provides members with the opportunity to enjoy a cocktail or appetizer in a cozy setting.

The Grille Room

New amenity.

Previously the Club's fitness center, this space has been transformed into a beautiful year-round dining experience for members. The Grille Room is a lively gathering spot and offers a vast menu featuring classic casual, upscale fare including hamburgers and wings, as well as small plates, salads, steaks and seafood. Comfortable indoor as well as outdoor seating underneath the covered terrace ensures an excellent dining experience throughout the year.

Quarter Deck

With the expansion of the Gazebo Bar and addition of firepits and soft seating, the Quarter Deck experience is an unforgettable dining experience.

Wellness Center

The Wellness Center at Bay Harbor Yacht Club has been expanded and transformed into a stunning and ample space for fitness and wellness. Members enjoy a 7,500 square foot fitness area, group exercise room, personal training services, Peloton bike room, golf simulator and more.

Aquatics Center

Make a big splash at our brand new Aquatics Center. Situated to the east side of the clubhouse and overlooking Bay Harbor Lake, members can choose to relax in the summer heat in a comfortable chaise lounge or elevate their heartrate by swimming laps in the competition length lap pool. The heated whirlpool is a welcome addition in the cooler months. Junior members enjoy their own splash pad, separate from the main pool area.

Cruising Catamaran

Lagoon 380 catamaran.

Perfect for day sailing in the San Diego area with a large group, a weekend excursion to Catalina Island, or extended trips up and down the California coast, the Lagoon 380 offers ample living space and comfort for trips of any length. This luxurious yacht offers a spacious layout featuring a round cockpit with a table and a bimini to provide plenty of shade while in the sun for long periods of time. The large side decks and trampoline provide plenty of additional space on deck, and the interior salon offers a panoramic view of the horizon through the windows and sliding glass door. The galley is conveniently located between the cockpit and salon through the sliding glass door and is equipped with full amenities. A luxurious owner’s suite is featured on one hull with a queen size bed, desk with bookshelf, hanging closet, and private full-sized head with a separate enclosed shower. The other hull provides two double berths separated by another head with a shower. Additional sleeping space is provided by the convertible dinette in the salon.

Cruising Catamaran Instruction

If you don’t yet have experience sailing catamarans, one our sailing instructors will accompany you on the first day of your trip, providing you with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to start sailing the Lagoon 380. By the end of the instruction period, you will be qualified to sail catamarans 30-50 feet in length. You won’t have to hire an instructor or captain once you take that sailing vacation you’ve always dreamed of in the Caribbean or any other exotic location – you will already have the experience required in order to sail catamarans on your own! Instructors are paid $25 per hour for the 8-hour Cruising Catamaran instruction for a maximum of 2 students at a time.

3 Day Minimum Rental Required  July 1 through September 30 

Catamaran experience required for bareboat chartering.

No catamaran experience? Skippers are available for $25 per hour .
