Guide to Viewing Disney Fireworks Outside the Parks

' src=

Here in Orlando, we have “The Most Magical Place on Earth” in our backyard. Walt Disney World is a magical place, and visiting such a place with our loved ones is all the more enchanting. Yet you don't need to enter the theme parks to enjoy a memorable date with your honey. You can still make magical memories while enjoying a Disney fireworks finale, outside of the theme parks.

We've created this list of places where you can view the fireworks without having to enter the parks , categorized by each theme park/fireworks show. Keep in mind, access to some of these locations may be restricted based on occupancy, and Disney's policies are subject to change without notice.

During busy seasons we've observed Disney security at the resorts being very strict about needing a confirmed reservation to park at the resorts. And you can bet during major holidays like Christmastime at Disney , New Year's Eve at Disney , and 4th of July access is completely restricted.

We hope this guide helps you and your loved one have an enchanting, and affordable, evening at Walt Disney World!

Editor's note: This post was originally published in 2017 and is updated regularly.

Where to View Disney Fireworks Outside the Parks

Magic kingdom area – happily ever after.

Fireworks begin nightly around 9pm – check schedule Where to view:  Disney resort hotel restaurants, Disney's Polynesian Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort, Disney's Contemporary Resort

Magic Kingdom’s fireworks are the most popular in Walt Disney World. The most visited theme park in the world hosts a nightly fireworks show called “Disney Enchantment”. This fireworks show includes new technology that makes for a visually stunning experience. While many of the effects are best seen inside the park, you can still enjoy a lovely evening in the Magic Kingdom resorts area, at multiple viewing spots.

On April 3, 2023 the beloved “Happily Ever After” fireworks show returns to Magic Kingdom. And you can see Magic Kingdom's fireworks at nearby resorts, without a theme park ticket.

  • Disney's Polynesian Village Resort
  • Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa
  • Disney's Contemporary Resort

Magic Kingdom’s nightly fireworks usually begin at 9pm, but check the schedule to be sure.

Please note that parking at Disney’s resort hotels is officially for guests with hotel and dining reservations only. Most nights you can use the hotel parking lot after showing photo identification and explaining that you’re heading to the lounge or restaurant for food and drink. But, it is best to have a confirmed dining reservation that you're able to show to Disney Security alongside your photo identification.

“Disney Enchantment” – Magic Kingdom After Hours

The nighttime fireworks spectacular, “Enchantment” will return exclusively to Disney After Hours events at Magic Kingdom Park. On these event nights you'll be able to see “Happily Ever After” from the above mentioned locations outside the park, PLUS a second fireworks show at a much later time.

The showtime of “Disney Enchantment” during the Disney After Hours event has not yet been published, so stay tuned.

EPCOT area – Luminous: The Symphony of Us

Fireworks begin at 9pm or 9:30pm check schedule Where to view: Disney's Boardwalk Resort

EPCOT's longest-running fireworks show, “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth,” celebrated its last performance in September of 2019. And after multiple replacements, Luminous: The Symphony of Us is the new EPCOT Fireworks show that seems to finally be the right match.

This dazzling new show is a treat for Disney fans. Luminous: The Symphony of Us, blends original storyteller with some of Disney's most loved songs, and all new visual elements. This new show lasts about 17 minutes, and the fireworks keep coming without any major lulls throughout the show. You will have a few brief moments without any fireworks which can be frustrating when you're watching from afar, just be sure to stick around for the finale!

DISNEY'S BOARDWALK RESORT

Along the Boardwalk, enjoy a wide variety of dining locations, lounges, sweet shops, and even a few midway games. During non-peak times, you should be able to park at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort without a dining reservation, but availability isn't guaranteed. Make a dining reservation if you want to play it safe. Big River Grille and Brewing Works is usually easy to get into and is nice for a casual, relaxing meal.

For the best view of the fireworks, head toward Jellyrolls and Atlantic Dance Hall. Or you can walk towards the former ESPN Club, continuing almost to Disney’s Beach Club Resort. There is a bridge that connects the Boardwalk and Beach Club hotels. On this bridge, you’ll catch a pretty good view of the show, but it does get crowded sometimes.

Another option is the bridge between the BoardWalk Hotel and the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin. Depending on show times, you may be able to view each park's fireworks all around the same time from this one spot. Plus, the Swan and Dolphin is a visually unique backdrop.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios area – two shows

Wonderful World of Animation Nightly show at 9:00 p.m.

Fantasmic Nightly show at 9:00 p.m. (most nights) Where to view: Disney's Boardwalk, Beach Club, and Yacht Club Resorts, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort

Hooray for Hollywood! This park is home to two nighttime spectaculars. For many Disney fans, Fantasmic is the ultimate nighttime spectacular at Disney World. Fireworks are not constant during this show, they take on a supporting role compared to the theatrics and performances.

If you view Fantasmic outside of the parks be prepared for lots of lulls. Thankfully there is a second, smaller nighttime show that usually performs at the same time as Fantasmic.

Combining fireworks with projection technology and other effects, this show is enveloping when viewed inside the parks but still brings excitement to those viewing from outside the park. There aren't as many fireworks in the Wonderful World of Animation as compared to the other parks, but still enough for a fun viewing experience.

DISNEY'S BEACH CLUB RESORT

Visit Disney’s Beach Club and head for Beaches and Cream’s to-go window to indulge in ice cream, sundaes, and shakes that you can take to the resort’s beach and catch glimpses of Wonderful World of Animation and Fantasmic fireworks.

WALT DISNEY WORLD SWAN AND DOLPHIN RESORT

At the Swan and Dolphin Resort, there are over ten different dining options ranging from casual to the essence of sophistication (check out our food crawl itinerary ). You can catch glimpses of the fireworks from the Dolphin side of the complex or along the bridge that connects to Disney’s Boardwalk.

If you’re in the mood for a stroll and a closer view, walk along the path the extends toward Disney’s Hollywood Studios, in between Disney’s Boardwalk and the Swan hotel. This walkway will take you up to the entrance of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Stand back along the water and face the entrance of the park. Here you can see the fireworks up close and hear the music and sounds of this spectacular show.

Alternative Locations

Rooftop resort dining.

If you’re feeling in the mood to indulge a little, consider dining at Capa, the rooftop steakhouse located at the Four Seasons Resort on Walt Disney World property. Here you’ll catch views of fireworks not only at the Magic Kingdom but at other area theme parks as well. Or you can grab a cocktail at the Capa Lounge and enjoy the view.

Disney Restaurants with Fireworks Views (reservations required)

  • California Grill at Disney's Contemporary
  • Narcoossee's at Disney's Grand Floridian
  • Toledo at Disney's Coronado Springs
  • Topolino's Terrace at Disney's Riviera Resort
  • Capa at Four Seasons Walt Disney World
  • illume at JW Marriott Bonnet Creek
  • Stir Lounge at Swan Reserve (not rooftop, but has decent EPCOT views)

FIREWORKS CRUISES

There are multiple options for booking a cruise on Disney's enchanted waterways to watch the fireworks. Check out our guide to Disney's fireworks cruises .

DISNEY SPRINGS

Get a bird’s eye view by boarding the Disney Aerophile balloon at Disney Springs. Soar above Disney Springs with views of nearby Epcot, plus Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the distance. Fireworks can be viewed while aboard the Disney Aerophile Balloon, however, there is no way to guarantee your boarding will occur during the fireworks time.

We recommend checking with one of the operators near the balloon’s loading dock to see if they can assist you with this; if the attraction is not too busy they may enable you to wait to the side until it is time to board around fireworks show time.

Magic Kingdom and EPCOT Disney Fireworks Cruises

By: Author tanialamb

Posted on Published: January 22, 2024

If you’re looking for something special to do during your Walt Disney World vacation, Disney fireworks cruises may be just what you’re looking for! They’re the perfect way to see Disney fireworks without the crowds, plus you get your own private cruise. Here’s what you need to know about Disney fireworks cruises.

What is a Disney World Fireworks Specialty Cruise?

With a Disney fireworks cruise, you and your friends can rent a private pontoon boat to sail around Disney waters and watch fireworks. You have two choices of fireworks with Disney specialty cruises – Magic Kingdom fireworks or EPCOT fireworks. I’ve done both and they each have their pros and cons.

Your party will have their own chartered boat from either Bay Lake or the World Showcase Lagoon for up to 10 people. Magic Kingdom fireworks are bigger and more dramatic while EPCOT fireworks are more intimate and you get to watch so close to World Showcase.

Guest should arrive 1 hour and 15 minutes before fireworks start. You’ll board the boat and sail around the water for about 45 minutes. Then you’ll park and wait to enjoy the fireworks.

Disney Specialty Cruise View

You’ll also receive complimentary snacks like Mickey Krispy Treats, chips, and bottled drinks.

How Much Do Disney Fireworks Cruise Cost?

Disney Fireworks Cruises start at $449 plus tax. Cost varies depending on the date. More popular times are more expensive.

How Can You Book a Specialty Cruise?

To reserve a cruise, please call (407) WDW-PLAY or (407) 939-7529. Guests under 18 years of age must have parent or guardian permission to call.

Departure Docks

Guests will depart from the docks at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts to experience Luminous The Symphony of Us at EPCOT or sail from the following marinas to view Happily Ever After:

  • Contemporary Marina
  • Polynesian Village Marina
  • Grand Floridian Marina
  • Fort Wilderness Marina
  • Wilderness Lodge Marina

Why Should You Choose a Disney Fireworks Cruise?

Specialty Fireworks cruises off a unique perspective to watch fireworks from the water! They are a great way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or any accomplishment! You have limited guest capacity for an intimate experience. It really makes you feel like a baller and like you’re a VIP.

The Disney magic comes alive by the entertainment and storytelling of each theme park fireworks show. Having a private boat with you and your friends and family just feels super special. Plus the views from the water offer such a unique point of view.

Disney World Fireworks Cruise Review

Are the Disney Specialty Fireworks Cruises Worth It?

At minimum you’ll be spending at least $500-ish for a Disney fireworks cruise. It’s worth it if you are celebrating a special occasion and you have the money. They are a lot of fun! And if you have 10 people, then it makes it even more worth it. If you have a girls’ trip, you can split the cost amongst everybody or even if you’re coming for a runDisney race .

This would also be a fun way to propose to someone on a private boat either alone or with close friends and family.

The biggest con to doing a Magic Kingdom fireworks cruise is you can’t really see the projections on Cinderella Castle. The projections are one of the biggest magical additions to Happily Every After, so that’s kind of a bummer. However, not having to fight crowds on your way out of Magic Kingdom is a big plus. And the view is still gorgeous for the fireworks themselves!

I have done both and enjoyed them both for different reasons. Bigger and better fireworks – Magic Kingdom. More intimate and cozy – EPCOT.

Children under 12 must wear life jackets on board. Also if the weather is cold, our boat had towels and blankets on board. Disney comes prepared! I’d recommend the Disney fireworks cruises to anybody who has the money to spare for a unique experience!

9 epic locations to view Disney fireworks

Trevor Aydelotte | April 19, 2016 January 17, 2016

Follow Trevor on OrlandoBrothas .

Can you remember the first time that you ever witnessed one of Walt Disney World’s magical fireworks displays in person? Did you not cry when you first heard the soundtrack to ‘Wishes’ while watching each and every firework explode into the night sky?

Maybe that second question is only a yes from me, but despite how many times I have seen ‘Wishes’ or ‘Illuminations’ inside of the parks in my lifetime I simply cannot get enough of each and every show. In fact, fireworks are what inspired me to purchase my first DSLR camera back in February of 2015! I was dying to capture some of that Disney magic that was shot into the night sky with my own camera.

I purchased a Nikon D5300, borrowed a Velbon tripod from the 1970s, did as much research as I could on firework photography, and ventured into the parks to practice. Thinking that I knew exactly where I wanted to shoot first, I headed for the Partner’s Statue in front of the Magic Kingdom for some nine o’clock Wishes, and claimed my spot at six o’clock. At first everything was alright, with everybody standing around me, we all seemed to have a mutual understanding that I would be shooting the fireworks and that they would stay out of the way. Well, that all changed as soon as the Main Street Electrical Parade began.

Phones went up, people started standing on that ledge around the statue, and well, the rest is history; three hours of my life were wasted, and I was crushed. However, it didn’t end at the Magic Kingdom. At EPCOT, I tried shooting ‘Illuminations’ near a railing in between the Mexico and Norway pavilion, and though I did get a spot up front, people would not stop bumping into my tripod and ruining my long exposures.

As for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, I chose to shoot some Frozen Fireworks from the front of the park, near ‘The Crossroads’ building for my first time. Surprisingly, the crowds were not bad at all. However, the fireworks were obscured by some of the buildings, blocking the full view of the show that I was hoping for at the time.

It was a very frustrating process trying to locate photographable areas of the parks where people would not affect my photos, but I have finally mapped out some of my favorite spots around the parks, and I am here to pass on some of my these viewing locations to all of you!

1. TTC Ferry Dock

Fireworks at TTC Ferry Dock

Many people do not think to look outside of the theme parks to view Wishes, and I totally understand. It definitely takes away from the magic of the show. With that said, there are virtually no crowds at the Transportation and Ticket Center ferry dock, and the music is still audible via speakers located around the TTC.

2. The Liberty Belle

Fireworks at The Liberty Belle

There is a bridge that runs along the water, separating Tom Sawyer’s Island from land, that is less traveled as ‘Wishes’ begin. This location gives you a great foreground and a great view of the higher fireworks. However, you do miss the lower fireworks that fire off around Cinderella Castle.

3. Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid

Fireworks at Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid

Directly out front of ‘Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid’ is a great view of the higher flying fireworks from the ‘Wishes’ fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom. Once again, you do not see the fireworks launched around the castle, but it is  crowd-free!

4. Main Street Station

Fireworks at Main Street Station

This is a great location to view both the Main Street Electrical Parade and the Wishes Fireworks from, but this location comes with a price. Starting three hours in advance people begin to camp out, holding their spot for the fireworks that they may never see again. This is a great location because you have a higher view and are not necessarily disturbed by the Main Street crowds. Though, it does get a little crazy right before the fireworks begin, it definitely beats the ground crowds!

5. Frozen Topiaries

Fireworks at Frozen Topiaries

It just seemed right to view the Frozen Fireworks in front of the Anna and Elsa topiaries at the time, and with a majority of the crowds inside of the park, this location was virtually empty. The music was still audible, there were no crowds, and I was a few feet from the tram stop back to my car; it doesn’t get better than that!

6. Star Wars from Inside the Osborne Lights

Star Wars from Inside the Osborne Lights

I’m not sure if this was allowed at any other point throughout the Osborne Lights’ final year, but for the last two days of this light display, people were allowed to stand, view, and photograph the ‘Symphony in the Stars’ fireworks show on the Streets of America. This was taken on the final night of the display, along with every other Disney photographer on the planet where the San Diego section intersects with the New York section.

7. Symphony in the Stars across the Water

Symphony in the Stars across the Water

For this location, I had to travel down the path that connects Disney’s Boardwalk to Hollywood Studios. Just before we reached the overpass for guests on Buena Vista Drive, we turned around, stopped, and enjoyed this display with no guests around us. Though the music wasn’t as audible as it would’ve been if we were inside of the parks, you could still make out the music in each scene.

8. Illuminations from the Yacht club

Illuminations fireworks from the Yacht club

Located at Disney’s Boardwalk, Disney’s Yacht Club and its lighthouse offer the perfect view of Illuminations inside of EPCOT. You do miss the fire barge scene, the globe in the lagoon, and the lower fireworks display, but the music is audible, and the crowds cease to exist from this area.

9. Illuminations from the Second Floor of Japan

Illuminations fireworks from the Second Floor of Japan

Right outside of ‘Teppan Edo’ on the second floor of the Japan pavilion is a balcony that overlooks the pavilion and the lagoon. From here, you set yourself away from the crowds around the railings of the lagoon, while still being able to see every scene of Illuminations at an elevated location.

14 Best Disney World Hotels with Fireworks Views

Nothing beats a fireworks finale, especially at Walt Disney World. Between the twinkling lights, a kaleidoscope of colors and a perfectly timed soundtrack, it’s an enchanting end to a fun-filled time in the theme parks. Unfortunately, these must-see nighttime spectaculars can also draw quite the crowds, turning a dazzling display into a borderline-annoying bookend to the day.

The solution? Why not take your fireworks viewing party back to your hotel instead? Whether Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom or Epcot’s Harmonious, there are several Walt Disney World hotels with fireworks views. Read on to learn how to end your night with a bang – minus the crowds – from the comfort of your Disney World resort.

How to Watch the Disney Fireworks from Your Hotel

Fireworks over castle at night

After a long day of theme park adventures, there’s no denying that seeing fireworks glitter above Cinderella Castle or sparkle over Epcot’s World Showcase Lagoon can be downright magical. Sometimes, however, between the long wait for a good spot and thick-as-molasses crowds, watching the show from inside the park can often feel like anything but a fairytale ending.

Luckily, there’s another place to catch the Disney fireworks that can be just as enchanting without all the stress: your Walt Disney World hotel! While not all resorts at Walt Disney World boast fireworks views (or, at least, not very good ones), there are several hotels that do offer stunning vistas of the dazzling nightly displays – including some from your guestroom. Talk about the best seats in the house!

Best of all, you don’t need to be a resort guest to take in the views. Whether you’re trying to avoid the crowds or a pricey park ticket, or simply doing a little resort hopping , the Walt Disney World hotels can be a great place to take in the show.

If you’d like to skip the crowds (well, most of them) and enjoy the show from the comfort of your Disney hotel, here are our top tips for making it happen:

Remember to Check the Schedule on the My Disney Experience App

Fireworks across Main Street buildings

Most importantly, you’ll want to refer to the My Disney Experience app to find out when the fireworks are happening during your visit. This is especially crucial if you plan on taking in the show over dinner from one of the hotel’s onsite eateries. Around showtime, restaurants with fireworks views are a hot commodity. So, plan to make your advance dining reservations far in advance, as close to the opening of the 60-day booking window as possible.

Even if you’re not trying to snag one of those in-demand seats, you’ll need to plan your travel time back to the hotel and your chosen viewing location accordingly. Unless you’re watching the fireworks from your balcony or bed, chances are that you’ll still have some crowds to contend with. Err on the side of caution and allow plenty of time to post up and grab a snack or boozy beverage .

Requesting a Disney Hotel Room with Fireworks Views

Display of Happily Ever After Fireworks outside of Cinderella castle

While you might think that the best place to watch the Disney fireworks is smackdab in front of Cinderella Castle or on the railing overlooking World Showcase Lagoon, if you are looking for a relaxing ending to your evening, you can’t beat the view from your theme park-view hotel room. Comfortable? Absolutely. Free from crowds? Blissfully. Memorable? No question.

Naturally, fireworks-view rooms at Disney World aren’t only relatively few and far between. They’re also in high demand. So, you’ll need to reserve your room plenty of time in advance. For guaranteed VIP viewing, be sure to book a fireworks or theme park-view room type if one is available.

Otherwise, you’ll need to specify your request during online check-in or once you get to the resort, and Disney Cast Members will do their best to make it happen. Once you’re finally in the room, just turn on your TV to the appropriate channel, turn up the music and enjoy the show.

Other Ways to Watch the Fireworks from Your Disney World Resort

Park-view rooms all booked up? No worries! Most of the Walt Disney World hotels on our list have a few different options for catching the fireworks, from rooftop restaurants to club-level lounges to sandy beaches.

Make an Advance Dining Reservation at an Onsite Restaurant

Colorful fireworks in the round

Much like booking a room with theme park and firework views, scoring a dining reservation and a seat overlooking the show takes a considerable amount of pre-planning – especially since tables can fill up fast. How fast exactly? Sometimes months in advance.

In other words, if possible, we suggest you make your reservation as soon as the 60-day booking window opens. This will help you secure those coveted fireworks views and leave you plenty of time to cancel without penalty should your plans change. Then, once it’s time for dinner, arrive early and ask the Cast Member for a table near the window.

Book a Club-Level Room

Although it will cost a pretty penny, one of the easiest ways to secure a view of the Disney World fireworks from the comfort of your hotel is by staying on club level . Located at all of the deluxe resorts , as well as one of the moderates , Disney World’s club-level lounges and rooms often (but not always) tout fireworks vistas in addition to complimentary snacks and sips.

Head Outside & Look to the Skies

As magical as it might be to take in the sparkling sights from a cozy bed, private balcony or restaurant table, sadly, this exclusive viewing experience isn’t available to everyone. Fortunately, some of the best places to watch the Disney World fireworks from outside the parks – like the Polynesian Village beach or along Disney’s BoardWalk – don’t even require a reservation, let alone an expensive park ticket. In fact, many locations will even pipe in the music from the show for everyone to enjoy.

Keep Your Expectations Realistic

Cinderella's Castle during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party with Fireworks and Christmas lights

Though this might be the last thing on our list of tips, it’s probably one of the most important. Without a doubt, even with the massive amounts of people and uncomfortably close quarters, the best views of the Walt Disney World fireworks will always be right there in the parks. So, to avoid the crowds, you’re probably going to have to make some sacrifices.

There’s so much more to Disney firework shows than pyrotechnics alone, such as immersive projections, colorful fountains or Tinker Bell’s cheer-inducing flight from Cinderella Castle to Tomorrowland. Sadly, unless you’re there in the parks to see it, chances are good that you’re going to miss it all.

Instead, you should expect semi-obstructed views, fireworks bursting above the tree lines and pyrotechnics twinkling in the distance. Will it still be at least a little bit magical? Almost certainly.

14 Best Walt Disney World Hotels with Fireworks Views

While you won’t be able to watch the fireworks from every Walt Disney World hotel, many resorts in the Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios areas offer theme park-view rooms, restaurants and common areas perfect for enjoying the show. Best of all, with fireworks views available at the deluxe, moderate and value resort levels, there’s something to suit every budget .

Magic Kingdom Resort Area Hotels with Fireworks Views

Monorail line outside of hotel

From the sweeping views across Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon to the convenient Resort Monorail Loop, the Magic Kingdom Resort Area is an undeniably picturesque place to stay at Walt Disney World. Add in a healthy dose of pixie dust (AKA pyrotechnics) in the form of Disney Enchantment, and you’ve got the Disney World hotels with the best fireworks views.

Disney Enchantment is Magic Kingdom’s most immersive fireworks display ever. This 15-minute extravaganza combines thrilling fireworks, an inspiring soundtrack and both new and classic Disney favorites, making for a show the whole family will love.

Oh, and we can’t forget the stunning projections that, for the first time in, well, ever, extend all the way down Main Street, U.S.A. Just remember that since you’ll be watching from back at your hotel, you won’t be able to see them.

Typically, Disney Enchantment is offered at 8:15 PM or 9:00 PM nightly, depending on what time of year you visit. So, refer to the My Disney Experience app before booking a dining reservation or making other plans.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Some of the best views of any fireworks show can be found at the front. And while no Magic Kingdom hotel can compare to being inside the park, Disney’s Contemporary Resort comes close. That being said, since you aren’t facing the Magic Kingdom head-on, the angle of the fireworks can feel a little off kilter. Oh, and don’t forget the not-so-scenic views of the resort’s parking lot.

Ideally located just across the street from the main entrance, this iconic A-frame hotel boasts a slew of theme park-view rooms, a rooftop restaurant and not one but two club levels, the Atrium Club on the 12 th floor and the 14 th -floor Tower Club. To top it all off, each club lounge gazes out over the Magic Kingdom and features its own long balcony, ideal for watching the fireworks as you snack on sweets and sip a glass of wine.

Monorail line and train coming out of hotel

Want to take your Magic Kingdom fireworks views to the next level? Crowning the hotel from the 15 th floor, the California Grill cooks up fresh west-coast cuisine and bird’s-eye views from the private observation deck.

But, you don’t need to pay for club-level access or a fancy dinner to take in the display. While not as high up as the Atrium Club, Tower Club or California Grill, the Contemporary’s fourth-floor observation deck is also a great place to watch the Disney Enchantment.

You can even use the connected exterior stairwells to get a slightly higher view. Although the observation deck has been open to non-resort guests in the past, it has recently been restricted largely to those staying at the hotel.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Moving along the Magic Kingdom Resort Monorail Loop, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is arguably the dreamiest Disney World hotel. Honestly, what could be more magical than watching fireworks glisten over the water with a DOLE Whip in your hand and your feet in the sand? *crickets* Exactly.

Perfectly situated opposite Cinderella Castle and the rest of the Magic Kingdom, this tropical retreat is home to some of the best beachfront property on the Seven Seas Lagoon. And, much of it features fireworks views, such as the King Kamehameha Club, a popular family-style restaurant and, yes, even its own beach.

Polynesian Hotel Lobby

A few different room types look out over the theme park, including some at club level. Or, just head to the King Kamehameha Club lounge to take in the display. Looking for dinner and a show? Reserve a table at the in-demand ‘Ohana and watch the fireworks through the restaurant’s wall of windows. Of course, for the most relaxing fireworks-watching experience, sidle up to Pineapple Lanai or Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace before staking out a spot on the beach.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

The only thing grander than watching the Disney World fireworks at the end of your night is doing it from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort . Boasting an askew view of Cinderella Castle and charming Victorian style, this deluxe resort is a delightful place to enjoy the Magic Kingdom fireworks from outside the parks.

Guests can choose from a variety of room types with fireworks views, with the option to upgrade to club level. Although two different club levels are available, the Royal Palm Club and the Sugarloaf Club, unlike the pair of lounges at the Contemporary Resort, only the Royal Palm Club lounge in the Grand Floridian’s main building overlooks the theme park.

Similar to the Polynesian, one of the best spots to catch the fireworks from the Grand Floridian is along the marina in between Gasparilla Grill and the boat launch. Alternatively, for the closest views available from the resort, make a reservation for Narcoossee’s, the Grand Floridian’s waterfront signature restaurant. They even play the music to go with the show.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Though Disney’s Wilderness Lodge isn’t right on Seven Seas Lagoon, this rustic retreat overlooking Bay Lake still offers some great fireworks views – for a price, that is. If you want to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the Wilderness Lodge, you’ll need to book a specific room type to make it happen.

Water Tower with foliage and path

Nature Fireworks View Rooms gaze out over the idyllic woodlands surrounding the hotel. And best of all, once the sun goes down, you can even watch the fireworks flicker and flame over the treetops from your private balcony.

Want to upgrade your stay even more? Consider booking a room at the resort’s Old Faithful Club. Then, head to the lounge come showtime to enjoy some complimentary refreshments and take in the fireworks views.

Epcot Resort Area Hotels with Fireworks Views

Without a doubt, one of our favorite places to stay at Walt Disney World is the Epcot Resort Area . From the charming waterfront overlooking Crescent Lake to the infectious energy of Disney’s BoardWalk to the area’s incredibly convenient location, this delightful corner of Disney World has a lot to offer guests, including partial views of the Epcot fireworks .

Blending thrilling pyrotechnics, beloved music, colorful fountains, dazzling lasers and a splash of culture, Harmonious celebrates the unifying power of Disney – no matter where you’re from or what language you speak. However, unlike the Magic Kingdom fireworks, much of Harmonious is centered on the World Showcase Lagoon.

So, should you choose to watch the show from your Epcot hotel, be aware that you will miss most of the action – except for the actual fireworks, of course. Typically, the 20-minute show takes place on the World Showcase Lagoon and is typically held nightly at 9:00 PM. Refer to My Disney Experience for the most up-to-date showtimes.

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn

Hotel lobby with Christmas tree

While you won’t find any room types boasting theme park or fireworks views at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn , that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. As long as you know what to ask for (a Garden View Room close to the Innkeeper’s Club Lounge – you’re welcome), you and your crew can drink in the magic from the comfort of your hotel room balcony.

Or, if you have some room in your budget, opt to stay in a club-level room and enjoy the display with a drink in your hand from the Innkeeper’s Club Lounge. Alternatively, if you’d rather save some cash without missing the show, stroll over to Jellyrolls and take in the display from one of the benches.

Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club

Facing Epcot from the other side of Crescent Lake, Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts offer stunning views of the Epcot fireworks, whether from your room or Stormalong Bay , the hotels’ incredible shared pool. Like the BoardWalk Inn, no specific room type will secure you those fireworks vistas.

That said, you can do a few things to sway the odds in your favor. Over at Disney’s Beach Club , a Garden or Woods View Room and a high floor request (facing Epcot, of course) will give you the greatest possibility of enjoying the show from your balcony. Meanwhile, over at Disney’s Yacht Club , your best bet for fireworks views is a Water View Room gazing out over Crescent Lake in the wing of the resort nearest the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel.

Pool at night surrounded by buildings

Of course, you can always head outside to see the show. Along with Stormalong Bay, other popular spots to watch the Harmonious pyro – for free – are the Beach Club’s beach and the Yacht Club’s lighthouse.

Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin

While not official Disney World hotels, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort offer some pretty spectacular views of the Epcot fireworks. For a shot at seeing them from your room at the Swan, book a Traditional Resort View or Deluxe Resort View with a balcony. Over at the Dolphin, reserve a Resort View, Deluxe View or Fireworks View. Then, upon check-in (unless you booked a Fireworks View Room), request a room overlooking Harmonious.

Walt Disney World Swan Reserve

Though the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve is technically farther from Epcot than the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, the newest of the hotel trio actually serves up the best fireworks views, especially at the property’s sky-high events venue.

Dining restaurant with chairs and tables

To score those sparkly sights, reserve a room with the theme park view of your choosing. Yes, you can even see the Hollywood Studios pyro from the Swan Reserve. Just remember that these aren’t so much a dazzling fireworks show as they are a splash of pyrotechnics.

Other Disney World Hotels with Great Views of the Fireworks

But wait, there’s more! Whether a little bit further away or overlooking Wonderful World of Animation, the projections-focused but still sparkly Hollywood Studios fireworks , these other Disney World resorts offer up some pretty – or pretty spectacular – views of the show.

Disney’s Riviera Resort

Nestled along the Disney Skyliner between Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios , the Riviera Resort boasts some stunning views of Harmonious. To (hopefully) get a room with a view, book a Standard View Room and request a high floor.

Or, for a bird’s-eye overlook of not one, not two, but three different Disney fireworks shows – Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom – make your way to Topolino’s Terrace, the Riviera’s rooftop restaurant. This European-inspired eatery dishes up French and Italian cuisine with a side of fireworks views on the viewing terrace.

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

Although considered an Animal Kingdom Resort Area hotel, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort surprisingly offers some pretty impressive fireworks views. If you request a high-floor Standard View in the Gran Destino Tower, you should be able to see the Epcot or Hollywood Studios fireworks from your room. Or, upgrade to club-level access and see the show(s) from the Chronos Club Lounge.

Outside hotel tower with plam trees

Just want to take in the display over a delicious dinner or drink? Reserve a table at Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood or stop by the Dahlia Lounge. Gazing out over Walt Disney World below from the 16 th floor of the Gran Destino Tower, this Spanish-inspired steakhouse and bar feature sweeping views of the Epcot and Hollywood Studios fireworks, with the Magic Kingdom pyro shimmering in the distance.

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

Believe it or not, you don’t need to pay the big bucks to score a fireworks view room at Disney World. Guests staying on a high floor in the Little Mermaid rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (facing the parking lot) can also catch a glimpse of the fireworks glistening in the distance. Make a special request at the time of booking for the best chance of making it happen.

Disney’s Pop Century Resort

For even cheaper pyrotechnics views, reserve a stay at Disney’s Pop Century Resort . To snag a fireworks view room at this value resort , book a Preferred Room and request a view of Hourglass Lake.

Well, fireworks fans, that brings our roun- up of the best fireworks views at the Disney World hotels to an end. Which is your favorite? Was there anywhere we missed? Let us know in the comments! Then, learn how to save on those pyrotechnics vistas with discount Disney World tickets .

A Disney Fireworks Cruise Will *Blow* You Away!

Disney fireworks cruise IllumiNations

We were blown away by the Disney World fireworks cruise my family took, to view Epcot IllumiNations! Here are the details of what to expect, what’s included, how much time to allow, and the cost.  Plus a preview video of our on-the-lake view of IllumiNations!  Everything you need to know in a Disney fireworks cruise review.

Did you know that your family can take a Disney World fireworks cruise aboard a pontoon boat? My family tried this fabulous experience out during our most recent Walt Disney World vacation.  The fireworks cruise we took was near Epcot, where we had an up close and personal viewing of Illuminations.  It was absolutely breathtaking!  Here’s some highlights and tips in my summary Disney fireworks cruise review.

Should You Include a Fireworks Cruise?

A Disney World fireworks cruise is such a unique and over-the-top experience, that I absolutely recommend your family trying this at least once.   Put it on your Disney Bucket List.

Although my family has been to Disney World several times, a fireworks cruise was not something that had previously been on our radar.  On this visit we were being hosted on a media trip, so I was excited to see they had added it to our itinerary.

Our host was TakeMeFishing.org , and they had incorporated multiple water adventures you can have while at Disney World.  This made for some terrific new experiences, both Disney-wise and life-wise!  It included going bass fishing on Bay Lake , which was a huge hit with my entire family.

It’s always so fun to try something new at Disney World!

But back to watching Illuminations at Epcot via a fireworks cruise.  I’m so glad we got to experience it!  It was truly fantastic.  And in Disney terms (it’s all relative, isn’t it?)… it’s not that expensive of an add on to your vacation.

Disney Fireworks Cruise Review ~ Schedule & Location

Disney Fireworks Cruise Review Yacht Club marina and dock

Our Epcot IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth cruise departed from Disney’s Yacht Club marina.  We had to meet at the dock around 8:45 pm, in order to view what was a 10:00 pm Illuminations show that evening.

We had our own boat captain, who was super friendly and served as our host for the evening.  A complementary basket of snacks and cooler full of cold soda and water is included with your fireworks cruise package.

Disney Fireworks Cruise review complementary snacks on boat

The boat is pontoon style.  That evening my family of four shared the boat with one other family.  In total, we had 10 people with a comfortable amount of room and available seating.

Disney Fireworks Cruise ~ What to Expect

Disney Fireworks Cruise review kids wear life jackets

Around Walt Disney World’s Epcot area, there are three Disney resorts situated around a lake and waterway.  These Disney resorts are all so close to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios, that you can easily walk to those parks.  Also, the waterway is used as a transportation route instead of Disney buses.  Friendship Boats offer complementary transportation, and have the right of way under bridges and in any congested areas.

We left for our Epcot Illuminations Fireworks Cruise with plenty of time to navigate leisurely to our destination.  The captain actually took us for a loop down to Hollywood Studios, to enjoy a longer, relaxing boat ride.  Unlike zipping along in a speed boat, the sound of the pontoon motor during the cruise is minimal, allowing for conversation.

Next we headed in the other direction to nestle into our spot to watch the fireworks.  You approach the International Gateway “back” entrance to Epcot.  The Disney World Fireworks cruise boats all appeared of the same size, and were lined up in a tight row underneath the bridge between France and United Kingdom.

In other words, you are floating right on the water… on the edge of World Showcase Lagoon.  Words cannot fully express what an exhilarating experience it is to watch Illuminations from this vantage point!

IllumiNations… Like You’ve Never Seen It Before!

Disney World fireworks cruise boats lined up at Epcot International Gateway 2

January 2019 UPDATE:   After nearly 20 years, Disney has announced they will be retiring the Illuminations: Reflections of Earth Fireworks show at the end of summer 2019.  They have released an announcement of the fireworks spectacular to replace Illuminations .

They have the infrastructure already in place. So it’s a pretty sure bet that Disney will continue to offer a fireworks cruise, once the new Epcot fireworks show is up and running.   All other components described here would probably remain the same.  What a cool way it would be to witness the new fireworks spectacular from the lake!

I’ve been watching Epcot’s IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth for years.  I love it.  The soundtrack still gives me goosebumps at the dénouement.  But I’ll be honest.  I’ve reached the point where I can take-it-or-leave-it.  Or I should say, I’m willing to miss it in favor of heading to the buses sooner, especially after a long Park day.

However, this was a WHOLE NEW BALLGAME.  My entire family was excited.  But we really had no idea how amazing it would be!  We all agreed it was a absolutely and incredible Disney Must-Do experience.

Disney World Fireworks Cruise Epcot IllumiNations

As I mentioned previously, my family was hosted on this particular Disney World fireworks cruise.  But this is one of those outstanding experiences that I absolutely would do on my own dime.  So we definitely plan to do this again in the future.

The view from right there sitting on the water was so breathtaking, I took this short video to capture my favorite portion of Epcot IllumiNations.  Enjoy!

Disney Fireworks Cruise ~ Rates

You can book a cruise reservations by phone, by calling 1-407-WDW-PLAY.  Details for a Magic Kingdom cruise vary a little, with two sizes of pontoon boats available.  But the IllumiNations cruise is a boat that holds up to 10 guests. As of 2017, this “specialty cruise” starts at $349.00, and includes a driver.

Why you should consider a Disney Fireworks Cruise in your Disney World trip planning! Here are tips on what is included in this fabulous experience, along with a video from Epcot IllumiNations fireworks cruise. Kids and adults will love this experience.

My family was hosted for the IllumiNations fireworks cruise, as part of the Take Me Fishing event at Walt Disney World.  All opinions are my own.

Disney’s Fireworks Cruise- What You Need To Know

Hello Mousekemom Friends! Our friends at Kingdom and Cruise were recently in Walt Disney World. As our sponsors, they were gracious enough to take us on a Fireworks Cruise. Join us as we take you on this adventure with us. Learn what you need to know and if its really worth it! Now let’s head on to our experience on the Disney Fireworks Cruise!

Disney's Fireworks Cruise

Did you know at Disney you could book your own private 25ft pontoon boat to have a view of the fireworks from Seven Seas Lagoon? This is one of several experiences offered for the nighttime fireworks shows.

Starting at $399, you can rent your own pontoon. Up to 10 people can ride together and enjoy a relaxing, two hour cruise, and the magic that is Disney’s fireworks show.

disney yacht club fireworks

We met at the Contemporary Resort Marina, about an hour and a half before fireworks began, to check in. It was extremely easy to find. They had signage for where to check in and load at the docks.

The Contemporary is just one of the places where you can book this adventure. The resorts that offer this experience are:

  • The Contemporary
  • The Polynesian
  • The Grand Floridian
  • Fort Wilderness
  • The Wilderness Lodge

Mousekemom Tip

This is approximately a two-hour cruise. Make sure you go to the bathroom right before you board! Bathrooms at the Contemporary Marina were right next to the loading dock.

Settling in To Your Boat

disney yacht club fireworks

Each boat comes with your own personal driver, who is an expert at navigating you through Bay Lake to Seven Sea Lagoon. When you check in, you are introduced to your captain, they will escort you down the dock to your boat, and assist your boarding process.

Our Captain was McKenzie. She was phenomenal and gave us some amazing facts about the scenery around us. She fit right in with our crew and we are so thankful she put up with our relentless questions, and she was able to answer each one!

Snacks Included

disney yacht club fireworks

Included in the price of the boat rental, is drinks and snacks for those aboard. Drinks include coke products and water. Snacks include a selection of chips and treats such at cookies, brownies and Mickey-shaped rice krispies (which we all know that if its Mickey shaped, the calories don’t count- right?). What we didn’t finish, we were able to take with us.

Your Pontoon Boat

Two cocktail tables on either sides of the boat ensure that there’s a comfortable spot to place your snack and drinks, as well as your personal belongings. You’re also provided with towels, which are located on the seats, in case you need them.

After we boarded, McKenzie went over all of the safety information and rules we needed to follow. After that, we were on our way!

As we traveled on, we got to pass some of the gorgeous resorts located on Bay Lake. We saw The Contemporary, Animal Kingdom Lodge, The Grand Floridian and the Polynesian. There are no words to describe how they look at night, all lit up, reflecting in the waters beneath them.

It was great after a busy Disney day in the parks, to be able to sit on the water, enjoying the company of others, while snacking and talking.

The Contemporary

Electrical Water Pageant

disney yacht club fireworks

As we cruised through the lake, we came to a stop near the shores of the Polynesian Resort. This pit-stop was in order for us to be able to experience the Electrical Water Pageant. This night-time parade consists of fourteen boats, each boasting 25ft tall lights, flashing us scenes of whimsical sea-creatures, patriotic Americana, and during the 50th Celebration, a gorgeous whirl of EARidescent colors surrounding silhouettes of Cinderella’s castle.

Wishes: A Magical Gathering of Disney Dreams

After the Electrical Water Pageant, we were whisked away to the front of Magic Kingdom, in the Seven Seas Lagoon. Not long after we arrived, the show, Wishes, began. Disney spared no expense as they ensure that they pipe the music through the speakers of your own boat, so you don’t miss an ounce of Magic.

Watching from the water was unlike any way I have ever viewed the fireworks before. It was absolutely breathtaking to watch the glittering fireworks rain down over the castle, with the lagoon lighting up with the reflection of colors.

The Castle From the Seven Seas Lagoon

Of course, pictures rarely capture the extent of the beauty of fireworks, but its definitely true here- the pictures don’t do it justice.

As the fireworks show wrapped up, we got to enjoy the serenity of the lagoon for another moment, and then McKenzie began the trip back to the Contemporary Marina.

As we docked, we got out to our banner saying “Welcome Home” in place of the “Congratulations” it dawned before, a subtle but very Disney touch.

You may want to bring some cash with you. Tipping your Captain is not necessary, nor do they expect it, but our Captain, McKenzie was absolutely fabulous, so it definitely wouldn’t hurt to come prepared!

disney yacht club fireworks

So- Hit or Miss Experience?

If you are able to- you do NOT want to miss this! On land, even watching from a resort shore, is crowded and loud. This experience takes you on a gorgeous tour of some of Disney’s waterways, giving you a vantage point of some of this scenery you can’t get any other way. You get to see the Electrical Water Pageant up close and personal, which is an added bonus to the main event.

The fireworks show sparkled over the water, and the feeling of not having to fight with thousands of other people on Main Street USA just to get a decent spot to view the fireworks, is unbeatable! We loved the snacks and drinks, the privacy and the entire experience as a whole.

This would be a great way to celebrate an anniversary, birthday, proposal, or even just because.

As nice as you think it would be to do this on your last night- Florida weather is fickle. Try to plan this a little earlier in your trip, so that if the Florida weather ruins it, you can reschedule for a different night of your visit. They are great about accommodating, so if you get to the docks to board, and it has to be cancelled, they will help you figure it out!

Will you be booking this experience for your next trip? Let us know in the comments below!

Watch Epcot Fireworks from Your Beach Club Room

disney yacht club fireworks

Did you know that you can see Epcot fireworks from Beach Club?! I had always heard stories of families watching the Epcot fireworks on their Beach Club room balconies. But my family and I had personally never experienced this magical moment.

That is, until our last visit to Disney’s Beach Club Resort . We booked a Garden/Woods view and were pleasantly surprised to see the Epcot fireworks show from our room balcony! If you’ve never stayed here, the Beach Club Resort (and its sister property the Yacht Club Resort ) is my family’s favorite hotel at Walt Disney World.

This deluxe resort hotel provides a convenient location, AMAZING pool, and kid-friendly amenities. If you are considering a stay at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, continue reading below, and we’ll provide all our favorite tips on getting the best room.

This article also includes a photo and video tour of our Garden/Woods View Room at the Beach Club Resort. You will also see how we were able to watch the Epcot fireworks right from our balcony!

(This post may contain affiliate links. If you make a purchase through one of these links, I may receive a small compensation at no extra cost to you. Please see my disclosure policy at the bottom of this page for more details.)

Room Types at the Beach Club Resort

As mentioned above, Disney’s Beach Club Resort is one of the best places to stay at Walt Disney World. At this hotel, you are within walking distance to two of the theme parks. Epcot is roughly a 5-minute walk while Disney’s Hollywood Studios is around a twenty minute walk (or ferry boat ride).

Before we provide our full review of our Beach Club room, let’s discuss some of the room options you will find when booking Disney’s Beach Club Resort. You’ll notice several different room types at the Beach Club hotel including:

  • Standard View Room
  • Garden/Woods View Rooms
  • Water View Rooms (view of Crescent Lake)
  • Deluxe Rooms

Since the photos and video tour in this post are from a Garden/Woods View room, I will focus mostly on this room type. However, the room layout is basically the same if you have a standard or water view room at the Beach Club. The Deluxe Room and the suites at Disney’s Beach Club offer more square footage for those families looking for additional space.

hotel room with text overlay Get a Fireworks View at Disney's Beach Club

The Club Level rooms allow access to a club lounge with refreshments and snacks at select times throughout the day. Club Level rooms also include things like personalized cast member assistance and robes/slippers among a few other amenities.

How to Get a Cheap Room at Disney’s Beach Club

If you are open to staying at Disney’s Beach Club Villas, my family and I often use a special trick for finding a cheap rate on a Disney room.

green hotel with white trim

The Beach Club Villas are located on the same property as Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. So, you are able to use all of the resort amenities (like the pool) whether you stay at the villas or the hotels. Since Disney’s Beach Club Villas is part of the Disney Vacation Club, you can sometimes rent timeshare points from Disney Vacation Club members to stay there cheap.

David's Vacation Club Rentals banner

There are different ways to go about renting timeshare points, but we find David’s Vacation Club Rentals to be the best DVC rental site . This is a really reputable company, and the employees are super easy to work with. You just price out your vacation dates on their cost calculator , fill out the online form, and receive an email reply from David’s Vacation Club Rentals.

You can typically save hundreds of dollars each time you are able to use this method for booking a room at Disney World. If you are looking for additional tips on choosing the right Disney World hotel, join our Facebook group for personalized help on finding the best resort for your family!

Disney’s Beach Club Room Amenities

When staying at the Beach Club Resort at Walt Disney World, you will find standard amenities available in your hotel room. These room amenities include:

  • Keurig Coffee Maker
  • In-room Safe
  • Iron and Ironing Board
  • Mini Refrigerator
  • Shampoo and Conditioner
  • Body Lotion

It’s important to note that other amenities are available upon request. These items (microwave, bed rails, pack-n-play) are particularly helpful if you are traveling to Disney with a baby or toddler .

Can You See Epcot Fireworks from Beach Club?

If you book a regular hotel room (standard, garden/woods, or water view) at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, you will be able to make specific room requests for your visit. These room request options include:

  • Large Balcony
  • Upper Floor
  • Lower Floor
  • Ground Floor

You can call the hotel to make additional requests like bed type or room location. My family and I like to request a large balcony since we tend to spend time sitting outside our room regardless of the view. If you don’t plan to use the balcony, the small (no seating) balcony would probably be sufficient.

Epcot fireworks from Beach Club balcony

If you booked a garden/woods view, I also suggest requesting a room on an upper floor since you have a greater chance at seeing the Epcot fireworks.

Beach Club Resort Room Layout with Pictures

We love the bright, airy feeling that greets you upon entering your room at the Beach Club. The wide entrance to the room offers a cabinet with a mini refrigerator and a Keurig Coffee Maker.

Disney's Beach Club room entrance and closet

Just after this little nook, you will find a roomy closet with your in-room safe. Across from the closet, you will find the family sized bathroom. The vanity portion of the bathroom provides two separate sinks and a large mirror.

Disney's Beach Club bathroom vanity

The toilet and tub/shower combo sit in a separate part of the bathroom.

Disney's Beach Club bathroom

When you enter the hotel room, you will find either 2 queen beds or 1 king bed across from the flat screen television with console.

queen beds at Disney's Beach Club Resort

A small desk and chair are located on the far side of the room near the balcony.

It’s important to note that some of the larger rooms also include a sofa/daybed.

Disney Fireworks outside the Parks

In addition to the Beach Club Resort, visitors to Disney World can catch a good view of the fireworks in other locations. Guests staying at one of the Epcot area hotels could easily find a viewing spot near the Disney BoardWalk to watch the fireworks. Even though you wouldn’t be able to watch from your hotel room, guests at the following hotels could easily take a short walk just outside their resort to find a good spot to view fireworks:

  • Walt Disney World Swan
  • Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
  • Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
  • Walt Disney World Dolphin
  • Walt Disney World Swan Reserve

Additionally, you can watch Magic Kingdom fireworks at several of the monorail hotels. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort offers a prime location for viewing the Cinderella Castle where the Magic Kingdom firework shows take place. You can sit on the beach area outside the Grand Floridian Disney resort to get a good view of the show.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort features theme park view rooms where you can watch the fireworks show from your balcony. Additionally, you can secure a dining reservation at California Grill inside the Contemporary Resort. One of the best spots for viewing the fireworks is on the observation deck just outside this signature restaurant.

poolynesian resort fireworks

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is located on Seven Seas Lagoon near the Grand Floridian. Resort guests can watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks on the beach at the Polynesian. Similar to our experience at the Beach Club, my family was pleasantly surprised to snag great views of the fireworks from our balcony at Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows . We could also hear the music from the Electrical Water Pageant right from our room!

Final Review of Rooms at Beach Club

My family and I come back to the Beach Club Resort and Villas and the Yacht Club Resort each time we visit Walt Disney World. I enjoy trying out the other hotels on Disney property, but we really prefer the setting near Disney’s Boardwalk , Epcot, and Hollywood Studios.

David's Vacation Club Rentals banner

We were concerned that the addition of the Disney Skyliner would make this area feel really crowded, but luckily that hasn’t been the case during our visits. Not only do you get a bright, spacious room at Disney’s Beach Club Resort; but, you also get to use the BEST pool on Disney World property!

Staying in a Polynesian Deluxe Studio Standard View

I would like to stay at the Beach Club. What is the best view to request to see the EPCOT fireworks?

Thanks so much for reaching out. In order to view the EPCOT fireworks from your room balcony, you would need to reserve a Garden View or Woods View room. There should also be an option to choose a higher floor. When you check in at Beach Club, you can ask the cast member to put you in a room facing the Epcot fireworks. This does not guarantee that you will be able to see Epcot fireworks from your room, but it does increase your chances. If your Garden/Woods view room does not overlook the fireworks show, you can view the fireworks outside the Beach Club near the bridge to Epcot. This is a super short walk away from your room. My kids enjoy grabbing ice cream to watch the fireworks here if our room doesn’t have a view. Hope that helps and have a great trip!

We have a garden or woods view. Are there rooms that might have a firework view at all?

MaryKatesMom

MaryKatesMom

No. There is pool view or lagoon view. Both categories are under "water view". If you have a specific preference for one of the two you can request it. Unless the new fireworks go very high, there were never fireworks views there.

We have had garden view the past 3 visits and the room faced away from Epcot.
