Review: Renting a Poolside Cabana at Disney World
Have you ever thought about what it would be like to rent a poolside cabana during your Walt Disney World vacation? Well, the bad news is it’s an expensive treat. But on the flip side, you’ll probably enjoy the cabana so much that you won’t regret it.
Since we specialize in resort-related information, we try to provide as much coverage of unique offerings as possible. Before this experience, renting a cabana at Stormalong Bay had been at the top of my list for some time.
It’s been a few years since we rented this particular cabana at Stormalong Bay. Little has changed since then, except the price, which has increased like everything else. So, I wanted to revisit this article and provide a few updates as we venture into 2024.
This article was updated on December 7, 2023.
Which Resorts at Disney World Have Cabana Rentals?
Here is the list of resorts that have cabana rentals at Walt Disney World:
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club
Additionally, poolside patio rentals are available at the Oasis Pool at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, the Feature Pool at the Contemporary, and the Courtyard Pool at Grand Floridian. Poolside patios differ slightly from the cabana rentals, and pricing is not the same.
For more information on renting a poolside patio, check the patio rentals page on Disney’s site . Currently, the Grand Floridian’s Courtyard Pool Patios average $125.00. Here are a few photos of the patio offerings taken within the last year. Again, these are not to be confused with cabana rentals. Most of these offerings are usually reserved for a dedicated seating area with some shade. (You can click on any of these photos to expand the picture.)
Cost of Cabana Rentals at Disney World
When we called to check the price of cabanas for 2024, we were quoted an average price of $350.00 per day plus tax for all three resorts. This is a significant price difference from the $318.00 we paid (including tax) only two years ago.
Disney World’s resort cabanas can be reserved at 60 days out. You must have a confirmed reservation at the resort for the day you want to reserve the cabana. Also, you’ll want to make this reservation as early as possible on the 60-day mark to secure your cabana. The number of cabanas at each pool is limited, and they fill up quickly. You can call Disney at (407) 939-7529 to reserve a cabana. More information is available here on Disney’s website . Unfortunately, they do not list the prices.
Let the cast member know if you are an annual passholder or DVC member. A 15% discount is available, which you’ll want to take advantage of if applicable.
What’s Included in a Cabana Rental at Disney World?
Here are the items you’ll receive based on the resort.
Yacht and Beach Club Cabanas Include:
- Dedicated Cast Member providing service to the cabanas
- Cocktail service (Hurricane Hanna’s)
- Ceiling fan
- Padded furniture, including chairs and a couch
- Television with cable access
- Charging outlet/USB
- Mini refrigerator stocked with complimentary sodas and water
- Fruit basket (may not be available without advance reservation)
- Plush towels
- Cabinet safe
In addition, we received a dessert tray in the afternoon. This item is not listed in the amenities on Disney’s site. However, I believe the dessert trays are a standard item with the cabana reservation.
Disney’s Contemporary Cabanas Include:
- Bluetooth speaker
- Television with cable service
Disney’s Grand Floridian Cabanas Include:
- Two padded lounge chairs
- Padded sectional couch
- Smart TV with cable service
- Snack basket (may not be available without advance reservation)
Our Experience Renting a Cabana at Stormalong Bay
Now that we’ve covered the basics, we’ll walk through how our day went so you’ll get the whole story. This cabana was reserved for our check-in day at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. If you’re arriving early in the day, this is a wonderful way to start your vacation. Cabana rentals begin at 10:00 a.m. and conclude at 7:00 p.m.
We got to our cabana at approximately 11:00 a.m. If it’s your check-in day, you can change in the shower rooms near the pool, or an additional changing area is in the back of the Ship Shape Health Club, which faces the pool. You are welcome to enjoy the resort’s amenities as soon as you arrive, even if your room is not yet available.
A cast member will scan your Magic Band for entry at the pool gate. They will provide a bracelet indicating you’re a guest of the resort and an additional band identifying you’re a cabana guest.
After getting our bands, we were escorted to our cabana. We rented cabana number four at Stormalong Bay. Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club share a pool area called Stormalong Bay . Four cabanas are available at the pool. They sit on one end near the children’s pool with the sand bar in the center.
Cabanas two and one sit near the edge of the pool. If you have smaller children, I would recommend requesting either of these. You’ll be able to easily watch your child in the shallow pool from the cabana. Below, cabana two sits on the right side of the photo. Cabana one sits next to it on the opposite side.
I would recommend cabanas three or four for older children who do not need as much supervision or a group of adults. We were a group of ladies, so I requested cabana four for this trip. These cabanas are a little more private. Below is a photo of where we were in relation to the other cabanas.
Here is a photo of cabana three.
After getting settled, a cast member greeted us and said she was moving us to three because the refrigerator was out in our cabana. This was disappointing because I had reserved four for privacy and the shaded area around the cabana. We also had a nice view out to Crescent Lake.
As we moved our stuff, we realized we wouldn’t have as much shade without closing the curtain. So I asked if we could stay where we were and use the refrigerator as needed. They said that would be fine, so we moved our stuff back. Unfortunately, that was our last real conversation with the cabana attendant.
But I digress. After settling in, I took a few photos of everything.
A fruit tray came with the cabana rental. It was a nice assortment of fruit and the perfect refreshing treat to enjoy on a hot day at the pool.
It would have been nice had we been given plates, bowls, napkins, and utensils for the fruit. As you can imagine, not having these things was awkward, and we didn’t know we were supposed to have them.
Our fridge was fully stocked with Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Sprite, apple juice, and bottles of water. Funny enough, our “broken” refrigerator had ice-cold drinks while the drinks in the neighboring cabana were warm.
On one side of the cabana, we had two regular chairs.
We had a sofa with a few wicker end tables on the opposite side. Each of the tables had compartments where you could store your belongings.
A long cabinet on the backside of the space provided plenty of storage.
We also had a safe, which was a nice touch. Since we hadn’t received our room assignment, I had my electronic devices. So it was nice to store those items and our wallets while we enjoyed the pool.
We had a Bluetooth speaker and several charging ports.
Of course, the television was another fun perk. I felt the television would be suitable for anyone wanting to enjoy a football game over the weekend. It’s also nice to let children take a break and watch a few Mickey shorts while eating lunch or napping.
Later in the day, we experienced a tremendous downpour. Since no lightning was involved, we let the curtains down and enjoyed the breeze from the rain. It was nice that we didn’t need to rush anywhere to protect our belongings. Overall, I felt like there were many benefits to renting a cabana.
Our cabana came with a list of television channels, menus for Hurricane Hanna’s, and a list of complimentary snack items. Unfortunately, we were never offered snacks until much later in the day.
Two lounge chairs sit in the sun in front of each cabana. We ended up turning them around and pulling them into the shade.
As far as the cabana’s proximity to the rest of the pool, it’s important to note that most teens and adults probably won’t spend much time in the nearby shallow pool. You’ll likely want to walk to other areas of the pool that aren’t geared toward children. For instance, you’ll have to walk around the entire pool to get to the lazy river or any other area of the pool. It’s not a big deal, but the cabanas are confined to this area.
Throughout the day, a server from Hurricane Hanna’s waited on us. This server came by when he was making his rounds at the pool. When he got near our area, he would check in to see if we wanted to order anything. This is the same service you would get at any lounge chair or table at the pool.
I’m not hard to please, and I know this sounds trivial. However, this is a review, and I want to paint a clear picture. We had a great server. But he was swamped. So when it came time for lunch, we had to go and find him after waiting over 30 minutes for him to stop back by. While it wasn’t his fault, having someone check in more often would have been nice.
Speaking of someone checking in, during the entirety of our afternoon, the cast members dedicated to the cabanas never acknowledged us. Nor did they offer us snacks, ask if we were doing okay, or provide any value whatsoever.
We had no idea there was a large cabinet full of snack trays they were supposed to bring by and offer throughout the day. Not only that, but all those napkins, plates, and similar items we needed were sitting in that cabinet the entire day. It was frustrating.
Thankfully, when we ordered lunch, it didn’t take too long. We ordered a kids’ meal to get the sand pail and shovel. Unfortunately, this option is no longer available.
I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich.
Thankfully, the grill at Hurricane Hanna’s has a decent selection. Here are the choices we had:
- Grilled Chicken Sandwich
- Hanna’s Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger
- Seafood Roll
- Impossible Burger
- Caesar Salad with Chicken
- Garden Salad
Most of the grab-and-go items are the same pre-made items in the area’s other counter service locations. I recommend ordering something fresh.
A cocktail menu was also available. You’ll want to note that anything you order extra (food or drinks) from Hurricane Hanna’s is at your expense. The only food items you’ll receive with the cost of the cabana are the fruit tray, snacks, and dessert tray.
At approximately 2:00 p.m., an attendant brought us a dessert tray. We thought this was a nice gesture. (Note this was the only interaction we’d had since initial check-in.)
Our afternoon snack tray contained red velvet cupcakes, key lime cups, a mocha-flavored dessert, and a cheesecake with chocolate. Everything was tasty, and it reminded me of the offerings available in the club level at the Beach Club .
After lunch, we decided to do a little swimming. Stormalong Bay ranks as our top choice for the best pools at Disney World . The pool area is a small water park with a lazy river area, waterslides , and spas. We have a list with the pools at Disney’s Beach Club if you want to learn more.
When we got back from the pool, it was nearly 4:00 p.m. Unfortunately, bad weather was approaching. At that time, a new cast member had appeared and introduced herself. This cast member was kind and immediately checked to see if we needed anything and offered snacks. I told her no one had checked on us all day except for dropping off the dessert tray.
She said that was not how things should be and apologized. Apparently, she told a manager because soon after, someone else came by to check on us and inquire about the service we had. Of course, we had enjoyed the cabana even though we were painfully aware that we had been ignored most of the day.
After talking with the manager, she said they would provide a credit to our room for us to enjoy a meal during our stay. We would have never asked for any compensation, but felt that Disney handled the situation well and tried to make up for it.
We would rent a cabana again, even though we had a somewhat negative experience.
Final Thoughts
Overall, we enjoyed our time at the cabana. Next time, we’ll know how things should progress throughout the day. But that’s why we do this. If you’re looking to splurge on a cabana and read this review, you’ll know what to expect, too.
Before we left, our group discussed what kind of people would enjoy this type of rental. We felt like a group of women, like us, or a bridal party might enjoy that extra luxurious feeling. Those traveling with grandparents who can’t stay in the sunshine long might enjoy resting in the shade. Or a family with small children who would use the nearby pool. One member of our group suggested that a child could easily take a nap on the sofa during the day.
While cabana rentals aren’t a necessity, it’s also nice to have the dedicated space at the pool area. We stayed at the Yacht Club for a week this last summer, and I waited at the pool (in line) each morning to secure one of the few tables and chairs in the shade. We inquired about renting a cabana during that stay, but they were booked for the entire week.

One Comment
Thanks for the thorough review. I will be traveling in the fall with my 2 kids under 5 and extended family and the info about the Cabana location was helpful. It sucks that the first shift cast members didn’t provide the service they should have but glad to know what things should be provided.

Review for New Bern Grand Marina Yacht Club
Stopped in without my boat, but they were still extremely friendly and accommodating.
View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
Second time at this marina; first time in my boat. Friendly staff helped me dock in a slip relatively close to land. This marina is very close to downtown New Bern, which is a wonderful stop just off the Great Loop. There are quite a few liveaboards at this marina and all were very friendly. The docks are secured with a combination lock. I felt very safe. Some noise in late afternoon from gulls gathering along the railroad bridge adjacent to the marina. They were quiet after sunset. The train seems to come by in the morning, very slowly. My only gripe about this marina is the distance from the boat dock to the restrooms and laundry facilities -- it's at least two city blocks! Pet friendly. There is a grassy area right outside the dock gate. A sign was erected during my stay: "Dogs must be leashed." I would stay here again and recommend it, but mostly for its proximity to downtown New Bern.
The New Bern Grand Marina Yacht Club has been one of our very favorite stops! The proximity to town is unbeatable! We loved being able to step off our boat and be in the heart of New Bern's charming downtown area. There were so many things for our kids to do and explore in the area. The marina itself is in a rebuilding state from a recent hurricane. The office is housed in a temporary building that is about a block away from the docks. They do have bathrooms and laundry, but the pool is still closed. The transient dock is brand new and extremely nice. We docked on the far side and struggled to get the marina wifi. My advice would be to try to dock closer to the gate at the end. You will have a shorter walk with laundry and closer proximity to wifi. The staff is very friendly at New Bern Grand Marina Yacht Club and they offered our family several suggestions on restaurants. We will definitely return!
Excellent access to a great town. Really good staff. Really good rates.
Post-Hurricane Florence, we are happy to see that the NB Grand is still as good as ever. The new G-dock is set to open soon, so more transient space will be available by the spring. The hotel is still closed, but renovations are ongoing and the property has been maintained. The marina restrooms and showers are now located at the sales office at the corner of Front and Craven Sts. Ask around for the current best restaurant choices and current boater favorites.
We weren't sure what to expect here but we loved it so much we stayed for two months. New Bern is like something out of a Hallmark movie and the marina is right in the middle of it making everything within walking distance. The staff is second to none. We arrived post Hurricane Florence so the restrooms/laundry etc.. weren't functional but we were told it would all be up and running in April 2019. They have recovered remarkably well and offered free dockside pump outs so we were fine with the accommodation. Local hardware store- 2 blocks, natural food store- 4 blocks, many restaurants and bars and a wonderful community filled with southern hospitality. Well worth the trip up the Neuse River!
What a great value, we paid $4 foot a week. Great little town with lovely waterfront. Docks need a bit of work but the town makes up for it.
Awesome marina. The most beautiful setting you can imagine as the marina is part of the Doubletree Hotel campus. Gated docks. Great shower facilities and a very short walking distance to more than 20 restaurants plus lots of shopping and entertainment in historic downtown New Bern, across the street from the marina. The staff is second to none. A very friendly and beautiful environment and a great place to live or keep your boat. We liked it so much, we are liveaboards here.
Great facility. Security next to a Doubletree hotel. Good showers. Great staff. Had a wonderful time in New Bern, a quaint touristy birthplace of Pepsi Cola.

Bottom Line
The upscale Old Bahama Bay Resort feels like a luxurious tropical compound, set on 225 acres of beachfront grounds next to a full-service marina. Its 73 elegant, spacious suites are set in plantation-style villas, in king, double and two-bedroom layouts (sleeping up to six) -- all with terraces, water views, kitchenettes or kitchens, and huge marble bathrooms. Freebies include Wi-Fi, water sports, and tennis. There’s a beachfront tiki bar and a nautical-style dinner restaurant. Arrival by seaplane, boat, or private jet (into nearby West End airport) is ideal, but taxis or the hotel shuttle can be arranged for the 45-minute trip from Freeport. Its fairly isolated location is best suited for those seeking an escape from touristy bustle, but travelers craving more a central, livelier property could try the the Grand Lucayan .

Oyster Hotel Review
Sprawling beachfront oasis scattered with bright plantation-style villas.
Old Bahama Bay Resort & Yacht Club unfolds like a private little paradise framed with clear waters in every shade of blue (but strong coastal winds aren’t unusual given the exposed setting). It occupies a sprawling expanse of tropical green grounds, flanked by five miles of private beachfront on one side and a 72-slip marina on the other. A parade of villas dressed in Bahama-bright hues and pastels are aptly named after vibrant tropical flowers, like bougainvillea and bird of paradise. At the resort’s heart, a split-level freshwater pool, framed with sun beds and shady palm trees, cascades down to the beach -- where the thatched-roof activities hut and tiki bar dominate the daytime action. A couple of multicolored market-style stalls (selling shells and souvenirs) enhance the cute island-inspired ambience, and plenty of picnic tables invite alfresco dining on the beach. Shaded hammocks are slung between palm trees here and there, a colorful line-up of water-sports equipment sits ready and waiting on the beach, and there’s a little playground for the kids. Dockside Bar & Grille complements the marina it overlooks with nautical decor, and the lobby exudes British Colonial elegance that continues into the guest rooms.
Grand Bahama’s westernmost tip, near West End private airport
The resort occupies the westernmost tip of Grand Bahama Island , and it's a two-minute walk from West End’s quaint fishing village center. It’s a nine-minute drive from West End private airport, and about 40 minutes by car from Grand Bahama International Airport. Port Lucaya Marina & Marketplace, and Freeport ’s touristy hub of hotels and casinos takes around 45 minutes by car, and the resort shuttle can be arranged if required (for a fee). (Guests should arrange this in advance to guarantee getting there.) Seaplanes from Fort Lauderdale can be caught directly to Old Bahama Bay, and the resort is of course, accessible by boat.
Spacious apartment-like layouts, dressed in British Colonial-style decor with terraces and water views
The brightly colored villa facades give way to Old World luxury in the guest rooms, with more subdued, neutral palettes, marble floors, and British Colonial-style decor blending tropical cues with timeless formality. Botanical fabrics, island-inspired artworks, and white plantation shutters complement dark timber furniture accents, such as elegantly carved headboards and coffee tables. Spacious layouts with French doors opening onto private terraces, lounge areas (with sleeper sofas), and kitchen facilities feel more like upscale apartments than hotel rooms. Junior suites (spanning 600 square feet) are available in king or double queen configurations -- all with kitchens, and a choice of ocean or pool view, or oceanfront categories. Two-bedroom suites, spanning over 1,300 feet, sleep up to six guests, and feature dining areas, two private terraces (with ocean views), three bathrooms, and full kitchens. Kitchen units with large refrigerators, microwaves, stovetops, and dishwashers are provided in all rooms, as are stunning oversized marble bathrooms with large shower/tub combos (some whirlpool), and stone and timber vanities stocked with premium individual toiletries. Free Wi-Fi, washer/dryers, flat-screen TVs, and DVD players are also provided, and closets are stocked with dressing gowns, safes, and umbrellas.
Private beach, freshwater pool, full-service marina, fitness center, spa, free activities, and two restaurants
Features are in abundance at the Old Bahama Bay, so there’s not much need to venture beyond resort confines. The resort's star attraction is its miles of private beach, outfitted with loungers and hammocks. But a close runner up is the split-level pool with a waterfall feature; its ringed with loungers and sun umbrellas. The marina offers plenty of docking space and on-site customs and immigration to process international arrivals. In addition to the private beach, leisure fans are well catered to with an array of free water sports on offer, such as paddleboards, sea kayaks, and snorkel gear. Other outdoor amenities include volleyball, shuffle board, basketball, giant checkers and chess boards, free use of bicycles, and tennis courts that come with free court-time and racket use, although guests must pay for balls. The activities hut located near the pool can arrange ecology tours (such as dolphin spotting and turtle feeding), sunset cruises, and private boat or fishing charters -- the area is known for its exceptional deep sea fishing.
A selection of indoor activities may come in handy if the weather turns bad -- there’s a pool table, ping pong, board games and a Wii console. Massages, Reiki, body treatments and mani/pedis are available in the spa or in-room, and the fitness center is equipped with modern cardio and weight-training equipment. Teaser’s Tiki Bar is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and happy hour. It serves up local specialties and American favorites alongside cocktails and beers, and sometimes features seasonal barbecues, live entertainment, and bonfires. Dockside Bar & Grille features a range of local and international dinner dishes, and both restaurants offer a “Cook Your Catch” option, for guests who’ve managed to catch their own. The hotel gift shop is well-stocked with souvenirs, clothing and accessories, snacks, and basic necessities. Business facilities are provided in the lobby, and Wi-Fi is free throughout. The hotel shuttle can take guests farther afield (for a fee).

Price is not a deal breaker for me when quality is there. Not only were the prices outrageous and I understand it's on the water but the food was awful. Our plan was to eat there for the weekend, ended up Going to local grocery store to buy next dinner. People should review more, I would have saved my $.
This place slaps! I love the new remodel and the bar has an old cheers vibe. Food is amazing and after speaking with the chef Sam I was informed they have different specials every weekend. I will definitely be coming back more often. Amber was my server her knowledge of the food was impeccable and made me at ease with my food allergies. Cocktails are fun and have themed names to go with the lake and atmosphere. Overall this place is amazing and I can't wait to get my hands on another grilled Caesar Salad. Soooo good!!!
I've been a customer for years. I've been greatly disappointed the past two, and even more so this year. You try to make a reservation and you're told no because they don't have enough staff. You try and get an order to go and they tell you no. You try to call and they don't answer. You show up 30 minutes before they close (after trying to call for an hour to place an order and they don't answer) and they tell you the kitchen is closed. If you're open to a certain time, then your kitchen should be open until that time. All the employees are standing outside smoking!! I'm over it.
A great dining experience! From friendly, helpful staff to the newly, updated inside. The best flavored steak I've ever had. I ordered the 12oz ribeye medium rare. It was sooo flavorful and perfectly prepared! The Manager Danyielle was patient and answered all my questions from history of the restaurant to things on the resort and in the area to see. Our Mixologist, Jody made us The GTB Spritz,it was the perfect cocktail! We will definitely be back when we are in the area. I'm already craving the Coconut Creme Brulee!!
Amazing staff, and atmosphere. Had beautifully cooked steaks and tuna, and hardly any room for crème brûlée. 10/10
What a GREAT PLACE- I recommend this to anyone in the area for a nice relaxing evening with dinner, drinks and a view! My husband and I have gone two times this summer season and have never been dissatisfied. This is a true gem! The service was absolutely wonderful! Both times we have enjoyed our evening by being seated next to a window for the most perfect view to enjoy with our drinks and appetizers. I recommend the crab cakes! We have tried four different entree's and have not been dissatisfied with any. Well worth the drive to make sure you have a nice relaxing evening- can be romantic. This place is GREAT!!! KUDOS and we look forward to visiting again in the future. Thank you again for yet another lovely evening filled with views both inside and out! Our waiter was perfect and he did explain they were exited to have a new chef along with menu and we were not disappointed. All three of our meals were delicious! KUDOS to another great evening thanks to Commonwealth Yacht Club!

New Las Vegas Strip speakeasy works magic, yacht rock, secrecy
L as Vegas loves its cover bands. The city is so fond of magicians that more than 20 headline on and off the Strip. We are captivated by tucked-away hideaways, quasi-secret parlor performances, and concepts with proven success.
All that and more are available at the new 1923 Live nightspot and live entertainment fortress at Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian. The venue is a spin-off of Noel Bowman’s 1923 Prohibition Bar at The Shops at Mandalay Bay.
The 1923 Live experience opens for private events at the end of May. Two ticketed shows, open to the public, are launching tentatively on June 7. The “1923” is for the room’s 1920s-era décor. The 8,000-square-foot venue overlooks the Grand Canal gondoliers.
Prepare to be amazed by the parlor presentation “Legerdemain,” a show-stopping performance by the renowned magician and stage producer Jonathan Levit. Catch his act from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Up next is Kevin Sucher’s “The Docksiders —Yacht Rock Experience.” The popular Vegas act over the past two years follows at 8:30 p.m. on those nights (tickets include two beverages and are on sale Thursday at 1923. com).
Aside from The Docksiders’ cover of Olivia Newton-John’s “Magic,” these shows are entirely unrelated.
Bowman also owns the Minus 5 Ice Bar at Mandalay Bay and the club at Grand Canal Shoppes, which sits beneath the new 1923 Live venue. The club’s only access is a pair of private elevators at Ice Bar.
Bowman’s vision is to re-energize the Vegas lounge scene with the Docksiders in the 300-seat performance space. Levit is headlining the 60-seat lounge. More live entertainment will be developed for this hybrid, public-private venue.
Levit is new to the Vegas scene. The magician’s show is presented by Tony-nominated producers Christopher Allen and Kevin Duda in partnership with veteran Vegas producers Adam Steck and Alex Schechter of SPI Entertainment. Levit developed the concept alongside creative director Benjamin Schrader.
Levit has appeared frequently at The Magic Castle in L.A. He’s also hosted VH1’s reality series “Celebracadabra,” and has appeared in “Now You See Me,” “Control” and “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.”
The format for “Legerdemain” (a magic reference to deceptive, sleight-of-hand artistry) is atmospherically similar to “Ghost Stories” at Bowman’s Mandalay Bay club and “The Magician’s Study,” which performs in unannounced MGM Resorts venues.
“This is a show that involves not only the magician performer but also the host and the bartender as your host for the evening,” Levit says. “There is byplay and banter between those two characters as they interact with each other and the audience. There are moments of intimate sleight of hand magic, balanced with comedic and interactive elements within the show.”
For Steck, the show’s “reveal” was a showcase in January 2022 at Wassa Coulibaly’s Baobab Stage at Town Square.
“I went with my wife, Bri , and we were blown away. We’ve always kept in the back of our heads where it might fit in,” Steck says. “When Noel asked if we’d like to participate in this project, it was the first act I thought would be perfect for a 50-60 capacity show.”
The Docksiders, a popular and well-traveled vessel over the past two years, quickly becoming a favorite of the Vegas entertainment community.
Sucher fronts the breezy, buoyant band with his vocalist wife, Erin. They sample yacht-rock favorites Toto, Lionel Richie, Christopher Ross, Hall and Oates, Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, and (for Erin) Olivia Newton-John.
Donning blue blazers, white slacks, and captains’ hats, The Docksiders played The Duomo at Rio for eight weeks beginning September 2022. The show has since performed at Notoriety Live From May to November 2023, headlined at Sand Dollar Downtown at the Plaza, stormed through Casablanca in Mesquite on March 8, and prospered in a pair of U.S. tours.
A three-time Grammy nominee and expert in production, Sucher is using the 1923 Live show to catapult the Docksiders to opportunities elsewhere.
“I’m hopeful that being at 1923 Live will help us market our touring shows differently,” Sucher says. We’re also hopeful of serving the locals we have come to love with Venetian’s free three-hour parking.” He means vehicles, folks—not boats.

Stopped and used this Marina to visit onsite Customs & Immigration to clear-in. It was fast and efficient, however the Marina has begun charging a $50 landing fee, which is an excessive money grab. $20 I'd be okay with, but $50 for an hour stop is steep.

Cost of Cabana Rentals at Disney World. When we called to check the price of cabanas for 2024, we were quoted an average price of $350.00 per day plus tax for all three resorts. This is a significant price difference from the $318.00 we paid (including tax) only two years ago. Disney World's resort cabanas can be reserved at 60 days out.
