Enjoy a catamaran sailing trip around Petempich Bay in Puerto Morelos and explore the underwater beauty snorkeling in the second world’s largest reef system, home to more than 65 kinds of stony coral, 350 mollusks species, and more than 500 fish species.

Pick up at your hotel or meeting point. We had a fantastic day on the catamaran. The transportation pick up service from our hotel was excellent and the driver arrived on time. The team were very professional and on hand throughout the sail. The sandbar was great and we had a small number on our boat…only 8 in total which was perfect!

This was a highlight of our trip in Riviera Maya. I took my 10 year old daughter and she loved it. Excellent crew and the most beautiful water to enjoy without another boat in sight. Beer was cold and plentiful, the simple sandwich lunch was fine and tasted good after swimming. Highly recommend!

This was a fun time! We were picked up at our resort at 11:45 and brought to the marina. There were 12 people on our boat. There was plenty of room on the catamaran for all of us to walk around freely The staff was very attentive and offered us a variety of drinks. The height of the sandbar is very dependent on the ocean. The day we went, the water was about 4 feet high. We spent about 45 minutes in the water. We got back on the boat and we had a light lunch consisting of chips, apple, and cold meat sandwich. We got back to the marina about 4:15 and back to our resort by 5:00pm

Such an awesome chill & relaxing boat day!! Angel & the crew were awesome and went over and beyond to make sure everyone was having fun! The sandbar was in the middle of the ocean and was amazing. The drinks were free flowing and the people on board with us were fun!

The ocean was majestic, as we travelled an hour on the catamaran. Once reaching our destination - a sandbar in the middle of the sea - we jumped in to swim. The beauty of the ocean was not lost on us, but the company on board is what made the 4-hour tour memorable. Starting with the crew of Jose and Angel and Yuri, we met a delightful couple from the United States (outside of Denver), and a family from Germany (who came to Mexico to avoid the heat in Europe!), and a joyful couple from Monterrey. The company made the time fly by as we shared stories sipping on cold beers and rum punch. Lunch was filling, packed as if your mother was nourishing you for your journey. Just another great day in Mexico!

Had a great time, very beautiful and service was best I’ve ever had! Would definitely recommend if you like boats.

It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We were picked up at our hotel in a comfortable air-conditioned van. We received instructions about the excursion once we arrived at the dock and were pleasantly surprised that the catamaran was bigger and had more seating than the one pictured (but the pictured catamaran should better reflect the actual one). The captain and crew were wonderful, helpful and energetic. The ride was beautiful and our stop at the sandbar was so much fun! We also enjoyed hanging out on the suspended mats on the front of the boat. They offered plenty of drinks, and the boxed lunch was acceptable (but could have been better…). Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

Crew was great. The trip was pleasant but we were not able to find the sandbar. They stopped and let people off in the middle of nowhere. For those you cannot swim, this is not the right trip. No as advertised.

It was a wonderful day. Beautiful boat, great lunch, a plenty to drink. The sand bar was gorgeous just a bit deeper than expected for a sand bar.

We were picked up at our resort on time and arrived at La Bonita Marina to check in, pay our docking fees ($15 each - pretty standard for any excursion out of a marina) and head out to sea in a beautiful catamaran. There was plenty of room on the catamaran for the 15 guests and four staff members. Our "tour director" Jose gave us the rundown on safety, schedule, use of the lavatory, and the areas of the boat for us to hang out. Then we were off! Our group immediately started introducing ourselves and learning about each other's lives when not in paradise. We were blessed to be sailing with folks from the US and Canada (and YES - they are extremely nice people!) Jose, Freddy, and Martin were constantly refilling our drinks, helping us maneuver around the boat safely and ensuring our every need was met. We sailed out to the sand bar - which was just as beautiful as all of the pictures AND we WERE the only boat there (no "fake" pictures on Tripadvisor that end up being completely false when in reality.) The waters were high for our trip - so the water was over our heads, or up to our shoulders in one area. My husband snorkeled around a bit, and my son and I just hung out on the floating mats with our new friends. After an hour that flew by, we were asked to return to the catamaran, were allowed to rinse ourselves off with warm, fresh water from a hose on board, and then had a simple, but good, lunch of a ham sandwich, chips and an apple. We then pulled up anchor and headed out to sea for a relaxing ride. We continued to enjoy great conversation with the other guests on board, all the beverages we could possibly want, and super comfortable resting spots at the front of the boat. I highly suggest grabbing a spot on the netting in the front of the boat. It is very comfortable, you are less likely to get sea sick, and ...it's just cool! We slowly made our way back to the marina and said our goodbyes to our new friends and our hosts. We all agreed this was one of, it not THE best, excursions we had ever been on. The ONLY thing that could have made it a little better is more time on the sand bar. Thank you to our wonderful hosts for helping us make memories we will always remember! The people at the marina were amazing and nice, they escorted us to the pier and the boat, and we were handed off to the lovely crew of the Catamaran. There was plenty of room for everyone on the boat, and after a little bit we arrived at the sandbar. Along the way, they made sure we had drinks, and we had also brought along some snacks. I have to say that this was the one of the best we have ever done. We were originally book for Saturday, but the weather was not the greatest. We not only got an email from the manager Jorge saying that Monday would probably be better, but also he called me to explain and ensure I received the email. On Monday morning I received an email saying that he was watching the weather and would let me know shortly. An hour later I received a call that the weather, initially a bit overcast but cleared up once we were on the water, should be fine and that we would be going. I can't express how much I appreciated the constant communication from Jorge putting me at ease that we were in good hands. The shuttle arrived 5 minutes Earley from our scheduled pick up time and the driver, I can't remember his name but I think it was Christobal or Chrisitan, was great pointing out different resorts and telling us what to expect on the trip. We arrived at Marina La Bonita in just over 10 minutes as our resort was close to the Marina. We were dropped off 5 feet from a very nice air conditioned office that had very nice clean bathrooms as my wife need to use them. After a short couple minute check in process we were escorted down a short paved path to the beach. Just a short 50 yard or so walk down the beach and we arrived at the dock where we were welcomed aboard a very nice catamaran. Immediately the crew offered us a drink with a nice selection of liquors and mixers. Many of the excursions we have done in the past offered us one or two drinks over a period of 3-4 hours. On this trip the crew was so attentive and were constantly asking if we would like another drink before we were even finished with the one we had. Once the other two couple that were going on the trip the arrived the captain Martin fired up the engines and pulled away from the dock. Immediately one of the mates Juan gave us a 5 minute talk about what to expect, different sections of the catamaran to hang out in, where the very nice/clean bathroom was located, available drinks/food, etc. He ended with "forget about your jobs, forget about your worries, forget about everything and just enjoy" and that is exactly what we did. During the talk Angel, AKA El Diablo, was making sure everyone had a drink of their choice in their hand. After a gorgeous hour long sail up the coast we arrived at the sandbar where they dropped anchor and put out very large floats. We jumped in the crystal clear water, which was about 3-4 feet deep and enjoyed the day hanging out with the other two couples that were on the trip. My wife grabbed her googles and swam around a bit and climbed up on the float to hang out in the sun. Once it was time to leave we climbed up the ladder and were immediately offer a fresh water hose to rinse off before given towels to use to dry off. Next we were given lunch, which consisted of a really good cuban sandwich, a bag of chips and an apple. And of course we were offered more drinks. On the way back they were able to turn off the engines and put up the sails. We migrated to the front of the boat where we hung out in the netting that they had lined with towels and enjoyed the sail back to the marina. Once we returned to the marina it was a short walk back down the beach to the shuttles that were waiting with the AC running ready to take us back to our resorts. If you are looking for a fun relaxing 4 hour tip this is the one for you. Again I can't say enough about the manager Jorges communication and the entire crew.
