ST. JOHNS RIVER

The St. Johns River is one of the safest and easiest gateways from the Atlantic Ocean. The source of the river, or headwaters, is a large marshy area in Indian River County that flows north and turns eastward at Jacksonville to its mouth in the Atlantic. The St. Johns is Florida’s longest river at 310 miles, but the stretch from Sanford to Mayport provides an enjoyable cruise.

What is a boat club.

Carefree Boat Club is a private club. This means that our boats are only available to Members. We do not rent or charter our boats. Our members are the only ones with unlimited access to the fleet and they  never pay a fee to use the boats .

Is It Truly "Unlimited?"

Yes! Members have true unlimited access to boats.  Boat as much as you like .    

Is It Worth The Price?

It really is. With membership as little as 1/3 cost of owning a boat, you can cross numerous expenses off your list such as: boat purchase, slip fee, insurance, maintenance, repairs, taxes, towing and winterization.

How Does The Training Work?

All members get as much training as they need on and off the water. "On The Water" training is done with a certified instructor. Training covers CBC processes, general navigation, docking and safety.

How Soon Can I Get On The Water?

After joining, new members (without boating experience) can normally be boating within days of joining. If you have previous boat training, you can be on the water even sooner.

Are The Boats Well-Maintained?

Absolutely, in fact, all boats are inspected weekly by the CBC dock staff using a 50 point checklist of safety equipment, hull condition, electronics, and general mechanical items.

No Check-Ins on Saturday or Sunday: •    Club house fee for access to laundry and pool at a daily rate of $5.00 or monthly $40.00 •    Rates subject to change without notice; all sites and site‐types are subject to availability  •    $5 per day or $60 per month per extra person charges above two (applies to seven years or older)  •    6‐month, 6/6, and annual occupants are subject to background checks at a nominal fee

Electric: •    Electric is included with weekly rates •    Electricity will be sub‐metered for stays of 30 days or more at actual cost plus $5 administrative fee  •    Electric deposit of $95 required for monthly stay or longer

Payment:   •    Visa, MasterCard, and Discover are accepted for daily, weekly, and monthly stays and all reservation deposits •    Rates are subjected to taxes

Cancellation and Refund Policies:   •    Reservation deposit of $95.00 (Cancellation required at least 15 days prior to start date or deposit will be forfeited)  •    There is a $35 processing fee for all cancellations  •    No refunds on early departures

Live-aboard rates apply to all vessels which have persons staying aboard for 11 days in any month or any vessel which uses electricity  for air conditioning at all times.

Requirements: 1. Individual Identification  2. Vessel registration or Federal Docs. 3. Insurance policy with watercraft liability limits of no less than 300,000.   Lease: The lease is a monthly lease with a 2 month minimum. Payment of first month and a security deposit (equal to one month rent) in advance. Either party may end this lease upon receipt of 30 days written notice.
