The Mangusta 110 is one of the most impressive models from the Italian yard, featuring exceptional performances, while accommodating up to 8 guests in the utmost luxury. The yachts are powered by twin MTU 16V 2000 M94, providing them with a maximum range of 420nm. 

The flybridge is the ideal spot to steer the yacht at full speed for any owner that likes to drive the boat himself. While at anchor the sunpads will offer a cocoon of peace and tranquilly to guests searching for a spot to soak in the sun in privacy. 

The main deck of the yacht offers a massive cockpit ideal to throw a party in St Tropez or Miami and entertain a large group of guests. The bow features a stunning lounge, ideal to laze in the sun in the utmost privacy. The main salon offers a stellar range of lounging and seating options as well as a formal dining, ideal to receive guests in the utmost luxury.

She is the four-cabin version, with the master cabin full beam at midship, two double cabins, and a twin forward, all with a hi-fi entertainment system, and ensuite heads.

M/Y Ares underwent a number of refits during the years, the last one was in 2016/17 and she is commercially registered under the Cook Island flag.

Mangusta Yachts a stylish Italian line of boats, originated in 1985. The sleek brand was started by members of the Balducci family, and is still family-owned. The shipyard facilities are based in Viareggio, Lucca, Italy, and operate as just one of more than 15 companies in the Overmarine Group S.p.A. family.

With several top lines, the Mangusta yachts website offers luxury as well as long-range travel models, and has completed more than 300 vessels delivered to-date.

Multiple Production Facilities

The Mangusta line is manufactured in three production facilities in Italy and covers a total of 190,000 square meters of covered and uncovered space.

The metal-working yard, Darsena Pisana, is the facility in Pisa where several yachts up to 70 meters can be fabricated simultaneously in the company’s 22,000 square meter facility. The property also houses a showroom and technical department.

Headquarters are located in the shipyard in Viareggio where the Mangusta Maxi Open models are built. Home to the design team, this yard includes both the creative and technical arms of the company’s yacht development and offers on-site continued care with follow-up service for after yacht sales.

Top-of-the-line composite construction, engineering, and technology are housed in the production yard in Massa.

Just Some Mangusta Awards

The Mangusta GranSport 45 has been awarded top model several times, including being named for a Boat International’s World Superyacht Award in 2020. Honored as the semi-displacement or planing motor yacht below 500 gross tons and 35m and above, the Overmarine facility enlisted Studio Plana as naval architect, Pierluigi Ausonio as engineer, and Alberto Mancini as exterior designer for the job.

The aluminum Gransport was honored above five other yachts in the diverse category and was noted for the ability to cruise at 29 knots and have long-range efficiency with a 4,200 nautical mile capability. 

Overmarine Group’s Mangusta 110 was a finalist for the 10th annual Boat International’s World Superyacht Awards in 2015 in the semi-displacement or planing motor two-deck motor yacht in the 30m to 37.99m category (the category included raised pilothouse designs). The Mangusta 165 was a finalist for the World Superyacht Awards in 2011 and the Mangusta 130 was a finalist in 2013.

The ‘Barca dell’Anno’ award was bestowed on Overmarine Group's Mangusta 165E maxi open motor yacht Moonraker in 2014 and the yacht debuted at the Monaco Yacht Show.

Always a crowd-pleaser at boat shows, the debut Mangusta Oceano 42, M/Y Namastè , was awarded best of show by NBC Sports during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in 2018. Described as the most innovative design on display, the three-deck long-range Overmarine was designed by Alberto Mancini.

Rhapsody, a 2009 Paragon 94, underwent an extensive refit by Lyman Morse in 2018. The 94-foot motoryacht is currently listed for $2.975 million with Worth Avenue Yachts, which represents a $750,000-plus price reduction.

The refit included servicing all equipment and systems, updating soft goods, adding a dining area, transforming the flybridge into an enclosed skylounge and repainting the upper deck space.

Twin 1,550 hp Caterpillar C-32 diesel engines work with the yacht’s planing hull form (with 13.5-degree transom deadrise) to help propel this 100-ton motoryacht to a 20-knot top hop and a 14-knot cruise speed. The engines have just over 2,000 hours on them.

Rhapsody ’s salon has a traditional and warm interior, aided by sole-to-ceiling, rich mahogany, neutral tones and natural light via 10 windows around the space. The seating arrangement includes two lounge chairs and a three-person sofa that are positioned around a coffee table to port. The cabinet to starboard houses a hidden flat-screen TV. Forward to starboard is a wet bar, an ice maker and a wine cooler, while a desk area is to port.

“The current 94-footer gets an extra eight feet in the superstructure, which Robinson divvied up into several areas,” Yachting previously reported . “As a result, the salon is, well, it’s simply immense. It stretches 26 feet from the twin sliding doors on the afterdeck to the forward bulkhead that hides the galley. If you consider for a moment, you’ll realize that far larger yachts don’t have 26-foot salons.”

Past the forward bulkhead is the galley, which has a cherrywood floating sole, granite countertops, satin-finish mahogany cabinetry and side-deck access through a portside hinged Freeman Dutch door. Galley appliances include:

• Two Sub-Zero full-height refrigerator with two freezer drawers at bottom section
• Fisher & Paykel double-drawer dishwasher
• GE “Profile” trash compactor; GE microwave with exhaust fan
• Viking gas stove/oven with removable butcher block top
• Instant hot-water dispenser
• Insinkerator stainless-steel garbage disposal 

Farther forward is the formal dining, where a six-person dining table with burl inlay sits beneath the raked windows. An electrically operated divider separates the dining space and the galley.

The skylounge has a two-seat helm station forward and two L-shaped dinettes flanking the centerline. The after section of the flybridge is open and split into two zones with tender stowage aft and an open living space forward. Forward of the tender and davit is an inboard-facing U-shaped dinette with two fixed high-gloss wood tables. A grill station is located to port.

The cockpit has a four-person transom bench seat with two high-gloss tables, making it a go-to spot for alfresco dining. Wide side decks and high bulwarks make for safe passage to and from the foredeck, which has a built-in lounge pad for catching some rays during the day or stargazing at night.

When the day comes to an end and it’s time to turn in, there are three staterooms belowdecks. In addition to a walkaround king berth with under berth stowage, the full-beam amidships master stateroom has nightstands with drawers, a cedar-lined walk-in closet and a his-and-hers en suite head. The VIP stateroom is also amidships, but with a queen berth and a portside settee that converts to a full-size berth. The final guest stateroom is in the bow with a queen berth and an en suite head.
