Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 11: "Let Them Eat Cake" "Capt. Glenn notices the standards are slipping on Parsifal lll as the crew is exhausted with the mid-season blues. On charter, after anchoring in their first destination, Parsifal lll nearly drags into a neighboring boat."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 12: "T-Bone with Stakes" "Capt. Glenn notices the crew is slipping on service when a guest is injured, and interior doesn’t hear the walkie call forcing Capt. Glenn to up the guest maintenance standards onboard. Shaken after a close T-Bone with a nearby boat, Gary is confused when his advances to Mads aren’t being reciprocated."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 13: "Hurricane Bonnie" "Captain Glenn reprimands the crew as recent slip-ups are directly affecting communication and morale; Daisy breaks down when she's proven wrong about the walkies not working; Chef Ileisha is determined to prove she can complete a 10-course dinner."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 14: "Boat Load of Throuples" "Capt. Glenn threatens to kick one of the 'throuple' charter guests off Parsifal during a drunken guest fight. Unhappy with Gary, Alex and Colin decide to follow their hearts instead."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 15: "Man Buns Has it Been Fun": "Proud of his team’s accomplishments during the final sail, Capt. Glenn believes his tough love made them all stronger. The crew celebrates their final night out and Daisy and Colin try to soak up every moment of it. Following tearless goodbyes, Capt. Glenn and Gary stay onboard Parsifal to pick up another charter season."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 cast

Captain Glenn Shepherd returns to helm the Parsifal III. This is his fourth season on the series, but he's no stranger to the ship. He's been helming the Parsifal III for over a decade.

Captain Glenn will be joined once again by Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher, first mate Gary King and engineer Colin MacRae.

New to the series are chef Ileisha Dell, stews Lucy Edmunds and Mads Herrera and deckhands Chase Lemacks and Alex Propson.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 plot

Bravo offered this synopsis of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 and it gives you a good sense of what's coming in the new season:

"Capt. Glenn and his comeback team Daisy Kelliher, Gary King and Colin MacRae resume their responsibilities aboard Parsifal III, along with new, dynamic crew members, as they set sail in Sardinia, Italy. Capt. Glenn realizes that his laid-back leadership style has allowed his crew to become too comfortable and starts taking charge of quality control in the interior department, much to Daisy's dismay.

"In the galley, Chef Ileisha’s cooking impresses the guests, but her indecisiveness and co-dependency lead to time-management issues between courses, which causes her to self-destruct. On deck, strong personalities collide, and a power struggle results in a near mutiny, as Gary clashes with his new overconfident deckhand, Chase.

"Two overlapping love triangles further complicate the dynamics on-board, and a shocking hookup puts Colin, Daisy and Gary’s friendship in jeopardy. With a near collision, fire, crew rebellion, gruesome guest injury and two different potentially season-ending engine failures, this is the most captivating and unpredictable season yet of Below Deck Sailing Yacht ."

Fans Have Been Wondering If Gary King Will Return To Below Deck Following Sexual Misconduct Allegations, His ‘Hope’

Will Gary be back on Below Deck Sailing Yacht? Here's the reality star's response to fans.

Gary King on Below Deck Sailing Yacht

The Below Deck franchise has featured plenty of drama since its inception, but the proceedings became particularly controversial when series star Gary King was accused of sexual assault this summer. As a result, his future with the franchise has been up in the air ever since. Now, the first mate has given Bravo fans an update on whether we'll be seeing him back on the small screen anytime soon. King specifically shared the "hope" he has.

One such fan commented, "There's a life after Below Deck for you," on a photo that Gary King recently posted to Instagram. His response was an optimistic one:

I hope so, will have to see but will definitely be trying to stay on peoples tv screens.

While it's a brief statement, by the sounds of it, Gary King is indeed remaining upbeat about his chances of returning to the show. You can see the actual post he shared to Instagram down below:

A post shared by Gary King (@king_gk) A photo posted by on

Another follower told him to "hang in there" and "get his job back." The South Africa native joined the Below Deck Sailing Yacht 's (occasionally tipsy) cast in the show's second season and has served as Captain Glenn Shephard's first mate aboard the Parsifal III yacht in the seasons since. When responding to the aforementioned social media user who told him to stay strong, the star said:

I will do and hopefully be back on your screens, everyday I’m trying to better myself so hopefully if they ask me back you’ll see this xx

In Gary King's previous Instagram post, which was added to his social media page a day earlier, he can be seen laying in a field of daisies and smiling. Several hashtags accompany the image, including "#iwascancelledbecauseofalie," "#anythingforaplatformT," "#dontbelieveeverythingyousee," and "#ivegotmyheadheldhigh," among others. He captioned the post:

It’s sad that people will do anything in their power to bring you down. It’s not about how you fall but how you get up. Luckily for me, the fall was into a sea of daisies.

All in all, it would appear that the reality TV star is looking to block out anything that he perceives as negativity amid the situation. You can check out his post below:

The media personality previously discussed his self-proclaimed "cancellation," which stems from accusations made by a Below Deck production assistant. She alleged that King made unwanted advances towards her during the filming of Sailing Yacht 's fourth season.

Samantha Suarez, who worked in the makeup department for the series, detailed her alleged interactions with Gary King in Rolling Stone . In that piece, she claimed that, after she was asked to check in on an inebriated King in his hotel room in the summer of 2022, he "came up behind her, grabbed her, pressed her against his body, and refused to let go of her." With force, Suarez was able to leave the room, after which she alerted the production team to the situation. The next day, producers reportedly removed King from the hotel where the cast and crew were staying and was instructed to sleep alone on the boat during their days off from filming .

Along with the accusations against him, Samantha Suarez and other former employees, who asked to remain anonymous, accused Bravo of allegedly helping cover up King’s misconduct. One such employee told the publication:

It was insane. There were multiple incidents of sexual harassment in front of multiple producers after this person had been given verbal warnings multiple times. I had to promote and make this guy who just assaulted someone look awesome. That was my job, to make this person look cool, capable and exciting.

The network released a statement claiming that investigations into Gary King's alleged behavior were made and "action was taken based on the findings." The entire message read as follows:

Bravo is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful workplace for cast and crew on our reality shows. We require our third-party production companies to have appropriate workplace policies and trainings in place and a clear process on how to report concerns. The concerns Ms. Suarez raised in July 2022 were investigated at that time and action was taken based on the findings.

Though initially announced as a BravoCon guest in August, Gary King was quietly removed from the festival lineup in the aftermath of the scandal. However, he has maintained his innocence ever since the allegations arose this past summer, commenting to a fan on Instagram:

I know [that I did nothing wrong], and I know the truth but it still hurts when people will tell lies to bring you down.

His most recent appearances on Sailing Yacht revolved around his rumored romance with chief stew Daisy Kelliher , with whom he was embroiled in a messy love triangle alongside head engineer Colin MacRae.

As for scandals, the Below Deck franchise has been hit with many of them recently. For example, the Down Under ousted two of its stars following sexual misconduct-related matters. In the first instance, a producer had to intervene when series star Luke Jones attempted to get into co-worker Margot Sisson’s bed naked and without her consent. In the second, Laura Bileskalne was let go for her aggressive and unrequited pursuit of deckhand Adam Kodra. Franchise veteran Captain Lee dubbed their behavior "despicable."

In the case of Gary King, will he be welcomed back aboard the next season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht ? There's been official word from Bravo as of this, so we'll be keeping our eyes peeled on the 2024 TV schedule for a premiere date and cast information. In the meantime, you can catch up on previous seasons of BDSY with a  Peacock subscription .

All The Flings Gary King Was Involved In On Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Gary King walking

Delivering five-star service on a moving vessel where guest expectations exceed reality is not a career for the faint of heart, just ask any seasoned deckhand or stewardess. Add in the added pressure of tight-living spaces, unpredictable weather, and 14-hour workdays — and the stress could make just about anyone crumble. What keeps yachties going are fat tips and spending time in some of the most luxurious places in the world. Another factor is the carefree — and generally attractive — twenty-to-thirty-something crew members that choose to make money aboard a floating hotel. Hookups are bound to happen, even in the smallest of bunk beds, making the charter season more bearable or a downright disaster — depending on how things play out.

Lucky for us viewers, we get to watch it all go down on Bravo's " Below Deck ." The docu-series follows the ins and outs of yachties aboard some of the chicest motor yachts in the world. The popular series also spanned several spin-offs including " Below Deck Mediterranean ," " Below Deck Down Under ," and "Below Deck Sailing Yacht." From multi-course meals adorned with flakes of gold to elaborate-themed parties where no request is too extreme, "Below Deck" delivers drama year after year. When they're not serving guests, many of these yachties are blowing off steam by hooking up with each other. No one knows it better than "BDSY" alumni Gary King, who has had his fair share of love affairs. We're taking a look at all the flings Gary King was involved in on "Below Deck Sailing Yacht."

Gary King had a thing for Alli Dore

It was a turbulent season for bosun Gary King on Season 2 of "Below Deck Sailing Yacht." The New Zealander dove right into the drama on his debut season, stealing the hearts of not one but two of his coworkers. While he didn't waste any time having a one-night-stand with his co-worker Sydney Zaruba early on in the season, King's affections quickly shifted to Alli Dore. After establishing with Zaruba he didn't want to pursue anything further, his relationship with Dore began to heat up.

The stewardess ultimately found out about King and Zaruba's hookup, however, — and chose to break things off with the bosun. "I felt like I had no choice. I couldn't continue to act on something that I didn't feel was right," she shared on Instagram Live (via  Reality Blurb! ). Despite trying to steer clear (pun intended) of her feelings for King, their relationship picked back up again towards the end of the season. The two of them remained on the yacht after the charter season ended to assist in the boat's crossing.

"Yeah, Alli and I, actually, that's where we built our relationship up, and we actually, I'd say, became a couple, if I can say that, Alli, for the crossing until we got to Palma," King revealed on the reunion episode. Ultimately distance did not make the heart grow fonder, however, and Dore and King called it quits upon the stewardess returning to Australia.

His love triangle with Sydney Zaruba imploded

While Gary King may have moved on from Sydney Zaruba early on after their hookup, she didn't take too kindly to their romance fizzling out. Zaruba made digs at Alli Dore throughout the season after King made it known he had feelings for the stewardess. Zaruba opened up about her actions on " Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen " saying, "All I know is things that happened in this season and things that I said were not indicative of who I am, and I'm very upset about the way that I portrayed myself because I was hurting and feeling rejected on national television."

Dore revealed during the reunion episode that Zaruba slept with King knowing that the bosun had a long-term girlfriend at home. King later admitted he was unfaithful to his ex-girlfriend and broke things off, saying, "I couldn't live with myself for knowing what I had done." The messy love triangle between King and the two yachties played out on television, and Zaruba's hurt feelings strained any hope for a friendship with Dore. "You've only cared about how you've looked on TV. You haven't, like, one-on-one, tried to contact me and say, 'I'm so sorry for the things that I said.' You really hurt my feelings. I'm just really emotional about it," Dore revealed on "WWHL." While Zaruba apologized to Dore during the reunion episode, she admitted she hadn't reached out sooner because she was still processing and self-reflecting.

Gary King said Ashley Marti didn't assault him

You can't teach an old dog new tricks, just like you can't expect Gary King not to hook up with his crew members. Season 3 of "Below Deck Sailing Yacht" proved to be just as messy for King as Season 2, as he once again couldn't resist the temptation of the stewardesses onboard. He quickly caught the eye of Ashley Marti, who made her attraction for the bosun known almost immediately.

Marti and King ultimately spent the night together, but their drunken tryst quickly became the topic of viewer backlash. Fans criticized the stewardess for what they felt was her coercing a heavily intoxicated King into hooking up with her. King shut down the rumors on " Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen ." When asked whether or not he felt assaulted, he responded, "I don't, and I appreciate everyone standing up for me, but I've got a voice of my own and I could use it if I felt I was assaulted."

As per Marti, she skipped out on the reunion episode amidst the controversy. "'I did not have the energy nor the desire to continue to be a puppet for Bravo, in addition to feeling like I would not be able to fully tell my side of the story due to editing," she wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post (via  Daily Mail ). She did cash in on her OnlyFans account, however, tweeting , "I love waking up and seeing that in a couple hours, I've made more money than #Bravo paid me for 6 weeks."

Gary King was involved with Gabriela Barragan

Ashley Marti wasn't the only stewardess Gary King had his eye on in Season 3 of "Below Deck Sailing Yacht." Gabriela Barragan had her own flirtation with the bosun while onboard Parsifal III. Marti, who seemingly had more feelings for King than he had for her, was less than thrilled with her two co-workers getting cozy. In one clip, Marti confides in Barragan about her sexual frustrations onboard, when King interrupts the stewardesses' girl chat by flirting. Barragan tells the bosun, "We're all way out of your league," to which he replies, "I know you are, so don't kiss me again." King then goes on to admit that he had kissed all the women onboard, except for one female deckhand. In her confessional, Marti is put off by the situation, admitting, "This whole Gabriela-Gary situation is f***ing frustrating — like I could have f***ed Gary already."

With King in the middle of the stewardesses' love triangle, the shade-throwing between Marti and Barragan got even more tense as the charter season went on. King and Barragan's fleeting romance was ultimately cut short after the stewardess chose to leave mid-charter-season after struggling with her mental health. On " Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen ," Barragan admitted she was shocked to see Marti diss her behind her back when episodes aired. "I honestly did not know how much she hated me until I saw the episodes ... to my face she wasn't so nasty."

Things heated up between Gary King and Scarlett Bentley

When Gabriela Barragan called it quits in Season 3, stewardess Scarlett Bentley joined the Parsifal III crew to save the day. The blonde bombshell was an immediate distraction for Gary King, who had already involved himself with co-workers Ashley Marti and Barragan while onboard. They say the third time's the charm — but as far as stewardesses go — King's attraction for Bentley only caused more drama.

During Season 3 Episode 13, Bentley admits that King's constant flirting leaves her worried about her working relationship with Marti. "He is fun to flirt with. I love it. But there's tension with Ashley and I don't want any drama ... like I feel like I have to keep it good. It's so annoying," Bentley says in her confessional. In the preview clip, King eventually makes his move on Bentley in the most romantic of places — the laundry room. After allegedly looking for his shorts, the two wind up making out. "You know, I don't know what is about Scarlett that I'm attracted to," the bosun says in his confessional, "I mean she's definitely flirting with me, and I'm going to flirt back because I'm quite a flirtatious person."

Ultimately, their romance burned out as bright as it began, with mounting tensions with Marti being a major factor. Bentley eventually found love off of "Below Deck Sailing Yacht," and lives in San Diego, as of this writing. She frequently posts Instagram snaps with her personal trainer boyfriend, Joey Lennon.

Does Gary King have a thing for Daisy Kelliher?

Ever since Gary King and Daisy Kelliher made their debut in Season 2 of "Below Deck Sailing Yacht," fans have pushed for them to be together. They've maintained a close friendship — that sometimes leads to drunken make-outs — throughout their time together on the series. Kelliher has always downplayed her relationship with King as platonic, even if Parsifal III's Captain Glenn Shephard doesn't agree. "I wasn't surprised at all," Captain Shephard said of their hot tub makeout during the reunion. "There's obviously something going on there."

Season 4 promises to shake things up between the two yachties. After Kelliher hooks up with King's best friend and Chief Engineer Colin Macrae, King is forced to re-evaluate his feelings for the chief stew. "I'd say to a certain extent I was a bit jealous," King told Us Weekly . "Daisy and I, we do have a connection regardless of whether she denies it or not," he added. "And I think anyone in this world will be a bit jealous if they see the person that they've got a connection with hooking up with someone else. I mean, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous."

As for Kelliher, she told Page Six , "Why did he care? He had three years to come and get me, and he never did, so like, f**k off." She went on to admit she felt it was King's hurt ego, and less of his hurt feelings, that caused his reaction to the hookup.

Gary King caught feelings for stewardess Mads Herrera

Is there ever a charter season in which Gary King doesn't find himself attracted to one or more stewardesses? From his track record over the last three seasons, his hookup streak shows no sign of stopping. Season 4 of "Below Deck Sailing Yacht" saw returning cast members as well as new faces, and the chief officer wasted no time getting cozy with the interior department. Stewardess Mads Herrera has been the object of his affection for this charter season — when he's not flirting with his good friend and chief stew Daisy Kelliher.

Herrera and King hooked up shortly after the season began. The news put deckhand Alex Propson in an awkward position, who also was interested in the stewardess. In an Entertainment Tonight preview clip, King interrupts a flirty conversation between Propson and Herrera to define his hookup with the stewardess. "Now that we've hooked up twice, I just want to know what you want out of it?" he asks. "If you want a casual hook-up, by all means, I'm all down for that," he says in the clip. "I'm fine with that," Herrera replies while giggling. The chief officer goes on to jokingly call her out for flirting with other crew members.

Despite King's protests, Herrera has a mind — and flirt — of her own. "I don't want anyone to, like, hinder me," she revealed in her confessional. "I'll flirt with Alex if I want to. Tell me what to do, I'll tell you to f**k off."

Quote Capt. Glenn finally wakes up to some good news; the entire crew is invited to join the guests for dinner, and chef Ileisha must change her menu in the last minute.

Hasn't aired yet, but I'm assuming from the title that Gary is back. It's weird that any group would invite " all"  the crew to dinner. There is the issue of service. It's going to be unfair to expect two members to serve everyone, as well as a burdon on the chef. The right way to do it is hire freelance servers from shore and give the chef plenty of advance notice (like before the charter starts). I suspect producer shenanigans. We'll see.

The chef (and Colin) pulled off dinner for guests and crew, and it looked delicious. I haven't decided if Chase is getting a bad edit, or if Gary has the right to be so annoyed with him.

Gary is really coming across a bigger arsehole than normal this episode, purely because one of the deck crew kissed Daisy.

He really needs to get over himself, he's not that special, either as a person or as a first officer, and needs to start acting his age.

I don't see this.  First, it wasn't Chase that kissed Daisy, Gary knows that it was the long haired dude. Gary's issue with Chase is that he won't follow direction and is questioning his authority. Colin also noticed and encouraged Gary to nip it in the bud. Chase thinks he knows better than his direct supervisor. In the uber hierarchical yachting world, that's never going to end well.

Impressed with the Chef. Plus, she seems fun & friendly too.

The drunk montage while a bit sad was also pretty humorous.  The setup for the Captain's quarters, with the deckhand trying to drop his water bottle on Glenn's head, continues to be problematic.

Finally, nobody noticed S1 American Idol runner-up Justin Guarini?

I noticed, during the next charter meeting we saw his name on the paper but it seemed like production cut the audio as Glenn said his last name, it was odd. I wanted him to sing! Why aren't they making more of it and non of the crew has made a comment about him being a D list celeb?

The spit swapping in the hot tub was totally forced and juvenile, Truth or Dare at their age?

14 hours ago, aqusdealer said: Hasn't aired yet, but I'm assuming from the title that Gary is back. It's weird that any group would invite " all"  the crew to dinner. There is the issue of service. It's going to be unfair to expect two members to serve everyone, as well as a burden on the chef. The right way to do it is hire freelance servers from shore and give the chef plenty of advance notice (like before the charter starts). I suspect producer shenanigans. We'll see.

That whole thing was odd, what was the point?  Meanwhile cabins don't get turn down and dinner service by the interior serving and clearing for everyone, did the deck crew pitch in? Also they all had wine on duty, Sandy would have been screaming about maritime law and how unprofessional they all were being and how it is a safety issue!

How can any of the crew constantly get so loaded and function in any capacity the next day then do it all over again a few days later?

Quote I don't see this.

I think it's a bit of both. Even Colin said that Gary needed to man up and guide Chase rather than just bellyache about it. Colin saw the potential in Chase and said so. Chase seems very eager and willing. I've noticed both he and Alex calling Glenn "sir" and that shows respect. Chase even called Gary "sir" once. Chase is kind of like a big Labrador puppy. I hope Gary doesn't kill his spirit by shitting all over him. He just seems mostly annoyed with him but damn, we've seen far worse deck hands on this show who didn't want to do anything and acted like they were just there for a vacation.

Chase does need to calm down and just listen and learn, and do as he's told. But so far this is one of the most likeable crews a BD season has had in a long, long time. Don't blow it! (I know they will.)

Like a sea-soaked engine having undergone bypass surgery, these comments are in the order of episode scenes broadcast.

So right from the start we pick up on the drunken revel from the last episode.  No thanks.  These gratuitous orgy scenes aren’t even entertaining, they’re just disgusting.

Alex unable to successfully negotiate stairs and doing weird things with his water bottle and Captain Glenn, Madison puking in the loo, Lucy falling out of her bunk, and later on, a prolonged shot of Alex in his underwear scratching his butt… stay classy, Bravo.

In looking at as much as I can with what is shown, it looks like Colin’s bypass of the after cooler involved stove pipe and wrappings.  No wonder he’s worried about temperature!  With reduced engine output and the heat, it still looks a bit dangerous.

This is the third season of BDSY and the “S” is for “sailing”.  Why is it every time the boat actually sails it’s a complete surprise when it heels over and we see drawers flying open, the galley in disarray, dishware breaking, etc.?

So, a bit of drama brewing between Gary and Chase?  Wonder how this is going to play out.

After being a star in the engine room, Colin is also a star in the galley!  Not quite sure about seeing the pasta draped over the hangars – I guess one doesn’t want to know how the sausage (or in this case pasta) is made.  I suspect far worse things have happened in kitchens I’ve gotten food from.  Once again Ileisha has come through and hardly batted an eyelash.  What happened to the tradition of unstable chefs?  (:

What will happen next week?  Will Gary and Chase battle it out?  How many ladies will Gary attempt to kiss?  Will Alex realise the anchor has been dragging?  Stay tuned, if you can fast forward through the naughty bits…

LOL

We are still early in the season, I think we will see a crack in the facade soon enough...first they have an issue with the Chief Stew then service in general then we get the demanding guests then the shit show in the kitchen.

13 minutes ago, Tanukisan said: How many ladies will Gary attempt to kiss?

All of them, the answer is all of them.

I can imagine by the last charter they are lucky if the have a set of matching dishes and enough wine glasses, why is it the interior is always woefully unprepared for the heeling?

My goodness that Chase is an eager young man.

Quote a prolonged shot of Alex in his underwear scratching his butt… stay classy, Bravo.

Heh - that was Colin. Alex sleeps in an upper bunk above Glenn.

Quote After being a star in the engine room, Colin is also a star in the galley!

Did anyone else get a vibe that the chef has a bit of a thing for Colin?

I suspect there are things that simply cannot be locked down enough and still have them convenient to use so they just have to deal with it. Like the chef has to prep meals while they are sailing, she simply cannot stop and wait until it's over. Whatever the stews are engaged in during sailing like cleaning and ironing and laundry cannot be stopped either, so whatever they have out they just have to grab hold of.

I agree, as soon as Gary heard this, his whole mood soured. He was being a definite jerk when he berated Chase in front of a guest. I felt bad when Chase started his shift and was worried the Captain would assume the streaks on the metal were his sloppiness.

Nevermind the chef, I'VE  got a thing for Colin, lol.

The chef is the one person I really feel for when they're "sailing" because it seems like Glenn gives them a 5 to 15 min warning re: heeling (I always thought they were saying keeling).  If I was doing dinner prep for 16 (?) people, there's no way I'd have time to stop and/or lock things up prior to sailing. Hopefully production or crew help her during these times.

THANK YOU! I kept looking at him and honestly would not have recognized him except I just saw him on TV for something, so I recognized him on BD.  What was weird, is there was not even a quick blurb on our screen when showing his name.  Nothing.  Surely the producers had to know who he was.  I have to say he seemed pretty nice to crew so there's that.  But, wow, it must have been hard to fall into obscurity after his time on AI only to watch Kelly just kill it with her career.  Wonder what he is doing nowadays, well, besides showing up on BD.

Sad

He was doing Dr. Pepper commercials for a while and is on Broadway. Peculiar that they're treating him this way, unless he only agreed to come if they DIDN'T highlight him.

I did notice this time that they were serving drinks for sailing in what looked like rubber/weighted tumblers. And while sometimes there's no wind whatsoever, and they have to jump at any sudden opportunity, it was clear from when they woke up that morning that there would be plenty of wind to sail right away, so I think that made the kitchen prep/menu planning a lot easier, knowing the conditions for cooking and serving at lunch time.

He was agitated because he missed early production and another dude kissed Daisy. They had their first bacchanal without him. Man-bun is a man-baby. But he's a damn fine sailor.

I'm enjoying the chef, and she really met this challenge head-on.

I never fail to laugh at drunken pratfalls. Modern Three Stooges.

The sailing was beautiful. I can understand a person's desire to make a living on beautiful big sailing yachts, spending off-season in cool little European beach towns.

He's probably pretty used to Lucy falling and injuring herself.  She said she is a bit of a klutz.  I also wonder if Welsh people are similar to the English Brits: somewhat stoic and no-nonsense.  Just pick yourself up and do a better job next time.  I can't fault him for his advice.

I LOL'd and rewatched that scene with Drunk Alex and Glenn.  It seemed like Alex was confusing Glenn's head for a nightstand. Too funny!

Glenn and Gary were the guests on WWHL and they admitted to not knowing who Justin Guarini was.

Maybe it's just where I'm from but when playing Truth or Dare (as kids, BTW), didn't you choose truth or dare before you knew what the question or the dare was?   Anyhow, I agree the spit swapping was juvenile, forced -- and gross, TBH.   I've noticed this every season so why would this be different but anytime Gary is complaining about a deckhand's work ethic, he's always on a smoke break.  Stay classy, Gary.   Colin is 100% right that if Gary were a proper supervisor/boss, he would get Chase in line and Chase would be a fantastic deckhand.   He would also realize that he was out for the first two (?) charters and so Chase and Alex had to make do on their own with Colin occupied by the engine so stomping aboard the boat and barking orders and demands without actually having a crew meeting and discussing things is counterproductive.   I can't imagine that the owner of the boat (and the boats in the other BD iterations) aren't cringing watching a bunch of drunk, hungover and usually horny "crew" caring for their vessel.  Definitely a safety hazard but so far only Colin and Ileisha (sp?) have managed to control alcohol consumption and get decent sleep so they can work the next day.   I still love Colin with the fire of a thousand suns.

2 minutes ago, psychoticstate said: didn't you choose truth or dare before you knew what the question or the dare was?

Fair enough, that is a good point but the question is always the same on these boats, "Who would you hook up with?"  Silly question because the "Dare," is making someone kiss someone else.

I see Chase going in one of two directions, one he will implode and will be fired or two, he will understand the job, stop thinking for himself, do the job he was hired to do and respect Gary's rank and become a valuable member of the team...which one do you think will make for more drama?

9 minutes ago, psychoticstate said: I still love Colin with the fire of a thousand suns.

Colin can err but I agree, he sort of can do no wrong.

1 hour ago, psychoticstate said: I still love Colin with the fire of a thousand suns.

Me too. I thought it was funny that in the first episode he said he was single now and could "have some fun," but he still opted out of the stupid hot tub games. Smart man.

As a guest would you want to know that the crew was pouring alcohol in the hot tub (and probably other unmentionable stuff)?

I think Gary is one of the best first officers in the entire BD franchise.  He is excellent at his job and also at teaching his crew.  I find him funny af, but then again, a man with a great sense of humor is a must for me.  At least it was back in the day.  😉

I remember way back, before this forum developed into what it is today, a random poster said they "hated [someone] with the fire of a thousand nuns."  An effing hilarious typo that other posters re-used many times.  This would have been back in the Mighty Big TV or TWoP days with Sars and Wing Chun.

He's good at teaching and he is an extremely talented sailor. However, he still needs to work on his approach to those eager young 'uns who want to show off to him, what they know.

If he had THANKED Alex and Chase for accepting the challenge of a leaderless first charter, he could then say, "Sorry, but now you'll have to unlearn what you did, so I can show you the accepted (ie: MY) procedure for this boat." Easy peasy, no egos crushed

‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ Star Colin MacRae Says His Hook-Up With Daisy Kelliher Was “Inevitable”

‘Below Deck’ Exclusive Clip: Barbie Pascual Refuses To Change Her Signature Margarita Recipe For Fraser Olender

‘below deck’ chief stew fraser olender has a “love interest” of his own this season: “i’ve always been a third wheel”, former ‘below deck’ charter guests hit choppy waters as they are charged with identity theft in prescription drug scheme, alex propson on whether or not casual sex can exist in ‘winter house’: “it’s difficult, but i don’t think it’s impossible”.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans are going to see a lot of Colin MacRae this season—and that is perfectly okay. Back for his third season on the hit Bravo show, MacRae is forced to deal with a harrowing mechanical issue in the premiere episode before the first charter guests even step onboard. Everyone’s favorite Chief Engineer was shocked to discover that the engine was filled with salt water rather than clean oil and to learn that it will take two weeks to disassemble, clean and reassemble the engine before the Parsifal III is ready to hit the high seas. Fans will have to wait until next week to see if MacRae and the intrepid Captain Glenn Shephard can work their magic to make this charter season happen.

With 15 years of super yacht experience, MacRae has always been one of the coolest heads onboard the Parsifal III. However, this is the first voyage that the handsome sailor has been single, and, as evidenced by the explosive Season 4 trailer , MacRae takes full advantage. “I get into the thick of it a little bit,” said MacRae impishly. When asked about his kiss with Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher , MacRae says it was “inevitable.” “We just love each other’s company. It was just something that just happened very naturally,” mused MacRae. One person who isn’t thrilled about their sweet hook-up? MacRae’s friend First Officer Gary King who has engaged in a long flirtation with his OG cast mate Daisy over the course of four seasons. Fans will have to stay tuned to see how this dynamic will play out.

Decider spoke with MacRae over Zoom and got the scoop on the various malfunctions on the Parsifal III, his hook-up with Kelliher and why he keeps coming back season after season.

DECIDER: This is your third season on Below Deck Sailing Yacht . What keeps bringing you back? COLIN MACRAE: Captain Glenn. At the end of every season, I tell him, “If you need an engineer, give me a call.” He does, and it’s just too hard to say no. We just get along so well. The trips are always a challenge but always fun.

The Parsifal III is in rough shape at the beginning of the charter season. Did you have any idea of scope of malfunctions when you step onboard?

Nah, absolutely not. Glenn and I keep in touch between seasons, and the boat had just finished a yard period in Spain. Everything was meant to be perfect ready to go, and that just wasn’t the case.

Have you dealt with mechanical issues as severe as those on the Parsifal III previously in your career?

I have. My yachting career has been based in pretty remote places like the Seychelles Islands or Indonesia, places where parts are hard to come by. I’ve been in situations where I just have to make it work. Getting parts flown in just takes too long, and we might have a charter starting or something like that. So, I’ve been in similar situations, but nothing to this extent. This was extreme.

In the premiere episode, you get to step in for Gary due to his positive COVID test . How long has it been since you flexed those First Officer muscles? I own my own catamaran, and I run with about eight crews, so I have been a leader for quite some time. That part I was comfortable with. However, I had no idea where Gary kept things on the boat. I don’t pay attention to that stuff. I’ve got my own department on Parsifal III to worry about. It was a challenge because I just had so much going on in that first week. It was insane.

While all of your challenges that we’ve seen so far—and it’s only the first episode—are exciting, fans are even more eager to see “single” Colin in action for the first time. How do you think they’ll react? I believe there’s a little bit of excitement around that fact [laughs]. The first two seasons I was able to sit back and just be nice and respectful to my partners at the time and stay out of trouble, but nothing holds me back this season. I get into the thick of it a little bit.

In the trailer, we see you and Daisy hooking up. Is there anything you can tease about that? We’ve always had chemistry. We just love each other’s company. It was just something that happened very naturally, something that neither of us were really expecting. However, at the same time, our getting together was probably inevitable if we were both single at the right place at the right time.

Someone who wasn’t happy about your hookup was Gary, whom we see accusing Daisy of “spitefully hooking up” with you to “get back” at him later in the trailer. What was your reaction to hearing this? That accusation was pretty shocking to hear . I had already asked for Gary’s blessing on my exploring a relationship with Daisy, and he gave me the impression that he was totally fine with it. Yeah. I had no idea that conversation was going on behind my back.

Did your kiss with Daisy change the dynamic between the three of you in any way? Not at the start. I thought it was all just fun and games and he was happy for me. He was actually super excited about it to my face. Unfortunately, it did end up putting a strain on our friendships. That’s almost bound to happen when you get romantic with your friends.

One of fans’ favorite aspects of the show is obviously yours and Gary’s friendship and the dynamic in the boys room. Did Chase fit into the dynamics of the giggle club? Chase had a tall order, let’s put it that way. We missed Chef Marcos onboard just because we had all gotten along so well. I’m happy to say though that the Giggle Club was alive and well.

You mentioned Chef Marcos from Season 3 who is currently thriving in his various restaurant endeavors. How does Chef IIeisha compare? IIeisha’s great; we’re great friends. She fit into the crew super well too. She’s a really fun, bubbly person, but Marcos has got a decade more experience than her. She had big shoes to fill.

Mads and Lucy seem like great additions to the interior team. What were your first impressions of them? Lucy’s amazing. She’s a bit of an airhead sometimes, so she had us in stitches a lot of the time. Mags was wonderful too. It was a good interior team this season. They got along really well, and a happy crew makes for a happy time on board.

You have a thriving YouTube channel centered around your own vessel, Parlay Revival. Where is your next adventure going to take you?

Right now, I’m in Mexico on my boat with eight crew, and we’re about to go from Mexico to French Polynesia. That’s 2,600 miles of just open blue water ocean. It’s the biggest adventure of my entire life, and we’re embarking next week. So I’ve got a lot on my plate right now.

How do you juggle commanding this vessel with the premiere of one of Bravo’s most popular shows?

It’s a lot. We just got Starlink on my boat, so I’ve got really good internet across the whole Pacific Ocean now. We’ve got the maritime version, so luckily or unluckily, I’ll be able to tune in and be part of the whole ordeal [laughs]. What can you tease about the rest of the season? People are going to see things that they’ve never seen before. The whole engineering side of the show doesn’t usually get attention, but this season it can’t help but be the focus because there were so many mechanical malfunctions. A couple of things that happened could have potentially ended the entire season. The upside —if I had to find one—is that the audience finally gets a view into my world as an engineer. I think it’s fascinating, but I’m biased [laughs].

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5: When does it premiere?

Captain Glenn Shephard on Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Below Deck Season 11 has yet to hit Bravo airwaves, but that hasn’t stopped fans from asking about Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5.

Captain Glenn Shepard and his Parsifal III crew have been fan favorites since the show was revamped for Season 2.

Fans wait to have Below Deck Sailing Yacht back on Bravo airwaves each year.

This year is no exception, especially after fans were less than thrilled with Below Deck Med Season 8.

Let’s look at when the sailing show will be back on the small screen.

When will Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 premiere?

Unfortunately, the wait for Captain Glenn to return with some new and returning crew members will be awhile. There is an entire season of the OG show to air before we get to see the sailing show.

Below Deck Season 11 premieres on Monday, February 5 at 9/8c. If Bravo follows past seasons, there will be anywhere from 15 to 17 episodes of Below Deck featuring Captain Kerry Titheradge.

Based on that timeline, Below Deck would air the Season 11 finale in mid to late May, with a possible reunion show to follow. That means Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 will kick off at the beginning of June.

Even if the Below Deck Season 11 finale ends in mid-May, the Memorial Day holiday will push back Below Deck Sailing Yacht. Bravo won’t start a new season on a holiday, that’s for sure.

This points to four more months until the Parsifal III guys return to Bravo airwaves.

What else do we know about Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5?

We know the upcoming Below Deck Sailing Yacht season was filmed last summer. Photos of Daisy and Gary filming on Parsifal III were leaked well ahead of Bravo’s confirmation of the show’s renewal at BravoCon.

Colin wasn’t in any pictures, and his travel adventures at the time have fans believing he won’t be on the next season.

Meanwhile, Gary’s future on the show remains up in the air amid sexual assault allegations made against him by a production team member.

As Monsters and Critics previously reported, the scandal broke right after filming, and Gary was soon removed from the BravoCon list of attendees.

So far, Bravo and 51 Minds has been tight-lipped on what that means for his presence on Below Deck Sailing Yacht. Gary has played a key role on the show since Season 2. Editing him out or reducing his role will drastically alter the season.

Keep checking back for more updates, as details on the next sailing season will be here before we know it.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is currently on hiatus on Bravo. Below Deck Season 11 premieres on Monday, February 5, at 9/8c on Bravo.

Gary needs to be gone. Don’t diminish what the victim said! He’s a drunk, aggressive, horrible person with no boundaries. What gives him the right to act in this way?

Screen Rant

10 below deck charter guests who will never return to the franchise.

While the charter guests who appear on Below Deck have a great time while filming the show, many aren't invited back for a number of reasons.

  • Some charter guests on Below Deck have caused unnecessary drama and won't likely return due to bad behavior.
  • Captain Glenn Shephard from Below Deck Sailing Yacht faced backlash from Barrie, who called him two-faced.
  • Former guest Dr. Francis Martinis will not return to Below Deck after he was arrested for faking prescriptions.

The Below Deck franchise has featured many charter guests since 2013, many of whom will never return . The Bravo series focuses on expensive charters with wealthy guests who have attitude problems and over-the-top demands. That includes Charter guest Alexis Bellino, who boarded Captain Lee Rosbach’s yacht with her boyfriend at the time, Andy Bohn. She was disrespectful and made everyone uncomfortable with her and Andy's PDA. She even insulted crew members after featuring on the show.

Like Alexis, Delores Flora from Below Deck season 8 was a terrible guest. Not only did she misbehave, but she also got drunk and s wam while intoxicated, which is not only not allowed, it frightened the crew members. Delores got kicked out of the yacht the next day. These guests created unnecessary drama on the boat and will likely never return like a few others from the franchise.

8 barrie & tony, below deck sailing yacht.

Barrie and Tony Drewitt Barlow had a decent time in the Below Deck Sailing Yacht seasons 2 and 3. Despite that, they left with a bitter taste because of Captain Glenn Shephard. In 2021, Barrie participated in a podcast, Pita Party: The Podcast , where he claimed that Captain Glenn bothered him while using his phone .

Barrie said, “he (Captain Glenn) was a two-face b*stard,” adding that he just didn’t like his presence.

7 Frank Fay

Below deck mediterranean.

In Below Deck Mediterranean season 7, Charter guest Frank Fay had a thing for second stew Kyle Viljoen. He pursued him on the yacht, but unfortunately, their relationship didn’t last. Frank will likely never return to the series as long as Captain Sandy Yawn allows Kyle to work for her. Even if Kyle quits, Frank wouldn’t want to be in an environment that would remind him of his failed relationship.

6 Erica Rose

Erica Rose appeared on Below Deck Sailing Yacht two seasons in a row. Erica was highly offensive toward the crew member, as well as her husband, Charles Sanders, and to make things worse, she left the crew with a measly tip , leading fans to slam her on social media. Ultimately, Erica had to apologize for her bad attitude but never returned to give the crew the tip they deserved. Nobody on Below Deck Sailing Yacht would ever want to return.

5 Justin Guarini

Justin Guarini’s time on Below Deck Sailing Yacht was not dramatic at all; however, he’ll probably never return to the series. Justin wouldn’t return because he wasn't the primary guest. He joined his friend, Kim, who wanted to enjoy a luxury yacht trip. It was more of a one-and-done deal. Secondly, nobody recognized him at all. Viewers later realized who he was and how he was the runner-up on American Idol season 1. Justin is a theatre artist and has made a name for himself. However, it was embarrassing that so many fans had no clue who he was .

Below Deck: 8 Charter Guests With The Worst Attitudes

4 johnny damon.

Johnny Damon’s time at Below Deck Med was full of explosive moments. Once, he sent the food back, citing that the experience wasn’t “five stars.” On another occasion, his wife, Michelle, created drama by yelling at the owner of another yacht . Overall, the experience was simply terrible on both sides. Crew members didn’t love Johnny and his wife, and the couple didn’t respect the crew members. It is unlikely that Captain Sandy would want to host the couple again as long as she’s in charge.

3 Krystal Murphy

Former charter guest Krystal Murphy boarded Captain Lee’s yacht with her friends. She immediately began showing red flags, drinking, and just being a menace. Krystal fought with her friend, Chelsea, creating unnecessary drama. She even passed out and punched a friend in the face. Former Chief Stew Kate Chastain disliked serving Krystal and called her a “spoiled brat;” she wanted to throw her off the yacht. Nowadays, Krystal has seemingly become a more private person. It doesn’t seem like Krystal would want to be on TV again.

2 Steve Bradley

Below Deck fans should remember Steve Bradley as he made many appearances on the show. In Below Deck season 3, he wanted a foam party and demanded the crew to figure it out and follow his commands, acting like a king. In Below Deck season 6, Steve made more outrageous requests. Apart from being a wild guest, Steve was entitled and acted inappropriately at times . No Below Deck captain would want to host him again as he didn't come off as very likable.

1 Dr. Francis Martinis

Below deck mediterranean & below deck sailing yacht.

Dr. Francis Martinis from Below Deck Med and Below Deck Sailing Yacht has a zero chance of returning. While the former charter guest didn’t have too many issues on the show, his personal life issues will stop him from appearing on Bravo again. According to TMZ , Dr. Francis and his wife, Jessica, were arrested for filling out fake prescriptions in December 2023 . The couple used the names of Below Deck stars and got caught red-handed. The Below Deck franchise would never want to welcome felons, especially when their mugshots are all over the internet.

Below Deck airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo.

"It was another amazing week in LA. I just love how there is so much to do!" Daisy captioned the post, in which she noted how she visited Universal Studios, Mother Wolf restaurant, The Bungalow in Santa Monica, the club Lock & Key in Koreatown, the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, and Shirley's restaurant located inside the hotel. Daisy added that she saw the music group Kaskade at Avalon Hollywood for an "amazing" night out in the city.

Daisy shared several photos from her travels, including snapshots of delicious-looking food, nights in the club, and outfits for her California occasion.

What's more, Daisy has also formed an unlikely friendship over the past few months with actress Christina Applegate, who became a big fan of the Below Deck   franchise.

"She’s a huge Bravo fan, and she reached out to me via Instagram, and was massively supportive," Daisy shared in an interview with the  Daily Mail on February 19. She said, 'Hey Daisy,' and we FaceTime and stuff. She's just so nice."

The chief stew also noted she hoped to "meet up" with Christina some day. Daisy didn't post any photos from her L.A. trip with Christina, but we wonder if they did indeed meet up during Daisy's trip.

"She's busy with her family and I know she is taking it easy, and keeping all of her energy for her [Multiple Scelorsis], but hopefully we’ll make time," Daisy concluded to the outlet.

More details from Daisy Kelliher's vacation in Los Angeles

Earlier in January, we caught up with Daisy when she visited out west. For the occasion, took to her Instagram Stories to share a view of herself taking in the beautiful sunset by the beach.

‘Below Deck’ Sails Into a New Era

With a different captain at the helm and new production elements, the reality show about charter yachts is switching up its style.

A man in a crew member suit stands behind a bar and tends to flowers in a vase.

By Shivani Gonzalez

Starting a new season of “ Below Deck ” can be similar to returning to summer camp as a kid — you know it’s going to be fun and that you’ll be in the same environment, but some of the people will be different and you’re not quite sure what the vibes will be.

This time around, in particular, feels that way because for the first time in the show’s 11-season run, Captain Lee Rosbach is no longer at the helm. It’s a pivotal moment for a franchise that has become one of the most popular entities in the sprawling universe of reality TV since premiering on Bravo in 2013 . The show’s appeal was built on endless romances between various crew members (“boatmances,” as they came to be known), horrible charter guests and some sort of passive-aggressive fight about how many shackles of the anchor chain should be in the water. And there was always Rosbach presiding over the drama as he trudged around the boat, reeling off one liners like “I’m madder than a pissed-on chicken” and “we screwed the pooch so many times we should have a litter of puppies running around.”

At the center of the show now is Kerry Titheradge (the stern yet goofy captain of “Below Deck Adventure” fame), who is managing the Motor Yacht Saint David with the cheeky chief stew Fraser Olender by his side.

With that change in captain, the energy on the boat — both onscreen and off — is different, according to Olender.

“Lee has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him,” Olender said in an interview. “With Kerry, he taught me a lot and sort of forced to me confront issues directly with my team, work them out, as opposed to making executive decisions too soon.”

This shift in management style changes the central conflict — whereas the drama once focused on the captain swiftly kicking out any unpleasant crew member (as we might have seen with Rosbach), the drama now focuses on the whole crew trying to get along (since Titheradge gives people those second chances).

Additionally, Olender noted that the captain’s relationship with the crew can also affect the drama on board.

“Captains absolutely do get involved, whether they know it or not,” Olender said, adding that for the crew, everything is about “trying to impress your captain.”

This phenomenon plays out early in the new season when the lead deckhand, Ben Willoughby, called out a fellow crew member over the radios about not wearing a life vest — something he easily could have done in private. The drama that followed became an interpersonal conflict between the two of them, both with the ultimate goal of impressing Titheradge. (Of course, the two deckhands had kissed on the previous crew night out, which is more in line with the “Below Deck” drama viewers are used to.)

For “Below Deck” showrunners, the changeovers in the cast allowed them to rethink what the show would look like.

From the season premiere, it was immediately apparent that Rosbach’s absence wasn’t the only change this season: The filming is sleeker, the daily, multicourse meals prepared by the chef are given their own glamour shots and the cameras sometimes cut to the perspectives of yachties running around on deck and through the galley.

“Our showrunner, Lauren Simms, is an avid consumer of all different kinds of media,” Noah Samton, a senior vice president of unscripted current production for NBCUniversal, said in an interview. “She pitches us different ideas on how to stylistically evoke different feelings and change the mood a little bit of ‘Below Deck’ without removing what really works.”

Moving through the rest of the season, and potentially through seasons to come, Olender is aiming to bring a cutthroat management style while also bringing affection for his stews, all with his signature British humor.

On Bravo’s side, there are changes in the works for the other “Below Deck” spinoffs — including “Sailing Yacht,” “Mediterranean” and “Down Under” — which collectively, have 26 seasons. Specifically, Samton said that “Down Under” is currently filming and that even though fans should be ready to see new things, the show will stay true to its original concept.

“These are real yachties doing a real job so you have to stay within those confines because the audience isn’t going to want anything that is too produced or fake,” Samton said. “So we have to find ways to reinvent while staying true to the original concept of the show.”

And as Olender said: “I’m sure that every year if I were to work with this franchise again, that I’ll be thrown a collection of total chaotic and disastrous stews — that’s what makes it watchable.”

An earlier version of this article misquoted Fraser Olender, the chief stew of “Below Deck.” He said, “I also feel like Kerry this season. ... Lee has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him,” not “I feel like Kerry this season, as opposed to Lee, has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him.”

Below Deck Loses 2 Crewmembers After a Firing and a Dramatic Season 11 Departure

Below deck 's capt. kerry titheradge fired the first season 11 yachtie during the bravo series' march 18 episode, but that wasn't the only shocking departure. find out who else left the yacht..

The  St. David  is down not one, but two crewmembers.

During Below Deck 's March 18 episode, Captain Kerry Titheradge  fired the first season 11 yachtie when he let Bosun Jared Woodin go for unprofessional behavior, the last straw being an inebriated Jared barging into Stew Barbie Pascual 's cabin the night prior and yelling at Deckhand Kyle Stillie for leaving a mess of loose tobacco on the deck after a night of partying.

"This is the second time you've gone on the piss and you've had bad behavior," Kerry told his subordinate. "You're in a leadership role. You can't be acting like that. You gotta be above the fray. The way that you're treating these guy is not acceptable."

But it wasn't just the alcohol that was the problem, as Kerry noted Jared's mental state wasn't where it needed to be. "You've got s--t going on, man," he shared. "You're your own worst enemy right now. You need to depart the vessel."

However, Jared agreed his head wasn't in the right place and accepted his termination graciously.

"This ain't the right place for me at the right time," Jared replied, to which Kerry responded, "I don't blame you for that. Take this time and work on yourself. Me keeping you here is a disservice to you."

Before departing the super-yacht, Jared reflected in a confessional, "I thought I was in a good headspace coming into this. I'm really not. And as much as I'd like to be I'm just lying to myself."

But Jared wasn't the only teammate to set sail during the latest episode. Stew Cat Baugh willingly left the ship after admittedly struggling with the job all season long.

"I really wanna push through for you guys," Cat, in tears, told Chief Stew Fraser Olender after receiving a very distressing call from a friend back home in America. "I'm just losing my mind right now."

And Fraser totally understood his crewmember's needs.

In a confessional, Fraser elaborated, "I don't know what is going on, but you can look into someone's eyes sometimes and see that there is no more that they can give. They are going through enough to be incapable and I need to do what's right for her. "

See how the crew copes with the unexpected departures when Below Deck airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on Bravo. And keep reading to look back at the most shocking Below Deck firings ever.

If there's one thing to learn from Camille Lamb 's Below Deck firing, it's to not slack off on the job. That's exactly why the season 10 stew was let go by substitute Captain Sandy Yawn , as Chief Stew Fraser Olender continued to criticize Camille's behavior on board.

From being caught drinking while preparing for a new charter to partying at late hours and more, Fraser informed Captain Sandy that he had reached his "last straw."

"She's the common denominator in all of this," said Captain Sandy. "Great girl, great personality, but at the same time, we have to do what's best for the boat."

Below Deck Adventure 's Kyle Dickard was let go just three episodes into the reality franchise's latest series—which premiered in November 2022. After picking fights with his fellow deckhand Nathan Morley —as well as kissing crew mates in front of guests—Kyle was offered by Captain Kerry Titheradge the opportunity to resign so that his firing would not end up on his personal record.

Kyle took the Captain up on his offer and left the boat after just one charter.

Captain Sandy let bosun Raygan Tyler go during season seven of Below Deck Mediterranean ,  not only for causing the boat to  take a small hit while docking, but also for not stepping up to the plate as a leader.

But Captain Sandy didn't want her firing to discourage the bosun, as she told Raygan, "If I had the time and I wasn't running a boat this size, I would train you. I would teach you."

In addition to onboard romances and failing to follow directions , one of the biggest reasons behind stew Elizabeth Frankini 's Below Deck firing was her infamous laundry room accident , during which made a toxic mess when combining bleach and laundry soap.

"Unfortunately, I didn't know that was so toxic and I feel so bad about it," she told E! News of the incident in December 2020 . "You know, I do feel really bad, especially 'cause Francesca [ Rubi ] did say, 'Take it outside.'"

The bosun and stew were both fired by Captain Jason Chambers for inappropriate behavior after a night of partying with their fellow yachties.

Luke Jones was let go after getting into Stew Margot Sisson 's bed naked while she was drunk and unconscious. Laura Bileskaine also made unwanted advances on Deckhand Adam Kodra despite him telling her he was not interested in hooking up.

Jason made it known that consent was a must, and sent both crewmembers packing.

Tensions between stew Lexi Wilson and Chef Mathew Shea came to a head during an explosive dinner fight on season six of Below Deck Mediterranean , during which Lexi told Matt that his parents "should've aborted you." That was the last straw for Captain Sandy, who fired her not long after the incident.

Deckhand Tom Pearson said "bon voyage" to Below Deck Sailing Yacht after getting let go by Captain Glenn Shephard . Tom hit his last strike with the Captain after failing to report that the boat's anchor was dragging during heavy winds one night, causing a potential safety risk for everyone on board.

"It had to be done. It was such a grievous thing that he dropped the ball there, he had to go, and we had to just be man down and live with it, you know?" Captain Glenn said of the decision  on Watch What Happens Live. "So, obviously, you don't want to do that, but yeah, it had to happen."

Some people are picky eaters, but Below Deck Down Under' s Ryan McKeown was quite the picky chef, as he would judge guests'  food requests  and fail to take  criticism from Captain Jason Chambers , as well.

Perhaps Ryan's Below Deck exit is one of the franchise's most memorable, as he mooned Jason and viewers on his way off the boat.

Below Deck Down Under stew Magda Ziomek 's firing was another case of slacking on the job. After constantly being on her phone texting or video chatting with her boyfriend, Chief Stew Aesha Scott decided to replace Magda before the end of the charter season.

Below Deck Mediterranean 's Peter Hunziker was fired from the series in June 2020 after he shared an offensive post on social media.

"Peter Hunziker of Below Deck Mediterranean has been terminated for his racist post," Bravo wrote in a statement at the time. "Bravo and 51 Minds are editing the show to minimize his appearance for subsequent episodes."

Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier was let go by Captain Sandy on Below Deck Mediterranean after boson Malia White discovered her co-star possessed undeclared Valium and a vape pen, the former of which Hannah claimed was for her anxiety.

"If I could do it all over again, I would've just declared them as soon as I came on board," Hannah stated in an August 2020 interview with E! News. "It was definitely not something that was intentional. I wasn't trying to hide anything.

Below Deck Mediterranean 's Delaney Evans left just as quickly as she arrived. After initially being brought on during season six to help out Chief Stew Katie Flood , Katie determined that Delaney was doing more harm than good, choosing to let her go after just one charter.

"I think she was overwhelmed with the situation, and I think that, you know, in her mind, the best solution to the situation was just to go back to what they had before," Delaney told Bravo Insider of Katie's decision. "I think she was just overwhelmed with everything that was going on and all the feedback she was getting."

Deckhand Shane Coopersmith was a bit in over his head on season eight of Below Deck , as he was let go for failing to know basic skills, reporting late for duty and taking naps on the job.

Chaos in the kitchen led to Captain Lee Rosbach letting Chef Leon Walker go on season three of Below Deck . After an oven fire broke out , Lee placed the blame on Chief Stew Kate Chastain but was ultimately the one sent home.

Like several of the franchise's stars, Below Deck 's Chris Brown  was fired  during season five for failing to fully perform his duties. After being let go by Captain Lee, Chris shared some parting words as he left the boat, stating , "Who gives a s--t?"

Chef Mila Kolomeitseva was fired by Captain Sandy on season four of Below Deck Mediterranean after failing to use her cooking skills to produce top-quality food for guests—including some not-so-nice nachos .

"Of course it makes me feel awful," Mila said of her departure . "People like me who have big egos sometimes have to be put down to earth a little bit. But it makes me feel like I want to work even harder."

Sometimes people just don't work well together. That's exactly why Captain Lee fired Chandler Brooks during season six of Below Deck , telling the boson, "I don't think it's a good fit."

10 Below Deck Stews Who Were The Worst At Their Jobs, Ranked (Why I Think They Were Bad Employees)

  • Some stews on Below Deck falter in their roles due to miscommunications, misfortunes, and questionable behaviors, leading to their firing or quitting.
  • Failed stews like Ashley Marti, Laura Bileskalne, and June Foster faced criticism for their lack of professionalism and competence in their roles.
  • Stews from different Below Deck seasons and spin-offs committed unforgettable faux pas, behavioral blunders, and relationship troubles.

Since its first voyage in 2013, Below Deck has been a beacon of opulent escapism, showcasing the trials and tribulations of yacht crew life across the Mediterranean, Australia, and more. Outside the glitz and glamour, some Below Deck stews have steered the ship astray with their lackluster performances and questionable behaviors. The franchise has its fair share of employee casualties, from Raquel "Rocky" Dakota's lack of competency in Below Deck season 3 to Caroline Bedol's infamous "bru" debacle in Below Deck season 6. Below Deck's luxury yacht crew faces intense scrutiny over their work ethic, igniting heated debates among audiences.

In the high seas of luxury yacht hospitality, Below Deck sets sail with a crew of stews tasked with impeccable service - but not all sailors shine bright in their roles. From miscommunications to misfortunes, the Below Deck franchise documented 10 stews that faltered the most and ended up getting fired or quitting for lack of professionalism. Stews from different Below Deck seasons and spin-offs committed unforgettable faux pas, behavioral blunders, and relationship troubles. Some individuals missed the hospitality mark, leaving guests less than impressed.

Ashley Marti

Below deck sailing yacht season 3.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3's Ashley Marti sparked a love triangle, entangling herself between her coworkers Tom Pearson and Gary King. Ashley's presence ruffled feathers immediately, earning her a reputation as a know-it-all despite frequent errors in her steward duties. Drama ensued with Ashley on each charter, particularly with second stew Gabriela Barragan. BDSY followers rallied behind Gabriela, painting Ashley as a villain. Audiences accused Ashley of not taking her job as a steward seriously and called her out for a rotten attitude and personality. BDSY watchers found Ashley's pushy demeanor offensive, making her difficult to work with.

Laura Bileskalne

Below deck down under season 2.

Below Deck Down Under season 2's Laura Bileskalne was the second stew marred by a series of glaring shortcomings. Aesha Scott, quick to discern the issues, noted Laura's penchant for prioritizing her appearance over her steward duties. Time wasted on personal grooming became a recurrent theme, exacerbating tensions. Laura's focus on trivial matters, like lime preferences, fueled conflicts with Aesha. Her self-centered attitude surfaced further when she pursued a romantic entanglement with Bosun, Luke Jones, despite his inappropriate behavior towards colleague Margot Sisson. Laura developed an allegiance to Luke during a harassment fallout, resulting in her firing.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

June foster, below deck mediterranean season 4.

June Foster's tenure on Below Deck Med was brief due to the evolution of her role. Initially, Captain Sandy Yawn hired June as a replacement for Anastasia Surmava following her promotion to chef, but June's stint was unexpectedly cut short. Despite proving her steward capabilities, June's position became redundant, leading to her discharge by Captain Sandy. June, feeling justified in her abilities, was angered by Captain Sandy's decision, deeming her time on the ship useless. Audiences advocate for June's second chance on Below Deck Med as she demonstrated competence in her role, suggesting her dramatic exit and firing were unjustified.

Below Deck Season 11

Cat Baugh, a newcomer to Below Deck season 11 aboard St. David, has confronted mental health challenges, breakdowns, and a negative attitude detracting from audience enjoyment. Cat's no stranger to yachting, but her struggle to adapt to the demands of her stewardess role on a superyacht is evident. Unlike her colleagues, Cat's prior experience mainly involved private charters, lacking the high-end service expectations of St. David. This disconnect between Cat and her coworkers has fueled tensions, with her emotional state and work ethic falling short. Transitioning from smaller to luxury vessels has proven daunting for Cat, impacting her performance onboard.

Raquel “Rocky” Dakota

Below deck season 3.

Raquel's stint as a stewardess on Below Deck , season 3, left the crew and audiences questioning her competency. From Raquel's erratic behavior to her inability to prioritize tasks, "Rocky" failed to meet the standards expected in the yachting industry. Raquel's penchant for melodrama often overshadowed her duties while working on the Eros mega-yacht, leading to tension among the crew. Raquel's decision to engage in a public spat with fellow crew member Kate Chastain and other off-putting behaviors disrupted the harmony onboard. Raquel's lack of professionalism and organizational skills ultimately rendered her ill-suited for the demanding role of a yacht stewardess.

Caroline Bedol

Below deck season 6.

Caroline made waves in Below Deck season 6 with her unforgettable dramatic exit. Despite Caroline's experience and passion for the adventurous yachting lifestyle, she faced numerous setbacks and conflicts throughout her tenure on the show. Caroline's clashes with Chief Stewardess Kate became a focal point, and tension escalated as the season progressed. Caroline demonstrated an inability to communicate and collaborate with her fellow crew members. Caroline also struggled with homesickness, anxiety, and a few injuries, which impacted her work performance. Caroline's frequent clashes and confrontations with her coworkers also disrupted the harmony onboard, creating a tense working environment for everyone.

10 Below Deck Charter Guests Who Will Never Return To The Franchise

Magda ziomek, below deck down under season 1.

In Below Deck Down Under season 1, Captain Jason Chambers terminated the third stew, Magda Ziomek . Despite Magda's initial promise, her work ethic faltered, prompting dissatisfaction among the crew. The situation escalated when Magda veered off course, engaging in flirtatious behavior with coworker Jamie Sayed despite having a boyfriend. Recognizing Magda's detrimental impact on teamwork and conduct, Captain Jason prioritized the integrity of the vessel's operations. With a firm hand, Captain Jason fired Magda to ensure standards remained unwavering, asserting authority in the face of interpersonal distractions. Magda's flirtation with a coworker breached professionalism, undermining team cohesion and work values.

Elizabeth Frankini

Below deck season 8.

Elizabeth Frankini's downfall as a stewardess on Below Deck season 8 stemmed from a clash with Chief Stew Francesca Rubi. At first, Elizabeth and Francesca's work relationship seemed functional, but friction arose as Francesca perceived Elizabeth as lacking competence and prone to making questionable remarks. Captain Lee Rosbach terminated Elizabeth for sleeping in the guest cabin, a forbidden but familiar practice seen in other Below Deck iterations. Elizabeth's not-so-secret romance with fellow crew member James Hough also raised eyebrows. Elizabeth's frequent involvement with coworkers constantly distracted her and undermined her credibility as a reliable crew member.

Lexi Wilson

Below deck mediterranean season 6.

Lexi Wilson from Below Deck Mediterranean season 3 showcased a litany of traits detrimental to her role as a yacht stewardess. Lexi's lack of professionalism manifested through her inconsistent work ethic, often prioritizing socializing over duties paramount to guest satisfaction. Frequently embroiled in conflicts with fellow crew members, Lexi's abrasive demeanor hindered her teamwork skills, disrupting the vessel's operations. Lexi's questionable conduct on her social media account later drew criticism, including controversial remarks and unbecoming behavior unaligned with the values of a reputable employee. Lexi's inability to maintain decorum on and off-screen contributed to her reputation as a subpar employee.

Camille Lamb

Below deck season 10.

Camille Lamb from Below Deck season 10 failed to uphold the standard of excellence expected in the yachting industry. Camille exhibited a lackluster work ethic during her season, often prioritizing personal matters over professional responsibilities. In one instance, Camille neglected her duties to engage in petty conflicts with colleagues, compromising the smooth order of operations. Camille's subpar performance was evident in her failure to meet deadlines and execute tasks precisely - resulting in dissatisfaction among Below Deck crew members and charter guests. Camille's inconsistent performance rendered her unsuitable for the demanding environment of luxury yacht service, and she got fired.
