Don Juan II: The Only Michelin-Starred Cruise on the Seine
There are Seine river cruises, and then there’s the Don Juan II. Moored at Passerelle Debilly opposite the Eiffel Tower, this historic Art Deco yacht is kitted out with fireplaces, framed paintings and a wood-paneled bar from where you can order a flute of Champagne before your dinner cruise. Designed by the Maison Pierre Frey, it’s all elegance- down to the gold-colored curtains framing the windows. What’s more, there are only 12 tables (maximum capacity of 38 guests) so it’s an intimate affair.

But let’s talk about the food, shall we? It’s a truth universally acknowledged that river cruises have mediocre, ho-hum cuisine (after all, the view is the star of the show). Yet on the Don Juan II, the food is so good, it’s a distraction- you end up paying more attention to your plate than the stunning scenery out the window.
That’s because Chef Frédéric Anton is at the helm. He’s the culinary maestro who holds three Michelin stars at Le Pré Catelan in the 16th, and one star at Le Jules Verne , the gastronomic hot spot atop the Eiffel Tower. In fact, he’s also been awarded a Michelin star for the Don Juan II- making it the only Seine river cruise to hold such an honor.

What’s on the dinner menu? It’s a glorious culinary parade with dishes staggered so they served in front of each major landmark: the Musée d’Orsay, the Monnaie de Paris, Notre-Dame, Hotel de Ville, the Conciergerie and the Louvre . Ingredients are seasonal, so the menu reflects what’s being grown at the moment. To wit: amuse-bouches of fried artichoke with anchovy cream, a flan-like marvel with fennel and caviar topped with elderflowers, a crab delicacy resembling an apple meringue, the signature langoustine ravioli topped with a golden jelly, and pan-fried lamb with morel mushrooms in a Jura wine sauce. To cap off your feast, the chocolate soufflé with pistachio ice cream is sublime.
Don Juan II The multi-course dinner is 240€. Wine pairing is extra. Boarding at the Port Debilly (Paris 16) starting at 7:45 pm until 8:15 pm. Departure at 8:30 pm with a return to the quay at 10:30- 11 pm. Tel: +33 (0)1 83 77 44 40 Email: [email protected]

Michelin guide’s point of view.
Moored next to Passerelle Debilly, a footbridge spanning the Seine, on the right bank, opposite the Eiffel Tower, the Don Juan II is a magnificent Art Deco yacht, with sumptuous wood panelling and thick carpet. Embark on a 2.5hr-long sightseeing and gourmet cruise, with an outstanding chef, Frédéric Anton, at the helm! He has selected some emblematic creations from Le Pré Catelan (curry-scented crab, langoustine ravioli, warm chocolate soufflé…) with which to indulge his passengers. As you glide down the Seine, dinner is served against the backdrop of the most iconic monuments of the City of Light, with commentary by the crew.

Michelin-star Dining on the Don Juan II Yacht with Chef Frédéric Anton
Yachts de Paris announces its gastronomic cruise on the Don Juan II Yacht offers one-star Michelin dining. The famous restaurant guide has acknowledged Chef Frédéric Anton, which means the Seine trip is the only one to offer Michelin-star cuisine.
Paris has always been renowned for fine dining and has many Michelin-starred restaurants. A unique experience is now available where you can take in the stunning scenes of Paris while you float along the Seine , enjoying delightful meals made by Frédéric Anton. He has been awarded a star for his cooking on the Don Juan II yacht, making it the first-ever cruise to offer such highly-rated cuisine.
On the menu: A two-hour sailing experience, including a prestigious dinner on the most beautiful avenue in Paris, the River Seine. Frédéric Anton’s cruise spans the stretch of river between the Eiffel tower and the Conciergerie, offering a handful of lucky diners the chance to admire the French capital in all its shining glory, with its offer of gastronomic cruises on the Don Juan II.
At the helm of this legendary yacht, the multi-starred chef creates an intimate experience that reflects his style: subtle and refined cuisine that embodies a perfect harmony between aesthetic beauty and taste.
The unforgettable cruise combines the cosy atmosphere of a ship from the last century featuring an Art Deco interior with the magical monuments of the City of Light and the best in French gastronomy.
Dedicated to serving delicious, top-quality cuisine to his guests, Frédéric Anton selects seasonal products and concocts his menus to reflect his expertise. And his dedication has been rewarded! His food brings guests together and is served uniquely, reflecting his ambition to make this new Parisian location a pillar in French fine dining.
An example of the seasonal menu is,
- Fennel Cream and roasted seeds, Dashi flan, Caviar
- Crab Flavoured with Curry, Grapefruit “Zéphyr”
- Langoustine Prepared as a Ravioli, American sauce, thin Gold jelly
- Lamb Pan-fried, Peas flavoured with Nutmeg and “jus gras”
- Chocolate Warm Soufflé, Pistachio ice cream.
The price per person is 240 Euros.
Indulge in your starter whilst sailing by the Sacre Coeur, devour your fish course taking in the fabulous Notre Dame cathedral, and savour the lamb seeing the Eiffel Tower. As the cruise ends, you finish your dessert and have experienced a fantastic two hours on the Seine.
For 25 years, Frédéric Anton has upheld his values of creating “simple, effective and unadulterated” food. As a Meilleur Ouvrier de France and chef at Pré Catelan (three Michelin stars) and Jules Verne (one Michelin star), Frédéric Anton has the opportunity to express the full range of his talent and uphold his high standards here on board the Don Juan II. His leitmotiv is the use of seasonal products due to rigorous sourcing.
This naturalistic approach is perfectly in line with the chef’s values. He has always been committed to total transparency about the origin of his produce, determined to fight against food waste and devoted to allowing the seasons to guide his cuisine, and not the other way around.
This first Michelin star acknowledges Frédéric Anton’s know-how and recognises his entire crew and restaurant team’s effort.
“I am delighted that the hard work of the entire Don Juan II team since the opening has been recognised. This first star in the Michelin Guide underlines our ambition,” said Frédéric.

Don Juan II - Yachts de Paris
After visiting Mona Bismarck American Center , you can look over the menu at this restaurant. If you like the French cuisine, you should visit Don Juan II - Yachts de Paris . Many guests come to try nicely cooked juane . Tasty parfait can be what you need. Order the good wine served here.
The well-trained staff welcomes visitors all year round. Spectacular service is a strong point that plays a great role for the success of this place. Turandot Restaurant
Ratings and reviews, location and contact.
This restaurant is on the extravagant side, beautiful yet pricey , you will see elegant people enjoying the evening with life music, to me it was a little bit too noisy and overpriced, service is excellent. The dome shaped hall, made the echo excessive, if... you are for a quite evening, then this place will not suit you. Food was average, and therefore to have the bill more than 25 K rubles (about US$ 360) for a family of 3 without drinks seems bit excessive. More
We had an outstanding meal here on Saturday 12.9.20. The grandeur of the dining room is so romantic and beautiful, like being in a Disney palace. My partner and I were perhaps a little underdressed for the ocassion, arriving in trainers- since the hall itself... had a lot of brides wandering around. But staff took no notice of our clothes and were very polite to us. The food was absolutely top, so in this way, I believe this restaurant to be very good value and worth every Ruble as the ambience, food and service are all sublime. Despite how incredible the dining hall is, it was not full of people taking selfies and pictures when we dined. In fact, it was a very private and calm atmosphere. Please can you say a special thanks to our waitress Olga Aleksandrovna? She was very attentive and pleasant and of course spoke great English. More
Dear miss, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such an amazing review. We're happy you've enjoyed your visit in Turandot and we're looking forward to seeing you again soon.
An upscale classically designed restaurant in a lovely area of Moscow. The restaurant is designed in an atrium style, with a central domed ceiling that takes grand stage in the design. Certainly well executed, but a style not for everyone. Dining style is formal, with... a good but not exceptional dish selection, with prices to match the richness of the decor. A pleasant experience in well curated surroundings, but not a wow foodie experience I was expecting. Nice to take the parents for a meal also, or definitely for a romantic dinner. More
We have been fans of this place for many years! Turandot was and remains the best restaurant in Moscow! The level of food and service is fully consistent with the fabulous and luxurious atmosphere of the institution. Not cheap, but you always know what you... get for your money. This is not just food, but food for enjoyment. You can safely take any dishes and it will be delicious. I also recommend visiting brunches. More
Very bad food, everything I ordered was bad!!! They subjected Rebai meet to me, It was not good at all. The girl in the front door is not welcoming at all!! They had me waiting for 30 minutes and the restaurant when I entered was... empty!! And I had a reservation!!!! Also the waitress is so mad I don’t know why! Its like she wants to hit me!😭 More
The food was just fine. The same food you’d expect anywhere else, nothing special about it. The best thing on the menu is the honey cake. The service is so so so slow. I honestly wouldn’t come back again.. More
Hello! Thanks for your honest and detailed review. Receiving feedback, we are getting better! We are sorry that this time our service did not meet our high standard. We have worked with the staff and can ensure that this will never happen again! We are... More
My time at the restaurant was a letdown. The guy in charge of storing all the coats, gloves, and beanie lost my gloves and threw my beanie on the ground. Even after talking to the manager, things didn't get better she was useless. I ended... up leaving without my gloves. But the food was good and the waiters were better it’s just where you store your coat. Be careful with your stuff there, it's a real hassle. More
We went on a recommendation to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and we were so disappointed ok so the room is stunning and I am quite happy to pay an exorbitant price for fantastic food and wine for a special occasion but the price of... wine and champagne was absolutely ridiculous - the very cheapest basic wine was £60 and in the menu it was listed by the glass starting at £14 for a small one . They completely messed up the food bringing my husbands main course first as his starter and as most people could not speak English it was hard explaining. Service was rude and in the end we complained and refused to pay for my starter so 2 glasses of wine £28 and no apology we left and went to TGI Fridays and had a Buber . Not quite what we had in mind . I rarely slate a restaurant but I think the people who go here are business people with other people's money to waste More
The food is good but overpriced with service being well below par with the dining area full of people taking selfies around you while you eat. If that combination appeals - go for it. If it doesn’t - go else where. This restaurant would not... survive in any other major city. More
Dear Robert, We're sorry to hear that your visit to Turandot didn't meet your expectations. We would be grateful if you could contact us and tell us more about the service experience. Our e-mail is [email protected] We can't restrict selfie in our restaurant: obviously, the... More
Alright, looking at pictures on internet, the restaurant could impress. As such, you choose it for a nice dinner and likely start living your "experience" at the booking. Then, you go there and ... hit a wall: it's a trap for tourists! Dress code? Seriously?!... Tourists everywhere, long tables (from 6 to 20 tourists per table), mostly wearing hawaiian shorts, sneakers, thin t-shirts. During our dinner, we selected as "winners" a man wearing a basketball hat and an old lady wearing a transparent k-way (?!?!). The menu is mostly a mix of Chinese / Thai food, with Russian cuisine limited to few pies and soups. Also the service was not at the expected level: waiters were too busy with the groups of tourists and it was hard to stop them (while running). For the same reasons, they missed basic things, e.g. coordinating the delivery of food to the table (we ended up eating in different moments). More
Antonio L, thank you for your review. We apologize for the delay with dishes as well as for the inattentive service. We do appreciate our guests complying with the dress code, however always leave it to their choice whether to dress up or not. We... More
Our dinner at Turandot turned out to be a complete disappointment. The place is nice but the atmosphere is not just ruined but completely destroyed by crowds of Asian tourists wearing cheap t-shirts and sportive outfits and behaving as if they are in a train-station... buffet. And as we were told at dinner there were not too many of them (yes, just 85% of the guests, for lunch there are more)!!!!!!! The cuisine also didn’t touch as much even though the desserts were amazing! The wines were not good and of some strange origine. And the service could be better specially at arrival (it took about 10 min to get a high-chair for a kid even though we mentioned him and his age at the moment of booking). Of course we won’t be back again as well as many other guests I believe. And it’s a pity because the project was created by many talented people. The positive moment of our visit was a waiter Sergey Lyubimov who was not assigned to our table but was always there to help. He is the person who puts his heart and mind in what he is doing, taking the responsibility and doing the job of others just to make a guest happy. He is intelligent, polite, fast, attentive and just pleasant from a personal point of view. Want to thank him again for his attention to us and wish him all the best! More
SoniaTitova, thank for your opinion. We are sorry for the insufficient service in the beginning and that you were not quite content with food and wines. At the same time we want to specify, that all guests in Turandot are welcome, no matter from what... More
This is a place that I take people that I want to express --- especially people that are in Moscow for the first time. The decor is over the top and something that needs to be seen, no words can describe it fully. The weekend... brunch is well worth the money. Have also been after the Opera and it is just a great close to a wonderful evening. The service is by far some of the best in the city. Dessert is a must. Price is fair but not cheap --- More
27 11 2014 we met with business partners for a breakfast. It all was pre-paid, so it might be the factor why it was such a bad experience. It all started with the entrance: when we came it, one of 2 hosts simply ordered: wardrobe... is downstairs. When we came back 2 hosts were talking to each other and it took us 3 times to beg to show our table. Waiters were exceptionally rude and inattentive: 3 times they mixed up the orders, and when a person replied that he didn't order that, waiter was asking: did you change the place? Not to mention that courses were not in order for different ppl. So it lasted for 2,5 hours(!) and we quit without having a dessert, because we could bit tolerate anymore. What can i say? I'm totally dissapponted, never ever again More
Restaurant is down the street from Pushkin Cafe (another excellent choice) however finding it was a little tough. Only small sign by the entrance in Cyrillic. Staff in period costumes. Dining room is ornately decorated. Service is excellent (which is highly unusual for russia in... general). I had the beef stroganoff which was very good. However, the dessert, which was honey cake was probably one of the best desserts I have ever tasted. I would def recommend and repeat if I was in Moscow again. More
Ok so this was so so so so enlightening as an experience, I have never been to a more elaborately done restaurant, and being a designer myself, it came across as a treat for the mind and the eye !! Again so so so many... stars to this place just for ambience !! About the staff !! We were let in without a reservation. Which was nice !! A special mention to our steward ‘Kereal’ for making the experience so so so nice, he was talkative, funny, great advice on food !! They went out of the way to customise dishes for us !! We ate a lot, 2 portions veg sushi rolls, A vegetarian salad with mashed avocado, Singaporean rice noodles with sautéed veggies, and udon noodles with sautéed veggies !! I also had the mango and passion fruit lemonade !! Every single thing outstanding apart from the Singaporean noodles which were bland !! But 200 marks for effort. Followed by which Kereal showed us around the magnanimous venue !! All the rooms that are for hosting small dinners of up to 50-70 people and the two floor restaurant it self, each room or wall was a treat for the eye !! The bill was 5300/- rubles !! Yes expensive but Kereal was so good to us, we ended up tipping him massively as well !! Please guys, go to broaden your horizon about stand alone restaurants, the building used to be the home of Catherine the great, once you know about Russia, you’ll know what I mean !! Amazing experience and the perfect end to our trip !! More
Dear abhinav05111, thank you so much for your review! We are very glad you enjoyed your visit. Looking forward to seeing you back next time you are in Moscow.

“Food and Show” Review of YAR Restaurant
Food was very good, in fact, it was the best Cesar salad in the former Soviet Union. Also the main courses were excellent, and the service was fine. The show was also very interesting and very professional. Therefore the cost (on a high side) can be justified.

While staying at the Sovietsky Hotel was not an option (too many reviews complaining about how distant it was from the metro), I HAD to visit this historical place. Booking was close to a nightmare - I phoned them weeks in advance to book a table for three people. Called again a couple of days before to make sure everything was in order - just to be informed that no-one knew about my reservation. Gave all my details again, arrived on time and, unfortunately, my booking was completely unknown! That said, we were shown a very nice table in the smaller room, next to a big group of business guests who sounded and behaved as if they were already far into their vodka efforts! Once they left - which fortunately happened before our mains arrived - it was amazing! Food was delicious, desert and wine perfectly matched our choices. The place breathes history and a somewhat tired, yet fascinating, luxury. Payment was another unfortunate mission, the waiter taking our credit cards away and taking about 15 minutes to return. All in all, a great place with some very good food.
The YAR has a famous history, which you are able to read about ( in English ) on the menu card, being a favourite for famous visitors during the communist era. Certainly, the restaurant attempts to create a sophisticated, elegant atmosphere with chandeliers hanging from high ceilings, a piano player and numerous attentive staff looking after your every need. The menu has a wide range of Russian and International dishes but one oddity was being given a vodka tasting sorbet before the main course instead of after ! My colleagues from our Moscow office were keenly looking forward to eating here so the restaurant obviously has a high reputation, but their feelings afterwards were one of slight disappointment. The food was good but not exceptional, the surrounds were nice but it wasn't quite worth the money paid.

The most stunning experience on the Seine. The Don Juan II is the only yacht to be awarded a star in the Michelin Guide 2023 and 4 toques in the Gault&Millau 2024.
