Exceeding expectations

The Award-Winning Mulder ThirtySix features a bespoke modern exterior with a sleek aluminium construction and a continuous window line which culminates in a contemporary plumb bow. The design features the Van Oossanen patented Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) to ensure comfortable sailing and fuel economy at all speeds. This will not compromise performance as the twin 847 kW engines will ensure a maximum speed of 17 knots.The fuel consumption at economic cruising speed of 11 knots is less than 80 liters per hour.

A full beam design allows the volume and privacy in the owners’ area to be maximised. The slender, fluid design will goes against the current fashion of ballooning beams, as the hull will measure a perfect eight metres at its widest point. The slender hull and long waterline will together ensure outstanding seakeeping capacities in rough seas, enhancing comfort for owner and guests alike.

Custom build interiors

Five spacious cabins on board accommodates up to ten guests. Both the four and five cabin layout have pullman beds in the forward guest cabins.

The exceptional features of the full beam master suite is heightened by dedicated access to a private seating area in the bow – a tranquil nook from which to contemplate the horizon. An impressive saloon, dining room and bar area is located on the main deck, with floor to ceiling windows providing panoramic views all around whilst also flooding the interior with lots of natural light. The dining experience is enhanced by the addition of a folding side balcony, which brings seascape panoramas right to the table.

Further entertainment space can be found outside the saloon, where the large outdoor aft deck area provides plenty of shaded al fresco seating and dining possibilities. The sun deck above the aft deck and main saloon includes generous seating, lots of sun pads, a whirlpool bathtub with room for eight and a comfy dining place – a perfect backdrop to relaxing, sunbathing and socialising. For those who wish to be closer to the water, the 36-metre design incorporates a beach club that is substantially larger than what one would normally expect on a yacht of this size, with further seating, a day head and a shower.

Economic running costs

With a Gross Tonnage of just below 300, the yacht will be very appealing to the Owner and charter market due to the most economic running costs for a yacht of her size and features.

Special features

The Mulder ThirtySix features the Van Oossanen patented Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF). We believe that traditional displacement yachts are just too slow and planing boats are often noisy, less comfortable and high fuel consumers.

The FDHF hull form allows for luxurious cruising at 15 knots, which is significantly increasing the itinerary range.

Tender storage

The transverse tender garage allows for safe and easy storage of a 6.25 meter tender, two full size jetski’s, seabobs & diving gear, kayaks… you name it. Finished with 25mm thick teak caprails, teak grated flooring and gloss white spraypainted walls and ceilings, this might be the nicest tenderstorage you have ever seen.

The aft beachclub is a very popular area for owners and charterers. Featuring a wetbar, 50″ TV, daytoilet, outdoor shower and  luxurious swimming facilities.

This area is optimized to serve as protected embarkation platform, for safe and comfortable onboarding.

The Mulder ThirtySix is build to travel the world. For safe and easy operations, the side-decks measure a large floor width exceeding 80 cm. The high stainless steel railings with massive teak caprails provide elegant views in combination with the lowered bulwarks. The ceiling-high glass panels in the main saloon provide spectacular views from the interiors.

A seven-person spa pool is located on the flybridge deck, directly attached to the attractive bar and 12 square meter sunpad. The sunpad contains full storage, large aluminium lids and teak decks. Finished with comfortable cushions, covers and a bimini.

The Sun Deck onboard a Mulder ThirtySix features a fully equipped outdoor steering position with plenty of seating, outdoor diner, coffee-break area and pop-out TV from the ceiling. The sundeck bar with cold storage, icemaker and sink opposite the service bar with BBQ are well integrated in the layout with the Spa-Pool area.

Impressive bridge

The bridge onboard a Mulder ThirtySix impresses all yachties out there. It’s a spacious place where owner’s and crew have their meetings and is often used as extended hang-out from the crew mess on lower deck.

All Mulder yachts are unique in their design to create their own identity, while clients are benefitting from a proven and high quality construction. Mulder welcomes designers and as everything on board a Mulder yacht is hand-made by our crafstmen, we are keen to new challenges.

“When we first designed the Mulder ThirtySix we noticed a gap in the market, and we wanted to do the same thing with the Mulder Fifty on a larger scale,” managing director Nick Mulder said in a statement .

The Mulder Fifty is described as a “four-generation yacht,” meaning that it can accommodate seafarers of varying ages. With an interior volume of just under 500 GT, the yacht offers plenty of space for the whole family. The layout can be adapted to suit specific needs, but the standard design offers six sumptuous staterooms. If that’s not enough, you can add a seventh room on the aft wheelhouse deck.

“This yacht is not only designed for the owner, but their children, parents, and grandparents,” adds Mulder. “She features, for example, a central elevator, which connects all the decks, allowing for direct access to her exterior decks.”

The living quarters center around an expansive main salon with Mulder’s signature central bar and floor-to-ceiling windows that afford sweeping views. The scenic skylounge is also fitted with full-length windows for more vistas still. The lower deck is dedicated to the crew, with five crew cabins, a laundry area, a crew mess, an engineer’s cabin, and the engine room, while the captain’s cabin sits on the main deck next to the wheelhouse.

The best part? The Mulder Fifty can be equipped with a hybrid propulsion system to lower fuel consumption and environmental impact.

Mulder says the newcomer marks the start of the shipyard’s journey into larger vessels up to 500 GT. Sounds like we can expect even bigger fleet members soon, then.

Mulder Shipyard

Mulder Shipyard opened it second yard in Zoeterwoude-Rijndijk in 2013, to complement its other construction facility 10 kilometres away in Voorschoten. The new yard focuses on the maintenance, refitting and construction of yachts from 18 to 45 metres. The Voorschoten yard continues to build and maintain smaller yachts.

Mulder Shipyard was founded in 1938 by Dirk Mulder, and continues to be a successful member of the Dutch yacht-building family of builders. A Mulder family member still runs the operation, and this traditional family business owes its reputation to the classic Super Favorite Cruisers, the later Favorite Superieur and a wide range of custom and semi-custom luxury motoryachts.

Notable Launches

The Mulder line-up includes the Favorite dayboat series from 13 to 18 metres. Each Favorite features classic lines, spacious cabins, light saloon and large open cockpit. The Mulder Convertible line runs from the 54 Open to the 72, with wheelhouse-design comfort combined with the freedom of an open convertible. The Wheelhouse line includes models from 53 to 76, and is the builder’s most popular design. Finally, the Flybridge line runs from 73 to 98 and features a slim bow and sweeping hull lines for top performance in all weather.
