Product description.

The Landyachtz Osteon has gotten an all new update for the year. This board is now more race ready than ever. The board features a front drop, giving you a reference point to ensure the same leverage every time you step on your board. The board has a medium concave that is both comfortable to ride, but also locks you in no matter the speed of the course. With a shorter tail this year, this board is lighter and more nimble than ever. Designed by the Landyachtz cowboy himself, this board has Billy Bones written all over it. The complete comes fully assembled with Dano downhill wheels, Caliber trucks, Abec 7 bearings and griptape.

Customs Charges

If you are ordering goods for delivery outside of the UK, please note that your consignment may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the goods reach the country of destination. Any such charges levied in relation to customs clearance must be paid by you. It is accepted by you that Newton’s Shred has no control over additional charges in relation to customs clearance. Newton’s Shred recommend that you check with your local customs officials or post office for more information regarding importation taxes/duties that may be applicable to your online order. You will be the importer of record and responsible for any import VAT and duty that needs to be paid. In addition, any charges for import clearance will be paid by you, the customer. Refunds of any returned order will be of items, not the services incurred.

UK Delivery

Royal Mail Tracked 2-3 Days

This is a tracked service, so you can check the location of your delivery. This service takes 2-3 days after ordering, including Saturdays.

Click & Collect

This is a tracked service, so you can check the location of your delivery. We will select the nearest Click & Collect location by using our given address. You will receive an email confirmation of your tracking number and location.

DPD/ Other Couriers

This is a tracked service, so you can check the location of your delivery. On the day of delivery you will also receive a text/email notifying you of an estimated one hour delivery window. This service does not include Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holidays. This service is only available for UK Mainland customers.

If you request that the package is left somewhere without a signature, this will only be done at the discretion of the delivery driver. If you do request an item is left without a signature, you assume responsibility for any loss or damage to the package.

Our parcels are normally shipped in Newton’s Shred branded packaging.

Can’t be home for the delivery? Don’t worry – Newton’s Shred can ship to almost any UK address so you can have your order delivered to your place of work, to a friend, a relative or neighbour. Simply enter your preferred delivery address when checking out.

We normally do not deliver to drop-shipping companies or storage/self-storage companies.

Changing delivery address while your order is in transit – if you decide to change the delivery address after the delivery service was confirmed and the information was entered into the system, a redirection will lead to a different delivery time and therefore, a delayed delivery.  Note that even if the new address is very close to the initial one, the information still has to be changed and the package re-labelled, which can lead to a change in the delivery date as well.  In such cases, it would usually be quicker for the delivery to fail then pick up the order from the local depot in the evening of the due date.

Almost all deliveries will take place as scheduled. However, certain issues may be out of our control resulting in possible delays.  Due to this, we advise against taking time off daily routines, such as work, to avoid any issues. An order can be placed to go to a business address if needed. Collect in Store

This service is to collect at Newton’s Shred store, located in Canvey Island, Essex. Time of collection will need to be arranged. We will contact you directly once order is placed.

Local Pickup 

We offer local pick up when at events or at meet up points. Generally most weekends we are out and about around Essex and London plus many events around the UK and Europe during peak seasons. You can contact us or we will contact you once your order is placed, to arrange a Local Pickup point.

At Newton’s Shred we give you the chance of securing your product, you are able to place a pre-order to reserve a new product or an out of stock due to be released / restock in the near future. Doing this will allocate stock to your order. Pre-orders will be fulfilled in the order that they are placed. The quicker your pre-order is placed the earlier your goods will be received.  When placing a pre-order payment you will be charged for the full amount of the order. Please note when placing pre-orders with other items in stock, we hold the whole order until all is ready for dispatch, unless stated differently. All re-stock dates given have been provided by the UK /European distributor, however are subject to changes beyond Newton’s Shred control. In the event a pre-order is delayed, we will notify all customers as quickly as possible.

World Roller Games Barcelona 2019

Landyachtz is incredibly proud of our global team of team riders. We may be based out of Vancouver but our family is spread all around the world, skating hard and participating in local scenes across South America, Europe and Asia. 5 of our riders have been selected to represent their respective countries at the upcoming World Roller Games 2019 in Barcelona.

WRG 2019 is happening in Spain from July 4th-14th and will serve as a de facto World Championships event for 11 different roller sports disciplines ranging from Street Skating to Inline Hockey. 2019 will be the first year that the bi-annual event will feature Downhill Skateboarding and Street Luge as part of their programme. From July 5th-7th one of the deepest fields of skaters and lugers ever assembled will race at the Parc Montjuïc in Barcelona, and we’re stoked that it will include a number of Landyachtz riders.

Troy Grenier – Canada Troy is a Coast Longboarding stalwart and veteran of the Landyachtz team who secured a spot on the highly competitive Team Canada delegation through years of consistent race results, culminating in his winning the 2016 IDF North American Series Championship. He is also a podium fixture on the British Columbia race circuit with 3 consecutive Sullivan Challenge wins and top spot in the 2019 Coast Outlaw series. Troy is no doubt a contender for the top step of the podium.

Dexter Manning – Canada Dexter has been known more for putting out videos than racing over the past couple seasons but grabbed a spot on the Canadian team with a string of consistent results over the past two seasons. Fresh off a win at War Horse DH in China, he’ll be hoping that he can translate his big mountain skills into a result against the fastest racers in the world.

Elissa Mah – New Zealand Part of the incredibly stacked New Zealand squad, Elissa was recently crowned 2019 IDF Asia-Pacific Women’s champ after a strong series of results in Australia and the Phillipines, including a podium finish at the Newton’s World Cup in Bathurst. The scrap for the podium positions in women’s class in Barcelona is going to be fierce and our money is on Elissa to be right up there at the end..

Max Grosfield – Netherlands Max is an up and coming rider out of Delft that is going as part of a deep Dutch squad looking to make a mark in Barcelona. Max developed his skating on Alpine passes throughout Europe and it shows in his fast, aggressive style. He’s fresh off a win in the 2018 Dutch championship and is stoked for the chance to represent his country on a world stage.

Vince Vasquez – Philippines The Philippines have long been home to a large contingent of fast, competitive racers, but in the past few years they’ve been travelling the world circuit in larger and larger numbers, showing their ability on a world stage. Making it on to the Filipino team is no mean feat these days and we’re hyped that Vince will be in Barcelona to show everyone what he can do.

With this being the first chance for any of these riders to compete under a national banner, and the first World Championships event since the IGSA days, many riders around the world have had this event circled on their calendar since it was announced. As many are looking at this as a precursor to potential Olympic involvement down the line, lots of riders have ramped up their preparation for this season from both a mental and physical standpoint.

This is going to result in some of the tightest racing that we’ve ever seen, so be sure to keep your eyes on Landyachtz social media for live updates at the event.

WE PLANT ONE TREE FOR EVERY BOARD WE SELL: We believe Maple is the best material for skateboards. Unfortunately that means removing maple trees from the environment. To give back to the environment we have decided that for every skateboard we sell, we plant a tree. One tree produces at least 60 boards. So with our program, one tree will turn into at least 60 new trees planted. We are excited about what we can accomplish together. When you buy one of our boards, know that you are making a difference and improving the environment for future generations to enjoy.
